Myths About Homeschooling

from The Modern Homeschool · host The Modern Homeschool

Today on The Modern Homeschool Podcast, I'm debunking five widely circulated myths about homeschooling. Most of the lure surrounding homeschooling hinges on the unknown and I am here today to tell you- most of it is myth. Myth #1: Homeschoolers never leave their homes. Myth#2: Homeschoolers are socially inept. Not true, take a closer listen on my socialization episode here: https://themodernhomeschool.com/podcast/homeschool-and-socialization-the-truth/ Myth #3: Homeschoolers are behind academically. Generally untrue, homeschoolers tend to score higher on all testing metrics and often study a grade or two ahead. Myth #4: Homeschoolers have less opportunities for socialization and activities. Myth #5: Homeschoolers can't get into college. Many sought after universities are looking for independent, bright minded homeschoolers.
