N185: Addiction and Rehabilitation Pt 2 - Remedy Choices

Addiction and rehabilitation is about intoxication and detoxification.  The main experience is with alcohol, drugs and medical medications – all being poisons in increasing amounts.  Choosing a remedy should be constitutional and based on the totality of symptoms, but if there is withdrawal that would need an acute remedy based on the immediate needs of the present state.  In general, getting the patient’s constitutional will be the long term solution, but short term I have given some good remedies for what homeopathy calls dipsomania in addition to all the other addictive substance, including gambling, food, and sex. All views presented are based on credible sources, but they are explained through the individual’s viewpoint.  Doing your own research while integrating new information is always important when forming your own viewpoint.
