N63: Rubrics in Homeopathy

Rubrics are the basis of choosing a remedy.  A rubric in homeopathy is a name we give to symptoms that are expressed by the person needing the remedy.  We use repertories and Materia Medica to list the rubrics and the remedies.  The remedy pictures of animal, mineral and plant remedies are in a Materia Medica, while the specific rubrics and the remedies that have the rubrics are in a Repertory.  There are paper versions and software programs that give you these, and I suggest always having at least one of each in paper format. All views presented are based on credible sources, but they are explained through the individual’s viewpoint.  Doing your own research while integrating new information is always important when forming your own viewpoint.
