Op een kletsnatte baan ging het afgelopen zaterdag gruwelijk mis. Tijdens een race in het Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) waren meerdere coureurs betrokken bij een afschuwelijke crash op Kemmel Straight. Van 't Hoff was een van de coureurs die crashte en werd vervolgens hard geraakt door een medecoureur. Het tragische resultaat was een dodelijk ongeluk.
