Namibian Elections

As Namibia prepares to hold its presidential elections, the court dismissed a case aimed at preventing the use of electronic voting machines. Opponents of President Hage Geingob feared the machines could be used to rig the results. Ten candidates are expected to run for presidency, with Geingob expected to win with a reduced margin, due to voter anger over the worst economic crisis since independence from apartheid South Africa in 1990.
