Today, our guest is Nancy Bui, Vice-President of the Justice for Formosa Victims (JfFV) marine disaster in Vietnam. Mrs. Bui escaped from her homeland of Vietnam by boat with her two young children in 1979. In 1988, she published “Bot Bien,” meaning “Sea Foam”, a novel describing the hardships and drama of Vietnamese people who fled Vietnam in search of freedom. Now based in Austin, Texas, she also is the founder and President of the Vietnamese American Heritage Foundation (VAHF), as well as an award-winning producer of documentary films.
