Her dissertation focused on how the white fundamental evangelical culture makes meaning about mental illness. She has an active private practice, is an assistant professor at National University, and is a program supervisor at Friends University. She is passionate about exploring how culture shapes meaning, especially within religion, and how it affects interpersonal and systemic functioning.
