It was composed by ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Melpathur Narayana Bhattathiri⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠, a celebrated Sanskrit poet of ⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠Kerala⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠.⁠⁠⁠⁠⁠[1]
