In this NASCAR episode, @FantasyBosco and I take a look at this past Sunday's Goodyear 400 and drivers running well into Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. First, we look back to NASCAR's throwback race at Darlington, which saw Joey Logano shove William Byron on route to his first win of the 2022 season. Bosco explains how drivers often race how you race them. I respond with why Logano is one of NASCAR's most aggressive drivers with an aggressive driving history throughout his driving career. I also say Logano needed a win after going more than a year since his last win. We are intrigued if Byron would return to favor if he could get revenge on Joey. After the Logano/Byron chat, we switch to which drivers are running well. I believe Chase Elliott is running well with one win and nine top-tens. Bosco explains that the hole Hendrick Motorsports team is looking well. He also believes it is a matter of time before Kyle Busch stars winning more in 2022. We then look at TrackHouse Racing, which has won two races. Alva's Ross Chastain won the first two races of his Cup Series career. What impresses The Big D is not just his wins but his great finishes at difficult and playoff tracks. Afterwards, we look at what's wrong with 2012 champion Brad Keselowski, who has just finished in the top-10 once in his first year as an owner-driver with his own team. Bosco explains how this car is way longer and less consistent than his old car with Penske Racing. He also asks me whether Brad K may have too much owning and driving his own cars. We then look at NASCAR's Next Gen Car's performance through 12 races. We both believe this car favors a young driver like Ross Chastain. It seems like this car is far more difficult to control. Kyle Larson has spun out the past two races. Bosco loves how this car has created more parity, but this car has made Martinsville and Dover harder to pass. We conclude by looking forward to Sunday's AdventHealth 400 at Kansas Speedway. Last year, Kyle Busch and Kyle Larson won both races at Kansas. We predict what will happen on Sunday.
