Nasim Nuñez’s Heart Beyond the Diamond | Washington Nationals News

Nasim Nuñez, a 26-year-old MLB player in his third season, has been nominated for the prestigious Roberto Clemente Award — recognizing excellence in character and community impact. Inspired by his mother, he’s dedicated years to youth baseball programs, holiday drives, and graduation events across D.C., believing that making a difference matters as much as on-field success. This nomination has shifted his focus from MVP dreams to honoring his late cousin’s moral lessons — a moment he says would make him proud. Among 14 first-time nominees, Nuñez was honored with a plaque during a pregame ceremony, praised by manager Blake Butera for his positivity, teamwork, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others through his platform.
