2023: Has played in all four games, starting the last two, going 31-of-49 passing (.632) for 398 yards and two touchdowns, also adding 47 carries for 150 yards and three rushing touchdowns. His three rushing touchdowns ranks first among all Power Five freshmen quarterbacks with his 150 yards sitting at second. Ranks sixth among all Power Five freshmen QBs in total passing yards. Career-high 13-of-21 passing for 193 yards (61.9%) with one passing touchdown, also racking up 16 carries for 71 yards and a rushing score. His 193 passing yards was the most by a Utah freshman quarterback since 2012. Was 6-of-7 passing for 82 yards against Baylor, scoring the game-tying touchdown on a seven-yard rush. Also threw a seven-yard touchdown pass in Utah's 14-7 win over No. 22 UCLA. 2022: Played four games, recording one completion for a 16-yard touchdown and five rushes for 51 yards and two touchdowns. In his debut game against Arizona, he rushed three times for 23 yards and two touchdowns. Completed a 16-yard passing touchdown vs. Stanford, adding a career-long 21-yard rush. Recorded on rush for seven yards and his first career catch for five yards vs. USC in Pack-12 Championship game. Highschool: Four-star dual-threat quarterback out of Clovis HS, rated the No. 16 quarterback nationally by 247Sports. Named TRAC Offensive Player of the Year in his first starting season at quarterback in 2020. Earned CIF Central Section Athlete of the Year for his football and track accomplishments in 2020-21. Threw for 1,672 yards (118-of-189) and 12 touchdowns as a senior, adding 94 carries for 812 yards (8.6 ypc) and eight rushing scores. Recorded 1,022 passing yards, adding 307 rushing yards and 13 total touchdowns (8 passing, 5 rushing) as a junior. As back-up quarterback his sophomore season, caught 40 passes for 577 yards (14.4 ypc) and six touchdowns, also rushing for 352 yards (9.5 ypc) and two touchdowns. Invited to the Elite 11 finals. Also competed in track and field, winning a central section championship in the 100-meter dash. Personal: Son of Jerome Jackson has two siblings (Jerome and Jonathan), brother Jonathon will be a freshman running back for the Utes in the fall of 2022, father played basketball at Oklahoma.
