AEBC’s first National Accessibility Week Authors Event of 2026 featured two inspiring authors who discussed their books. Hannah Levitt introduced her book. “All About Us: 20 True Tales of Courage and Disability”, highlighting remarkable stories of people with disabilities, including a NASA scientist, a paratriathlete, and a teenage mayor. David Lepofsky discussed his memoir, “Swimming Up Niagara Falls”, sharing his role in securing disability rights to be included in Canada’s Charter of Rights and Freedoms in 1980.Both authors answered questions about their research and writing processes, as well as the evolution of disability advocacy.
