Earlier this month the Football Association announced that more than a quarter of a billion pounds would be invested in grassroots football over the next four years. In Somerset this will see just under £1 million spent on developing football across the county. The custodians of this investment are the Somerset Football Association, charged with delivering the FA’s National Game Strategy.I spoke with Jon Pike, Chief Executive at the Somerset FA, to find out what the Strategy will mean to grassroots football in the county.
