The National Park Service has won an appeal making it effectively illegal for anyone to produce a video on NPS lands and then derive any commercial value for anyone out of that video without a NPS permit. In other words you can't even post a video on a social media site that doesn't pay you for it. If you want to film you will have to go through the permitting process just like the Hollywood studios and if you are lucky and can afford it Big Brother might let you in to film.
