National Parks and Recreation Month with Miami Parks Director Barbie Hernandez

Empower305 is celebrating National Parks and Recreation Month with Miami Parks Director Barbie Hernandez who has dedicated much of her life to improving the quality of life of several Miami-Dade County communities through her work in parks, recreational programming, organized sports, and open green spaces. She is leading the parks master plan ‘Reimagine Parks Miami’ which will assist Miami Parks in a guiding direction to make necessary improvements in regards to how we manage facilities and operations, programming, staffing, administration, and management.
