In this episode I will discuss: recommended read -  Love and Addiction by Stanton Peele with Archie Brodsky, my credentials and experience, NL implications, I am not giving anyone recovery advice, definition of addiction, addiction is a reaction to tension, addiction is not a disease it is a state of dis - ease, unresolved childhood issues, any human involvement can be an addiction, what people call love can be an addiction, there is no such thing as a non - addicting drug, reductionist ideas concerning the causes of addiction, treatment centers are not a automatic cure, 12 Step programs do not work for most people over long periods of time, addiction is based in a person's needs, America is an addicted society.
