Nature Nvoke - "Shadow" a 2023 self-released single This week’s Song of the Day picks were chosen by Sharlese, in honor of Halloween. For more dark sounds in various wave and synth genres, check out her show Mechanical Breakdown, Friday nights/Saturday mornings from 1-3 AM PT.  Cleveland-based musician Nate Eberhardt explores the gamut of genres, first through hip-hop and punk rock, but now, with his project Nature Nvoke, through darkwave electronic music. He reflects to Black Techno Matters about the moment he discovered this style: It was like nothing else I'd ever heard before. It wasn't just about the sound; it was about how it made me feel. That's when I realized that making music is not just about telling a story or giving people something to dance to; it's also about what happens in your head when you listen to it. And that's why this project is so important: because when we take our own experiences and make them into something bigger than ourselves, we're able to share them with others who may need them as much as we do.
