Navarro Accuses Fox of MAGA Betrayal | Portland Maine News

Peter Navarro, former Trump trade advisor, accuses Fox News of turning its back on the MAGA movement after Maria Bartiromo’s removal from airwaves — claiming she was sidelined after sharing internal Fox guidance about covering Trump’s primetime address, which he passed to the White House, sparking a furious call from the West Wing and his own ban from the network. Navarro links this to a broader pattern of Fox distancing itself from MAGA-aligned voices, citing past departures like Lou Dobbs and Tucker Carlson, and hints at deeper shifts tied to Fox’s Dominion settlement. While Fox insists it’s a business decision — and Bartiromo remains under contract until 2029 — her lawyer denies firing, and Navarro says she’s coping but deeply upset. Trump weighed in on Truth Social, calling Bartiromo a “true warrior” and expressing shock at her exit, underscoring the ongoing friction between political figures, media, and the narratives they control.
