Navigating a Strategic Acquisition

Zach Denning and Jeremy Spillman, co-founders of Hank, a cloud based HVAC software platform startup that was recently acquired by JLL, join Mark to talk about their experience in building the company and leading it through an acquisition by a strategic investor.  Throughout this discussion, they continually emphasize what we know to be true: nobody builds (or exits) a truly great company alone.  Zach shares how and why he sought out a co-founder in Jeremy, and they both share the value that key advisors and partners brought to the table as they navigated negotiations with one of the largest property management and investment firms in the world.  They also provide a little insight into what it’s been like to go from startup founders to corporate employees via the acquisition.  There is so much to learn in this segment!  Tune in.
