Born and raised in Trinidad and Tobago, she moved to the United States where she went on to earn both her Bachelor and Medical Degrees from Howard University in an accelerated 6-year BS/MD program. Shecompleted her residency training at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia and has lived in Northern California since. After caring for pregnant and postpartum women as an OBGYN for more than a decade, she now focuses on the unique needs of physician moms who rarely feel supported as they navigate caring for their babies, a new identity, and the ongoing intensity of clinical medicine.
