I had the immense pleasure of speaking with Richard Heinberg, Senior Fellow at the Post Carbon Institute about his brand spanking new report Welcome to the Great Unraveling: Navigating the Polycrisis of Environmental and Social Breakdown. The biggest eye-opener for me? The extra emissions from creating the hardware we need to avoid surpassing emissions limits could ironically cause us to surpass emissions limits.
