It is widely accepted that our educational system is falling short in its task of preparing young people for the future. I believe, that educators, individually, do the best they can with the resources, and within the constraints they face, to give their students the tools they need to succeed. As a whole, however, the system fails miserably. I also believe, that one of the top reasons we perceive education as failing is because it only addresses a very small part of who we ARE. The system focuses solely on the mind, and even then, only on part of what feeding the mind entails. If we are to effectively prepare ourselves and the important people in our lives to properly navigate through their journey, we must begin by understanding the WHOLE of WHO we are.
