NBA Draft Free Agency Idea

from Relatively Speaking Podcast · host Relatively Speaking Podcast

Welcome back to the Relatively Speaking Podcast. A place that took Twitter's NBA Draft free agency idea and turned it into an entire segment. On this edition of the podcast, the most important thing the audience will find out is that Jared Mintz is an elitist who also enjoys himself some socialism. As it is the weekly tradition, after finding out about Joseph's plans to go dumpster diving this weekend, Jared is forced to issue an apology to LeBron James. On Monday's episode, Jared was sincerely concerned for the best player in the NBA. As of this podcast, not so much. The guys then began to discuss some other NBA tomfoolery, but are holding off their NBA Finals preview show for next week. The mean streets of Twitter was abuzz the last few days over the idea of replacing the NBA Draft with a rookie free agency type of situation. Jared and Joseph discuss the pros and cons of such an idea. Is the current system ethical? What logistical issues would there be? How much money can we make off of this? And so much more. To finish the show, fan favorite segment Put The Poop In The Basket returns! This segment is dedicated to Lonzo Ball refusing to work out for the Boston Celtics. Is it bad? Is it good? Did anyone put the poop in the basket? Also, Jared yells at Joseph for calling Lonzo Magic Johnson-lite (like, VERY poor man's version). You can follow Jared over in the shadows at @JMintzHoops. Looming in the dark recesses of Twitter is the other guy @JosephNardone.
