This is the place where sports opinions can be in. Joining me on the show, we have FIFA, Shelton Spike and Nick. Was had a goal. Cuse that he'll be stopping through, you know, it's the NBA season, so the playoffs are open.

So and, you know, of course he's going to join in to give his thoughts on everything that's been going on. But yeah, man, if you guys haven't been up on it for the first two games, we've watched that together. And it's been fun. You can definitely see our journey as the game's progressed.

Definitely the first game. And the second was a dud, but nevertheless, we talked as usual about interesting things. We would not be able to do game for each tomorrow's Wednesday. We recorded in hip hop.

So, but just subscribe to the channel, man. That's Rob Budd, just so you don't know, get misses next time we go live. But before we get into NBA talk, let's start with the best performance of the week. Gotta give a shout out, gotta give a shout out to Coke.

Coke, Coke, Coke, Coke. It's starting to take the tennis world by storm, especially in black communities. She continues to surprise folks that don't believe in her. I don't know if we got another Serena Williams, but nevertheless, we have someone that we can't attention to.

Serena was just different. Serena was just different when they were open in their peak. But out of that comes Gough. And she started to make way.

She won the French Open. So, salute to her for a hell of a performance and comeback. Because she had lost the first set, came back one the second and third, and had the battle to win that third set. So, she definitely did a good thing and handled her business.

So, yeah. But, you know, it's some haters. There's always some haters out there. And I guess the hater is Savalinka, who was the number one ranked player in the match.

She said that she won the match not because she played incredible, but because she made a lot of mistakes. And if you look from the outside from kind of easy balls, so basically saying that I lost it, she didn't win it. So, she said I made over 70 on force, so I get pretend it was a great day for me. So, you know, you're still starting to see some of the same, you know, sort of discourse around some of our greats.

But, salute to her hopefully, this is the first remaining, because we lost the other one that got recorded. I was just about to say, can't I hope you wrap this up by saying, I was not only am I happy with her, because one, I was happy that I meant to put this in the notes, because we didn't give one shout out to look to her, because she was on a run. We didn't even talk about it like that. But, two, I was like, I hope she stay away from rappers.

I hope she like a, I'll turn it on. Stay away from rappers. I hate saying that as a black man show. It's stay away, I'll stay away from them.

Coco, what's the day? I forgot even her name. The sake. Yeah, Osaka.

Osaka. Right. You fucked her up, right? You got a prisoner and everything, they're getting dirty.

Yeah, she does. Out. So yeah, yeah. Yeah, dear, like you did his rap career.

Oh. Anyway, we're going to leave it there, man. Shout out to Coco golf. Y'all why they had to make somebody a beat?

Her career is mere and Serena's two at the same point, I think, too, which is huge. Yeah, so yeah, we'll see. But, onto the NBA playoffs, man. The NBA finals officially started last Thursday, and we were able to give our live reactions to game one and game two.

We now have a Todd series with Oklahoma City going on the road for games three and four in Indiana. What's one thing you notice about each team that could help them win this pivotal game three? Shelton. Man, it's going to start with execution on the offensive end and half course it.

Indiana has to do a better job of figuring out who, and I know it's late to be trying to figure out who's going to be the go-to guy, but it depends on who has a hard hand with this team, but they have to be able to find that person and take advantage of the weak spots in Oklahoma City, which it ain't many. But for them to win, they're going to have to do that. Okay, so you got to do is keep doing what they do and keep putting pressure on the ball, putting pressure on the halberd, and make it where the game is scrambled, and Indiana can't do much. So that's what you want to do.

That's how you want to start. But Indiana has to figure it out in half course that because they're going to have to play half course at some point and get out and transition whenever they can. Spiking, oh, you know how much? So what do you got?

Somebody got to get 20 points for the paces. Like somebody got to be able to go when they need a bucket to get them a bucket. Pascal, see, I can seem like he was going to be that person in the Nick series, but he hasn't been. They ain't showed up.

They're in over 20 points in either of the two games. So they need somebody to go get their own basket. All right. Nick.

Um, LaVara Burton, uh, nephew got a score at least 30. And I would say for OKC, if SGA is really that nigga, I know I'm putting a lot of pressure on, on him by saying this. And I'm only saying this because this is who he's been. If you look at the stats, if you look at their playoff runs, if you look at how the regular season went, he's he's, he's balling like he that nigga.

He getting 40. It's more like, and I'm basically saying whoever drops, most points between those two is going to win that game. Because I think this game is that people to where it's like everybody has to be like, fuck it. Or the, or the Mr.

Nick is going to show up with this game. Whoever will win this game is going to be like, I'm Mr. Nick and I'm putting my step on the series. It's going to be Halliburton.

It's going to be a shit. That's my main points for that. I don't think everything is just so even based off of the team. I think asking another player for any end of the score 20 is nuts because it's not going to happen because you don't know where it's coming from.

So you can't say it's going to happen. And then for the Thunder, you can say the same thing. I think I'm done waiting on Jalen Williams to show up. I think I'm done on a way to home grades to show up.

They young, they figured out somehow some way, but as she is, I think I'm three games away from winning the dog. Free for. Okay. See, their mindset needs to be controlled to pace when the race.

If they control the pace of the game, they will win the entire series because they play better. They play a better half court game than Indy does and they can run with Indy. So they control the pace, no win the game. And for Indiana, they got to play with purpose.

And what I mean by that is that oftentimes they've looked lost even in that comeback winning game one. Like it was what everybody's saying is like, okay, where the point is coming from? Where's this? Where's that?

Play with purpose. And it doesn't always mean that you have to be overly aggressive or you have to play out of character, but the moves that you make, the passes that you make need to lead to the buckets. They need to get back to get an easy bucket. So they play with purpose.

They have a chance. Nim Wit needs to stop acting like, you know, he got, I mean, he was an issue in game too, bro. I don't know what he's out there doing. He had one good moment and then he just tried to replicate that before court.

It didn't work. But for India, simple, like, Halliburton, he has to have an impact on the game someplace because Rick Carlisle, we know, will find an adjustment somewhere. He's the coach. I don't know where he's going to find it, but he's going to find it.

But Halliburton still has to find a way to when this team is struggling, he has to go get buckets. Now he's not a scorer like that, but you can't be stacked at the end of the game to make it look like you have to be with you for people that didn't watch it. It's a remix, baby. That's how it has to be pointed at this damn, yeah, because this computer is busted, man.

I might have to switch to it was probably a lot going on me. But anyway, but yeah, man, even though they won game one, OKC has looked like the dominant team in both of these games. And if this continues, Andy might not get another one, but they got to figure out a way to unlock everybody because with them is death by a thousand cuts. But right now, it's a lot of calls out on the court.

They're working for us. So yeah, man, I think we'll see they got everything under control. They're scrambling all over the place. They pretty much got Indiana a lot.

Nick, SGA going to get his. Yeah, I believe that I believe that. But the fact that Rick Carlisle says something that sounds like it's a compliment, but it sounds like I've been working on something and I got to pull it off again. Three, when he was like, you could you could talk up with what he said, people 30 34 points off coming off the plane.

And it's like when a head coach say that, it's like that don't sound good for you to allow that to happen. You know what I'm saying? It's like, OK, I'm aware that he could get busy and he's been getting busy. So I got to slow that down because all the mother niggas ain't been showing up like how we talked about.

If you slow down SGA to get 25 instead of 30 30 plus that that's going to be tough. I'm just saying. I'm just saying if you I'm just going to throw everything out because this is this game three is about as big as a normal. They say game five is a big game.

But Game three is like who going to start a series of my. It is this is important. I don't disagree. This is the reason why I was saying in Game two, I would have put Siakam in even parts of Game one to me.

Siakam on our SGA will be part of the game plan. Obviously not the entire game, but it spots where we need critical stops because the thing is somebody shorter to him, he's going to bump him, you know what I'm saying, create space and elevate and the jumpers too easy. You need a guy that's a little bit linkier that can absorb the buck and it still can test at a high rate. And to me, the only plan that they have on that roster that can do something like that is not.

But then if you do that, obviously we know how he is with the rest. You know, that's yeah, got that stock and they pinched it. That's what puts the eye on the foul trouble. And that's what I put the only other player to account on that gets you 24 minutes.

But listen to the words that I'm using. I said in moments when you need a stop, I'm not saying the entire game. I'm not saying that this is your primary. This is your primary assignment.

I'm not saying that because he will give me foul trouble. But when you need a stop, you know, saying incredible out of time out, right, we saw we saw Indiana make a run in the third quarter, right? Okay. See, call the time out.

What the okay, see, they came back and had they own run out of that timeout. If I recall out, I'm putting Tyree's how I'm putting on a CIO on SGA and it's like, Hey, we have a run. Let's see if we can get an extra stop or two. Let's not let them execute out of that timeout and let's continue our run.

You know what I'm saying? So at the end of the day is this. Okay. See is just a better team.

I'm just figuring out is Indiana because they don't have the personnel that truly matches up with them. You know what I'm saying? So they're going to have to play out of their mind. And Ken, you know, you mentioned, I'm not going to be disrespectful to them hard.

You know, yeah, he had a really good game one and you asked me, I want to say in game two or it might have been in game one when we're watching it live. Like what was the moment? And I mean, his three was that moment where I was like, Oh, wait, hold on. They're not out of here.

And being a role player, Ken, all you could rely on them to do is one or two games in the series. You got one new game out of them hard. Now, is it going to be game three game four? You're going to need at least one more, but they need the others to step up double zero.

You know, I'm bad with names. He needs to have like a more he needs to have a better game beginning to end, not just a spurt. Miles Turner, Miles Turner needs to have a big game. Oh, he taught me how to get a good game.

We can only expect one more from him in this series, but Miles Turner needs to have a good game. See, I can't even have like, Oh shit, like I was a user, I was a final MVP game. He's how he's how he's burning to have a game. So the pace is still have life, but that's why they got to play with purpose.

Who's the blame for games? Who lost? Ricardo or hella burn? You know, show up, like 14 to six when it was really losing anybody paid his test.

Yeah, yeah, three points, half time, three, three and three, half. Yes, insane. And I know people say he's not a superstar. And then that's fine.

He ain't got to be a superstar, but you're the best player on the final scene. I need more than three points and then 14 at the end. Like that's like, I know he's a traditional point guard and tries to get everybody off of it all, but at some point in time, it has to be a level of aggressiveness as the best player on the team. And he wasn't showing that we gave shit last round for the same thing.

Like when you had this level, you just the same role. Still the same thing. Same role. It's a different type of purpose.

The same role. You can't get it. What are you talking about? What were those roles are going to require some type of aggressiveness in the sense of you need to be putting points on the board.

If that's haliburton, really aggressive, that's not actually really pressing the basket getting in the lane and creating better shots for somebody, then do that. He wasn't doing that. The only reason I brought and up because we said the same thing about him last round, the aggressiveness may look different before I do agree with you there, but still there has to be more aggressiveness in that top spot. One of the players.

Yeah, it's like, yeah, see, and when I was thinking about this topic, right? I didn't want to use the word aggressive because aggression looks different depending on the type of player that you are. In Vienna, it's not a lack of aggression in my estimation. It's more it doesn't look purposeful.

It doesn't look like, okay, we're going here to attack there. We're doing this to do that. It feels like it's just up in the air. And that game one win was essentially like that.

They were just in striking distance. You know, say, SGA missed a big shot and Indiana made a bigger shot, but they need to play with purpose. I don't think the right word is aggression because their best player isn't necessarily aggressive by nature. And he doesn't have to be aggressive for them to be good.

They have to be purposeful. They have to know when to push the pace, even off a makes, even if pushing the bar is a result of a layup or an one or a foul or something like that. Play with purpose. And it's not aggression in my opinion because aggression means like when I think of aggression, I see Russell Westbrook.

That's aggression. He plays with reckless abandon in Vienna against OKC. You can't play recklessly. You can't play with abandon with it because they will make you pay.

You have to play strategically. You have this has to be a scalpel. Not a butcher knife. Well, really.

I was going to say that different types of aggression, just like you bought a Westbrook, I can bring a LeBron. LeBron could play the same way aggressive with the Halliburton should be able to play as the top player in the team. LeBron plays aggressive, right? What?

I mean, you made a goal of somebody. You're right. Halliburton don't fit that mode of Westbrook. He shouldn't be doing that.

We would all be saying he's crazy. LeBron did that. But that's the new set though. No, it's true.

LeBron is 6'8, 2'50, chase down. I'm going to say he's a broad people. I'm just not what I'm saying. That's the same style of play.

Of course, Paul is more crisp all. You got to think that's all we know when he's being aggressive when he give you a pick and roll. He going at the OOP. We kicking it out to the.

We see when he's being impressive, but he's perfect. I'll give you the perfect game. It was against Milwaukee, I want to say. I want to say he with 14 out of 14 14 out of 14 from the field.

That was purposeful. Every spot that he got to was purposeful. This is my spot. You're not going to sign me from getting to this spot.

You know what I'm saying? We're going to play a pick and roll. I want to say he had less than two turnovers that game and we see how LeBron plays multiple games now with zero turnovers and over a 15 of 6. purposeful basketball that's not necessarily aggressive is purposeful again it's I'm also trying to convey the fact that this needs to be a scalpel like like they have to be precise against okay so Q we've seen two games indie we had Halliburin in game one and Halliburin you know being so disrespectful and Halliburin in game two what what's one thing that each team can do to win game three okay just got to keep playing the same type of defense that got them there um I think Chet had a great rebound game I think that finally you know on offensive side because the defense side of Furchette is not in question SGA he keeps doing what he's doing he's steady he's not the reason why they lost game one either but that's a whole different story.

Jalen Williams they had a much better game too you know I'm saying and I think that the bench after the first quarter they got in control every Indiana the thing that killed them to me was the Thomas Bryan minutes were very brutal I don't understand why every time he was called for foul he kept acting like he didn't have his hands all over Hardinstein or you know St. Chet I feel like his minutes were really bad I would have liked to have seen maybe some Tony Bradley minutes and to half of those minutes honestly he's Bradley's not terrible but those minutes were stuck out to me as a big reason why I think they were a minus 18 or 19 when Halliburin got flur and they put in Thomas Bryan TJ McConnell didn't get into his groove so if you're Indiana I think you got to just got to hope that role players play better at home I think that they're gonna settle in a little bit and Halliburin has to be way more aggressive those first three quarters I think that the coaching staff should get him involved off ball personally a lot of what he does is not ball dominant in the sense that he's just kind of rock like it's not like Jalen Brunson in certain possessions when you have a coach who's just telling you you'll just make something happen but it's kind of it's too much sometimes where I want to see him get looks cutting to the basket I want to see him become a more of a weapon where he gets fired up in the corner or come down off of the pick something because I think he has enough range to do that and I think that he does train like that as well so I think he could be a three-point shooter in that sense and then open up the game for other guys Siakum that's gonna be the key for them in terms of the minutes when Halliburin's off the floor and overall just the transition defense kill them beyond that if they can so those things up it'll be a close game I think Rick Carlisle he's kind of a coach that likes to coach these games like prize fights where you know everyone's picking okay see it's like the undisputed chance right just you gotta get to the last round and make and be in position for the judge to make a decision and by that I mean Halliburton or SGA that's gotta be a clutch moment who's gonna clutch up and send it home so if you're in the end you hope for that if you're okay see just keep playing what you did in a game two and be ready for the best punch you like two things for you one I do agree with Rob Costa you do like a force ghost with the Eagles background you like the first thing that died in the report secondly I don't know is the shot in game one on a SGA because basketball is not about one shot that's kind of like playing I gave you one sentence answer basketball is not about one shot we don't simplify like that like it's just you get a little fun that's like that's a casual question you'll give it a casual response the niggas here the game was that was get out of hand at that point they had a big lead and they gave it up and at that point it was like niggas need to start making shots for us to continue to win this game even though they was still up the nigga was in it what people mentioned before he would left it he probably want to go put another doo rag on he was that's his spot that's his spot mr. not him there's not Lou is it not show that's his five mr. he's a mid-range king right now I mean he won MVP off of that right mr.

game is on the line well yeah basically essentially the game was on line because if I make this shot then we win because even though I'm at worst case scenario Halliburton pulls off for three and they tie so they go and they can still move but more than likely we was gonna win that game that's a lot of his because I joke well I'm saying I drove him off the 3.9 he took the shot my thing my thing is if he like I'm curious to see if it does get to the point where you talk about where the end can win it will he show up this is his first final so we over here acting like he's making before I'm not a big member so we're seeing the first a lot of things so I'm interested if it is like they're up by a lot of points but I think they play good defensive be up and then he had to keep shipping away at it and we're back to a game where it comes down to three to four points two possessions you would have to lean the Halliburton right as far as who's more as close to right now I think that Halliburton is just one of those close players in the NBA so yeah I'm saying but you said he's more close than that you believe that you had a bit money yeah if you're if you're giving me a one-to-one player from what I've seen yeah for sure so the SGA has like the proven that moment still I mean depends depends on the context of the moment if it's all about it's all about game to game and it's all about how much do they need you to hit the shot you know I'm saying like if they need you to hit the shot bro and you miss it because of the game you've had all game and they need you to come through now then it depends and by that I mean like if you're thinking it up like Halliburton was thinking it up and game on he redeemed that game one by hitting that shot and then you see how I'm not saying we overrate clutch I'm saying we over state clutch because clutch is all just an amalgamation of the events that lead up to it so when we say the SGA lost the game slum not saying you said this but I know a lot of casual fans or just you know even presumed hardcore NBA fans will say he lost the game for them I just don't agree with that as a role player if I have missed all of my shots and coaches I'm Janu Williams and coach is running plays for me and I'm thinking it up I'm not looking at SGA be like come on like no I'm looking at myself man bro I fucking miss six easy wide open shot I missed a layup I missed two free throws and we lost by two points I can't put that on SGA be like damn bro you got bail me out no no that's it's a team game and I got to take accountability check out accountability everybody and I'm saying this we looking at two perspectives of the same coin because you say he didn't lose him a game I'm saying he ain't winning he could have won a game and right now if we going in the game three a pivotal game which we probably expected to be close because it's Indiana home is it right so it is at home right so you would think they gonna come out you know at least the role players will come out balling because they know how people do this game is right now we've already seen in this final series already early in that if it come down to a clutch shot we know a nickel who made it or who can make it and we know a nickel who can miss it that does not vote that to me that says okay see has to blow them out but then lead to show the dominance in the series because when they win by a lot who lose they lose in a way that's like and you could have won it a lot I mean it's a lot of ifs in that and I feel like I could say the same thing that oh man SGA his to shot how the burn goes down gets fouled and won plus three and now they win on a free throw so I could but that's the whole reason I'm saying that would be on that one so he shouldn't be on SGA that he missed the shot when other teammates of his have also been fucking up have also been not converting on turnovers it's not just one shot like I could see it as you had a terrible game and then all right but redeem yourself this is one moment all right cool you didn't come through in a big leverage moment anything perform but if my team they if I'm a role player if I'm the fourth most important team on OKC and my and my star as 38 and he's killing and then it comes down to the fact that he needs to hit one shot and he misses the coaches gonna call us in a log room and yo touch up real appreciate it but hey all y'all sit down we had 24 turnovers how many points do we get off of this you didn't hit your legs you didn't hit your freethose you're not hitting your picks the way you should you're not you're not setting your screens properly you miss two legs I can't look at my star and then be like I mean come on bro it's on you not but that's bullshit you okay how many and how many other shots could have been those two points don't just are in that position playing Superman that's all I know we may have to move on but you do you have you equally great players on a basketball team when it comes to the NBA you think a starting five has you think a starting five has equal responsibility when it comes to that like in their unit I think that when you have a number two like in Williams you have to then look at him also be like where were you check where were you hard to speak where were you what why I said that's because at the end of the game we're putting into our best player's hands we all recognize that's your okay see what they're starting five right so and then also we scheme up plays that he does the best at which are mid-range turnaround three or shots or mid-range in general okay he had a good look in a club that's if that played with if he hit that shot I'm looking at a different I'm not saying that I think he trash I think he's not clutch I'm just not betting on right now because I've seen him in that situation and it's like him I thought you would do this because you have VP but this nigga who ain't even a superstar did what you just didn't do and I think you know we close it up but it's like I think that's a separate point and if that's your point on how you view him after the shot fine like cool he might not be as clutches you think but from a basketball perspective like all tall guys in the locker room and a coach is breaking down film nobody in a serious organizations can blame come on this year you be like no they're gonna tell him hey bro you make that shot all the time and practice you'll hit them via the next one more importantly though hey you guys miss every those you guys missing layups you guys missing open threes in the corner we we shouldn't even have our star in the position where he got to play Batman because we have 24 turnovers come on but no but then you see game two they come out and they spankish it so it's different now and you and now you adjust to what you should have done game one should have closed out should have come down to it that's what I'm saying hey Nick I thought it was funny when I wish we were remembered this the night of that conversation because people was talking about oh man you know always come down to one play don't come down one play it don't come down one play it's the whole game but I remember when he lost a Super Bowl I remember one test he said who he was like that falling in the third quarter was gay that's how I can't know what we're playing with you bro don't bring football basketball is she a real simple when you do that so I'll I have to make us a macro conversation about as he is clutchless because if you want to ask you guys be flat-out showing that big loss the game I'm trying to make it seem like he ain't winning the game when he lost when he came down the club has he made a clutch basket yet though he hasn't had to because they brought when they win that's what I'm thinking that's what I'm thinking that's what he's gonna have he's gonna have to have a moment I just think clutches overstated it's not overrated but it's overstated because it's all normally normally if you got to be clutch either your team is asked or your team be given up crazy leads or your team has always called themselves back from getting beat down and I don't know what you just get with the game a lot sometimes but the thing is always that how often of course Jordan hit a lot of clutch shots but Jordan was also had more games when it was up 30 and up 25 to go into the full quarter then he had to hit the shot though that's fine that's fine but the thing is though is that in the moment that we're judging Jordan even if it didn't even miss the shot I still would look at him like a great player I'm not saying that he lost the game like I look at it as in total like I'm not just gonna put it all on one gosh I don't think anybody and close I don't think anybody saying that she is a good player I think we just got just the moment but yeah but we'll be back we got more NBA talk right after this quick break if you look at a real conversation the motivations to be your best then you have to check out another week in the books another week in the books with Spike Lou Enrich is your going to podcast for growth and community plenty of dope conversations take place week to week as they inspire each other to be better through conversations another week in the books whatever you get your pocket the New York Knicks the New York Knicks shocked the NBA World when they fired Tom Thibodeau after he served as their head coach for five seasons four of which led to playoff appearances two back to back 51 seasons and an appearance in this year's Eastern Conference Finals something that hadn't been done since the turn of the century after having some time to think about this move what are the expectations for the next season and which coach would you recommend to lead them in that pursuit seems like it's championship or bust right because Tom Thibodeau drove the car as far as he can go and you know they they damn near got to the exit but they just ran out of gas so for me whoever they bring in whether it's Jason Kidd that they've asked to be able to interview whether it's Mike Malone which is also you know a New York guy it's championship a bus ain't no oh you know this is making to the Eastern Conference Finals this then the third also they're talking about making another big trade this offseason to make a roster even better so those two things happen it's literally championship a bus Boston is out the way now with their best player being hurt he's not gonna be there for the majority of the season you know Philly's a dumpster fire he's relatively wide open you know the trade is still improving so on the up and up so for me New York has to look at this opportunity like okay if we're knocking on the door like we ought to tear down the door next season and that's it I think Malone is the only coach that's acceptable to replace Thibodeau after how far he took you I'm not having conversations with Jason Kidd who hasn't won anything just to get honest I'm not having conversations with other coaches that have won championships the best coach on the market is from New York he's on the market like that you should only fire too but I was the playing of Mike Malone is coming in let me ask you what they will do what if you know from a reliable source that Yannes says I'll come to I was publicly said I want to go to the next if Jason Kidd is the coach what I gotta give up I'm just saying that's what fuck on S.A. Yannes said it was a big story. I was on a bus and they can fuck everybody else yeah I was on a bus and that ain't championship a bus Yannes is a great addition to him but let's say we lose our whole bench. They have a bunch of you have this now.

Exactly so now I'm that starting five to a so-called he's been working together I gotta give up three of those people get Yannes here so now I got Yannes Brunching whoever left and expecting Jason Kidd to do something with that. I think a lot of people would go to New York a lot of people go to New York because they just want to play with Yannes and you know a lot of mid-level exceptions and they got contracts to move as well but um see I think as though that this picture has become a lot more muddy especially today with Yannes doing his interview I think he was talking about how like he wants to stay in Milwaukee that's not to me that's that's death if you're the Knicks because the whole off season should be centered around Malone and getting Yannes here I don't really see there was a lot that had to happen of course the Knicks could repeat or get better for sure under Malone even if they keep all the same pieces but I just feel like lightning doesn't strike twice you know what I mean I think that the Pacers last year they got hurt against Boston and they framed out they come back this year healthy and there's a progression here the Knicks get to the front step and they trip you know I'm saying because I think of a lot of things we spoke about last week with you know how players are used and just tips as a overall coach the macro picture of his career we get that but if you're the Knicks and you're out of a Yannes sweepstakes because he just you know he loves Milwaukee so much like all right cool that's great but then you're talking about Jason Kidd as well that just sounds like this function again coming back to the Big Apple and I'm not I'm not here for any of that so if we have to try to change the honest is tuned and we have to try to get Mike Malone here at all costs I'm not trying to hear Jason Kidd and then bringing in like Clint Coppella as a backup and then trading a couple contracts for a shooter like knock knock that's not that's not doing it for me personally so I'm gonna put more respect on Jason Kidd's name but I won't disagree that I don't think that that's what takes a moment of time I think it is a lot of a move from Thibodeau to Kidd I don't think he takes you know the time alone does it for me no not today not in today's basketball it really doesn't matter man y'all we talk about the coast part but we need to be looking focus on the court if they don't make moves off the court then they're gonna take a step back I think that what we saw from Detroit was a precursor for what was to come for them they are ascending they're not gonna stay in the same place I'm not gonna say Cleveland is necessarily sending I just think Cleveland to be more of a threat next year New York will not win with the process they had a great run issue it really really did but I still don't believe in cat I never have never will we know what what everybody else is a round-breasted we know brothers that guy but the other guys I'm not so it on any of them except for McElbridge's in at times oh he plays good but other than that those guys need some work man so you got to figure out a way to get honest there that's the biggest thing for me if I was a next person is to get honest in the building and then you'll be a figure for now we forgot coaches coming up but that's what's gonna be the difference the coaches not gonna make a championship difference right now for the team I'm interested in the guy I was his name Q is it Johnny Bryant yeah yeah I'm interested in I don't want to reach for it I don't want to go back to Mike Malone because he's basically a slim version with better hair time pivotal even well he does have a title but he had literally one of the greatest centers of all time to do that we don't have that on our team so we have a good center he's not an all-timer but I'm with whoever said it but I think we got to go into the honest we states it's the next they always do this so might as well keep up with tradition try to get try to get him don't obviously give everybody but Brunson and then we could figure out the coach down in the back you know down the line because like Sheldon said bruh if you can't keep your job after winning 50 games think about to the east the comments why don't we even waste the time trying to figure out who can coach these mother we didn't get the mother in the room and whoever they like it's like all right cool we'll pay you about 20 30 days anyway you're right Nick what if they want Brunson I don't do that don't even wish that oh that's not okay that's all about it what do you mean but Brunson Brunson is the reason why you even are able you're in the Yada Street face you can't trade the reason why you're even in the Yada Street space for Yada's I think somebody's daddy be in the coach that's not about the day to go yeah it's an honor so y'all isn't worth Brunson no okay that's not what we're saying here y'all go I know can't is being super messy right now can't you don't have a championship team if you don't have Brunson and they should do what up you have your honest the honest is the what Brunson has done the honest is the is like he's gonna be the motor to the vehicle because you can't drive it but it's everything else is what Brunson is brought like he's everything else he's the wheels all right shit we're honest with the motor like you're not didn't know where without those two you need those two pieces to go so it's like you know saying people more of a car got in me but it's like there are two key pieces for this vehicle to get from point B I'll tell you you're not a diesel point you feel me honest is the car Brunson is the key you know I'm saying to help each other one is probably more valuable y'all this is the engine Brunson is the transmission you feel me first the second the third because of Brunson I can't okay I'd rather have Martin paint on my team but this is but this is a very pivotal moment for New York basketball fans because if you fumble this your window could no I'm not I'm not speaking to you say I'm not speaking to existence I'm just like the NBA with the second apron the whole reason why there are these these aprons matter when I just talk about cooking but um reason why these things matter is because the NBA wants shorter windows they want people to strike as soon as they have talent they want to you know manufacture people to become winners as soon as they can when they notice that they have a great star like Taylor Brunson came gave him the extension and they took the pay cut right hometown hero everyone loves him for that you can probably never trade him for the next two seasons of our crazy injury because of that and the reason why the second aprons are so like hard to you know get around now is because I think the NBA wants you know you see these finals now Indiana okay see they want teams that when they're in the window you know strike otherwise you're gonna get penalized and you're gonna get poached for your talent so this is the moment now let me say this I think with the way the finals are looking ratings wise I think they don't give a damn about okay see you Indiana after this year so so we see how that go but uh and Adam said we can say whatever the hell he want to say but um what does last thing I have for you guys before we move on what does a reasonable trade package look like for Yannes to get you literally give them a blank check besides Brunson like hey like who do you want in cat I don't think you got the reason why the reason why I feel like you have to include cat because if you're Milwaukee I don't think you just want to outright tank I think you want assets back if you can get cat and then maybe one or two first-round picks another player for whoever else you're probably gonna have to send somebody with Yannes as well it's gonna end up being a Kuzma first contract or you know I'm saying a Brooklyn because it's up for extension honestly what I would do I'll do McBride bridges cat a couple second round picks for Yannes you want to come off that's gonna that's gonna go that's gonna go that's gonna that's gonna sound like I'm just saying like that's how much if I'm the walkie I'm gonna be like okay I'm you will at least kept me on the line it's gonna be it's gonna be cat OG in two first I can't I can't give up OG you I'm only saying because bridges bridges bridges contract is up next year they don't want to do that I was gonna say I think you're gonna need a 13 and McBride bridges is gonna have to be part of that move and from from a bus perspective not necessarily like oh you know we want to keep them in and and and re-re up no you're gonna acquire him and ship his ass back out so there's gonna be another team that's gonna want McBride bridges that you can flip for other you know future assets in terms of traffic but I definitely think it's gonna be a three-teen trade if I'm New York I'm not giving up cat or brunch you can have everything else OG occupies the safe space is Yannes he could go McBride bridges as well everybody else can go oh here's the thing you and I understand that the big three the way that the the tax is set up in the league it's unfavorable but I think that if I'm New York I have to try to keep keep cat like I have to it's a must it's a must with Yannes on the squad because you want a big that can stretch the floor that could play opposite Yannes which is the reason why he gave Brooke Lopez so many more extra years in the league number one he took his games to the three-point line with number two it allows Yannes to be Yannes you get rid of cat they played position of people in the honest yes cat either one of them could play small ball five either one of them and they could play together they're games like a couple of men are you're not bearing away from the current tree and though talking about going to get honest we look at Indiana who didn't make any will they brought posca oceacame but most of the time it's on the ground okay see is 12 feet they didn't make any trade most of the time it's homegrown drafting while the next waste their time on a y'all sweepstakes and we don't even know what is happening because the versus let's build on the squad and we got every every team that you're talking about or for the most part are small market teams small market teams have to do that because no free agent is going there I don't want to necessarily get traded there and I'm not choosing to go there either the ball game situation was a little different obviously was coming off of injury and all of this type of other stuff and okay see had the assets to pull that off right they also got Carmelo Anthony on their same squad that's an ugly that doesn't happen often the smaller market teams Indiana okay see up Milwaukee who who who is gonna say yeah I want to go live in Milwaukee perhaps a year yeah even more so even more so even more even more so than that too he's going like you said they got that that that Hawks fever where you went too many games to draft in the position where you can build like that you can't build that way if you want to those things like New York is winning they're gonna be in the playoffs so there's no way they're gonna get that guy that's gonna be a game changer in the draft you go have or you know my friend just like Indiana you lease a bad organization of a Tyree's Halliburton all right yeah I was just trying to get a get a picture of what the next will look like after the trade to see if it will be enough to win a title not get to the playoffs and that's what expectation guard is for the title there's no you do moves like this that's what I'm saying I was with Ophion is because it's like if we got a guarantee a title he's the only person I can say with him and Brunson okay I have a chance to get in the title it's New York so you just got to go for the dust I mean like you know it really matters just like a brandon given up on the villain over nicks already one year just NBA can is my college I mean otherwise okay we'll be back after this quick break with we need to talk and then we got some NFL talk man so stay tuned if you are a fan of gaming then you need to check out dead in gaming dead in game brings you honest reviews the lariest moments and deep dives into the conversation take place in the industry no sugar coating just real gamers gaming check out dead in gaming the world's most dangerous gaming crew on twitch or YouTube just look for dead in gaming atl that's dead in gaming atl oh watch man hey we need to talk same thing hey I was gonna switch it up because we covered it a little bit because I look at the notion but I'm gonna keep it the same and the reason why I am is because the person I'm thinking about is Tyree's Halliburton but not for why you may think it is just about him being a superstar we had this discussion a week ago and a lot of us were talking about him in his low-end terms when we talked about all the things he's done and the place he's making we talk about these clutch moments and the conversation came up about was a superstar I think the room was about half and half now if we watch these two games the last one in particular where after three quarters he had five points four rebounds at the wrist is can we still say with certainty that he's a superstar based off what he's done so far if you ask me the answer is no we can't say it because here we are needing him to make moves and do the things that we just talked about him doing we don't need that moment for him during the regular game not just at the end we need him to make a move during the game he played bad in both of these first two games Tyree's Halliburton is gonna have to use right earlier he's gonna have to have a 20-point 30-point game here somewhere and I don't know if he's a true point guard but he's got score points he's got to make plays and he's got to be aggressive so Tyree's Halliburton superstar or no superstar right now I say no cool gotcha hey I agree the way I ain't never thought he was a superstar so I didn't even start talking like that a lot of people thought so many a lot of people no shots can no shots he's good for a game where he's a he the light skin Robert Orey that's then that's a good one he the light is good in it yeah he a nigga that we remember for the good times of a little room for the bridge you know huh Reggie Reggie Millen never hey Shelby yeah Tyree's Halliburton man this should come in our party and unless you're both in it should be safe to do so well moving on to the NFL it's my title finally god damn I can tell it's finally some news and they didn't pay let's get it the Pittsburgh Steelers man the Pittsburgh Steelers and Aaron Rodgers are finally agreed to terms on a contract that will make Rogers their starting QB for the 2025-26 season the one year 13.65 million deal includes 10 million guaranteed and can be worth up to 19.5 million with incentives what are your expectations for the Steelers now that Rogers is officially on the team I hate it absolutely and I this is I despise the move can't hate it more but Pittsburgh organization just for the past like four years I don't really know who's in charge anymore I don't really know what's going on a lot of the fan base that I interact with within reddit streets they're all confused half of the people they might Tom on is the emperor of Pittsburgh who controls every single decision he's ruling the franchise the other half is blaming this on the runies and if I do that they're cheap and they're trying to run the team like it's 1975 still and that type of confusion from those two camps it leads me to just not knowing what's going on so you have in the last three years the ability and the hope of certain fans to draft young talent they have not done that every single season preseason they pick the Steelers to win five games and I think that they're doing that right now as well the issue is is that they're gonna probably win 11 games with Aaron Rodgers and they're probably gonna lose in the first round again because they're not really getting younger at key positions and they're getting older at other key positions so relying on tj y and cam hayward to win you five games again with Aaron Rodgers I think he's better than Russell Wilson as a pastor right now if not like on par but I just take the move because I just don't know who's in charge oh par I think when you say Russell Wilson and Aaron Rodgers I think they don't par what's the reason this is a bad move for the Steelers because we had that essentially in place last year and even if you want to take a step down and see what Justin Fields give you when signing to the discount contract like the Jets did you still in the better position than you are with a one year of Aaron Rodgers like the benefit of the doubt is being given to Aaron Rodgers to think that he can come in and take my team here and we may place possibly make a deep play off around before tj y gets to old it's ridiculous there's nothing that's been shown from Aaron Rodgers for the last five years that would say oh but he can take those deep play out the possible ones before so it's not individually individually team you want to paint it Aaron Rodgers is not a dude that you've seen the play in the last five years you can say man he might come in and possibly was a super that's it they give them a bit of the benefit of the doubt because of his history okay but but at the end of the day that's respect Aaron that's number one number two so is that what Russell Wilson was a Russell Wilson lost that respect when he was still with the franchise that drafted him when they threw the ball at the goal line when you have somebody named Marshall Lynch that's what they want to stop okay Blamey get on Russell I'm not blaming that on Russell what I'm saying is they lost respect for Russell Wilson for throwing that in a section and his career has been a downhill trajectory ever since that's number one number two is that with the Steelers it the mindset here's the thing I'm not pro Aaron Rodgers to the Steelers because I feel like this is not a long-term solution and ever since Ben Roth is very has retired they haven't been able to find the incumbent that's the overarching issue Aaron Rodgers doesn't solve that but the idea is if we're in one of the toughest divisions in football we don't have losing seasons and we feel that we're literally a quarterback away from making a run I can see logically from their standpoint why this makes sense for them again I'm with y'all because even if Aaron Rodgers right like let's say they make the AFC Championship game you bring Aaron Rodgers back how long are you gonna do that for because that's not that you don't have a long runway there you know I said the reason why that the Steelers have become the Steelers in modern era is because you drafted Ben Rockwhisburg and Ben Rockwhisburg got you to two championships you need to find the Arab parent and that's their issue that they haven't drafted Groob or brought in a guy that has enough runway now you know the reports are that they wanted to keep Justin Fields but if I was just a few I would have wanted to say after they treated me how they treated me you know say I started we wanted you brought in Russell you started Russell Wilson over so I'm not just a little guy that much leeway to be like I don't want to be here he should have yeah yeah and it was draft pick side of that too but FIFA bring up what you said you talked about Russell Wilson losing respect of that game with winning Aaron Rodgers what has he done since then himself in that same amount of time he had done anything he said five years since I said five years old okay yeah all of a sudden all I'm saying is that he hasn't lost respect in the league why why why he's still so sure what is he doing if you don't tell me a Russell Rodgers pick on a Super Bowl player if you will tell me that and then tell me that Aaron Rodgers has lost no respect it's something crazy going on right there the one thing that we think about we think about Aaron Rodgers is when he been back to a Super Bowl and every time you think about him you think about the off-field distraction that he's become in these last few years he does more from that than he has on a football field also we talk about Pittsburgh Pittsburgh is not one player away they don't even have a starting running back you just traded away your number two receiver your long and truth on defense they got a lot of weaknesses on that team I would say something though is like I think this may right y'all can easily correct it from wrong there's only four quarterbacks right now they got a Super Bowl it's Rogers Patty Stafford and Hurts so we're meeting that like the other ones we got experience who got who have like deep post-season experience everybody else from the niggas who we're saying is better to Aaron Rodgers have probably not even yet to make it to us so let's go let's just do a fight so let's just do a fight oh yeah let's just do Super Bowl appearances in the last four really gonna be about to get good I mean sure you keep on going sorry but a Super Bowl appearances to me the last seven eight seasons I'll give that respect really six seven honestly he's kind of stretching it but um yeah I mean I don't know it's just with the Steelers there's just like Sheldon saying there's too many issues I don't understand the philosophy that they're building with I used to have coherence like my father's is the last man so it's like I grew up on like the shaytown's and I grew up on Torpaul Marlou and you know Casey Hampton like these these are real dogs like you know I'm saying I'm fad and all these people I tailor so when it's so when I see what the Steelers have become to me this just can't be the doing of one coach like this just looks like two organizational ineptness to me it looks like there's too many cooks in the kitchen it looks like somebody could be having their authority overridden some I can have too much authority and there's just infighting that we're not hearing and the reason why I say that is because the Steelers have kept infighting under wraps for so long with different players they Tom is the ultimate band-aid for Antonio Brown's issues as long as you go out there and perform I'll protect you from the media George Pickens for three years George Pickens was ready to crash out after every game and Tom would put his arm around him so yo just chill I got you until he can't stop I can't take it till he can't protect you anymore so I feel like if that's how you are with players there has to be within the brass problems going on I'm saying this can't they kick the can on this shit they ain't trying to say the real shit I was I ain't having to do this that's why I'm trying to let y'all talk first see somebody gonna stand up blue I know you're yes ain't gonna do it see was fucking up no it has nothing to do with this move inside of the city was fucking I was because they could have drafted should in hell around to where they could have played both sides of this of where like we bring in this young QB who has potential and he can be quote on quote-unquote I don't know I mean he did something with Jordan loves that he helped a lot from time so he can give him some advice they'll bring him along so no matter how good or bad this season went we still got somebody in the wings somebody you could have gotten the third order for around you know I'm saying like you even have to reach to get up to me so yeah that's so to me is just like you didn't do all that to just wait what two months longer than you probably could have to reach a son of 40 year old drug addict like it's like fucking up and y'all keep on trying to say what was the Steelers you know saying that he ain't got no loser record this I'm like that's fine but you know what he write he had right now so he real me it's been real me it for a long time you know it ain't gonna take you over the top of the do see the eye they put a lot of blue he was most suspicious in 2016 they put a lot of the burden on my time and being such a good coach because any other innovative organization even if you had no plans to draft to a sentence you still can take a flyer on him once he started dropping down in the draft and now to you guys point I at least if he comes in here and plays as well if people have been reporting he plays and kept I've got a flower on the future the reason that this Aaron Rodgers decision is so dumb is because like I can't remember who just said it it's just like we kicking the can down the road like this may be good for what a year two years possibly who knows if we don't even know if Aaron Rodgers is gonna come back if he does go to an AFC Championship game we don't know how him and Tom are going to interact with each other week eight week nine week ten when Aaron Rodgers started tripping shit even a training camp we don't even know if Aaron Rodgers is gonna come to training camp he's notorious for that it's a whole lot of problems that still doesn't sign enough but it just don't seem to be worth it and if there was somebody that was coherent in the front office they would say you know what let's go ahead and draft a quarter of it and a lot of them will have right a lot of the reasons why I thought maybe you know that well one of the reasons why I thought that people could have used excuse for not draft that you do was the circus that it brings for bringing it on the team and that would have been a good excuse for Pittsburgh if they had not brought in a bigger circus by Sir Aaron Rodgers so that that just jumped from the frying pan into the fire and you're not gonna be in the arts sweepstakes you already know that so what is your plan going forward who is the answer we know that you already know what happens something that too many niggas I was playing quarterback and then do shit we can always like we're all going out of the no coherence here like I thought you were behind this move yeah I don't know what this was you know I was by your take you know that's why I was surprised that you were behind the move it was behind it you defended it last time we talked about this you did yeah he was listening and talking about the bill of options you've got to talk about oh I'm gonna take Mason Rudolph into the season versus Aaron Rodgers yeah take Aaron Rodgers but I think we talked about the should do it thing and you were like they weren't gonna draft you do it because they signed Aaron Rodgers that's the plan yeah I wasn't in support of it though that was just why I was just doing it yeah I went in support of them doing it I just seen what they were doing I've never been in support of it and now even when my takes on Justin Fields about the years of doing this that probably would have been the best route for them just keeping just a few like and seeing over the next two to three years what we have here because you have a coach that has enough leeway to be like okay if they go five and twelve next season it's fine because they not go fire my time and now we're positioned to possibly draft our quarterback you don't know they're not gonna fight my time you don't know they're gonna fight my time for four five and twelve that shit organization I mean I think that we have to start approaching them like that at this point not like maybe not shitty but just organization like I keep saying it the philosophy you're probably true but like yeah I mean maybe say me pedestrian purgatory all these words about being in the middle like not knowing where to go you're not great and you're not trash and that's the worst place to be in professional boards because there's no where to build off of just being like this that's that's you know me that's the worst there's nowhere in life where it's cool they're like if someone makes food like that you're like how is it come on make you give me some feedback a girl you want to fucking date with how was it how was the day broke it's terrible you know me I'm on potatoes right now cute I agree exactly what you saying however McDonald's is an enfranchise and it sells billions by the day and if a girl's a but-ahead but she's available niggas don't crack what are you with the point of the dark star they will accept anything when you are used to five stars as a Steelers fans from 70s 80s 90s early 2000 when you're used to five star restaurant and now it's chicken and nuggets and soda bro you look at them like bro you fell off like what's going on like and that's where I'm saying the coherence is going where's the philosophy where's it at it speaks to what you said there is no spark in the front office there's no spark like they're not doing or haven't done anything in a long time make you say damn that was an interesting work that move they try last year was Wilson and just a few now they fuck that up like I was trying to take a bill for a couple of years when I spent a lot of money on quarterback work it gave them an opportunity explore what they had okay we'll be having a conversation we're having even I don't agree with it I think I had it all last year just a few like okay wait so Justin feels had that over looming thing of Russell Wilson is going to be the start of whenever you tell if I bring Justin feels back regardless of how I feel about him as a starter quarterback they say we going into this season but you being the starter and preparing him as a starter even a much clearer picture on now and the future if he can or can't play if Aaron Rogers comes in he's great I still don't know that he's coming back next year I think we knew what feels was enough to not worry about I think he's the last time I push it I'm pushing all my cryptocurrency on just the field to me he's he's James Winston like he's he's gonna go around he's gonna win a couple games he might be five six games on a really bad team but he's gonna be journeyman for the rest of you know what I think he is I think he's an athletic you know Smith I think he's tired I think he's talking about it I think he's talking about it I think you have a genos with the Jets and but that goes to what I'm saying we're having the kind of same conversation we said the conversation doesn't change you know you look is a beauty skin I think that even more say so say it was a bad move because we're still talking about what could have been with other quarterbacks what might be with future quarterbacks even though they sign what they think is their quarterback right now and nobody's convinced like hey man it's still my habit chances they got Aaron Rogers we don't know we've seen him play for the last three years he may suck I don't know what's up with the wide receivers like I don't know what's going on we got um they said uh they made trade for a crystal lava that's that's a potential that's cool that's cool they came out here with Lauren he came out here he's just going there and I get that but you know he's like his soul and he has a lot of respect for Mike Tomlin they've been in communication since this whole thing started but it's so good and you should have it it's easy and the honey will face kid you never heard anything I try to change the training camera right I don't know why do I'm here yeah you know he's a 40 year old drug I know you can only expect so much and Rogers and Rogers is gonna skip OTAs that we had a deep-out Chopra reading it every day they're gonna be talking about why Aaron Rogers ain't here and then we're gonna get two or three weeks of the season he's missing passion oh that would have helped if he was an OTAs and like we've seen everything fucking tried I'm thinking this year though he I was wondering if something was different because he's signed so quickly I'm like they make him come in he's not gonna be there bro I tell you it was not there though TJ why it's not there that's gonna that's gonna hurt a little bit if he ain't ready to go because TJ he's tired or he's tired of having to win the first six games by his damn self every season anyone's money are the kids kept he's they doing this because you know the end is coming as far as I know he's got no obviously him being down that back that back half of this that season was about him too it was just about his money oh he's starting to look oh he know exactly what he's like now he's like he's like me they'll be the day a little bit like it's not right now be right now because it's not how you can pay Cam Hayward and then you know I don't money for me like Cam Hayward 36 like I'm what I think you know I'm 33 we're long we have a long way to go but I'm curious Who's the office? According to the you guys know? Yeah, from Atlanta.

Arthur Smith. Arthur Smith. He took up. I asked.

Arthur Smith. Yes. He was not afraid to make. He worked with the thing.

You'll hack it. Fuck. The ceiling has been afraid to make move and they're looking very sacramental Kings. I mean, lately.

I mean, yeah, I mean, we have enough historical contacts to judge what we've seen. And you know, I mean, it's clear as day when big being retired, they have a plan of big being held in hostage for a couple of years. You know, and they weren't prepared on what to do after the fact that, oh, can you pick who was going to be it? And they should have had us in the GM or room.

Can you like let us move your ass though? Yeah. Yeah. And I don't know.

I think, and I don't know who's actually running. As well as asking, I don't know if the kids are running things now. I think the kids don't know. I think the kids don't know.

I think the kids don't know. Yeah, a lot of these kids don't know. The kids running a lot of shit. The kids running some of the bangle shit.

That's how shit ain't pretty. I think the kids don't know. Y'all got it wrong. It's crazy how Tomlin has, Tomlin's steadiness has made us forget a lot of this.

Ooh. Ooh. He's been thinking of something. I have to get shit out of here.

I'm not going to get shit out of here. I'm going to get shit out of here. The Steelers are manipulating the coaching genius. Oh my God.

That's it. Because they know he's doing it. Yeah. Exactly.

I'm not going to get this. I'm not going to get this. If you remove, if you remove Mike Tomlin, this franchise is like the fucking Cardinals. The Giants.

Not even the Cardinals. My God. Mike Tomlin has been back a coach. I can coach ass through nine wins since he's been there.

And that's what makes it look like. Oh, it's the Steelers. They got a French. That's not how we going to remember him.

Because we're going to remember him. I'm going to say this. And I'm going to say it right now because I'm going to come here anyway. They just going to look back and say, say, I got a ram.

Because they say I got to get one more eight. They just going to be saying, who the fuck is Mike Tomlin? He's the same shit. He's the same shit.

Tomlin did so far in his career. But my time had how he's his GM, he had six wins. And Mike Tomlin has had none of this support. If my grandma had wings, she'll be back.

If you want to say it anyway, you would be better. You would be better. You want to go ahead and make sure your audience is here. If you want to go ahead and make sure your audience is here.

I'm saying, I'm saying, I'm going to take a look. I'm going to take a look. He almost got fired. He almost got fired.

I've been going to the NFC Championship game. Exactly. He almost did. You know what I'm saying?

You don't talk to me about Nick. I don't talk to me about Nick. I almost didn't go viral. But I did.

Regarding the playoff, regardless, regardless. We might be in a position now where Mike Tomlin's coaching might be more but detriment to the Steelers than an high system. Not in the sense that he's a bad coach. I think he's a great coach but doing he is like bro He's making lunchables into like a three star restaurant Yeah, he's literally shopping like do for the bear with lunchables and the reason why that matters because I'm not sure he does bangles like Every season preseason over 4-5 games all be shocking they wins 5-6 games and every season He went 11 games Real quick, I'm gonna let you go he went 10 11 games and then after that we start having shoot Mike Tom again Fire he can't win a game.

So which one is can I ask you a question Q Was a majority of Mike Tom is tenure with Big Ben? Like was it more than like five or six seasons? You say I would say it's like 90% with big Ben. Okay, so you said he's making lunchables Can't him out.

He's a big lunch so Antonio Brown in his prime was a lunchable Sheldon TJ Why did the problem with a lunchable Sheldon? Oh, yeah, he has a couple of niggas a camera. Hey, we're not That's a lunchable too. Yeah, I'm just saying like a lot of what y'all saying is Mike Tomlin's record I was above 500 came through with big Ben in a big three Have talent he didn't do it When he gets fired LeBron is the goat conversation over and over again nobody's Being reductive because it's so go back and watch those games and see who was available to play but um, okay, so you can't Three pigs in the first half against Jaguars that you know me you always say I do I always say if you're available you're available.

I'm consistent. Well, you know what is available next topic With NFL we just witnessed what is probably the best work you can be class of all time And now we get to see what their sophomore year would look like in the upcoming season between Caleb Williams Jayden Daniels Drake may Michael Pennage Jr. JJ McCarthy and bonus which young could be do you believe will continue to step up and which young QB do you see regrets? I think the one that has the biggest step in year two is gonna be Michael Pennix because he played the least amount of all of the year One QB's and he definitely had some some good highlight moments But the biggest thing is continuity and we know that the Falcons definitely have offensive weaponry So I think another year in the system, you know, he's the question leader and starting quarterback I think he has the biggest jump.

I think who probably has the sophomore slump will be My guy in Denver. What's the name bonix bonix? I think bonix because when and I don't even know if it's all gonna be on bonix Like it be his fault But we're looking at a conference that I've never seen for a Hall of Fame coaches in one conference like that and If there is something to be exposed he'll be exposed in that conference And shout out to Smitty, right? We got a dollar still is right in the next job.

Yeah, you know, I think game Daniels is gonna take another step I think that he's gonna put a lot of it together I'm just pretty snap everything pre-snap is gonna be a lot tighter I think that it's just throwing mechanics gonna be better just because you have, you know timing down you understand you get in the second year with your Receivers very McLaren even though my corner is not at OTA's right now. They gotta pay him I but the thing is I'm sure that he's getting off the field work with him probably off site So you want to hope that the defense gets better and it allows Washington tonight after relying on Jane Daniels magic too much But the front seven is gonna get better. So I think that's gonna help Jane Daniels and his stats as well With Caleb, I think that he's not gonna regress. I just think that it's just gonna kind of plateau for me I don't see it with Caleb Williams.

I really don't I think that he's cool I just think that it's like diet Justin Herbert like he might have some gaudy stats here and there from time to time He might be like premium Trevor Lawrence where it's like, you know I mean, but that's just that's just kind of what I see and Pinnix. I don't believe in Atlanta So I don't know if that's gonna happen, but he had the talent can it can it keep him healthy? Oh, who knows? Well for me I I do think we'll see some good stuff from Pinnix He does have a lot of talent around him and they have the ability to get the ball in the right hands I think he's gonna show that he's gonna make a tremendous step from one to two For me as far as regressing I think it's a damn you in the reason I think that it's not I don't think he has far to fall but at the same time he he like Just blew everybody out the water making it to the championship game like that It's gonna be talked to do that in year two when everybody got tape on you and the fact that the running game will be a little weaker The offensive line is kind of they get it together But it's still like a little influx and the receiver continuity got gotta be there.

That's not there yet So I don't know why I disagree with you shelter is because who's their OC? What's his name? Cliff Kingsbury proved himself as least as an OC last year and I feel that this year They're gonna just have more wrinkles, you know what I'm saying? So like I think he's in a private position to protect Jane and Daniels from that sophomore slump because you know Teams are gonna have tape but now it's like well shit.

We can run debo We can do like there's just more wrinkles that they can do that I think it's gonna be harder to gauge what What jammin is gonna be in the second year? I think they can morph that team and progress it a little bit more I think Pinnix makes a jump. I think he has the weapons Not counting cow pits, but we talk about these on we talk about Drake. I think that the Falcons are in a great position I think Pinnix is really good to I think he throws out all these guys that we mentioned He probably brought up his ball.

I believe some of just period quarterback going the ball He's the dude that can do it and it's been a long time since Atlanta has had that you try to probably going back to Matthew What's the name at right? Right? Yeah, so I'm gonna take Pinnix as far as making the biggest leap They're probably even winning at the vision and then being like Sheldon true NFC East Hater I gotta go with Jake Daniels. I don't like the situation going on with Clearing because he asked for his money I don't like to hear coach I think that's going to dwindle down into Kingsbury adding them wrinkles That's what two of people said and people are gonna have tape on Jay Daniels and a ceiling is so hot going to where he went to last Year the expectations going to be Dramatically different and I just don't think that he's going to be able to perform now I said he's not a good player because he'll bounce back in here Really for like he's going to have a good career But next year I think it's going to be a really difficult year for him because they haven't done enough to solidify being a good Football team and people was cool, but like who is that and possibly have a clearing who may leave the trade or whatever it may be like It's not a perfect storm for him to come back and have a good sophomore season I think that he's going to really struggle this year and the Commanders will be scratching the head like that.

What happened? But I don't think he's not gonna be good just this year. I think it's a struggle. Thank you.

Thanks. Thanks. Do you think that you think that Jay Jay McCarthy is gonna be this year's endings? I think that's possible just just I'm not saying it's strictly awful piss talent, but Everything has around I don't think so because I mean shit like people talked about with the AFC West that NFC North I mean shit you got that's a lot for a guy Jay Jay in the best culture situation.

Are we sure the Lions gonna be roaring this season? First of all, they still division upon this thing while they got more talent than them I mean they got enough talent that's gonna make him be thrown off because he's never played in a couple of them Everybody else is like I'm not scared. I'm not scared of Detroit if I'm in the solo as a team as a team. Yes But as the quarterback, you don't know how much you don't know how much you're like a little shit around What's his name?

I think a lot of people look at Detroit like the Emperor's naked now where it's like alright? Like you got Campbell, but it's like who is it? You know, I mean you just run with real I'm scared like who am I scared of how does they go on like your big brother was gone now? Was a one-on-one and we got to see what you can do how are you gonna delegate?

We're gonna really see if Detroit and their brain trust has been grooming and elevating people that deserve to be there or is this Gonna be all-in-day Campbell and his brain trust and I don't know if you want that It's you know, what's gonna be interesting It's gonna be interesting to see how JJ adjusted NFL and I'm saying it because if you know We remember a couple years ago Michigan ran the ball a hundred times in the game several times So it's time for he didn't throw the ball that much and basically really didn't have to but we don't know if he can carry the load say Like a Sam Donald did with Sam Donald we knew he throws a ball up in the question, but on those games We gotta see him throw the ball. I like to see how he handles that pressure my response to that show would be He did that because of the coach that he had and we all right hardball with the coach I think the same thing about what's his nickname in He's a hell of a football coach Take Sam Donald and to do what he did if I'm a Vikings fan I'm putting on people do rag on putting on Sheldon jacket and I'm stepping out there proud this year Like I'm ready to roll like the Vikings should be a like they feel like they can win is the business Especially since JJ he got a year to sit and if he's a good student of the game He was able to learn like he was hurt He could have played They said they're impressed by what he's doing like the players It was a CL tear and I feel like he could have played if they just want if the Vikings were terrible and by early January I mean by late late December they wanted to see what he looked like I feel like Jimmy Hardy quite could have went out there You know saying towards the you know couple games But they were so good. I think that because of how much pressure is on the quarterback I can't believe William has to take a step forward He got everything that you could won't come into any situation in year two to it That's an easy pick though Nick because I'm only saying because he has the most press to me I was fresh out everybody to have a better second year because I think I Came into the season as a Jalen of Daniels fan and I knew Michael Penix was gonna get the starting job eventually I was waiting for everybody else to catch up especially the ones in Atlanta and So I'm not worried about them. I never believe in bonix.

I'll give a damn about bonix regression Don't be shit to be with me. I don't think that good anyway The one that I think is going to be regressing is Drake May which is gonna be shocking because they only won't vote in the last year Why why why we giving Frank Vogel race very broad whatever his name is Because I Know what about it he's gonna get the seasons of being bad That's fine for y'all, but to me is your mom a little guy fired for four four games if my great What doesn't win more than five and I'm like what the fuck out fired to our folks as a human you know the different The Patriots definitely have some leeway But the reason why Mike very well has respected a game is because he took a Tennessee Titan team Well, Mike Tanner Hill has a quarterback and made him into true like a team of each year that you didn't necessarily want to play You know what I'm saying because you knew that the brand of football was gonna be physical It's gonna be a tight coast game and if they're with this trucking this is that you can lose that game But the same thing that said who's the who's the head coach of the commander's Lou Campbell Quinn The same thing in Atlanta right can he turned it around and he got them balling and then when he got fired There was a long time before anybody believes him even Lewis question him now And why Had a franchise quarterback and Mike very well they're not Diverses the only difference is they're gonna be very regardless and we know that because they want drink made it They want everything to make sure the drink may is success really They traded away Joe Milton because they knew Joe Milton was coming on a good game at the end of the year They made it where he's like it's set up for him to be successful. They took the pressure off I'm saying I'm saying they did all that they did all that musical chairs just if they just only win five games They got a lot of games because it's like to me. I'm keeping the same You write people you said only difference was they didn't have a franchise QB all right now the patrons believe they have a franchise QB That's why they're right.

I believe you know more than five games with this Games what did you say earlier about the Pittsburgh Steelers and I think shelter said or may have been cute You know you're stuck in the Hawks purgatory you don't want to be good enough where you're making a playoffs But you're not really a contender and you want to be bad enough where you can re-establish and replenish the the talent on your roster And the Patriots are in a perfect position to be like a we believe in this quarterback He's still cheap and we can still potentially be bad enough where we could go get more guys now And we have a boatload amount of cap space where not only can we drive guys We could bring you guys next season all we have to do is show promise last season They show promise when Drake may came in it's not about winning games this season Nick We're gonna do worse of the week and then power rankings, but but before we do that Nick and people there Vable is literally running drills to teach Drake may how to be a leader and yes And he's also craft guys so we got to remember that as well like there's just like crafting him have a really close relationship Something that him and John mayo probably never could have but it's like They made it to male with a bad higher though they say That's going to be a lot different from how it looks for someone who's already approving head coach They don't give him a couple years as you know you can do it with mayo just cut him out But you ain't got well I just don't know if if Well, we got to see if Drake's gonna have command of the team like that If you have to kind of coach these things into him or you putting him in the center of the team Having them run these drills and stuff like that, you know They said the same thing I think about two at one point as many as other guys and tools okay, but I don't know We'll see but I think Drake may surprise some people they just have she off his players, but we'll see anyway Um What terrible office of game Three points a half time and then you try to come on late So So you know I've been all of the all-time By position so today is the centers at number five Yeah, I definitely got the five right originally I was talking to be about it I wasn't gonna include players that I didn't see but if I started researching it I was like it's impossible not to put those guys because of the accomplishments that they had so that being said at number five I got a chemo large one the dream You already can't you already for can't just take his headphones out people and number five I got a chemo large one one of the greatest centers to ever play with the people that have a head of him It's like come on, you know what I'm saying and number four I have Shaquille O'Neal You know most I've been a big man that I seen with my own two eyes The top three are players that I've never seen but obviously I've seen highlights And like I said as I started researching them and looking at the numbers a little bit deeper It's impossible for me not to put them up there. So I never got build Russell 11 championships Number two we got wheel chambalin crazy stats you look up all his numbers It's just ridiculous most players won't be able to eclipse the things that he did at his time regardless if he had the competition or not I could go play against kindergartners and not score 100 points or get three We got we got footage of the JFK assassination, but not a hundred points And then I know what I got to remember Mr. Sky hook himself though those are the top five you put them in any order to what we're talking all time I think that these are the five years that I'm playing again I feel like a lot of us would rearrange four and five in different Yeah, yeah, that's I'll say I'll say number two, but we'll come down one is to me one should be solidified One from high school all the way through the pros. Yeah, I could argue How came should be top three I think that he is the second best center Yeah, I would give a team in his prime like You brought up a good point before because I agree with you dominance wise I've never seen a big man like Shaq When he was in his bag, I've never seen anything like that he has shot early baby shot I have to get respected the Russell I will put him at two Man Black History to Social change and what he meant to his people alone of course like he might be the goat And there's a lot of people from acting who say he is the goat the thing is though is that sports and life goes on It's not disrespect because a lot of these niggas could also take the similar stance as Bill Russell did and a lot of them could come together But they don't as a whole separate episode but the fact that would be Russell did that always give respect He could be the damn near goat just off that He came to me just the way he changed the game for centers and change the game for just footwork period people I would have to have him top three just off the impact alone But like the dream like the dream shake the like the drop step like the ball face.

Yeah, like our D card It's still like he made they obviously look silly to the point where they were obviously all he could say was you know He was killing he was amazing out there and I feel like people come to him a king all the time for advice Oh, you know, I want to get my foot Kobe Giannis LeBron James it's on video. I don't think that people came to will and Bill Russell and said Yo, I need you to teach me what was just dominant in his era Bill Russell I give him respect for also being a player coach as well, but the time doesn't I would take shame. I would put shame in that five honestly I don't know maybe some crazy But like I think that I would have a korean Russell Hakeem Shaq Chamberlain the reason why I would put Chamberlain at five is some of the film that they've showed in some of the from listening to them Talk man They like well, I'm talking about later in his years came out there was dog is into now would move a team up a lot How many rings will one and do all that great as he was Winner but I really just believe that personally will and Bill I put them at four and five and I'll put him back at two Three like you know He was like the supreme Every he took a supreme Ben Wallace like and then why I'm already a cream defender But I imagine the rest of the be like you know saying like the like the mega version of what bill of them I was back in the time. So I give him the Know Bob Coosie was really good Hey, if you watch if I watch that silty documentary it do kind of touch on some of that I don't know the rest Yeah Bradenball Read the members chat we got tonight on a scale of one to ten.

I would y'all rate Adam Silver's tenure as commissioner Five five five is what I was gonna say I can't say enough about how I just feel like Adam Silver in the way that he's branding the NBA right now It's just a it's such a disservice to basketball fans everywhere I really feel like the reason why is because you look at the finals the way that they're marketing the finals to me It just feels like they're talking about a missing tournament like there's no Like a big deal you they're putting they're putting more emphasis on the missing tournaments fight than they did on the finals They're they're 3d printing or I'm sorry. They're digitally printing the finals logo on to the court guys I'll have the Larry O'Brien There's a very nice. They don't have like where is the player intros? Where's the team?

I want to hear Morgan Freeman to talk about I Was trash but I think there was a half-time show I didn't watch but they get what I've seen is they sent it he's gonna play but Adam Silver in a very very very tough Because the world is changing and transitioning and he has no idea what to do You know in terms of being forward thinking looking around corners to try to see what's next and how to adapt the product to The needs of the fans and meet them where they are I think he was good and allowing clips to be used on social media stuff like that to increase the brand awareness of it But it also could be argued that he hurt the product because people just got reduced to watching the clips and not the games Whether NFL at that time they were stinging you put shit on social media. That's your your account will be taken down They've gotten better, but they really locked everything down and over time when they understood a little bit more Then it kind of started to allow more more permissions So I think he's in a tough spot and he just has no idea what to do Because mainly because I think he has done a fairly good job And I do agree that you know He's been in a tough position because of how the world's changing how to consumer It like you have to meet the consumers where they are so being able to clip the game and reduce the game and just be there for the fans, but I think that he has a really good post Which is why I gave him a seven on the the macro of what the NBA is yeah I give myself somebody else a five and six I give him a seven because I feel like he has a really good post on what the macro of what the NBA is and what the future of That is I don't know if you guys know But like all of the efforts that he has in Africa, you know what I'm saying with NBA Africa Really trying to try to grow that that expansion of the NBA because we're seeing that a lot of you know The better talent in NBA now have even if they're not directly from Africa to have Africa to sit like y'all just like pass I see I'm like a whole bunch of you right you know I'm saying so like and also like the whole thing of trying to globalize basketball make it into like you know bringing in You know tournament or something like that with world teams I think has a really good pulse on that But the reason why I can't even give him higher and I do agree with shelter He definitely started off hot it has simmer down is because of the finals and stuff You know what I'm gonna agree with you There's certain things that I feel like is an oversight Which it should be your primary focus like the future and stuff is good to have a post on that But you got to still worry about the right now today What's happening tomorrow and I feel like they're losing sight of that Just listen to what people are saying for the last couple of years and he's afraid to make the move you just got to make it Reducing the world games is the thing that gets you all star game They try and everything they can to do that but they didn't work I just feel like okay, but then no one word I want to use tours is patch and tree and bravado And I just feel like the NBA is just getting as handed to them by the NFL And that's the reason why you know of course ratings and you know the history of teams and rivalries and just the nature of grown men hitting each other Is gonna make people tune in and be more ravenous of fans like the UFC has ravenous fans want to see people just beat each other up I get it but basketball comes from a Legacy of physical play it comes from a legacy of rivalries and I feel as though Adam Silver and people I'd be curious to know how you rate David Stern in comparison because a seven to me It's very generous because I would give siren like a eight But um the reason why it's such a problem is they don't market the teams They don't give us the lore they are so hell bent on this on this old tiny Promote the best player find the face of the league formula And I don't think that's the way that you can build the NBA's lore and their pageantry up I think you have to go from the perspective of you got to tell us all the teammates people's story because if you care about social Media so much like you're saying then you have to dig deep into the weeds of why these guys are who they are we do care about those stories They know fell people care about the teams Yeah, they have superstars They don't really get the Pro Bowl and that's counterintuitive what why people you know are not watching the NBA You're to be trying to promote one guy instead of trying to promote rivalries and trying to promote like you know The magnitude of the moment and I think that they are sorely missing on that and that's Was killing this right now kid is because they was there in turn over his grave because he was like But absolutely fucking up the game. He didn't make America great again with his mask People over here told us all the secrets that happen wise stuff so great shit because he out here wearing he water and everybody grabs But his I don't even know what I'm silver. I mean, you know, whatever his name was to do David David's turn but make it because we're talking about is not making the American product as big as it's supposed to be like You're over here worried about global shit Trying to take it to the omp team level when the product at home ain't really selling like it used to The finals is in the tank and I'm sorry I know people are like here That's busy and everybody else gonna be basketball players gonna watch anything All right, I'll tell y'all and get together and watch the game but there's millions of others that they try to reach me because this is the biggest moment of the sport and The ladies don't know that don't mean that's not good for advertising That's good for those stars players who are trying to be in a small market though Like you know as much as people say it's not small market It's as much as much as small market is more Equal now, right like you could be a Yannes and still get endorsement deals that you couldn't get in the past because of social media Social media is the equalizer, but a small market is a little small market and at the end of the day your ratings are going to represent that It's a billion dollar organization We can spend money on marketing to make you familiar with these people in this more market and it's my market I think they they because I've already got my money from Amazon I've already got my money from NBC.

I've already got my money from these places I don't care about marketing these players anymore speaking the cues going off the lack of the traditional final stuff that we usually see They aren't paying attention to those things when they paying attention to international and all-star game when your best product the finals The best two teams in your league You're not taking time to market that is spending the money or marketing to inform people who maybe made whether fans Maybe really basketball fans on who's playing these games sexy enough we came up This is who this is they did but the NBA can still do something about that Now they just accepted that if Oklahoma City is gonna be here in Indiana is gonna be here Then nobody's gonna watch it cool We'll take this and we'll build on it for next season when they could build a story around like this interesting stuff going on With both of these teams This very interesting stories they could be told but the NBA just act like they're not interested in telling those stories We're back in the day even if it was a small marketing like the Sun's they were interested in telling us about damn Are you about Kevin Johnson about bargaining? Are we gonna? Like most things happen they don't do it now Well, all that shit you said was a bunch of hogwash because small market teams don't Historically draw ratings for the NBA I'm looking at the ratings on Wikipedia right now and all the At the time when the NBA was what people say as popular the ratings are how you great interests like yeah In 2003 in 2003 you first and the Mets drawing six doing six six five seven six six That's what part with what's going on right now But when the Lakers played it was ten when the Lakers played the year before that twelve Lakers played root eleven It went down half when the Lakers dropped out Half Can I Know but is there also data to show like and this part was horrible But is it a show like when those small market teams make the finals like how much is put into the marketing how much what's the what's the budget Because because we because we because we talk about marketing you all know this there's there's something within marketing called habit for me They care about habit for me where hey, we're gonna work. We're gonna put a third three hundred million dollars over the next five years into this Campaign because we're trying to get our consumers to do this one thing.

I'm just saying bro I haven't even seen a commercial for the finals. That's like cut really nice. They all remember the two thousand I think it's 2008 playoffs. I think Kanye just dropped it away some heartbreak.

It's on amazing with GZ dog They had Kobe they had LeBron. It was just like the fucking drums were going. It's like okay shit They played that commercial every two minutes That's a different era bro. That's a different era bro.

That's a different era bro. Wait, what the hell are you getting in the world? I'm just saying we don't know what we had it to we had it, bro. That was a different area.

It's the NBA is doing it's not we can't say it's all markets is these players are not entertaining It's the NBA they have the marketing dollars to make you interested in these players They just not spend a new year Was in the e-commerce finals and you would have thought that it was fucking Utah. It was just like it was like we're talking about New York City Where's the so much surrounding the finals? All the stories in that in a moment. I was telling you the same thing is okay So when San Antonio Detroit played it in way back in the day, what was the story in what was the story?

When when was the story when when was the story when New Jersey played San Antonio back in the day? Nothing They could have made that interesting you talk about Jason Kia Pazza the best world guys ever They could have made that interesting but what they do is fall back on all his just small marketing No, it's just historically Oh my god, oh three was Jordan's last year or two also came so we got to do a count of time about when when the next played first in the finals nobody told them to watch that shit Was that 2004 you're talking about that was way back in the day? I'm saying that was Jordan's song they were still trying to find the who the next guy was they tried I was saying they tried Kobe you saw having Denver and then LeBron would coming in that very year So I'm saying that while your data is correct. I think the macro picture Let's the NBA off the hook because clearly somebody's getting paid enough money to where they don't give a fuck about the marketing And they don't care about this in that we we got Amazon.

We got switch. We got but League is not even what it should be I don't think there's I don't know how much marketing would generate the interest you guys talk about the thing I used to hear Shelton you can you can you can confirm this when the Spurs played nobody like watching them because they were born Yeah, and they were winning and they were winning the same people didn't give a damn about the New Jersey Nets You know and I actually did they have did they have his car then I can't remember but nobody ever damn about about it doesn't even matter Okay, they didn't like watching them there has to be interest so they can market the shit out of all of that shit But if nobody like watching them this shit, you just not gonna happen. You just waste the money It was over reliance on stars And I don't want to drag it too much But I just want to say the over reliance on singular figures and the over reliance on big threes have given people fatigued with basketball A lot of people didn't respect Kevin Durant's move a lot of people didn't respect LeBron James move to go to Miami people Grew up on the prime of the NBA being my good Stateable one team blah blah blah and that's the you know It's gotta be the shoes spike Lee commercials one guy dominated all of the marketing down there and when he left in O3 The League was in not shambles, but the league was in a scramble to find okay Who's the guy they find LeBron and then by his third fourth year? They are he's the face of the lead and then he's gone off to Miami by 2010 So it's only a really a six year difference and then the big three era stars player empowerment starts And now we have the after the last 15 years.

We are here now since 2010. There's been fatigue with okay, man I don't want to say a little to certain teams But I think that that fatigue is indicative of what we're seeing now where okay market the actual teams that are staying together Market the players that are staying low people don't give a fuck that Yannes is still saying and walking most people want him to go to New York because oh big market big market But it's just wrong to me because the big market that was just in the East Agamas finals like I said You think that it was Utah so even even when you're there with the big markets They're not even marketing to me the Lakers like they should they have to change the product They have to figure out a way to tell stories that that's your best point You made about storytelling they have to figure out a way to tell stories They have to change the product to increase the sense of urgency the in the major league baseball They may change us to their product to make more interesting ratings are up people don't want to watch all the threes But the product has to be interesting when you don't have a superstar to carry I think I think something that you said that I'm gonna use against them now is you said that marketing is all about habit forming The best thing for the NBA is dynasties The reason why people hated the KD move and thought it was soft or even the LeBron move to Miami But at the end of the day what what we thought it could be is the reason why we tuned in because that was a pseudo-diagnosed The most of those situations obviously didn't last as long as some other dynasties that we've seen right But at the end of the day, that's what people want they want to know who the champion is They want to know going into the season. It's gonna be them versus everybody You know people I think that you're not wrong and I think that that also goes into storytelling though because like the reason I'm not saying that marketing is all I have a phone saying there's a key component within marketing agencies and PR companies that care about that and the NBA to me has neglected that completely Because what you're pointing out to me is storytelling with the fact that the Go say warriors and the heat become villains. So now you have half of NBA fan base What's what's just a half half of viewership hates it because man or 70% right because most of the people are not gonna be heat and warriors fans They all fuck the Warriors fuck 80 that she was weak fuck LeBron that she was weak I'll never be Jordan for people want to watch and see a train wreck Yeah, I hope you lose to the Mavericks Yeah, I hope you lose to the Cavaliers first year and when they keep winning it Ingraciates morph people into wanting to see this loose and then the people that are gonna be bandwagon and love because of the marketing and all these Superstars on one team.

They're gonna be wagging onto the heat in the Warriors But I think people are tired of just that narrative of all right villain and who's the heroes? I think we're in the era where people want storytelling But I really do believe that and I think the NBA just doesn't want to spend the money on it because it's easy to fall back on Let's find the face of Lee less less less fine superstars And the reason why I hate that even even more is because even if that is your model It doesn't reflect in your all-star game. You're not even telling the stories of your all stars in all Star games and that's why so bad because we don't care about the all-star Don't care about your all-star games are trash but they're trash but it's like they're gonna love the story behind it That's why they used to be story behind it. It's more the product that's trash because it is the part of it I'll start That's different because they can't play for real People are hard not exactly the all-star game with so much storytelling around the game around leading up to the week around the dunk That's that's what people cared about people care about watching people care about watching the best players go at it Oh, and here's the thing like all star games Wait, real quick because you just cut me all before I finish So I just want to tell you the reason that people cared about the best players going at it because they had the story of the best players They don't have that anymore.

Yes, it was what it was was is all right Look players today are friendly friendly buddy buddy. Why because they've played with each other from hey, you on up You know what I'm saying? Oh, I saw this kid on YouTube. Oh, where's he at?

I bet we're gonna go join the tournament. You know what I'm saying? You become friends your social media you're connected back Then there was no connection to the players to themselves now There may have been connections that us the public were not privy to but the story that you're talking about is well I know he don't really know him so they're gonna go at it when they're on the court And I want to see what happens and even though it wasn't like a hundred you can go back and watch They didn't take it like it was a regular season game or a playoff game But they were points in time when it got close especially in that fourth quarter that they took it up a level You know what I'm saying? We've seen that with the early LeBron generation, but LeBron with a player empowerment movement Now they take it like it's just like it's nothing and that's the issue the main issue with the all-star game The other issue with the all-star game is that we haven't gotten super stars to participate in the though contest Three more contests has been fun because that's where the NBA is now and the best three-point shooters have competed multiple times in the three-point contest The dunk contest we need the delabrods.

We need the and we need the Zion's we need the job of ranch We need those guys to go participate in that and then we need the all-star game for people to play like the okay I'm not saying again It doesn't have to be playoff intensity, but it has to be like a half a step or a step away from a regular season game And we're not getting that well We got two more but heroes and villains always work as well you got down the devil and The thing about what people were saying what you were saying about those teams is they have superstars on them They're gonna watch kd and LeBron and curry and dreamers and villain. They're gonna watch those because they're superstars But if you if you have the team if you if you take the rosters from okay see right now Indiana and put those in those matchups, I don't know if it'll hit the same because those guys are superstars Can the NBA doesn't even promote like their point guard series They don't even promote their their their Netflix series where the people are talking about the olympics Like the NFL they tell you at every game hard knocks hard knocks hard knocks They tell you all the mid-season hard knocks now because you know why the chicago bears hard Knocks, I just looked at other growth records for an average of 4.4 million viewers We're talking about half of the NBA finals was for game two so half of that And I'm just saying that they invest in storytelling for teams. Yo, let's let's put the cameras in the front office Let's see the GM of the Giants fuck up and do some crazy shit and ask jane dane was to read a different or Mike He don't know what the fuck that is. Let's see the blunders of the cleveland browns Let's see joe burrow and let's see of my time with all these people that they're encompassing as a team product The NBA is just it's like a fucking ghost town where it's like hey, we got ant and we got sga We got some aura from the Celtics and that's it Hey, labrana still playing and coming watch us on a random Wednesday night You know when the game is coming on leak leak pass is horrible as a user experience Just like the layout is terrible everything that the NBA needs for them to grow Where the era of kids putting posters on their wall to come back It's like they're just averse to doing it and until they change the game it's over Nobody want to put hella burn on their wall and nobody want to put it Nobody nobody people fucking got this on the wall bro Can I don't think you're wrong the data's there and it backs up what you're saying I'm just saying the macro picture It lets the NBA off the hook because I'm sorry I just refuse to give the corporation that much leeway that hey, you know It's like telling me that this artist can't pop off And you haven't even put a Budget into the videos and the Spotify into all these things and saying well, he just can't make it happen We all know that hit records are given the artist hit records are like everyone eats off a hit record Everyone should eat off of the fact that I don't I don't say this can't know you gotta move on.

Um, we know this going in they knew this going in I think they know how to market what they know how to market You tell me how to french fry, uh, Oklahoma City and Andy show I think they got too many I think they have too many sports people in the sports thing If that makes sense like there's there's the podcast where guys were talking about how the reason why a lot of things in music and In media just aren't moving the way that they should and we feel like there's not this cultural revolution that should be happening because when 25 And all this technology is available the reason why a lot of people feel like it's not happening Is because people stay so insulated within their industry where if you're a sports guy You're gonna market like a sports guy whereas they don't let guys from the tech industry come in and say Hey, here's how we blew apple up and here's how we made Samsung's user how to work out for the government I'm seeing the thing you're talking about you're talking about saying planning you're talking about saying companies. I'm talking about corporations now You know me that's a plan. They got him. But uh, you know said Nick is right, man.

I don't think there's there's there's no amount of marketing they can do it. It's right. It's a It's a challenge point to like to show point peer respect in the 90s was right here and the money was right here You know I'm saying now the the desire for your respect from your peers I feel like it's down here and the money is up here You know I'm saying and it's like the player don't really give a fuck I'm not gonna be doing the dunk contest because I'm getting paid $40 million a year like when you're in the 90s You're getting like a at 18 million dollar contract for eight years and shit Adam civil was he was he was had too early too. He was He was out there doing those interviews early and what'd you say about Kansas City's bike?

Kansas City ain't a large market. What do they have on their team? Who's who's in the who's in the skybox? By talking to me really thank you What do they have on their team Starting again So Spike Gave me an example of Patrick Mahomes the biggest star the go in the league and on Kansas City And the superstar draws the interest on the team in the very same way that LeBron did for fucking Cleveland And the same way that I'm saying he could have a all do the cracks just like SGA is doing without the story telling other NFL versus the NBA All the NBA got to do is get behind SGA and tell the story To the brontist of superstar But my homes was not the guy coming in he wasn't the chosen one day And the homes became a star only because of the things he was doing and because he elevated people started to watch Can I would argue that Patrick Mahomes rise at the very beginning you could also say that Tyree He'll ever be the greatest to ever play the game A better example would actually and I know you take the player but just all your jersey sales and off cloud in the league Gentle herds like he's always in the top five people know his name He's getting all this press from essence getting press from good morning America people know his fucking name and it filled up He's a big market So he don't got to be my homes But hurts came to the league going to fuck like all right We drive them no one cared and then he had to prove his way into it and now people are like okay You want to sue Bo he's validated his start on this thing and I think that people look at my hurts like that But they do know Where's it a week and say we can't have a buzzer beater yep Yeah USA versus the world is official for next year all-stars.

I know y'all don't like it, but I'm intrigued You say whatever y'all will do The first second year players When they were doing a rookie software and they a couple of years they did it where was the USA versus the world So we've kind of seen this in the past I don't like it because I don't I don't know how sustainable it is You know what I'm saying and if one if it gets lopsided one way or the other you're gonna have to change it again All right, well he trying But it's just he needs some some better people on this thing or maybe to put a lot of marketing mind I don't know that seems to be the fix for everything, but we're gonna leave it there man We'll catch you guys this week. I'm out. We out peace
