NCHC Icecast: What We Learned From The First Weekend Of NCHC Games

There were three NCHC series on the first weekend of conference games and two of them ended up being sweeps. St. Cloud State swept Miami (3-2, 6-0) and Denver swept Colorado College (6-1, 5-1). In the other NCHC series, Western Michigan picked up a win (5-2) and then Nebraska Omaha picked up an overtime win (3-2) in a series at Baxter Arena. In two nonconference series involving NCHC teams, North Dakota split a top 10 battle at Boston University (3-2 loss, 5-4 overtime win) and Minnesota picked up a home win (5-1) and a tie (3-3) at Minnesota Duluth.
