Walter Bond’s story begins on the basketball court, where he achieved his dream of playing in the NBA. But when his career was cut short, Walter faced a crossroads that would define the rest of his life. Instead of giving up, he chose to reinvent himself, using what he learned on the court to build a new path as a speaker, author, and accountability expert. This Thursday, Walter’s story of resilience and reinvention will inspire you. His message: “Your past doesn’t define you—your actions do.” Beyond the stage and boardroom, Walter most important roles are those of a family man and community leader. Walter’s commitment to building a legacy begins with his family and extends to his community. It is his passion for strengthening communities drives him to give back. Through his vocation, he drives individuals and teams to think beyond the immediate – to build something bigger, stronger, and eternal. As an author, Walter published three books, most recently Swim!. Walter travels the country speaking, coaching, teaching, and inspiring companies across a wide range of industries. Walter graduated from the University of Minnesota and has been married to his wife and business partner Antoinette for 30 years. They have three adult children.
