Nebraska vs Maryland Reaction + Analysis | College Football 2023

The Maryland Terrapins earned a hard-fought 13-10 win over Nebraska Football on Saturday, a win that claimed Marland bowl eligibility and highlighted quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. Make no mistake, Mike Locksley won this road game over Matt Rhule because he had the superior quarterback room. Nebraska quarterbacks Heinrich Haarberg, Jeff Sims, and Chubba Purdy combined for less than 100 passing yards and a total of 5 turnovers. The Huskers had success on the ground, rushing for 183 yards and 1 touchdown, but the passing offense was nonexistent and the defense cannot be expected to hold the fort down for all four quarters. My reaction to this game is one of disgust. Maryland gifted Nebraska nearly 100 yards in penalties and 3 total turnovers and Nebraska Football still took a loss on their home field. Matt Rhule can still find his way to a bowl game if Nebraska Football beats Wisconsin Football or Iowa Football to close out the season, but none of those wins are guaranteed. Tony White has to be paid immediately following the conclusion of the season and Nebraska might have to find a new offensive coordinator.
