Nebraska Football earned their 5th win of the season in a suffocating 31-14 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers. Heinrich Haarberg went 6-11 for 122 yards and 2 touchdowns in a game that was dominated by defense, running the ball, chewing the clock, and special teams play. Nebraska won in all aspects of the sport, minus the turnover battle. The Blackshirts held Purdue quarterback Hudson Card to THREE yards per pass attempt, and Purdue Football failed to rush or pass for over 100 yards in Lincoln. My reaction to this game is one of excitement for Nebraska Football. The Cornhuskers are 5-3, and 3-2 in Big Ten Conference play, and with Michigan State, Maryland, Wisconsin, and Iowa remaining on their schedule, Matt Rhule and Nebraska have a fair chance of winning out. If they win all of their remaining four games, Nebraska Football will capture their first divisional title since 2012 and capture the Big Ten West Division Title for the first time ever.
