Nebraska’s defensive line is quite possibly the most important group to ‘overachieve’ in 2026…can they do so?
from Early Break – 93.7 The Ticket KNTK · host BDP Communications
-The World-Herald’s Sam McKewon wrote about the line yesterday after a discussion with Matt Rhule, and it’s clear that Rhule wants guys like Riley Van Poppel to finally have that breakout year like we saw in Ty Robinson’s last season-McKewon mentions that in the B1G era, Nebraska’s best d-linemen have been the Davis Twins, Ty Robinson, Randy Gregory, Ben Stille, and Maliek Collins. He also mentions that if the current linemen reach their ceilings….Van Poppel could be as good as Robinson; Kade Pietrzak as good as Ben Stille; Williams Nwaneri as good as Randy Gregory; and Jasear Whittington similar to Maliek Collins. Not saying he’s expecting it, but that’s their ceiling comparisons….are these feasible to reach and are the comparisons OK?Show sponsored by PINNACLE BANKAdvertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brandsPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
