It's our space car. No space cars It's really close to bars and you might be throwing out a few of those too So they just weakened at Bernie's death boy is that what they can do over there on the other patreon game kind of yeah It's kind of more like they force him to be all of their dad At the same time that's a good thing because they need guidance they're just kids That's true. That's true. I do like the dad presence, especially in s s house Am I the only dad that's house?

I think so. Yeah, I think I mean you're the de facto leader. That's scary. Yeah It works Well, you just call me space daddy This world is a study you can call me the sd for this for this I guess But first and foremost guys I would I think we need to get some characters unlock Yeah, we do might help a little so Mike I believe that you were probably the first and the most fleshed out character unless you were planning on not bringing in your Spary space man or choice Merck is definitely getting imported.

I mean I spent good money for someone to make art of him for this So yeah, we're just coming in all right. All right. I'll definitely grab that picture and probably throw it up on the stream next to your picture next time It's pretty a nice little it is. It was a really good picture is pretty amazing.

We'll just continue on Eli you had in our little pre stages of this whole patron game You had a character, but you think you're thinking about bringing someone new I think so yeah I have a few ideas for things that'll be fun to play I'm just not sure what I want to play yet. I've been it's not that I've not thought about it I've been thinking about it since I like said I would pay fit I would pay to be on the patron game. I just can't decide I'm very indecisive Well, I mean we can talk about that together. Of course we have our other people person from the other game Query We you also had a character in the last one too, but we kind of left that open-ended Did you want to probably make a different character a new character for this?

Well portion of it What I was thinking was I didn't want to step on anybody's toes So I actually made a couple of different character ideas and I wanted to hear what all the all my partners wanted to do To make sure I wasn't you know doing the same thing. You don't need three batmans. Oh But three batmans Gruff and growling at each other you're probably right. Yeah, I would watch a movie called three batmans.

Yeah And baby Oh, baby just wants to be a dentist though Alright, well we can we can definitely kind of talk that through and I think One of the things that maybe before we go a little bit more into this is sort of about like our little world that we made in the beforehand So we kind of use this great game called microscope to kind of build out and flesh out the backstory of the world And we've got you know a few of the species kind of made and a lot of it kind of just You know major portions of the history of the sector as we're going to call it And one of the major things is that this is a very corporate base or corporate run area Many of the large corporate like the large government body has been kind of taken out and it's called was called the coronal council But it was kind of taken out along the way and people kind of decided that They were they preferred kind of being more left to their own devices, especially corporations So this is very capitalistic for you to it However, you'll have like different factions that maybe try to rise out of the old government Different factions like the Jenkins corporation for one that is probably one of the more Diabolical corporations in the area or maybe not We'll kind of discover that along the way But one of the kind of new things in the area is something called the nebulinites which the three of you will be a part of They're sort of the I wouldn't say de facto police state because there's no real government anymore They're more of a mercenary band but they kind of are left to their own devices so to speak They're in a specific area space called the united colony states or I believe it's just the united colonies The united states based maricots, sorry, I mean Yeah, no, there's no references in here at all But uh, there's also the confederate uh, there's also the confederate colonies which are kind of at war currently with War quote-unquote with the united colonies and our good old nebulinites have their hq kind of set up within the united colonies The nebulinites are Fairly new to the area they're new to the area not only to that but also to like the mercenary and company itself So there's a lot of uh, green recruits especially in this and you probably be within like one of the first Maybe the first like three or four people coming in not three or four people but three or four groups of people coming into the nebulinites They've set up a sort of Kind of almost like a samurai state where you have these warriors kind of patrolling around helping people out where they can and uh, they seem to be backed Pretty heavily by some unknown groups in the area Uh, that you don't know because well Sometimes you guys don't get paid like straight up. Uh, the nebulinites aren't known for just taking in or more known for taking in donations and actually getting paid from people So they are kind of like this uh freelance uh, police state Uh, is there any questions so far? Makes sense to me. Yeah, it's all good.

Yeah, I can tell you all right for you. Um, there's no government There's only black water and you're a member of black water incident. You're okay I would say black water Do we have to pay for our own repairs for our ship? No Then it's better than a colleague Oh goodness.

So uh with that jake, why don't you uh, you said you had a few character ideas? I do have a few character ideas. Um, so we did a test game sort of where I played a Bit of a like a dumb bounty hunter for lack of a better way to put it kind of Put their puts their feet in front of the brain a lot. Uh, he was a tiny miniature son that was being orbited by a skeleton Um, but he was kind of like a big loud boisterous character So, you know, if if y'all want to play characters that are gonna go out there and fight and get their hands dirty and get to go kick Ass, I might play someone that can sit in the background and do something different.

Um, I had a another idea for a character that is sort of um half, uh, nebulin night half journalist So they're going out in weird places and collecting photographs and samples and stuff in order to publish their work and try to make sense of this weird cluster We live in and then I also had the idea for sort of an older father figure that drives around in uh, hot rotted spaceship So I had a couple of different options there depending on where we might want to go. I mean, um You like when we played with you, I was definitely playing a character that was more in the background, but uh, it sounds like you're producing something different I'd like to hear what you're thinking about it Okay. Yeah, so I was uh, so my original idea which which may not work now since I know that we are kind of like a police force sort of Um was a character who had telepathic abilities Who fronted as the lead enforcer from mob boss, but was actually the mob boss and she projected Uh, this like big and this imposing figure whenever people came to meet with the mob boss Um, so I'm not sure how that would fit in with being space cops though. Um Um That being said my original character was someone who Who like jake said said was in the background, um and did a lot of stuff Did a lot of computer stuff was kind of the brains of that operation which was not how I originally planned for that character to be but just kind of defaulted that way.

Um I am open to other ideas Uh, I had a poll on twitter a while ago of four character ideas. I'm gonna pull that up because I don't remember what they are Well, I guess that mob boss idea you could definitely play a good cop bad cop real easy Oh, yeah, and plus there is precedent for it if you look a lot of uh, bigger US military bases have smaller gains of organized crime that exists for them and and that's kind of yeah That's true As sort of kind of a by-product of having so many people in the place Yeah, it's definitely able to get away with not all samurai were uh, it's like an honorable Yeah, that's true. I so I really like that idea. Um, I think I could have A lot of fun with it.

Um, especially as things go, um, as things continue to progress Um, I can kind of see that character being both a support character and a if something happens and they have to jump into kick-ass They can so I may just stick with that one. I like that I can work with that Uh, we're kind of waiting for like to come back But I think if if you want to do the mob boss character, I'll probably play the dip ship I don't eat hundred because that to be honest, he's a lot of fun. Okay, cool So does that change a lot of what you had in mind Cody or do we need to maybe reorient some things around the the mob concept? No, that's that's That's fine.

I think as long as you have, um, a sort of at least a reason to be coming into like the nebulinites as an organization You could even try to maybe take it down from the inside if you wanted to I'm kind of open to a lot of ideas. I'm just kind of setting up the uh initial, uh, the initial thing for you guys Sure thing. Right. Right.

So I guess in that case Eli, um, we can wait for Mike to get back here But um, do we want to go through the relationship part of the character building process or is that a little too early? Uh, I think maybe a bit too early. Well, so I think the first thing is to kind of make down take down uh your guys's high concepts and whatnot I think you guys kind of had it, uh, bounty hunter mob boss and stuff like that Uh, just kind of elaborate out for me just a little bit sure and uh Also, one of the major things is uh, we need you guys to have uh species because looking in a good space game or space themed Situation, there's going to be a bunch of species a bunch of different types of people I have uh kind of a quite a list of them so far, but feel free to make up anything you want because We've got everything from four armed humanoids to a flock of bees to mouse people To sons that have things float around them Well, that one i'm telling them's on that one. Uh, yeah, yeah, my character is a 14-in so a miniature son I also love that name.

Thank you for jean Um I was thinking about making a species that was kind of cat-like But like not like like earth cats and like space cats and I don't know what they would look like but Is that basically like like technicolor cats with antennas? Um Sort of like a cross between that and the thundercats. I guess kind of so you're like really small and half new. Yeah.

Oh, yeah, pretty much So I had uh, you can reject this or air continuing with this One of these species that I had was called the veers which was actually in the opposite game that you and jake played And on our little sheet here on the microscope game we had it whenever the contact with the with the veers were established Was a bad thing. Um, so they were sort of like this, uh Kind of dreadlocks cat-like people that didn't really speak the the native tongue and whenever they did they had like this weird Contact like context references that apparently they got that they couldn't really directly communicate with somebody even if they shared the same language I'm not sure if that's something that you would want to play maybe Or could something completely different? No, I'm just I'm trying to think of how I can make the contextless talking work Um What you need is one of those uh Sets of headphones that have the cat ears that drew up and down because There's verbal communication and then body communication like angry. Happy Um, I would be willing to try playing that species Um, and if I completely fuck it up and fuck up how you envision them.

I apologize in advance kody It's don't I wouldn't worry about it that much If you want to make your home go right ahead if you want if you want to try and play a veers I really at this point you guys are creating a universe from here on out I that was just a thing that I wrote a piece of paper that says veers a line that can speak quote-unquote english with a different context That's all I have. Yeah, I will play that. How do you spell it? Is it ve?

RZ uh ve ir es I probably I'm not very good at spelling things, especially from pronunciation. That's okay different space. Yeah, it's yeah It's guys. It's accentated space.

You have to get that space accent on it. It's a little curve to it So it's beers and put it on my space pad Space action space action grab Oh, man. Sorry. I feel you lie.

Oh, man All right Even if I don't know a lot of French I still know so Now we need French like just French people. You know what? No, I never mind. I already have a French people French species here I'll I'll ask you for some context clues for that one.

Let's read French Twitter The French twitch community is there a big group of French streamers we can pick up? French Quebecois with their uh space routine Space booting you just put up a thing that says like eating maple candy on stream and then just a thousand quid This is one of the times when you guys are like ref it jokes jokes jokes. Just like I am all American What is this poo twall? I'm sorry?

I'm from Michigan. We're honorable Canadian or like honorary Canadians or at least that's what um all of the Canadians I've never talked to it. Oh, yeah Michigan is close enough to Canada. It's it from what I've heard it's actually close to Nova Scotia Canadian, which is best Canadian All I know is that I once bought a prime sale of a Canadian mini That's my life.

Yes, you're super Canadian now Oh, man, I'm glad I got one thing. I don't mind brightness Okay, I'm good. I mean I got this yes, haha I don't think they're even Canadian Canadians are like we enjoy sailing on the seas of cheese So space Canada got to space Canada So with that um so we have a sort of uh for ji- When you were saying bounty hunter where you're actually going to play the bounty hunter from the previous game or sure But you know, maybe he's working with the cops because it's a good money or he owes Eli is character a favor Or you know, there's plenty of reasons why someone like that would have motivation to kind of get their game in order. I think Um, so maybe it's just that you know, you realize about powerful mob boss and I don't want That sounds alright.

I think that will kind of help us as we go forward. Uh, so Mike Uh, we have a bounty hunter and then we also have a sort of a mob boss Are you still you know, I have a question for you? Are you still do you think she's still working the scene so to speak or do you think she's so trying to give it up or? I think she's on the run right now.

I think someone Who wanted her dead figured out that the facade she hides behind is not the real deal and figured out that it's her and so she Ran to the last place. Is she anyone would expect to find her which is the cops? Okay, that's kind of what I'm thinking that sounds like prime trouble material out there Who you so who who found out is it is a single person is organization is it a group? Um I think I think one of my Associates figured out the truth and sold me out to one of the corporations.

Oh, okay because I was I mean, I don't want to say I was stealing business from them. I was just seeking opera I was providing opportunities for people in fields that the corporations weren't um weren't actively needing Okay. All right, it's disruption, baby so There's so many things we can attach that to that's actually really fun because we also do have the uh black market food in this universe There's also a new thing that came with the game that you guys played which was um There seems to be a new sector of not sector, but a new sort of uh tournament called the mattes or the mecca assault tussle tournaments Which are huge fighting robots. Oh, yeah.

Yeah. Yeah, so uh I don't like I had I had to name something after Matthew But it wasn't going to be a religion dammit I would be honored to have robot wrestling named after me So, uh, man that can come from a lot of things so what so What is the name of the corporation that you were sold out to I think that would be that would be your main trouble chaste by Yeah, um, ex over Um, so my previous character was chased by the jinkett score and I feel like I'm really hammering into a thing with my characters chased by some corporation Um, well, there's also the person that sold you out too. So you gotta imagine they're back there as well. Yeah, so let's see um What corporation Is does not have a big presence in the sector where we are stationed but would be a Somewhat large presence on the opposite side of the galaxy Now listen listen, baby.

It's a fresh and clean universe. We got some little tidbits everywhere, but you can make it up Yeah, I'm just trying to think of it as as Um The giant company Yes chased by the giant company I like it I spent all right So we gotta go right past this black market food thing and go straight to the mecca because you know Yeah company is all the time all the time all the day and and I would like to imagine that the reason they're called the giant companies because they are actually giants Um, like it's it's it's run by a race of people that are just huge This is the the best thing possible, which is just a space wrestling. I'm sorry. It's everything I ever wanted Space mech wrestling as you know, I was even going the wrestling room.

Look, okay. I I'm just saying this uh the parent company of the world wrestling federation is titan sports. So fucking This is kiznet The first mission becomes space luchadors Jake, I'm gonna have to rely on you for your wrestling information because we have to make this an analog So with that I think one of the things that you mentioned earlier was that uh, maybe the bounty hunter had uh, oh, it's something to elize character Some some sort of some sort of mission. I think that might be a crossing path thing to uh to have that in there Well, one of the kinds of think of God One of my characters is that my character is fiercely loyal So it could just be hey on around this guy and they give me stuff It's he's not he's not probably going to um be too tied to any specific idea because you know, he doesn't he can't focus on anything for that Long he can just look at elion go.

Yeah, so good guy. That's enough for him Okay, okay, which I think to me is is good because if you're a mob boss and you're constantly pulling people's strings We can kind of maybe slow roll if whether or not we actually get along or whether or not my character is just kind of along for right Yeah Okay I think that'll be that'll be at least good for a connection. We went during the crossing pass actually explore that like what why exactly is the loyalty there? Um Using that sheet So you just want to keep your trouble in with that?

Yeah, I think that works. I mean, um, you know, the I'm gonna double check the trouble I had on the sheet exactly here, but um Yeah, his his trouble is that he's basically in debt to every link that he's really irresponsible and bad with money and uh, It's sort of you know, he's as long as people tolerate He says long around people as long as they tolerate me a lot Because he's kind of destructive loud So kind of owes those people a lot of things whether it's for blowing something up when he should have blown something up or Fucking a mission up because he's too reckless. That's everything. I think that can definitely work Especially with maybe with what the nebulinites are kind of supposed to be about maybe a few two screw-ups and Maybe I was gonna say there's that thing to where I imagine if you're part of this like organized pseudo military system Like there's gonna be a code of what you're supposed to be doing rules and laws and Right, right Um, I think for the most part though.

I think Mike has his character kind of straighten away a little bit at least a little bit So why don't we I think that now might be a good time for at least some crossing paths I don't want you guys to Kind of be making a team directly from this because I think most of what as we're going going on is probably directly at the nebula Night's HQ so I think what we might first do is the crossing pass between Eli's character and James's character and Maybe get some names in the mix so that way we don't have to refer two characters Okay, um So I think the name my character goes by is mirage Okay And uh Jacob run be what your character name is? Is bone star bone star all right bone star bone star Oh So we have uh, we have mirage a bone star and really there is a space jam reference in there somewhere Going to make it just gonna tell you it's there Let me try to get a glitter Yeah, Mike maybe uh You can give us a little bit more description about your character. Uh now that you're back sure Look at some of the aspects that I had from the old sheet Uh, I'm playing more of the hacker gorgon or I guess gorgon is probably easier to say for uh all intents and purposes Just adjusting the candidate there we go uh they're basically a group of There are a race of people that have been forged by struggle They everything that they've had to do and their life they've had to fight for because their whole world is a desolate rock So if you want food you have to fight for it if you want to They have to fight for it that kind of stuff but rich large onto a black and purple So Organs on a whole tend to be regarded as just a sugs in the galaxy they uh They don't really they're not usually right But my character morgue is one of the ones that actually helped them get off that like Generations kind of thing helped them get off of that rock. So he's one of the rare actually smart Organs So he he looks like a thug he acts like a thug a lot of the time But he's actually really good with technology Like he can he can fix stuff.

He hacks people constantly because that's a good way to get money and uh And yeah, he uh he tends to be the guy that acts like a big scary bruiser To distract you from the fact that he's hacking your space gmallow counter to find out that oh Oh, you've got a lot of money and s-ro over here. Oh, you have less It's like well At least he's not like you know sending fishing emails talking about being a Parisian prince Legery prince that's where it is Guys, I'm starting to think uh this this title for this this thing is a little bit better than I thought it would be We've got a mob boss a bounty hunter and a guy that plays a thug but isn't really a thug with his kind of a thug This is nebula like nights like like a baywatch nights where like there's I'm gonna throw some of these plans out the window and keeps the rest All right, I definitely like this jazz microphone though. Yeah, baby. Uh microphone this jazz I mean, I have been playing more than the past as a complete asshole with a article but But I could change Well, why don't we get onto uh the first kind of like mixing of the story is um Is there I think first off when you do establish the basically relationship between Eli's character uh bone star and mirage right now Sure kind of like Get that going over like why does bone star think that mirage is a good person did mirages, you know facade of the big buff guy actually impressed bone star in a situation and it's not mirage that he actually likes but The the big facade Um, you can go a lot of places with that.

Yeah, well, I guess the question is Eli is like before it starts What would mirage be doing with their time? so um So the way mirage ran her operation is that she acted as the number two to the quote-unquote head guy whose name was the minotaur oh, yeah, um, and so And and so it was it was one of those things that because mirage had telepathic powers Um, she convinced everyone who came to see the minotaur that the minotaur, um, didn't speak Galactic kilometer didn't have a translator so she communicated telepathically and then and then spoke for him um, and uh So that situation worked for a long time until she hit the fan, um, and They so she she operated from a ship because, um, staying in one place for too long was was just a really dumb idea Um, and that's kind of how the operation functioned for a long time So that makes sense, um in terms of my character my character is a sentient sun Which means that they don't really have like a corporeal form or a brain or anything and in my mind That makes them kind of unkillable by weapons, but super vulnerable to to psychic abilities to magic abilities to cosmic abilities So like it really makes sense to me that if we had ever crossed path You'd be very easy to just nudge me from not hurting her by just going to poke me in the brain a little bit Yeah, um, yeah And since my character doesn't like one thing about bone star is that he's well known as being irresponsible You know, he's kind of he's so many higher to fuck something up not to to go do a high level operation So I can see being caught up, you know accidentally crossing paths because somebody hires bone star to get something from your organization And he meets you and you say three things to me like, oh, yeah, yeah, you're pretty good. I should fuck that other guy Yeah You're way better It wouldn't take much. I don't think um and the other part of it could be you know a small amount of that sort of um, you know Hey, if you stick with me, I'll give you this much money and a gun Like bone star would see that as like a big like a very generous offer because most people don't think very high level Yeah So I think there could be the loyalty coming from a real place and then sort of the question of whether or not the loyalty is also coming from little brain Zaps, you know, yeah Yeah, yeah, I bring nudges So so I actually think I think the question of whether or not it's it's real loyalty or not is something that mirage kind of struggles with for everyone um because um So so because mirage has had these abilities her entire life.

Um, it's it's kind of it's sort of a second nature where she just pulls on people's strings Without really meaning to So that makes sense. I think this might this might be a really good beginning for story Especially since you have this kind of nebulous relationship with uh bone star there And you also were yeah, I know my Uh, there's also this relation that you were kind of given away by one of your you know One of your people like one of your people kind of gave you away to cooperation So now you're kind of questioning this uh, what is real loyalty in a way? I think that might be good for like maybe your first story is kind of talking about Uh a relationship with this person and then giving you away to corporation and then having to fully giving you maybe like an aspect of like um Question loyalty or questions family or Yeah, trust to be earned on yeah trust has to be earned always on edge There's a lot of things you can do that are really neat with that I think that would be I mean if that's your character, but I think there's a lot of I mean, I mean I really think that makes sense in the first story. Um, because that would really be I mean as aside from the rise of you know The minotaur has this mob boss.

That's really the I see that that would really be like the first Interesting thing that happens to mirage because everything that she's known and has come to rely upon gets completely thrown out of the window um, and I imagine it's someone who she was involved with Uh, and and so that really just uh, and so that really that really doesn't blow to her trust and her and her ability to depend on people Yeah, I think maybe push it. Yeah pushed a little bit too far especially all of the things that were going on Yeah, plus you could play. I like definitely a aspect where you know, they're they're surrounded by all these people that work in this organized crime But how many of them can you really trust when it comes down? You know, it's not it could be the people that are close to you, but also that you know everywhere you go.

You know that was do Mm-hmm. Yeah people that were that you've seen have literally sold out their mother for things before so How are they going to treat the people to work with? Yeah It makes it even more interesting especially since you're telepathic. Yeah, you still don't trust people even though you're able to poke their minds.

Yeah um, I think I kind of giving a little bit of more of an image of like who mirage is and I think bone start we might have to talk a little bit more about things what happened in that previous game with that But I would definitely like to go and see what's going on with mike and sorry, but what was his name again? more RG Yeah, I definitely like what's what's more is usually mo if he has if he doesn't have like If the like the last captain left him or like if something went wrong and maybe he tried to strike out on his own He didn't like what the previous people were doing. Uh, there's probably definitely definite signs that you'll probably be if you're a thug With a heart of gold then nebulin nights kind of seemed like a place where you to go eventually But what's other other than like that like what's your mo is it usually just like hacking jack jobs or oh? Shut up.

That's good. It was good. Oh, and that's why I'm laughing at this rock. I'm sorry I'll be hacking on that baby Yeah Uh in past jobs he he almost defaulted to a bunch of delivery jobs almost where it was Because he had access to a shuttle and a ship and a crew But we won't go into that stuff because this is either a different morgue or a morgue that retired from all that stuff He he was kind of a delivery guy that was told okay.

You need to get package a to point the Do it. We don't care how? So he he made default to odd jobs or just oh you need x thing done. I'll do that but He'll he'll try to champion things where if if there's a mega corp that is blatantly scoring people over And they're asking him to screw people over further Make the job initially and make it look like he's completed it to the mega corp So he gets a hey there but also make things much better for everyone else Like the people that are supposed to be screwed over and basically Fuck over the company to make sure that he gets his either way, but the little guy comes out on top If that makes sense.

No, that does make sense and when you were talking about shipping I think that might be if that's what he was doing before Maybe kind of getting packages from one location to another One of the things that I brought up earlier was the bootleg food market That might be a good thing for him to be kind of going around the sector kind of bringing these bootleg foods to different locations different locales um And there's got there's I don't I don't have a name for them, but there's got to be a corporation that very specifically because we don't this is like it This is a capitalistic sector like there's just corporations everywhere that'd be like nice to kind of the pseudo police But there's no really law against it. It's just the corporations deem it, you know unjust and worthy We're making the good food here. All right. It's very unfair that these people are making this bootleg food in these off-planets That's what that rear selling has been strangely checked on every level to make sure that it meets all the nutritional requirements for species x but these guys over here are doing that for much cheaper because they don't care and they know that the recipes work And we don't like that because we can't buy that recipe yet.

So screw those guys Is the way the court maybe yeah, I think um So what that's probably definitely a person is that sound like something more would do especially with uh what you described It sounds like the thing that more could do especially since he He doesn't like food So if he's delivering a lot of good black market food he can potentially skim a bit off the top or get good food and payment All right, I think maybe a really good way to start this office a first story is uh, maybe he was trying to get food from a location lookout to another and A corporation did find him and maybe put him on the shit list Like he's now on a kind of like down and out with one of the corporations Not because of anything in particular other than actually delivering the damn food Uh, that's he was supposed to um, maybe maybe not letting him into certain places or maybe in certain parts of the sector. Um That sounds like something that could happen. I think What would that corporation be? So The the trouble that he had started out with as back in the old game Which i'm kind of glad is coming background is nobody trusts us that trusts a smart gorgon So it could be that he got caught Doing the skimming where he got caught smuggling and now he's known as that one smart guy that fucked everything up for everyone else Okay I like that because you kind of mentioned that he he played an integral part and helping the gorgon get to other planets and advanced Society so having sort of Aristotle turned out to be a real jack-off is kind of Yeah So maybe we want maybe we want to flip it.

Maybe it's not a large corporation that maybe put up on the shit list Maybe it's the people who caught him skimming off the top Oh, yeah, okay This would not be the place to be kicked under society if all you could do is go to different corporations or join the pseudo military Yeah, right Do you think he was skimming off the top off of maybe the gorgons or maybe a different uh Oh work because he since he's He's not enough to be cocky, but still dumb enough to not realize some of the consequences of being too cocky so if if he was coming off the top of the gorgons and they caught him he would be completely blindsided by that because Nobody trusts the smart orchid, but he assumes that he's one of the few smart organs So like not I got to be caught you're too dumb for that Well, you also said that he's morgan's one of the ones who helped them kind of achieve like uh, maybe Like achieve spaceflight or achieve space travel or at least like he's Once that helped it were if he's made from the same old as those guys Because it's a kind of thing where by and large gorgons are dumb as a sack of hammers and it will hit you with them Okay, so probably one of the things is they've just recently reached space and they finally reached like the Basically communications with other species of like the galactic community at whole Maybe the bootleg or the the band was put in after or basically before that they were gone into like the galactic community So whatever nutrition that species actually needs isn't on the menu quote unquote of the corporations So you have to get these bootleg food like this is a necessary thing for the gorgons to survive And the only way to do it is through this means maybe that's like that's the reason why You'd be doing this and then maybe like you're saying you're cocky So it's getting off the top just a little bit since you are some of like the I gotta feed myself Right. Yeah, and who else is going to do this job if I don't So I think you being down and out with the gorgons. This sounds like pretty good I love that too because the gorgons could be like, you know, we didn't have this problem before we went down a space We didn't have this problem until you got a fancy shit until the smart guy. Yeah I mean, no one trusts a smart gorgon That sounds Space changed you bro Space changes all Good All right with that kind of like out of the way I really never know how to start these fake games properly because there's a lot of the crossing past stuff But I I feel like I wouldn't play a lot of those crossing past situations And uh, is there anything uh, maybe Jake you kind of want to fill out with a little bit with bone star Well, okay, so I had an idea for crossing over with more Um to do a really basic crossing path that we may not have to really act out Uh, would you just be that you know when he was doing his his uh, you know Bootleg food operations someone hired me to go stop him and kick my ass real bad like because Like bone stars bone stars just a skeleton.

It's not hard to blow up bones, you know, and that we even if I'm known as a tough guy I can have a sort of deal where I'm not the toughest guy You know, I can be humbled a little bit by the other person in group Um, I kind of like that idea too because it puts more over as a fighter. I'm not sure So how about all of you guys in the picture of Mord? Yes Yeah, uh one of the aspects because for the bulldog system weapons Can't have aspects added onto them for an extra cost also and the chain axis aspect is really damn scary So I'm okay with Mord to be happy being known as a bruiser kind of guy because It's a giant pack that's meant for reaching Like spaceship holes that he uses on people Yeah, that's my little talent I think it's totally I think it's totally great to have stories where you just raxed up and you're here to act That was one of the things when I was looking at the bulldog system was I really liked that actual items having separate aspects And I think we talked about it during the game with bone star bone stars actually supposed to have a gun in which could Like penetrate people who have those super abilities like invulnerability or something so that he can actually damage them Um, I think we talked about that a little bit with that I think that might be one of the things I want to do is basically having one of your stunts Or at least one of your refresh points being can be dedicated to creating an item But with that I would like to actually like maybe flush it out a little bit more like giving an aspect giving it a trouble And giving it maybe a small special ability right so that way like the aspect you can always use special ability maybe fate like a Fate point uh like cost use to it, but then also maybe a trouble like maybe just because it's a little scary It might kind of provoke me to put you in situations where you walk into a room that you're you know You're supposed to be fine in and some people look at you and deem you as a threat right away Or a situation where's supposedly diplomats here leave the axe behind Where that could be essentially an entire refresh point where left behind because the scenario doesn't fall for it That's so I do like that I'd like the crossing paths to of like bone star getting kind of just beaten the shadow by morgue And then proving that like he's not the toughest and maybe Giving a more kind of this new fresh into the community like a like not a higher status, but like a more I don't know broad status like more people start to like realize that he's that him and the gorkins are there Um, oh yeah, the thing I would ask though is who who hires bone star to stop him from doing this? Well, I think the food corporations might not be bad because even if he's not directly involved with them The bone star would be a guy that it would totally work for basically anybody as long as the pain Okay, um, so you know, whatever the slisiest worst food corporation out there Um definitely was on the payroll, but then when I went on star got his ass kicked He definitely just turned around and went home and said yeah, I did do it He kicked my ass when I run out of doing that That job did no not gonna do that job that job was bad.

No You come back and just like well, why is the job not done? I don't know he kicked my ass I'm not gonna go fight him. I'm done with this. I don't want to get my ass kicked.

See you you should hire someone else All right, yeah, exactly All right, so It's been a bit uh for crossing paths Do we each get an aspect based on both those crossing paths? Uh, I believe I believe that that would be your story. So it would be well, it could be either one of your stories I think I think it might be better with uh you more and you would gain an aspect for that I also took a look at Eli's aspect. Tell pathies.

No cure for paranoia. I like that So are we doing are we doing crossing paths like we did for the uh game? I played with you all where we like go to the next version of the narrative story Or are we just talking about it in the writing? I prefer talking about it, especially since it's a podcast, but yeah, I mean I guess that makes sense.

I mean, we just sat there and wrote stories for a bit and then read them off So that works too. I just I definitely do like talking things out a little bit So that way everyone's kind of got like a little you know a little touch of it in there Yeah, um So I guess my question will be should Morg's creepy ass acts be part of his crossing paths aspect Or should it be like a separate item entirely because I could I could totally be uh Speaks like his bark is as bad as his white I think I think the anybody else has a dry accent I think the acts might be the acts might be better for a separate aspect by itself Uh outside of that because we still we still kind of want to get morgue as it's like a just a separate entity an entity by himself Okay, so uh I think if you put if you put uh if you definitely put that into one of the aspects It might seem like he's a bit reliant on it. Maybe Sure That makes a good aspect. Yeah And you can use that in combination you need to do you know Oh, uh, I was supposed to play by the rules.

We thought yeah, yeah Okay, well with that I think I'm trying to kind of modify the aspects I already had and either change them or update them So it's like mix it up because I heritage one for a gorkins But like get the job done whatever it takes kind of works for them also like first by struggle They they do this for a living almost I think another really good crossing pass might be for We kind of need one for a morage and morgue And I'm not really I feel like there should be an easy one there but I'm not really coming up with anything right away Because it is a mob boss and basically a bootleg yeah bootleg. Uh, what are they called? Smuggler. Yeah Well, they definitely work in the same market right um whether it's you know the who like food market or you know, um Just in general being a smuggler you have to be able to find trade routes and there's a lot of reasons why they could have crossed past for sure It seems to me like you two might be an aunt though because morgue is doing stuff for himself and kind of people whereas morage has I don't know normal mafia ambitions, right?

Like do some crime mix money Yeah, um But I I don't think morage really dealt In the black market foods all that much just because there there was way too much risk Um, and it just wasn't worth the risk Well, I mean morgue is still there. He's still kind of in that like like jake was saying before he knows the trade routes. Yeah, maybe maybe trying to maybe morgue had to Run a blockade that you were helping to oversee to get morgue was trying to get food in and you were trying to make sure that no ships got in because there was like uh quarantine in place or if we're just an embargo in general of everyone because the mafia was trying to have some sort of Some sort of push move going down against the local government that they didn't want interference but morgue went Oh shit man. I have to deliver even gotta eat It just kept on pushing Yeah, yeah is Do we do we describe what like what morage had in mind for like what she was trying to like get go for in the mob like She was obviously stealing information from companies correct Yes so I think morage was trying to level was was trying to level the playing field amongst the companies So that they would all fight with each other and then she and her people could squeeze in to the power vacuum left Left behind with the so so she would collect information on various weapons or on max or whatever.

Um, and she would sell Um and and she would sell the lower end ones to to rival companies But she kept the best ones for herself so that when that power vacuum eventually opened up Okay, squeeze in I like the I like the blockade idea. I also like it What if yeah was set up as a fake blockade to catch one of the rival companies kind of like having a ship shipping of a prototype from one area to another Yeah While like there's a blockade morgue just happens to come by and be like what no this is i'm trying to do my route here And you thought like yeah, he's obviously smuggling something Oh, and then you you focus too much energy on morgue Like morgue set off so many fights of him being like Not practice not getting through kind of thing and you thought that oh no that ship is trying to break the blockade That's our target that's yeah Yeah, so so so why are these guys coming down on me? I just got a shipment of Yeah Space between a legal now is this a thing that's going to be going on So I don't think I can see the galactic congress kind of cracking down the space we can because The cost incurred on making sure that the curve stays so fresh so that they squeak them the freshest of she's Oh, all right, so So so what aspects can we pull from this story mike? You so I feel like based on that story you Do whatever you have to to get the job done regardless of anybody else's Time or schedule or anything like that Yeah, so I kind of that's already my aspect from the other one so that's right Yeah, kind of Because I'm kind of looking at this as some of the aspects I already have that I can't totally lose and pillage I shouldn't like you, but I do so this could be one of the things where Word has so much fun Ducking and weaving and you were staying within the ranks of not killing him but he went like oh my god This is awesome.

I've been a message this person afterwards and say that was great Like no hard feelings, but Okay That's right But I'm also extremely biased because I already had all of this stuff kind of pretty done So my brain's already set and like oh these are more aspects, but I can change though So there's more is kind of like an adrenaline junkie. He's fucking always going for something Yes, always fighting always getting in trouble or getting into trouble, you know, like it sounds like you just want to be moving around and do this up all the time Yeah That's not a good aspect to me Oh, I'm just trying to figure out how to word that If it's not if I'm not cackling, it's not good enough Well, I think I think what Jake said was pretty good just adrenaline like adrenaline junkie I think I really I really also wanted to pull I kind of just want to keep that as a story just for both of you Because I do like the image of a mirage just like very very single-mindedly focusing their attention on morgue Just so that way, you know, they can't get through we can't kill them. We can't mess this job up We can't let their corporations know We've got to get this guy this guy keeps like bobbin and weaving and then just Not blindsided, but let's just focus so much on that task that they don't see the actual Yeah shipment come through Yeah I don't word that um Single-minded yeah, I like it. I was Go ahead.

I was thinking blinders on but single-minded works much better Just just in the suggest I think blinders on this good too I think the part of it that really attracts me is it's sort of like You're doing your best to do everything properly so that the nights don't catch you doing what you're doing but like The the indignity of someone getting through your blockade is far more yeah. Yeah. Yeah, uh singular focus Titanic focus I do like if you let's say you put it in the singular focus or the single-minded aspect There's a lot of ways that you can like twist that to be like if you are using your telepathy on a single person It's more effective, but if you try to use it on a group I can always pull that aspect and be like okay It's a little bit harder for you to do this because you're doing multiple minds at once It's just like a weird kind of like throw around especially with the telep to lap that God damn it. I can't say that word Telepathy yeah, yeah, okay, so Single-minded There's a flip side of that too where like mirage gets so focused on doing what is important to them That kind they play their hand that they're playing around its own brain like oh no the veil slipped a little bit And now I have a feeling like I feel weird and I don't know why that's what yeah All right.

Well, um is there anything else you guys want kind of uh situation? We still have like the skills we still have the stones that we need to kind of get through um I uh I did not get an aspect down for my crossing pass with Jake. Okay, um And I don't remember what you suggested Cody. I'm sorry.

It's oh um I don't think we had anything major fleshed out for that. Yeah, it was um Because I I kind of took the idea like the the main idea that I remember from I was talking about that and slid that into my first story First story aspect right um How about okay, so maybe I haven't explained the nights as much as I would like Because I think there's been this misconception that they're like a police state or some sort There's definitely definitely things in the sector that are more blackwater like Jake was saying but the nebula nights are more of a salvation army or Like a militia almost or like a neighborhood watch kind of deal Yeah, kind of like a neighborhood watch like situation because they where they're situated is kind of like a high Like danger zone, especially between the the confrontations between the confederate colonies and the united colonies There's there's always people to help out there because there's either pyrotech or them attacking each other So there are always people to help out there. Um, but they're kind of weird in the sense that they're not They don't really get paid from typical means they take into nations and stuff like that So they're a major like they're the major entity in this area Or sort of like an upcoming major entity in the area with with seemingly no one paying them Which seems very weird and awkward and like everyone knows this everyone is kind of like on the pulse of that But they're not people definitely going after the people who boot like get bootleg food and cross it over They're not the people going after that they're people like going down planets and settling disputes or going down the planets and helping people out when there's a plague or this weird uh like a cropping up of uh pirates in the area People who are just killing without reason So they're kind of like the sheriff's of the uh wild west that was kind of situation where they turn a blind eye when they meet too but if Like for harmless stuff that's outside the law but if stuff is going down they will stop it Yeah, basically There's not really a lot of law in the sector mainly because of what happened to the previous government like all of that stuff kind of went down in flames And as soon as the corporations rose they just basically put in their own tenants and Whoever you know abides by the tenants it depends on which corporation you're looking to So I like that though because in the corporations are sort of you know freezing the wild west metaphor for going from town to town or um, you know state governments or something like that where they exist but you know they're kind of hands-off They're in some building somewhere. You know, they're very distant from the people on the ground Yeah, so like the mining corp may have a stake in this French world where they're getting a lot of stuff from but they don't actually have hands-on because as long as they get the product at the end They don't care.

Right. Yeah, that makes sense to me. Yeah I don't know where I was going with that. I had an idea but That's a great thing about fate.

You can have a whole bunch of ideas and they can come back later but as Like creation is like a communal thing. So everyone has ideas I can read between the lines Cody. I know you want us to wear cobwehats in the next stream and I'm just saying my head's too big I came to look I I bear may not have a fascination with the wild west, okay Do I get a star? At all times.

I mean, yeah, at this point you just paint your paint whatever ship you get Um, maybe the crossing so we definitely need a crossing pass between another kind of crossing pass between bone star and mirage and I think this might be the The twist so I can get in my DM kind of like railroading chu-choo in here. Maybe okay Bones are to join up with the nebula nights beforehand and He's been doing they've been like saying he's been doing a great job and he's excellent at what he does Which is blowing shit up which sometimes they don't exactly pay for I think that might be mirages way in maybe mirage has that bit of trouble and is now kind of like trying to get away from everything like that and Sense you know can't really trust anybody and a person that always seems to trust her or at least uh the jobs or whatever it was Bonestar, maybe that could be the situation where mirage goes to bone starts as hey, I'm in this bind and bone stars Just like hey, there's these cool people.

They let me do what I want Yeah, they basically point me in a direction and I blow shit up and I come back and everything seems okay That's anything that's the only thing he ever wants that would make him so happy He just has no responsibilities. He is the happiest boy in the gelly um Yeah So what aspect could I pull from that? Aspect um Yeah, that's Well, here's here's one thing you're reaching out to someone who doesn't seem overly reliable So it like maybe you're either in the bind or you're sort of um desperate or you are more willing to like look at weirdos And think oh I can I can take an answer to this person this person isn't gonna be hard to deal with because I have an idea Yeah, I like that. That's pretty good.

That's a little model for a model. That's really The answer justify the means. Yep. I like it.

Cool kind of kind of just like doing my DM. I did I dug into the vaults for this one the one that we did like a two months ago Um, I literally would just scroll up through a gmail chat or a throw hagos chat.

So let me let me strap you guys all in the choo-choo real quick Let's have a bone star you arrive back at uh, nebulin night HQ Uh, everyone for some reason, uh, whenever you land your ship in the docking bay There seems to be a line of uh, some of the green recruits from a couple of months a couple of months ago And they're all kind of like lined up outside and they're all kind of waiting for you to like dock your ship and the little landing thing comes down It's almost a very like scene like scene by scene replay of like Darth Vader returning As you kind of like walk down and there's like this weird music in the background And it seems very ominous for a few seconds until you look at all the species to the side of you and you see these like weird like creatures Some of them have like eight tentacles and huge like a gigantic eyeball like one of them is forearm creature And they're all kind of like saluting you in different ways as you're walking back down and uh, Someone comes up towards you and it looks to be a robot But you obviously know that there's a small person inside piloting the uh quote unquote jite to them, but uh, uh, Basically same size as you and they come up to you and uh, they hands you What seems to be like a packet with some paper inside which seems odd because everything nowadays is digital And uh, he kind of likes us to you that this is from the high commander She wants to meet with you in the office after a bit She said music if I got away the shit sucks man. It's a bummer He sort of like looks around and goes what there's there's no there's no music. What do you Oh, you know, it might have been the music of the spheres, uh, you know, non-euclidean beings like me love to hear music You flesh people that you have terrible music Uh, he's sort of like looks like he's like i'm not detecting any Anama, okay.

Hell yeah Yeah, and I'm obsessed with uh, cowboy stuff georgi sort of like looks back and looks down at the at the ground as you're kicking it along And he looks back beyond the hallway behind you seeing all these grapes on the floor He just shakes his head and he goes, I'm gonna have to clean that Someone's gonna have to clean that yeah, probably Sort of size it puts like one of his paws and his his forehead and continues on on the way down the hallway Uh for the rest of you You guys have been uh coming into the nebulinite station for a bit now because there's a recruitment drive of as of recent and uh You guys have been interested in the nebulinites at least somewhat mainly for different reasons probably And uh, they've kind of set you up in this uh large auditorium Uh, there seems to be like anywhere upwards of like 150 like 200 seats But there really seems to be about 20 people in this room sitting down in the seats waiting for the presentation to begin As you look around you see a couple people um And barrage as you kind of like look around you see behind you is a forearmed uh creature of the species uh, bagorian And he sort of crosses his arms and he's sort of staring at you and when you turn around he sort of like lien's ford He goes, what are you looking at? I could ask you a similar thing He leans in closer and goes, I'm looking at a little piece of meat I could rip off and it's thousand pieces before you could even call it for help Um So mirage is just going to Take a look at him and then is going to press on his mind Uh to where he forgets that she's there Uh, he's leaning forward a little bit and you press upon his mind uh, ever so slightly And as he's leaning forward he sort of like looks down and then looks back up And he just starts like looking around the room and then he turns to the side and locks eyes with morgue Because he's kind of loud and he leans forward and says what are you looking at? Not too much He goes I can rip you into a day javu You already tried that dude. It didn't work What oh Just sit down It's catered There's thousands of little pieces over there and the buffet help yourself He sort of like looks to the seat that um mirage quote-unquote was in and then looks back at you and he leans back And then he gets up and he goes to the catered buffet Morgue silently reaches out a fest towards mirage for this Um mirage is going to look at you as well And it's it's very obvious that she realizes who you are in and reluctantly holds up a fist work grins and Extensive with that and then uh Goes yeah, this is gonna be fun.

So what this is suddenly turns back around So with this why don't we uh, I think I I'm not sure if you guys have but I definitely have seen more Can you describe morgue in a bit more detail for the uh listeners? sure Work is he is probably Question are we using metric or imperial space units? Oh god dammit This happens when you write a Canadian onto the show. Um fuck he's roughly two meters or six feet tall I was gonna say we can go with metric here because I mean it's what the rest of the world goes with so morgue tall and like he and just a uh mechanics jumpsuit Though when he's in full-blown thug mode He generally he usually has it either like what the t-shirt underneath belt it around his waist by the arms or just Forgos the t-shirt entirely if he's going full cav but he's uh he's tall lanky muscular enough and he has a five foot long monstrosity of and Looks like it's half half giant monkey wrench half chain saw blade as an axe that he just has with him It's it's his mechanics tools like whatever you take whatever you take to get the job done All right, yeah, if you look very closely on the half, there's a bottle of water Whatever it takes to get the job.

So what about what about mirage? What is what is mirage? Oh, what i'm sorry. Let me go back and work real quick.

Is he in full-blown thug mode or does he have a shirt on? Oh, he has a shirt on. Oh, I didn't mention uh black hair pointy ears he has a What looks to be a set of racarone shades on elatimes which is actually a super computer That he uses for potential wireless hacking because low And uh, he also has intricate tattoo work Across his all of his arms and were both of his arms and his torso of gearwork pistons, uh electrical diagrams just It looks like Celtic knots if Celtic knots were engineering already like he's at the bar uh, don't be so So I think mirage is about Let's see if two meters is six feet Yeah, so so mirage is Whatever the equivalent of five seven in metric is I think that'd be close to one and a half meters maybe Just doing some really brief math. I should be better at math.

I think it's not like four loonies Yeah Um and and Because she is a cat person. Um, she looks Yes, she has 170 centimeters. I was close one and a half versus 1.7. Yeah, right?

Yeah, something like anyway, um, so She looks like a lynx if the earth lynxes were in space. Um, uh, she has dark gray fur, um, uh, And and the fur right around her mouth is white. Um, she has on a long black, um, space nester and um, it is concealing two twin pistols and a pretty long blade, um, that she prefers not to use but she will if, um, the situation calls for it. Um, uh, Yeah, um, and and she's wearing, um, some type of clothing beneath a duster.

It's not just a duster because that be weird, um, but um, it's it's sort of like The pattern itself is a mitch Uh, the pattern itself is sort of a mismatch of colors. Um, uh, Uh, because since she's been on the run, she's had to sort of disguise herself a little bit. Uh, but there's no way she would ever, um, Get rid of the duster. Okay.

Also, you you had to go with duster and two pistols, right? And we keeping with this while it was space. I mean, I mean, you know, Cody set the bar, so I'm gonna I go I have a question for you, Eli. I know I'm not as deep for this one.

I S.T. Do not that I like these questions. So you said that she has a long blade at her head. Yes, does she not use her any For a reason like does she see them as unsiply or does she just like the extra each of a good sharp blade?

She just likes the extra each. Um, if people are close enough to where she has to use her claws, they are way too close. I like it. Like, like, I love those kind of questions keep keep coming.

Yeah, so With that, uh, you kind of see the little lights in the room kind of darken and uh, one of the Uh, what you notice as a perotian kind of comes up on stage They sort of have like this fish scales all over their body. They have a beak and uh, these kind of like wide bitty eyes And uh, he's sort of like fumbling over some papers. Uh, he he's like going through a few papers And you notice that one of his hands has actually been cut off and is replaced with a robotic hand And uh, he reaches over and he starts like tapping on a little pad next to him and he goes, uh, everyone quiet down We have a presentation to show to you before we get through with uh, most of the recruitment process We'd like to at least introduce you to the to the nebulous nice and uh, see if you know, you like the uh, uh, The way that we handle things here. Uh, we you definitely understand with the presentation everything.

It's going to be Uh, how we do things here. Um, if you have any questions or comments or concerns, please keep them for the end Uh, thank you any sort of uh, does a does a small little bow and he starts to walk off stage And uh, you hear uh, what sounds like a like a like a flapping come from the back and you see up on the screen a five four three two one and a black and white presentation is presented to you that says the nebula nights Uh, mike, I think you have a question more Kind of more is quickly before we start in with us more as the guy is walking off stage After he said save all questions to the end work is going to lean over to verage and say I don't know about you, but I have a handkering for fish fingers right now Because he had a robotic head so he was missing fingers So fit the fish fingers Oh god Oh, okay fingers stick got it. All right. I was like fish don't have fingers man I think i think morage got the same this guy has my last thing.

I think morage would have the same reaction i have of just kind of staring And then going back to the video just like what the hell am I doing here with this guy like What what the hell? So the presentation continues this video goes on it is like a 1980s film of like the boisterous voices and and these weird cartoons and Greetings sally, how did the nebula nights help you today? Well, they came in and they went up the tree and they got my teeth like it's everything from getting cats up into trees to stopping galactic like warfare And it's like basically the presentation like the presentation giver like walks onto the stage of a starship He goes well general commander can can can Bob. How did the new nebula nights help you today?

I was gonna say general kenobie. Sorry We're in space. I had to and he's like well They helped us in Resiluting terms and creating a good diplomatic basics for our future generations and it's just the most ridiculous thing you've seen in a while Bone star we we continue to you as you sort of like walk through nebula nights HQ kicking your kicking your head down the hallway until you Guys named Gregori Gregori points to one of the doorways and it says high commander and it's like this double door like these double doors made out of wood against like the metal panel work of this area and And she's pointing and says uh you uh high commanders in there go for the secretary and probably have like a thing She's probably expecting you. I've got to find a mop you Do you know or something?

No, it's fine. I just I just need to get out here and get this done before someone sees a deputy's probably gonna find me and I'm gonna look behind me like what did I leave as a It's not that bad, but like every now and then your your your skull flipped over and then you kicked it again So like the horns dragged down the hallway and he's like I'm gonna get wags. I'm just gonna be a killer for that I'm just gonna look back and be like I think it looks cool, man But uh I get what you're saying. Hey do what you gotta do I'm gonna take care of this and I turn around and try to open the door the wrong way through so you you you Grap until I finally get it right.

It's like it just a regular door the knob But like all of the doors are automatic here. So but first you just walk up to the door and it doesn't open and then Yeah, push the knob like a button and it doesn't be like nothing happens and then like Finally you hear like a yes, I definitely like a quick noise as the door opens up and you see on the other side Another perotian one of the female of the race kind of like more brightly colored scales She's kind of got like a parrot beak and she goes uh, oh bone stock. I believe that I commented one to see you come in come in You Great will do I'm gonna have my head like slowly moving back towards my son as it gets picked up in the hole It's like he's not picking it up and putting like what do we what do we get a description about star real quick Especially with that little uh little tidbit right there Sure bone serve by himself is just a floating son He's a tiny son about the same size as a volleyball Um and all of his power is in his consciousness and his senses all just come from the little son But the race he's from they like to gather physical things around them so that they can have a body and interact and move and have things to Create gravity and pull against so he's got a skeleton body that he carries around with him with a giant cow skull for the head Um and then on top of the skeleton he's wearing just basic clothes like uh like a sleek star trek style basic top And then a like a leather vest on top of that and some simple black pants with some big boots But when he moves it like one thing he likes to do is take little parts of his body off and throw him around because technically it's nothing but like a toy to him Okay, so a giant cow skull is A bone stars fidget. Oh, absolutely Absolutely So you you start walking to the office and you're like this is this part of the hq was a lot more furnished uh the The floor is carpeted the the sides of uh basically the walls have like side paneling on them that are made of like wood Uh, there's like a lot of like regal like decorations along the side There's like candelabras and some of them are kind of lit but like there's no fire coming out of it's not really fire It's like just this weird uh like mechanical like sparks every now and then And uh like there's this very large wooden desk at the other end of the table and she sits back down and she tells you to take a seat for a second And as soon as you sit down uh or as soon as you like go off to the side The door in the back opens up and you see a woman walk out She's has on the uniform of the nebulin nights Uh, she's got you know, just kind of like this dark bluish great jumpsuit kind of like you're wearing Uh with these dark black pants and the boots as well except like one of her shoulders is uncovered and you see on uh Kind of on her upper arm a very large tattoo of the nebulinite symbol, which is Um, I gotta figure out what I called it when I gave it to jake I Don't remember.

I'm sorry. I can dig through it. No, I got it It's a tattoo of a dragoon star starfish Which is basically a koi fish with scales that look like the night sky and or galaxy and behind it is a large shield And she walks up to you and she says Good evening. Don't start.

I was hoping to meet with you for a little bit I think it's time to do the admiral. I'm the high commander Okay, good. Yeah, I was told to bring some papers to someone like that Uh, she looks down at the papers And then she looks like a petEer she's like you didn't read them on the way No, was I supposed to read them? She I don't know how to read she takes them from you and she like just nods her head just coming to my office And she leads you into the back room.

I want to just walk on up and come down But start you've been with us for a little while now you You've done so much for this organization You have ways in which you get things done that I find efficient, but uh ever so slightly destructive Yeah, I think it's I love what I do I can I can clearly see that on anything you do and in fact whenever I send you out on a mission It seems like I know that it's going to get done But I think it's time that I think it's time to forget to settle down maybe maybe at least Give your skills or at least give your talents to uh the next group the next uh little set of recruits here and I would like you to be on the next board of Basically deciders for the recruits coming in. I would like you to pick a specially designed team to train Oh boy, uh So Let me ask you like uh these new people today die easy That's I guess that's up to you Oh, then yeah for sure Uh, no, I'll go and see your guys like is this where we make is this a deal? Can I get my real ship back? Uh, do you want your real ship back?

I'm not gonna use it was unprofessional. Well, no it sends out a bad image We needed it. I I wanted to paint a logo on it, but the nebula nights logo But you said that wasn't it wouldn't stay with the bones No, it's not dude. There's no space on the ship for more paint I talked to the guy and he said that like the seventh thing of fire you can't do more fire So I don't know why you think you put more stuff on top of fire.

Okay If you come into a system and you show if you don't show off the nebula nights, you know symbol then it doesn't seem like you're representative of us So I didn't it it seemed like a bad idea I didn't want you to represent yours not represent us when you ever you went on on your missions That's cool. I just yeah, okay. I'll talk to the kids and then like I don't know next time I see you we can talk about it I'm getting like I don't know. I'm getting bored.

All right. Well My secretary will lead you to another room. You're probably gonna be bored a little bit longer because You have to interview some of the recruits coming in. Oh, that won't be boring.

I like meeting people most of the time they either give me money or I get to kill Do me a favor don't kill anybody just yet. Um, we like to give everyone here a fair chance Yeah, so uh, I'll leave you to it And as you put well, that's good. I've you know It's nice to meet you again. Admiral.

I've always liked you. Hi commander. I'll do the best job at king. Hi commander Yep Yeah, hi commander Bone star anyway, I'm out I'm just walking away She sort of like puts one of her hands like under her chin and starts like to rub it as you walk out of the room and uh The secretary kind of like leans you down the hallway Explaining the whole situation bigger basically set up to interview these new recruits coming in you're you're supposed to Pick from the bunch which ones that you want and then there's also two other people on the board with you Who will also be debating on which like which positions that they will be in whether or not they're under like in a squad or with a Basically a covert group with one of the deputies to actually go to one of the clusters to kind of like help out Or if they needed more training so they kind of like put you in this board meeting and uh the first You're kind of like there with another one of the The commanders there It's the guy that you met whenever you got off of your ship the guy in the little robotic suit And uh on the other side of him is the perotian from the presentation and they're kind of just like shuffling papers around and kind of like going through a bunch of things and he picks up one he goes first on the docket is uh one mirage and uh mirage you walk in Okay, it's kind of like this square room with uh just kind of like a little like a podium in the back with the three people on top on it And a chair kind of like in the middle of the room Okay, um mirage will go and stand behind the chair and we'll say greeting it is pleasant to greet you Oh, uh, hi.

Oh, hello bone star. It has been long time. Oh, is that uh, say you you two know each other Uh, I guess so yes, we go back Yeah, yep. I think so the two other what were you the two other people look over at you?

I'm sorry for like a long time Yeah, well, look, uh, I don't remember the details, but you seem familiar. Are you um, do we you give me some money once? Um Is it possible for me to jog bone stars memory using my abilities With the ability to like remove yourself from a situation. I would probably say yeah, we're just kind of looking at everything right now.

So sure Yeah, so, uh, oh, yeah, okay with jake Do me a favor. Please poke my brain. Okay. Yeah, so uh, so I am going to uh, so mirage starts to poke at bone stars brain Um and and starts inserting uh herself into not necessarily the the memories where she should be but just in a few random ones Um, you know As soon as that happens, I'm gonna go.

Oh, you know what? You know what? We um She and I used to work, you know before the nights. We were I was a hunter.

She was a client We got wrapped up in this big job Long story short. We had each other's backs. So I trust this cat more than anybody else in the universe Yes, that is that is extremely kind of you to say bone star and And though I don't trust easily I I consider you An individual. I consider you a close and personal friend.

Well, thank you I would give my full endorsement to this guy Uh One of the robots kind of the robot kind of person looks over to you because well since you have that maybe just the preliminary questions I don't know what what do you believe that your strengths? Uh, you could one of the strengths that you can bring into the nebulin nights as a whole I Possessed the abilities to get in and and go unseen where others would have difficulty. Um, I'm very good at reading people as well Uh bone star as uh, she's kind of saying this you can see the robot is writing down suspicious and sneaky on the paper Uh The perotio kind of like looks up because What is it that you believe the nebulin nights can give to you at the end of your career here? What is it that something that we can provide back to you?

We provide to the community a lot, but is there something that you can get in return from uh, your basically selfless selfless acts here? Uh, so uh, um, uh, some roge is going to to think for a little bit. Um, and then say, um, this is more of a means to an end while I attempt to find myself So hopefully the nebulin nights can can give me direction in my life Bonster's gonna put a finger up and go. I've also found that uh, this is a good person and the direction is that she's good You see the robot next to you says writes down something about navigating I'm gonna say like look she's not a navigator.

Okay, the robot puts his hand over his paper so you can't see anymore Uh, and so so immediately after bone stars is that, um, uh, mirage will say actually I have been known to uh, to be able to navigate quite well Should they need a rise? Uh, the robot kind of like looks down at the paper it marks something out and it looks back up Are there any other skills that would be important for you to at least notify us at the nebulin nights? Uh, that you are able to do maybe you have some uh, talents in calligraphy or you have some talents in piloting or you have some talents in negotiation Um, so I'm not sure so I'm not sure mirage wants them to know that she's a telepath She should project the image of the minotaur out for people to see Um, that she can project illusions. So she would use that ability to make it look like she can transform her shape to the size herself Okay, um, so so she would, um, Project onto herself so she should project into their minds that she looks like, uh, and she'll go down the line That it would be first the perotium and then after a few seconds the robot and then after a few seconds She would turn into bone into bone star and then turn back into herself As soon as she turns into bone star bones, there's gonna point you like and she's good looking And Should the need for any, um, any hostage negotiation or any other sort of diplomatic talks be necessary?

I have been known to be able to To calm the situation and get what needs to be done done Uh, so the perotium kind of like nods to the robot next to them and they kind of like look over to bone star They're kind of like nodding at him as well and uh, she's the perotium says that'll be all mirage and uh, They you kind of like step out of the room. Uh, the two of them kind of turn over to bone star and say Are you gonna be okay in these interviews you you're kind of We're supposed to keep them on edge so that way they can uh kind of like under pressure We're testing them under pressure. Oh, you want me to be like, uh, shitty? Not not shitty so to speak but at least give you know Put a bind on them make sure that they squirm a little bit so that way we can understand what they're liking in high-intensity situations We don't want them to break easy Gotcha.

Okay. Well, look, uh, you know, I get what you're saying. I guess uh, I just you know, she's she's a good friend So, uh, it's gonna be hard for me to keep my life out of it, you know But you know, I don't know the rest of these fucking chumps. So yeah, I'll breathe down the neck The robot kind of like taps like, pass your shoulder your the bone that's your shoulder your shoulder bone And uh, so as soon as he He says I understand personal relationships and all Well, yeah, I mean the the admiral told me that I get to choose what I'm gonna work with on work with her Oh, okay.

If that's one of your choices then by all means also high commander Sure, of course, admiral like man The robot writes down another note like but like hides it away from bone star So after after a bit another person comes in you interview them bone start Do you like actually give them shit or do you you're going in hard or you just kind of? I'm going in hard, but like you can tell that bone stars Kind of idea of going in hard is talking shit basically So it's sort of it may be a lot of pressure, but he's not asking insightful questions It's kind of more like uh, what makes you think you're tough you look like you look like a real asshole I think uh, I think for the most part they kind of like handle the insightful questions after you like verbally beat them down Pretty much yeah Uh more you're kind of standing outside and uh secretary kind of comes up to you she goes You'll be next after the vigorian is done And uh as she says to this you see the door slide open and uh this forearm creature that out that was talking to you before kind of trying to threaten mirage And then threaten you has now ball four hands in his face crying walking out of the room It's just like I have mother issues, but that's just uh four. I'm just for a reason For our dog Uh she points inside she says uh, I believe you're next and you walk inside the interview room Okay Mark comes in and sits down and kind of not slouch's as much as Since As slouchy as he can be and still being upright You like the kid in high school who's got like other things on their mind Yeah, we're the guy that has a drop interview that he's pretty sure that he's going to get anyway So the person kind of like flips you get some paper and says uh, this is uh, um, morg-thraca, uh, you're a gorkian, correct? Yeah, that's right.

We don't see many of you out here this way Yeah, well Somebody's got to be a trailblazer, right? True true. That's that's something we we try to uh exemplify here at nebulinite It's going into places that people most people wouldn't want to go. That's for sure I thought it was because gorgons are stupid to start a spaceship Yeah, yeah force organs the other ones can build them.

Yeah, they're like, I don't know much but they're they're dumber than I am That's uh, that's something. What's your idea? What's your special? Let's just say that I'm smarter than you look Okay, like that is good They what about fighting you?

I'm sorry like they kind of face palm is you say this Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, didn't we like a few months ago like uh This is that awkward moment where they both realize oh, they spent such a lovely night together Most are just kind of like Just like you really low going uh With the ships and uh You boarded me and uh more thumbs his axe to the table Oh, yeah, I remember that thing that thing's fucking badass this guy kicked the shit out of me You notice the relaxes are the right of the town He's great. He's good at yelling at me. He beat me up These recruits that it's a voluntary basis. They come in Oh, we're right.

Okay. Cool. Yeah, well, it's that's kind of like you said most gorgons are down as a second hammers and I'm not and Shit people got to eat somehow and doesn't seem like a good way to make sure that people could Yes. Yeah, this guy's great.

I like eating too Why don't we got to lose? I think I think at that uh The other two kind of like look over to you and just kind of shrug and goes well It I mean do you seem to have your mindset on him and well Well, okay. Is there any is there anything that you can bring to the nebulinites? That you believe that uh You can help us out complete our mission of trying to keep this part of the sector safe Well, I hope there's nothing roots inside and out which means I know if there's going to be any shitty business going on I have a pretty good idea of where that's gonna be I have a good handle of technology and And I also happen to know and work starts flipping up his hand as if he's scrolling something that nobody else can see I also see that oh Oh look at that.

You have a go fund a space go fund me page for your sick gerbil. Oh, look at that. It got paid off That the perotio happened for 500 space box the perotio Like looks around and he goes to go have some health package but he'll actually have the good help That's good for us for the perotio looks right he goes You funded billies you funded billies. Oh my gosh.

He's finally gonna get that surgery. I wanted to get to him the entire time Yeah, he looks like a good little durable the perotio starts like nodding their head very furiously Okay, bonestar is gonna slam his hand on the table And that's okay. I don't know is a pet involved. No one's more generous than I am And he's gonna reach inside of his chest which is like his just a rib cage and then put a thousand space box on the table You think that gerbil is the best possible you can find I will not be outgun I think it's sort of like the camera pans away to another room where the high commander is sitting in like an office chair watching The video on the screen and she just shakes her head and as she's like oh my god, this This may be the most ridiculous idea I would come up with god damn is it gonna be fun The camera pans over to her tattoo that she has in her arm and the logo pops up for the for the movie Nebula's night Yeah, baby.
