Greetings Space Cadets! Two episodes, 16 of the Nebula's Knights, a real play-based podcast in the SHU feat. My name is Cody and I am your game, Mayonnaise, for today's episode and today's Johnson to the Sector with me, as always, is Jay. Hi everybody, I'm here to do some space things.
Space things are very good, Jay who do you play? I play character name bone star, he's an intergalactic bounty hunter who happens to be made out of skeletons. Just so happens. And we also have with us our amazing fellow players, we have first off is Robert.
Hi, I'm also here for Space things. And who do you play within space? I play charm, plant species who right now is really just looking for a home. And for a 9 to 9 per month, you can have your very own charm.
This deal is for today only, so this is part of our pledge drive for SHU, so we'd appreciate and let's get a charm into every home. And our gracious host out here today is also Mike. Hi everyone, I'm Mike, I'm also down for space stuff and I'm playing Morg Thracke, the hacker G-Can. And we also have with us Eli.
I was told we need a 10 minutes of silence. Did I say 10 minutes? No you didn't. Oh god.
Eli who do you play? I play Mirage, who is just as shitty as I am. Aw, you're not shitty. Hubely.
I just want to give it a kitty cuddles. No cuddles for Robert though, I see how it is. I... Rob is aspects are coming into the forest, are even affecting the DM.
Look, all I'm saying is how often do you want to cuddle a plant versus how often do you want to cuddle a cat? It makes sense. This seems like some long term catfishing scheme to convince Cody to send Eli all of his good Pokemon. I don't know what you're talking about, come up Jay.
He hates those shinies for Pokemon, let's go Evie and or Pikachu. Well speaking of things you can cuddle. We also have low... I don't know if you can run that back.
Sorry, Logan. We also have Logan with us. He cuddled me if you want. That's a good intro.
That's a pretty decent intro. Hey, I'm Logan. I play a kitty, I'm a gucci. And hopefully this episode I don't just sit in a room all day.
Aw. Yeah, I was healing. You were healing up. I like that you were very dedicated to healing your wounds.
So I'm definitely going to say that your wounds are all healed. I was previously what I said before. Instead, this will be the episode where everyone sits in a separate room. It's going to be action packed.
We're going to have everyone go through interviews for different job positions. Oh, no. Necromancers and prospectors may be involved. I feel like you should have recorded that now.
But we've got all of our players, but we also have a special guest star today. We have Sophie. Hi. I'm not here for space stuff.
I didn't really sign up for that. And fuck all y'all. Hi, Sophie. Best guest session ever.
Damn. Damn. That is a hard stance in the very beginning. But we have Sophie playing Gloria Galax, who's currently showing you around.
And maybe some other people during this episode. I'm not good at secrets, so I just blurt it all that out. So speaking of secrets and blirting things out, does anyone want to remind us what happened last time on Nebula's Nights? I know it's not it because I was only there for a fragment of the effective episode.
I'm not sure where to start. I know about the middle and the end, but I got to say I get kind of fucked up by not being able to realistically before the show. My brain is just empty 90% of the time. I remember what happened to my character like all that, but I don't remember a lot of others.
I want to say we started in the workforce. Yeah, talking to the workforce, make a workforce plans. Some of us got hooked up with a travel guide. We decided to go out to the bar to try to see if we could get the attention of the local criminal element.
Let's start to do so by vomiting on a bunch of motorcycles, which started to bar fight. I forgot about that. I didn't know that. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, since I wasn't here for that.
Did you vomit magma or? Yes, I'm at magma on the motorcycle. OK, I can see why they would be angry. They were pretty pissed off.
The two guys thought it was cool if I remember correctly. And if I believe correctly, I was creating a distraction so that Robert, well, I know Robert went into the bar. Did anyone else go out with this? I was there.
Robert. Kita went to his room like he split off from you guys right after you guys got the tour guide. OK, yeah, that makes sense. He went to go heal in his room just like rest.
I guess what was the key to up do that episode then just because he was separate from everybody else? He went to visit schoolwork for a bit and then he got patched up and went back to his room, just to relax. And he talked to his brother a bit about a new idol that his brother was sponsoring and his brother wanted him to join him. Like he wanted Kita to stop doing just random jobs out in the workforce and actually joined him as like a bodyguard.
But Kita has stuff to do. He said, well, that's right. Later on, schoolwork came and visited Kita and thanked him for saving her and gave him a USB flash drive with information on portal technology. Which is something that we've been looking for to fight a portal to Earth.
So Mike, before we go back to Morgan, if I remember correctly, the end of the episode was everyone at the bar deciding to go to the concert. Yes. I think there's. Yeah.
I wasn't actually there for that. How about you? I'm a Raj and Sean are not friends. Oh, no, Raj found one of the people who used to work for her and is using them to get information.
That's all the pertinent stuff to Mirage. OK, because I was a quiet episode. So other than what happened to Mike, I don't even think we had a big dramatic cliff. I think the clinger was the portal technology.
OK, I'm getting the flash drive. Yeah. And the fact that the concert was between one of Sean's previous contacts, his May and a Kita's brother that the two of them are apparently working together and having this concert. OK.
Is there anything we need to know about what happened to Mike or is that all secret? So the long and the short of it is basically morgue may have accidentally a God. An entire God. Old and old internet means.com.
It's where you go to find our Patreon page. Basically, morgue was morgue went to check in on schoolwork to see how they were doing before booking an appointment to work with was it groundwork? The the one that was all up on about? Yes, groundwork is the head nerd of gods, the one that is all up ons about gods and workbooked and appointment with them was asked by one of the worksmen to talk to the magic hateball because they were asking for morgue by name, which was unusual because they don't have mouths or speakers.
Morg went in and talked to them, went down, down, down, deep underground to where the to where they were being held inside of a very intricate pharity cage to make sure that there wasn't any transmissions going in or out or anything. Morg started talking to them and it was quickly revealed that they were currently going by ASCII the Ascended. A a God of technology potentially. And basically they mentioned that there's stuff that was going on, that more things that are going on in the universe than we are privy to right now.
Potentially all portal technology is completely locked down to to some business with a gods going on. Something's happening. Who knows check all the other SHU feeds for more information. Specifically, aprofill heroes for a lot more information.
That's getting real. Yeah, I think a lot of information is sort of separated on us. But I think that was the majority of the episode. There was a lot of separation here.
Hopefully we can bring this one all together. And with that, I think we'll start off very firstly with more more your sort of time. You were in the last episode, you were walking towards groundwork's location, their space that they work in. You did have this weird encounter with some people who were worshiping a God that seemed to be about sort of like redemption and sort of like reclamation of someone.
Yes, the what worked up to the space Scientology cultists of Orte. Right. There was a few stories sort of outside this weird, almost like a Gothic cathedral in a way, but it was sort of like sleek and made it of like this strange marble. They were sort of handing out some plant pamphlets to the to the worship of a God named Orte.
I don't know. Did you throw away the pamphlet? I thought you did. I think more tucked it into his back pocket just so he could use it as an object lesson to the crew when he got back to them of.
So I met one God and what God handed a pamphlet for some cultists right now since I've literally met a God. I am not outside the realm of possibility that this thing actually exists. But also it could just be bup-kiss. So with that, you sort of had out who calls themselves the fellowship of the revolving door.
I mean, come on. So with that, you sort of head out into God, I was with the name of this place, even though it's like a drain. It's drain or so with that, you had out into sort of the, I'm not going to say backwaters of drain or but more of a drain or is a gigantic city planet. It's a very small plan for most of the capital systems, but this thing is surrounded by a complete city.
There are some spaces, however, that have like little pockets of just sort of like Earth and not Earth, but ground and places to actually work, trees and it's not like a park, not like a separated park, but just seems like this weird cut off where the city just immediately ends and then you just have nature sort of beginning. They have given you the coordinates of this place and you should walk out there a little bit. It almost looks like a wasteland out here for a while until you reach the coordinates, which seems to be like a archaeologist marked off area where there are sort of like these strange like square patches in the ground. And you sort of see a lot of equipment here.
According to internet, as an aside, according to internet, a cumulopolis is the word for a city-wide planet. Oh, or a planet-wide city, whichever cumulopolis. I'll have to. Well, I'm going to know what it is.
So as you sort of look around this area, you notice that there is a very familiar suit again, a mechanical suit that looks like a guard, except for this one has just sort of like bandoliers of different instruments and tools across their body. You see that they're sort of dug down sort of like pretty deep and hunched over and they have different various tools in each of their fingers, sort of very delicately sort of taking off layer by layer of what is in the start patch. Do I recognize the metal? No.
I'm just I keep this ground. I keep saying this and it's just that the guard all sort of look, they all have very similar models. There's like slight variations to them, but they just recognize what because it is a guard in a suit. OK, because I wouldn't ask normally because that would be a guard normative of me, but I mean, they are working on the ground, right?
Yeah. So so they're ground working. Yes. You can see why I would be confused.
You guys are noticing this, but yes, it is very specifically credit work. I go kind of check their picture against the picture that I have of groundwork for the the make a model and markings for the guard mecca. Just be just a double check. It seems to be very similar that you have like a workforce ID picture.
Oh, hello. We had a meeting your groundwork, correct? The mech sort of throws up its hands in surprise and you hear a teeny voice scream. It seems like you have startled groundwork and they sort of back up fall over in their mech and they sort of head portion looks up at you.
Yes. Hi. Hello. Oh, geez, I don't even have stealth as a skill.
How the hell does that happen? They almost sound wide eyed. I'm so sorry. I was just focused on the work.
So hi. Oh, I didn't even look at the time. I'm your mug, correct? Yeah.
That's me. We were going to sit down and talk about various information for gods and their abilities. And some things have happened since I had sent that first message. So you will be interested in that also.
They immediately get up and walk over to you. I'll please, please come this way. I have a small place that we can sit and chat. Yes, I would love to discuss with you.
It's been a long time since anyone in the workforce, at least I just wanted to talk about any of the old older gods or anything interesting. Is there a specific question that you had about one in particular? Did you want the current gods, the old gods specific pantheon? Well, here's the fun thing.
My the questions that I had before an event earlier today were vastly different than the ones that happened just recently. You're probably going to have a bunch more people asking about the gods old and new soon. Like, work checks as watch and goes like, yeah, like probably within the hour or within the cycle because why can you tell me about asking the ascended? Because I can tell you some things about them because I just met them.
Guards have this very impressive way of like projecting what they're sort of feeling. You you feel like the, you know, when people sort of like are in stunned silence, the guard have a different variation on it where their mech seems to speed up as their their climate control is trying to keep up with the sweating of the garden side. You hear it like just were up. And after a moment, they sort of go please put it about it.
Go go go go go. They sort of like waving at you to explain. Long story short, because I don't know how much of this. I'm supposed to have a foot up and how much the listener already knows about.
Holy crap, I'm even aware of me breaking the fourth wall. Now, am I knows this and even bleeding? Talking to gods is awesome. It's an all out of salt on the fourth wall.
He came with his guns loaded. He's like the punisher. So we can say that to be this wall. So we can say that you info dumped all of that sort of on on to them.
And they are sitting there for a little bit and then they start pontificating themselves. They tell you that the ASCII is actually one of the more recent gods. It's not like a long standing one, but they will know too that it was sort of designed whenever the not designed, but some say that it was sort of born out of the cyber courier system that was initially developed whenever the species started talking to one another. They sent out these like these drones in a space in which they could relay formation between they're using a specific program to analyze the different languages and this program that they had developed a sentience of itself and then started to progress.
This program was initially designed by the therasops, but then started being worshipped by the therasop scientists who created it. Oh, sounds about like a some god. I know they do say that that they were sort of like not a resurgence, but they were sort of a lull in research about the specific god. So it's interesting that you see you've added the ascended onto it because that's not something that most people sort of refer to.
They just refer to it as ASCII and Borgwood theorize that the ascended part, the ascended suffix may be because this incarnation of them or avatar of them came about from Borg, rifling through the ram of a. What were they called a speed force, a speedball, the eight ball? They were from the sports company. They were from the Avial Speed League, the Avial Speed League.
So maybe the the AI that was rifling through the memory of maybe they were and a secret adherent of ASCII or maybe just the sheer act of analog clashing with digital just for the sake of knowledge came and brought about the change for them becoming the ascended. But or it could just be that it's like this body is the one that is housing them right now. So if they ascended to become ASCII, Mark's not a theologian, he probably shouldn't even be spouting like this because he doesn't have that good of a literal, but he's been dealing with the stuff a lot. So he's very intuitive.
So you guys discuss this sort of theology for a little bit, even the philosophy and maybe how this came about. But after a bit, they ask you, is there any other questions that you had? Because it seemed like you had a general sense of it. Did you just want to ask about this particularly in interaction, which do you mind if I document it and they sort of explain that they've been recording?
Oh, yeah. You can just edit this into the beginning of conversation. And it'll only be people like me that will notice, but you'll I'm saying it now. So it'll be fine.
I'm OK with this recording being this call being recorded for quality control purposes. Something about the implications of this being a place recorded or ruled by corporations and they don't give a fuck anyway. So that was that was the thing that was most pressing at first. But what I was going to ask about when we were when I first set forth this meeting was if you know anything about the theology of this planet called or Earth or maybe Earth, I can ever.
Some of the syllables are very odd. So there's that one of the things as he had mentioned was that portal technology is being walked down by gods. So I don't know. But that brings up the question of if all portals are god-based or if there's technological portals that can occur that aren't being blocked.
And also, and work takes out his axe and kind of puts it down onto the table. I'm weirded out by my axe. Well, we're did out as an intrigued because it's done some weird stuff. And I don't know if it's actually if it was just the way it was made or if it's like God's words or something.
I don't know if this may just be me hearing off in a weird direction. But I mean, it was covered in a God's blood and that blood disappeared. And I don't know what happened there. So shrug.
So there's a little bit of time between talking about these because whenever you have a groundwork, start talking about a subject, they just go off. You ask these questions and they wait patiently until you're done. And then they just dump a lot of information on you. They bring out an old book and they dust it off and they give you a history lesson on the Hindi pantheon in which you very much recognize Kali from.
I will definitely mention this to groundwork. Like, oh, yeah, I fought her. They tell you that they're still recording and they and you tell them that encounter. So it was Earth, then you had the question about portal technology, both theistic and atheistic groundwork.
Doesn't seem to have a good grasp on what you're talking about. She has the idea that they're not intertwined at all. But you got the information from a God. So she's she's basically saying, listen, I if you get that information from a God, I guess it's true, but I've never heard of anything.
Then after the portal talk, you talk about your acts. She looks at it, analyzes it for a little bit. She says she doesn't recognize the the composition of what's making up your acts. It seems to be some sort of like material that she's never seen before.
It is recognizable as sort of this. It's almost like something that has been reworked over and over and over and over again. But as she sort of getting into it, you see, you see her sort of slow down a little bit. She's sort of like almost takes like a nose dive in her energy.
You OK there? Yes, sorry. I'm just it's been a long day and you've given me a lot of things. I just it's a little tiring.
OK, well, if you've given me a lot of good info about like even the fact that my acts is like composed of materials that you haven't actually aren't readily known. That in of itself is pretty good info. So after you guys started talking a little bit about this, we'll switch over to the rest of the group. You guys are headed through the city.
And the last thing you guys had where you guys were going to a concert. But it seems that you guys have recognized that it was an advertisement rather than a real thing. But if you want to secure tickets, that might be a little bit difficult. Like you're saying the concert we're not we don't the concert's not happening.
And we need to get tickets anyway. Right. OK. So then I guess in that case, we'll kind of like look around and go if the concert's not happening, then what are we going to do with ourselves, boys?
Do we need to just? I don't know. Find some criminals and beat the shit out of them. How does this work?
Well, I thought that you'll say that your magic friend over there was just going to make people believe that these here pieces of paper were tickets. Well, yeah, but the concert's not on. And so like what are we going to do tonight? Oh, party party party.
Yeah, why not? Barraushan. There's not much to do between now and then. I mean, the events of planet, isn't it?
It's a good. Yes. It didn't seem like it was actually there on Dray Noir, but if you do do like a quick search of it, it is on a planet called Coscala. And is how far out is that like?
It's not too far out. Most of the stuff in the like the surrounding galaxies are probably like it takes you five days to get to from one planet to another, even within the system. It's a little bit shorter, but this one isn't going to be in system. It's sort of out in the edges.
So it's probably going to be like five to seven cycles days. Yeah. So we've got a little bit of time before the concert and it's a little way away. So you probably look at, uh, look at actually getting it, getting out that.
Oh, yeah. I mean, that's fine. I'm bored already. Like we need to do something, but I can't just leave.
There's people here. We got to go scoop them up. How about this? We'll go somewhere else because we have to.
There's nothing happening right now. We can come back for the concert. I need that alarm. Long drive.
Is it? I guess not. All right. All right.
I say we take off tonight. Then you're right, Sean. That's a good leadership. I'm a Raj.
Where are you going tonight? Oh, no. Probably just going to try and find some more information we can use. I have some irons in the fire as it were.
Hmm. Do you want more time to take care of that or should we just bail? Uh, I've given them a contact information thing. Get back to me so we can just go.
Yeah, I'm bored. I thought they're getting a bar fight making less board, but it may be more bored. Let's go back and scoop up more. Anyone else we want to bring with?
I'm ready to blow this place. It's not enough to do and it's too much to do. Okay. I guess I'm that case.
We'll just start walking back to the workforce space. I don't know. All right. So you guys head on back to the workforce space.
You were there and a key to you. You notice that you sort of get notified by network that the rest of the Nebulus Knights have entered. I'm going to trade like communications with them. Like can I get a hold of them?
It's like, am I able to like call our text? Oh, call our text the rest of the Nebulus Knights or who? Yeah. I think you have a lot of dark lines with them.
All right. Contact probably Sean because I think Akita would think that Sean would be more responsible of the group, like the more plus one starts that he was the leader. So it's working. Akita is going to message Sean and be like, Hey, what winter are you guys wanting to head out?
And Sean was just back fairly soon. We're just we're just back at base to grab more than a few things and we'll be heading out in a few hours. So he's going to take like message back to him. So is it all right that I go with you guys on this or?
Oh, you may have an extra member joining us. Cool. Oh, Akita, the dog. That's the one.
Yeah. I like him. He's good. OK.
And he's got a head screw down tight. We could use one or two of those. Yeah. Let's back to Akita saying that it's OK.
Metas ship point of the way launching. He's going to message back what ship and where? It's called Clarkers. You'll know when you see it and give the docking bay where it is.
All right. He's going to stay back to him. OK, and then he's going to pack up his things like he doesn't have a lot because he's got pretty Spartan bedroom, just like a bed and a couple of weights and like maybe a like computer tablet or two. He's going to start heading out towards the docking bay that Sean messaged him about.
And if he meets them on the way, then he'll join up with them. So you guys are all heading back to the carcass. Maraj, you did say that you were going to go get some more information that you could head out the city for a little bit or are you just going to go straight back to the carcass? I'll just go straight back to the carcass since I gave Jiminy a a contact info so they can get back to me and really find out stuff.
All right. Quick question. Did anyone say they were getting more? I don't think so.
OK, because I will do that if no one else is going to do that. Yeah, I think in the middle of the conversation here, in the middle of your conversation with groundwork, more you do get a message from bone star J. What does a boat like tell him? The message is just like get back to the ship or leave him.
It's nothing. There's no conversation piece. So all of you after sort of getting communications between each other, you guys make it back to the carcass. Who's question?
Who's on the carcass first, you think? And inexplicably, Mark. Probably a little bit further out, I think either Sean bone star Mirage, I don't think it has the keys to get in. Yeah, no, if he got there first, he would just be waiting by it.
Just like a good scene. I think he does waiting outside. Who's the first one to look like a key to into the ship. Oh, for new people listening slash new people in the chat, the carcass is a spaceship that is completely encased in bones.
That's like a big bone ship. Well, actually, can I just say the door would be unlocked? Would be a key to try and this life. It seems very likely, like for whatever reason, even if it is, I'd keep it wouldn't come on.
It'd just probably just be staring at it and be like, what the hell is this? I would like it if you could do the scene where he knocks on the bay door and the bay door just opens when he knocks on it. That'd be beautiful. Oh, and if nobody's on the ship, it's just creepy as hell.
I don't know. We could probably shortcut and just say everyone's on the ship and we're taking off unless there's something else to do. I mean, I just wanted to see whoever comes on the ship first is going to notice that there is another blinking red light very similar to the one Mirage got, except for this one seems to be blinking more insistent. Well, wait, hold up.
You said it was blinking? It's blinking. Yeah. OK, guys, there's a big button.
I'm going to press the button. OK, it's bright. That means it's important, right? Bones are hits the button and the image of the video image of the high commander pops up on the screen.
Mirage, I believe you were there for the last time. This time it's different. The high commander comes on and says, this is a high commander. We currently have a rogue agents in the Debbie Lecynites.
Fragmented desires is currently on some sort of air intermission. We know know know the information about what she's trying to do, but she's heading to Gampel-Tropolis and we're not sure what she plans to do there. She has abandoned one of her current missions, which is classified, unfortunately, but she decided to go to Gampel-Tropolis and that is the last of the information that we know. We need to figure out why she is going there, what she plans to do, and why she has abandoned us.
I personally am taking a ship out to Gampel-Tropolis as I have a few connections there. Nebula Snites and more specifically Bones down your team. Please meet me at Gampel-Tropolis as soon as possible. Fragmented desires is a threat to Nebula Snites.
I can't believe they gave her a degree. She's so boring. Don't start as much as the true distressful just can't answer. Oh, well, maybe we should.
OK, I'll type something up. I'll just send a message just like, Hey, I watched your show. It was great. I will do whatever we can to get to Gampel-Tropolis as soon as possible.
Sounds fun. We'll look for your rogue agent. Hey, Cody, would Morg also be getting this message on his comp? No, it seems like it got sent to the ship.
OK. So like inside baseball, Morg would probably be making his way back to the ship by now anyway, because groundwork was seeming a bit drained and taken back by everything. So he'd probably be going back to the ship to hang out for a bit. So he'll just show up.
I will still hear. We got like we're going to Gampel-Town, folks. Strip your shoes on. It's gonna be a fun one.
How many of you have been to Gampel-Tropolis before? I have, unfortunately. I haven't. But I haven't.
But I've read some of the comic books for Gampel-Man, and he seems like a pretty cool dude. He doesn't afraid of anything. Like I said before, more never trust anything you can read. Look, the fact of the matter is Gampel-Tropolis is a haven of dirtbags and scumbags, shitheads and murderers.
Watch your wallets. They all love me there. Yeah, it actually sounds like a pretty fun place. It rules, but I'm indestructible and you're extremely soft.
That place. The place is not fun. It will be. I'm just saying prepare for a larger amount of that.
Anybody have any questions before we take off? Yeah. Oh, yeah. Akita, schoolwork says hi.
I met with them briefly in the Med-Bage just to see how they were doing. And I met a god. Screen wipe. That's probably a good place to cut that off, to say Lord dump there.
I am going to do one last thing. It does seem like you guys after. So we're talking about going back to the carcass. Kind of left Gloria by the wayside.
We bring it with? Well, I'm going to ask Gloria. Sophie, do you think Gloria would have went with the rest of the crew onto the ship? I'm going to say that she's decided that she's just going to stay put and go back to work reluctantly.
Okay. It's not really looking to leave the planet. She's spent her whole life here and going to Gable Drop List doesn't sound like a good time. Okay.
I think we'll do a small scene where as Gloria you sort of like return to work, lattice work comes up to you. Latice work is one of the higher ups in sort of the workforce and lay approach you. Hey, Gloria, can I talk to you for a second? Sure.
What's up? How did things with the nights go? How did you learn anything? Bunch does a pretty crazy guy, huh?
Yeah, there's something else. They sure do know how to party good. I don't know. They seem like an all-right crew.
Maybe a little rain bunches, but they don't seem like they're up to nothing bad. Yeah, there was a few alerts that we had to sort of suppress. We knew you guys were going out there, so we knew things weren't in danger. Plus I think Bunch stopped off the joint, which...
You sure did. I gotta say, the most fun I have had in many years. Well, Gloria, let me tell you about that one time. It went to a me and Bone style, went to Gampel Traveless.
I mean, sort of puts an arm around you and leads you down the hallway, and that might be where... We scream white from that. With that, you guys all take off in the... ...Cargus.
A key to you find a location in the ship itself to sort of put your stuff away. There are plenty of rooms in this thing. It is pretty massive, but it has a small crew. I mean, because it's run by an AI, you go through some procedure to treat yourself to the AI and whatnot.
It sort of scans you and everything. Very intrusive. Very, very intrusive. But is there anything you guys want to do on the ship as your guys are headed to Gampel Traveless?
Uh, Morg will make the customary joke to Akita about how he's welcoming them to the skeleton crew. Hahaha. The AI plays a sad trombone. Wow.
So the AI I know was a player at that. I'm just saying Bone Star will be singing The Gambler by Kenny Rogers to himself while driving, but getting all the words wrong. Hahaha. Alright, so with this I would like every time we got into the carcass.
I like all of you guys to make your individual world, so we need a pilot, we need an engineer, we need a navigator. So, so, so, so, what are you making me a pilot role? Someone make me a pilot. I'm always the pilot unless otherwise stated because one star would literally start a fist fight over that.
And I'd say that he got a five. Morg will use craft for engineering. He got a good result, a plus three. I have a plus three will and I'm fine with doing the navigation if nobody else does.
Yeah, and I'm a no-law as well. So go for the marsh. Cool. That's a plus two overall with two minuses, a neutral and a plus.
Mirage is a bit distracted. They've had a lot going on and a lot on their mind. Alright, so you guys are just sort of sailing through the sector in the carcass. As you're sort of sailing through space, it takes you a few days.
Is anyone doing anything special during this sort of downtime break? Can I check out that data pad I got from Heckless? Well, backups. Yes.
You've had this for a little bit now, but it's been sort of overwhelming. All that's happened, sort of meeting Heckless again and then also finding another one of your species which you assumed you were the last one. So you check out the data pad. I'd like either a lower or not a lower roll, I'm sorry.
I would either I would like either a will roll for lessened effect or more. What have we been using for you accessing systems? For more specifically, we've been using well for accessing systems. I think just like a general parusal, I don't think you're gonna have a will at lessened effect.
You'll just use a straight will to sort of parse out all of the information. So go for me a will roll. Okay. That is a plus two title.
Alright. So as you're sort of checking on this data pad, you're just sort of skimming through it for the most part. It's not like a not like a super deep dive into it. One question.
How much do you trust Heckless? Probably not a look right deal. John after sort of looking through all of this data and whatnot, you find a few things. So first off, you find a list of other Son and Day on here.
There are most of them you don't recognize. You do see that both your name, his and his name are on here. Yep. Out of all of the Son and Day that you see on here, there's actually like a label on most of them.
They say safe. Some of them say compromised. Some of them say missing. And some of them say dead.
Okay. Are there any other like do I recognize any other names anyone from what would have been my plan? So after sort of looking through some of these, you do recognize this, my looking specifically for you, you do see because you asked that question specifically, you do see another person on there that you recognize. This was Fufo, an elder role model that you used to have.
And is what he listed as? He is listed as compromised. Okay. It also seems that I will also let you know that your label is compromised as well.
And his maze is labeled as safe. Okay. There also seems to be, as you sort of dig further into it, there are basically a large amount of data and information on the whereabouts and the going ons of a lot of the Sunday, which you recognize that you find yours pretty much right away. And it has a lot of information on what you've been doing ever since you left the homeworld.
And I think that I'm not sure about Sean, but having this much detailed information about what you've been doing, probably a little bit, you know, taken aback. Yeah. I think at that point, Sean would actually just have to take a break from doing this. I think at this point might be a good position to have a good quote unquote break for Sean as alarms start blaring in the carcass.
Oh, what's wrong? What's wrong? You don't have any flashy button? There are many flashy lights.
Ooh, wait, I'll buy lights or buttons. Lights. Okay. Well, I'm just going to kind of look around while driving and go, someone else get this.
You can still push them, but they won't do anything. I believe me. I tried. Full-hars are going off.
I think it would run up and like see if you can tell what is going on, like, or any of like, is the check engine light on or? I think as you run up to the, the basically piloting console as bone starts flying the ship, you notice that the bone star has, didn't see the big flashing light that says impact imminent. Oh, no. In fact, I'm going to say he's turned around in the pilot's chair going, guys, what's the deal with the alarm?
We need to get on as soon as possible, but I cannot take my attention off the screen. Okay, it is going to, Grand Bones starts chair, turn him around to like face like forward, like out towards like the windshield or the console or whatever. He's going to tell the bone star to just fly fast now. Go.
Oh, boy. To the side, not straightforward. Okay. Okay.
Good. The role. He will actually try to avoid the thing. Okay.
Go ahead, roll the A piloting, roll real quick. Okay. Even three. Even three.
Okay. As you're sort of like flipping switches, trying to like avoid stuff, like you look into like the main screen, there's nothing out there. You look in the detection system. It does seem like there is something out there, but the screen seems to be kind of staticky.
There's sort of like the little submarine radar, you know, little sonar kind of going on, this sort of like random pinging. But that doesn't seem like there's actually anything there, just staticky in the image. There's like ghost signals everywhere. Hmm.
Probably should use the ghost for this one. Spooky. This is actually the Halloween episode. I'm just going to look around and go, I don't see anything, guys.
What are we hitting? Speaking of which, everyone athletics check. Oh, we lean back and forth. Have the console.
I have such good news for you. What? I rolled four minuses. Oh, God.
And I believe that sets off my stunt. Oh, yes, I love that. I think it does. Okay.
So what did everyone get? Anyone who got above a three, nothing happens to you? If you got below a three, you take that much in physical damage. What if we got?
Five. Wow. Exactly a three. You take no damage.
Cool. But you have to wave back and forth for the camera as the camera shakes up and down and you lean at the console, but the console in front of you doesn't explode. So with that, all of your sort of rocked very hard. You're a bone star after getting sort of hit with this.
So your bones sort of jump in and have a little bit. God, that's probably not the best descriptor of it. But your bones get just jumbled up just like the cherry poppin' daddies. Your bones get jumbled up.
Your bones get shuffled and you let out a solar flare and more systems. Well, we may as well be walking on the sun. Your systems get fried. Okay.
I'm going to say a bunch of the bones that fell off also fell into like an air duct. So he's just like running around with that with maybe one arm and one leg. Okay. And it's going to make a rattling noise whenever the AC comes on.
It's horrible. Yeah. I can't pretend he's walking anymore. So the skeleton will just drag around behind his star.
Well, I mean, it's a good thing he's got spares. He does in the bone room. Oh, yeah. And he also got the metal arms and legs.
I'm going to say that fell down the vet. I'm going to say that. I'm going to say that. Oh, no.
The scriptures are like. So yeah, he'll look around and go, wow, that was a very impactful nothing. Oh, everyone else is perfectly fine, right? Yeah.
Yeah. I think it's a savage. He does work. We're more bashed his head, but then took an action to clear the mild physical consequence because he's a fast dealer.
He'll look shaken, but he's like all of his hair standing on end. Puffy boy. I was going to say the impact will morage from a nap at the communications slash, you know, navigation station. We need to go to the armory and get a key to tactical thunder shirt.
All right. So the entire ship seems to be rocked. You guys all sort of like stumbling over one another. Emergency lights come on.
There seems to be a set up where emergency distress speaking gets starts to get sent out from the console. It's just working on reserve power at this point. You only have you only have just bear life support systems working. Where's the power in the ship?
Where's the power in the ship held? Where's the sun and bone star? Because doesn't this doesn't the carcass have like a massive skull on it as well? It could.
I don't think I've ever designed that. So yeah, for sure. I would say that there's a big skull on the ship itself that probably looks like his face. Okay.
I think it's another like space, like a large space alien that you got most of the bones from. And I feel like that would be interesting if the core was sort of in there sort of the sort of the place where bone star has his like like the skull of a space dragon or a space whale or something like that. Yeah. That works.
I'm just gonna say, I'm gonna just see if I can sit in the reactor and turn this thing back on. You guys put some buttons or whatever you do. Orch is going to like work wasn't the engineering area to begin with. He's gonna like is there anything he can do from the I guess the engineering area may just be the giant skull room anyway.
Yeah, you might have to start pulling components out like components out and like replacing them a lot of the stuff is right. Oh, oh, oh, oh, the fuse bank looks like a rack of vertebrae. So more casting physically pull out vertebrae and replace them with other ones. All right.
So as you're sort of doing all this bone star, you get into the into the engine and the ship starts moving on its own. Okay, first you can use me as a power source? It well on its own as in it's not on its own power. It seems to be moving throughout space without you guys doing anything to interfere with it.
And we were grappled and or attractor beamed. I guess sitting in the reactor room, I'm gonna say to myself, well, I got that fixed pretty quickly and then go sit down in the reactor. Okay. There's a special part where you can go in and sit in the reactor.
Yeah, it looks like a beach chair. It comes the sun. So you sit in here and the rest of the ship gets pulled towards you guys don't know until there is a beep of the life support system where it says probably takes a little while, but there's a beef from the life support system and it says the outside air is breathable. Um, he's gonna look, is there like a windshield or anything or like windows?
I'm gonna say a lot of the stuff is sort of cameras to the outside. Yeah. There's no like straight and sports. Yeah.
So there would be or if there's no like power, then we can't really look outside, can't we? Yep. Or we can or no? Oh, I'm sorry.
Yes, as in like you can't look outside, unfortunately. Um, hey, Cody. Yeah. Uh, Mariah would like to reach out with her psychic senses to see if there are any other life forms aside from those on the ship that she can see.
All right. Go ahead. Roll me up that for me and describe to me how far you're reaching with this. Uh oh.
Uh oh. Uh, so I got a four overall one plus and three, um, zeros. Um, so I'm gonna try to do a media area first and then if there's nothing like keep branching out until I can detect something until I get to the maximum range that Mariah can do, however long that range is according to you. So you're reaching out with your mental capabilities and the first thing you come across is there is something outside.
Um, that's sort of a, uh, waiting, pensive sort of, uh, feeling that you're getting. Um, there is another, uh, creature or whoever is next to this person seems alert on attention. Uh, ready. Uh, there's another person next to them kind of similar, but they're a little bit more, you know, cockier and you're, you're sort of getting that vibe from them.
Uh, and then there's like the one right behind all of them that just seems like in penetrable, you know, whatever this mind is, is just a fortress. Can I look through the eyes of one of the first two to try and figure out what, uh, specifically the, the, like, you know, to figure out what kind of creature the third one is, but also to, to figure out where we are and what's going on. Uh, yeah, sure. You got a plus five, correct?
Uh, I got a plus four total. Plus four total? Okay. Uh, I'm just say you're gonna hit one of the, the, the sort of like alert, the cockier ones.
