Necromance - Chapter II : Evangeline

Chapter II : Evangeline When Ayleen could acknowledge her surroundings again, she rushed to the exit and tried to open the door but all the strength in the world wasn't enough, it wouldn't budge. She ran through the house, hoping to find a safe place, and found what seemed to be an altar. The room was empty and quiet, no more voices, no more fear ... She looked around and found an old cabinet, with salts, candles, stones and a small box of matches. They were old, very old, the jars were covered with dust and the matches were a bit humid. She prayed for them to still be able to burn. She lit the first match, the flame was crackling and weak but it would be sufficient to light the candles. It was cold, very cold, and the smell of sulphide seemed to have vanished, like any other scent … She felt secure and the signs were too numerous for her to ignore them. She had nothing to lose, she was trapped here and had no way to get out of this place. The door was locked and the windows were blocked by wooden planks. She turned to her Goddess, the one she had served for so long ... ... Evangeline … I belong to you my dear Goddess Beyond Death and the Uncanny Wake up, wake up, Sleeping beauty Evangeline ...
