King me. Welcome to King me, the Stephen King movie podcast. Officially, it's the official podcast of King me over the course of three hours instead of a tight 90. It's the official podcast of shooting yourself over a frickin Mickey Mantle baseball card that obviously was forged.

It's the official podcast of gettin of bettents on so many ponies that you modify your fishing vest. I'm Dan. I'm Rob. This is the official podcast of get a nice jacket from when you were a kid before you became a bum.

Before I was up. Before I was a bum. It's the official podcast of Don S Davis appreciation. Oh hell yeah.

You know, there remains that couple of lynch alums in this. We'll get to it though. We'll get to name even one other one. The other was it Father Mihan.

The two religious figures here, Reverend Rose, played of course by Don S Davis. And then Father Mihan, William Morgan Shepherd, who was Mr. Raindeer in Wild at Heart. He was the guy who was pulling all of the strings and he was on the toilet.

Ah, yes, okay. From the throne. Okay, very cool. Very cool.

Well, needful things, of course, a film we've discussed at length. Ah, yes, yes. But only half the length that we could discover. Yeah.

Because sometimes the movie can be three hours long. Sometimes you shoot twice as much usable footage as you need. Sometimes they come back and sometimes there's a lot more footage that you can come back to. And that's what they did here.

They increased the runtime by 50%. And it's what we're saying is it's much longer. It's so long that we watch. It's so goddamn long.

They call this the director's cut a bit of a misnomer because the director, Frasier C. Heston. See stands for Charlton. That's right.

Because it's Charlton Heston's son, Dan. That's crazy. Nebo. Nebo ass Frasier.

Oh, man. Yeah, go on. Yeah, go ahead. You got something for Nebo Frasier?

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Let's hear it. While I was watching this, I was like, let's poke around online, you know, check out what is this.

And before I even found out that it was Heston's son, I was like, I was already working on my Frasier Heston. What does that sound like? Oh, right. I think it would sound a little like this.

It sounds very similar. Get your hands off me. Damn dirty dog. My god, Niles.

There we go. A Bordeaux. I like that we did in the halibut. Yeah.

My god, Niles. Definitely. Yeah. But yes, this is, and then if you look up this guy's credits, he's directed a couple other movies and a couple of them.

Star Charlton Heston, Daddy. Dad, will you be in my movie? Papa? Oh, why is he?

Papa? Worned up. Daddy? He was also the infant Moses in the Ten Commandments from 1956.

He played Baby Heston. Wow. That's a fucking guy. That's, uh, did he peak?

That's an infant? So in 1990, he directed a TV movie Treasure Island with Charlton Heston. Then in 1991, he directed the Crucifier of Blood. Crucifier.

Crucifier. Crucifier. Crucifier of Blood. Good luck, Charlie.

Nailing Blood to a cross-rub. You're right. Good luck. But Charlton Heston plays Sherlock Holmes in that movie.

And that, I am kind of interested to see how Heston does Holmes. Well, you go ahead and let me know. Oh, well. Written by Paul Gio Vani, different guy.

Wait, what if he write? The Crucifier of Blood, of course. Oh, OK. We don't need to be talking about the Crucifier of Blood.

All right. This movie, though, Needle Things was written by Stephen King and W.D. Richter. Steve Fullkings.

What else is this? Do you ever say something and worry that you said it on the last time you talked about the movie on the podcast? 100%. Yeah, but I mean, that was nine years ago, Dan.

We can't possibly remember. And there's no way I'm going back. I did try to re-listen to it. And as soon as I heard my voice eyes shut it off.

Well, you actually, you can just go through, luckily, our buddy Diego has pulled all the good spots to timestamp them. So you can just listen to the good parts. Well, good. I mean, you always know one man's opinion of the good parts.

Personally, I can't endorse anything that's happened on the show. No. I'm going to stop less. What else?

What else about this here? What else? Jesus. Jesus.

What else? Who's in this, Dan? And what is our beef with the devil? Rob, I think it would take a little bit less time to talk about who's not in this.

Ah. This is what we call an ensemble. It is a bit of a song. A lot of people in this.

One of them is Max von Seidel. Sure. Max von Seidel plays Leland Gaunt. Hey, Leland.

Where are you talking about Leland Stautomayer? I was talking from Monk. That's what I was talking about. I was of course talking about Leland Palmer.

That's not all the lynched up all in my brain. Yeah, sorry. I'm back to Ted Levine. No, no, that's fine.

You've already shifted gears. No, I'm not. I stopped wiping your hands, Monk. It's fine.

It's just guys only telling Monk it's fine. Monk, stop wiping the blood off the body. Monk, that's evidence. Who else?

We got King alum, Ed Harris. King alum from the last time we talked about this film. Yeah, everybody's a king alum because we talked about this. No, he was in Creepshow.

He was looking like a snack in Creepshow. That's what I remember about his performance in Creepshow. Yeah, I mean, you look great. I think he looks great in this too.

When he's on that boat, when he's working on the boat and he's got that big sweater, that big fisherman's cable knit sweater, looks like a fucking stud. Rob, there's no one I'd rather be than a guy wearing loafers, no socks. Well-worn jeans and a big cable knit sweater, looking on a stupid boat called the Pequod. Both that would probably just sink if it moved at all.

Yeah, as soon as you get out of the harbor, it's going to sink. Yeah, right. It's like what experience does a man from Pittsburgh have with a big boat like that? He's got those pits on a river.

Yeah, but he doesn't know the mighty ocean. No, he doesn't. He's like, where's the big wheel with paddles on it to put it down the river? Where are all the casino games?

Who is this? Games of chance. This Poseidon fellow that I've been hearing so much about. Sounds like a problem.

If only that should have been the climax, you should have summoned Poseidon to fight Leogon. You should have. Great bat. What's that show on the History Channel where they have a samurai fight, an alkita in search of it?

Who would win? You're describing hundreds and hundreds of YouTube channels that exist. Is that right? Those are on YouTube now?

Yeah, they do. What if a samurai would fight Freddy Krueger? I think it would go like this. And then they have whatever AI generated thing happen.

How you got bitch? That's it, Freddy Krueger was a samurai. His gloves, his knife hand, it's like five samurai swords. I can't lift my hand, bitch.

It's too heavy. It's too fucking heavy, bitch. What was I going to say? Poseidon versus the devil who you got.

Fire versus water. It's got to be Poseidon. Well, yeah, I mean, fire versus water. You got to go Poseidon.

But man, in a land battle, I don't know. It's on its own. Yeah, it's coastal New England. Right.

So that, yeah, I mean, I guess I got to go Poseidon. Poseidon just washes away the whole town. Start over. The devil.

I mean, he'd go back to the end of Georgia or whatever he's going to do. That's where he should have come. It is so funny. I got to give this movie credit for having Max von Seidau be like, I am from Akron, Ohio.

I can't do it. I can't do it on Seidau. Let's say it's very deep. It's very deep and bitch European.

I don't know. I'm going to go get it. So there's some while you work it out. Yeah.

So match von Seidau versus Ed Harris. Yep. Oh, we also got, well, of course we got Bonnie Badelia who is taking a lot. Okay.

Alum. Bonnie Badelia from Salem's Lot. That's right. You want to talk about it?

She can't stop finding herself in situations exactly or kind of like Salem's Lot. No, I know. She always ends up on the wrong end of a demon of some sort. Yeah.

Every time a guy moves to town, a weird guy moves to town and opens an antique store. She's like, I got to get me a piece of that. Yep. Yeah.

There's something about antiques that really revs her engine. I don't know. I guess so. Bonnie Badelia plays Poly Chalmers, the arthritic love interest of Ed Harris' Sheriff, Alan Pangborn, also a King alum.

Yeah. Kind of. Pangborn was in the Dark Half, Yuckle Rooker. He's also in Castle Rock, the TV series.

We don't need to talk. We don't need to talk about that. Blah. Okay.

Amanda Plummer. Amanda Plummer is in this. She's a, I would call her a Dan alum because she's an so-amaring next murderer. That's like an honorary King alum in the sense that we both have fondness for it.

I'll tell you, she's a Fisher King alum. I don't know if that counts or anything. She's in the Fisher King. That's right.

I don't think that counts for anything. All right. Well, listen, as you decide. She plays Nettie.

We got JT Walsh here. Just absolutely fucking love everything he's doing in this movie. Oh, yeah. You got to, there's one guy who gets to eat as much scenery as he wants.

That's right. Or at least chew it. What's up with JT Walsh? Why is he spreading barbecue sauce on the set?

Because he's about to fucking chew that bitch up. He's about to feast, brother. Love JT Walsh. What else?

What else? Who else? Well, we mentioned William Worry and Shepherd and Don S. Davis as our sort of spy-vers spy clergyman.

Yeah. I really like that they're just two different kinds of Christian, not anything outside of that. Just the Catholic and Protestant. Baptist or whatever.

Maybe it's Baptist. Well, that's a type of Protestant, right? Oh, I have no idea. I don't really either so much.

But love that for them. I did want to point out. Ray McKinnon, who plays Deputy Norris, is also a King alum. He's in the very beginning of the stand.

He's the guy who really messes it up for the entire world. He's the guy who gets his wife and kid together and leaves the base and spreads the down virus. You know who else he is? Who?

He's the reverend who goes insane in Deadwood. He has the brain tumor or whatever. Yeah. He's so good on that.

He's very good. That's a perfect show. What am I doing our Deadwood series? You really want to do Deadwood.

Yeah. Yes, I do. We could call it Pod Suckers. Like, Hog Suckers.

Pod Suckers. The Deadwood recap podcast. It's actually a good one. I know.

You know exactly what I'm doing. And Ray McKinnon's real life wife is in this movie. Lost it. She is a boy's mom.

Oh. Yeah. Goddamn. Cora.

The woman who Lisa Blout. They have to blout falls in love with an Elvis statue. That's Rayne. She's got a big Elvis thing.

So I guess that's normal. Not. She's also a alum of the bonus show. She was in John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I think there was another couple on set here.

Maybe not. It doesn't matter. So, Dan, this is not like a movie I really think about at all. Honestly, as I was watching it, I was just like sand through my fingers.

I was just struggling to retain anything. It is weird. Like I don't think it's a bad movie at all. Honestly, I think all the performances are pretty solid.

They go from like, you know, pretty like far out there, like the JT Walsh or even Amanda Plummer is pretty far out there. But I don't know. I think it is fun though. It is.

By the end of it, when everything reaches a fever pitch, like it's very like, I don't know, it's like kind of a sleeper Stephen King movie, you know? It's totally. I think it's a quality movie. I, you don't mind the sort of, because I kind of feel like it's not sure tonally what it wants to be here.

Sometimes things are very important. Like, I know Ed Harris, like that character shouldn't be having fun per se, but like he's treating this like the devil is real and this town is real and this all really matters. Yes. And not everyone else.

Maybe no one else is doing that. Yeah. So I don't know. Maybe that's like, maybe that kind of works too.

Because he's like the one sort of like moral man in town. Yeah. The one, fuck with the devil. I'll fuck with the devil, man.

Yeah. It's, it definitely has a weird tone to it because some of the shit is like very, like, I mean, it's silly. It's like the scene where the two women kill each other with knives and a hatchet or me cleaver. That's like silly.

It's like, you know, horrific, but also the way it all happens is kind of silly. Would you say it's darkly comedic? Mm. Dan, I think I would say that about it.

I think I would too. I'm laughing, but I'm like, is this okay? Not be laughing. I know.

I'm kind of a sick puppy. So I keep that woman away from me so she doesn't shoot me in the head and throw me in the ditch. But me texting my therapist on BetterHelp as I'm watching this just being like so funny. Is anything like a bigger indication that everything has fallen apart that like, like nothing, like we have nothing anymore?

Is anything a bigger indicator than like BetterHelp? Like sure, text your therapist, whoever they may be, wherever they may be, and get some sort of, it's a subscription base. It'll cost you $150 a month. But with that, you get some sessions.

And then if you want, you can add on for additional fees, you know, caring. And instead of, and if you're a, say, a health, you know, like a provider here, you are now a door-dash driver, instead of picking up food, you pick up the worst things that have ever happened to people that you'll never meet face-to-face. Yeah. And by the way, this service is called BetterHelp.

Yeah. Oh man. Bleak. Bleak shit.

Anyway, this episode is brought to you by TalkSpace. Were you just looking up whatever the alternative to BetterHelp was? Look, I was, I was vamping until I remembered it, but I did remember it on my own. Nice.

Gotta give it up for me. Give it up for Dan. Check out the big brain on him. So Dan, this movie, the other thing that I think is interesting about the three hour cut versus the two hour cut is that I can't tell the difference of like what's new and what's not.

Rob, I had the exact same experience. Like, so when we talked about the lawn mower man directors cut, I feel like I, not having seen the lawn mower man in a while, I felt like I had a much better sense of like what was new information. 100%. I mean, because there's such big swings.

It's like, oh, the first 15 minutes are about cybe man. Yeah. Much more golden eye perspective of a monkey with a gun. Yes.

What happens to his wife? She gets gunned down in this version. Okay. All right.

Yeah, she's a so this though, it's like, first of all, I remembered all of none of it. Yeah. So it just, it all felt new, but yeah, I don't know. Like, there was nothing like I also remembered nothing from this movie.

And yeah, even though like in the opening of this movie, it's at Harris, Alan Pangorn and Deputy Norris, they're trying to get Norris's car to work and it opens with this car chase with like, that was all new, right? It's all that's all new. That does not happen at all. Like the first 15 minutes of this movie do not, it just like the theatrical cut picks up like, what's his name?

Gaunt is already in town and has just opened up the store. Like this finally answers the question of how do you get there? I got it fast. Yeah.

It was fast and here's a bit of a price. Perhaps too fast. Yeah. Yeah.

So yeah, it's this extended car chase like so much stunt driving shots of like car, you know, like a shi-y old cop car, like doing a donut in the middle of the street. And the whole, it's, it's really gone in his sort of, you know, put it in terms of most people will understand. It's his nose for a to car. Sure.

Evil old like Mercedes or whatever. Yeah. It's like, yeah, it looks like it's also like a tank. Like it looks so like sturdy and strong.

Yeah. It is a Mercedes, right? It is a Mercedes. Yeah.

And that's a German, maybe it's Hitler's car. Oh, it's probably Hitler's car. Yeah. Well, he knows Hitler.

He does know Hitler. He kept some of his favorite newspaper clippings of Hitler's. Yes. That is such a funny trope.

Yes. We'll, we'll list these out eventually. But the trope of finding the trove of just like, yeah, trophies or whatever. Yeah.

And also when it's like all these world historical events and then two ladies kill each other in small main town. Yes. The stakes seem like they used to be a lot higher than they are now. Yeah.

Also, yeah, the whole, the ending or towards the end, I think, Leland and an Allen are having like a face to face like fight or whatever. And Leland says something about the Holy Trinity and him being like, you know, I got this Holy Trinity to deal with kind of a thing, but they let me, they let me dabble. They let me like fuck with small towns and they don't get upset about it or whatever. And like, what about like the Nazis and the Holocaust and all that kind of stuff.

So they were like, do they have to rein you in? Was that like too far? And then they, the Holy Trinity maybe had to pull you aside and say, you can't do that anymore. Stick to small towns.

It does feel like like the limits of Stephen King's understanding of politics, you know, sure. Right. Where he's like, America, I guess is America's its own planet as far as he can tell. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. No, it's the logic. The logic is not so good.

I mean, is the idea that like the devil has essentially been beaten, but he just gets to blow off steam like the Babadook. Is the devil the Babadook? Is the devil the Babadook? See, all those words.

So this, this like black Mercedes is flying all over this like this coastal highway, whatever. Alan is chasing after him. Eventually the hit a curve, the Mercedes goes off the road rolls, catches fire and then wait, Marcy rolls. I thought you said it was a Mercedes.

Ah, very good. Very good. I'm the devil. Yeah.

That's a little bit of a devil. And then Alan, he gets out. He's looking at the fire and through the flames. He can make out like a person, but he can't see the guy's face.

And the car explodes. That's a fucking thing. And that's an old fucking thing. Absolutely.

Yeah. He has the deputy like look for a body. There's no body like all of this stuff there. Like we don't really talk about the car, that car exploding ever again.

Like I think at one point he may bring up like you ever find out who was it? And they're always like, no, it's like, all right. He keeps not following up on stuff. Like he writes Leelen's name down and a note to himself that says look into it.

Yeah. Like very early into this movie. And it's not until everyone has been like devil pranked and people are like everyone in town now has a blood feud with somebody else in town that he's like, this reminds me. Yeah.

And Aaron I've been meaning to run. Yeah. And from there, like we we get to meet some of the town folks, right? Our colleagues are what would you call these?

What's another way of saying town folk? Oh, these townies. It's better. It's like we're about to profile some of them when you say most definitely better open up the old town.

He profile. Here we go. Here comes Big Bad Bad. Wonder how much they pay for it up the comments.

Ride, poos, and baseball. That's just about to find a smell in the world. So maybe they're poosy. They don't cut me outside.

And they probably won't have a phone there either. Looney, looney, looney. What is it that you want, aren't you? I want some rhino.

The last town report said you were in arrears in your taxes, Andy. They're not as hard. They're just starting. I guess I'll never be lucky.

Hell, I have married to anyone. Ladies and man, let's make us a baby doggy style. Where's your wife from? Honey?

She got money. She doesn't because she likes. Oh, she doesn't because she likes it. Oh, the rest of the teddy bears.

Lion and coffee. Sweet children have gapped on her chain, but over. Bingo. It's just like the one I used to have in Iceco when I was a rock.

But I got the cancer and she got the change. So I knew there was all that fun to live with. Soak's got that. That is really good.

Yeah. Welcome to the Towney Profile. This is Towney Profile where we profile the townies of, well, mostly Castle Rock, Maine. Yeah, a lot of it is only Castle Rock.

Castle Rock, of course, a city of 400,000. A small Maine city with seemingly infinite. Well, they all die off every few years, don't they? Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Then there's a new crop of Castle Rock residents. Dan, this is the only movie produced by Castle Rock that takes place in Castle Rock. That can't be right. 77 people found that interesting.

78. This is a weird movie to talk about because mostly it is just people sort of being like, hey, did you fucking throw apples through my window? Hey, just in my book. Did you skin my dog?

Yeah, just skin my dog. It's also very fun to think about like, oh, this guy wanted this drunk in town who's like, I guess, whatever been a drunk for most of his life. He wants his high school jacket so bad that he will kill and skin a dog. And everybody everybody in town has a thing like that where they're like, oh, well, I really wanted this little clown statue.

So I had to kill this person or set their house on fire or whatever. Rob, but these are just totems of deeper desires. Yeah, of course. So stop being a smart ass.

No, I know. I'm kidding. By all means. Oh, by all means.

Oh, please, by all means, please, smart ass. No, I, I, on this watch, I don't know if I felt this way the first time because it's a long ago, not revisiting. But it's, I kind of wanted a little bit more in the way of like, you know, what is gone to doing to these people to make them do it? Or like how, you know, the thing, obviously all of these things that the people want are, you know, only important to them, you know, like netty with like a little fucking clown statue or babysat, whatever the fucking is.

Like nobody else gives a shit about it. Obviously that's very specifically for her. But, and we get like, each one of these people, they get like a little flashback or like something, some sort of a memory or connection to the thing, whatever the object is. But, I don't know, for me, there was just something missing there.

Like, okay, yes, I also had things that I would like to have now. But like, I need one more step. Why are you going to draw blood here for, you know, whatever dumb thing you want? Yeah, honestly, I feel like the little flashback things undercut what's supposed to be happening here because you got to like, as the actor, sell that in the performance that like this means so much to you that you do anything for it.

And like, I kind of, I kind of accept it like, you know, with stuff like the little clown statue, I think it could be a lot clearer. Why that's sure quite so important. I guess it's like this symbol of like going back to a time before she married her shithead husband who she had to kill to get away from. Right.

But it's like, I think that's like way, that's less tangible than like, I'll cure your arthritic hands. Yeah, yeah. Right. And like, yeah, that's the thing.

Like, some things it's like very tangible, like, you know, Dan Keaton also. It's like, I'm going to make back all the money you lost Ben on the ponies. Yeah. But then for the boy, Brian, it's just like, or yeah, my favorite being Father Me and where it's like, I'll give you the Holy Grail from the Bible.

Yeah. It's just like, I'm going to give you this card that reminds you of your dad who bailed on you. And it's like, the game he's remembering was like decades before he was ever born. So it's like, right.

We're doing your wheel here. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to give that boy.

Also, it's like, you're going to give that lady just an Elvis statue. What's going on there? Doesn't have like a big, uh, dildo sticking out of it. I'm scared.

Fuck that statue. It's not even a vibrating Elvis statue. Yeah. Yeah.

Hair falling out. Yeah. Yeah. Just being like real gross about like the fact that like, I have to like the body, but the thing, the arthritis, that's like, that makes sense to me.

But like, um, well, you know what? I mean, like the intention makes sense. But the fact that it's like through this necklace or whatever, that does not make any sense. I got it.

You know, you have to establish rules and I feel like this kind of like bounces around as far as like, you know, here are the rules to like Leland Gaunt and what he does and, you know, whatever. That makes sense? I don't know. Yeah.

That makes sense. Yeah. Uh, Brian, uh, the boy is the first one in town to fall victim to Gaunt when he goes in and yes, he wants a baseball car because it reminds him what first, Leland is like, what, you know, if you could have anything, what, what would you want? And he's like, well, my dad and he's like, Leland's like, all right, well, what else?

Get out. Get out. Get out my store. Yeah.

First one out of the gate and he's just like, no, send me like a, send me like a poor person or something. You know, poor people get one of them and you're, you get out. Yeah. Do you know any, uh, gamblers that are desperate send them my way?

Uh, but then he's like, oh, you know, like this Mickey Man, a baseball card, me and my dad, we used to collect baseball cards. We had all of them except for this Mickey Man, one and you know, it's a very expensive, uh, $650. Yeah. And the kid only had, he has less than a dollar on him and he's like, gaunt is like, oh, this, this pays for half of it.

This 95 cents. And then let's call the other half a favor. And yeah, at first, like the first favor is just like this, having this boy throw mud and gooshed at the sheets, this woman's sheets that she's hanging outside. Yes.

But like right off the bat, she's a, she's the turkey farm, the town turkey farmer. She has a town, very powerful woman, very powerful in a small town. Uh, whoever controls the turkeys controls everything. Yes.

Uh, he who controls the turkeys controls the universe, the turkey needs to. Yeah. The turkey must flow. Uh, the gravy must flow.

There we go. There it is. Um, well, like, you know, that's the other funny thing to do about this is like, okay, for the, this old man is talking to this boy and he's like, all right, I'll take the dollar. And then why don't you do me a, like, uh, I know I'm new in town, but why don't you play a practical joke on this?

Yeah. I know one just respected a little prank. Just a little prank. That's kind of playing view.

Yeah. That's a bit playing view. Max one playing view. But like with the kid, it sort of makes sense, you know, but like as it goes on, like, you know, uh, having, what, nanny hang up a bunch of like parking tickets or whatever, citations.

That one's just preposterous. Yeah. It's preposterous. At what point are people like, you know, has anyone ever walked into the needful things antique store and been like, Oh my God, I really want this, you know, uh, commemorative, uh, dish that I used to have when I was a kid.

I have so many memories attached to this and all this stuff. And then Leland is like, I will give it to you for a favor. And the person just like, no, I would just like to either pay for this with money or not at all. Yeah.

What if he's like, I need, I will give it to you. If you go smear goose shit on the turkey shit on the turkey farmer's sheet. They're like, no, and I'm going to go tell them you told me to do that. Yeah.

Oh, I am not going to do that. See, this is what I mean. Like there has also sort of a, your fingernails are crazy. Yeah.

Sorry. I just feel like there has to be some sort of like a more persuasive thing. Like even if it's like, I should have called this persuasive things and it changed the movie. Yeah.

Yeah. Like, you know, uh, gaunt like stares into their soul or something or like when he hands them the thing and we get that weird sort of electrical shock that happens to these people. There has to be some sort of a like visible change in them that makes them want to, you know, commit silly pranks and you know, stir up some shit. They're, I should roll back in their head and they should walk with their arms out in front of them like Frankenstein's.

Yeah. They should, they should do that. Yeah. We need this better movie.

So one needs to tell Stephen King that Frankenstein's are also scary. Yeah. So many needs to tell Stephen King that Frankenstein's sell. All right, baby.

He thinks he's for Frankenstein's. He literally thinks he's too good for it. That's the thing. That is.

Yeah. Has he ever done a Frankenstein? I guess it's kind of a, a Frankenstein thing, right? Like just bringing the dead back to life.

Right. Yeah. That kind of it. Well, you have to sew the body parts together too.

Do you hear my goak? No, I missed. I'm sorry. You said it's that kind of it.

And I said, no, it's the clown. Oh, it's the clown. No, I'm just kidding. Pennywise is clown.

I was just getting a whole thing. I think we're both here. Yeah. I don't know.

It's Stephen King. Stephen King do even one Frankenstein challenge. Yeah. Guys will literally write about anything else but Frankenstein instead of writing about Frankenstein.

And that's true because Mary Shelley wrote Frankenstein. I know. She's a Chica. Yeah.

That's right. She's the OG scary Chica. She's a scary Chica. All right.

What was she like 19 when she wrote that too? Something. Is that right? Yeah.

Something like that. Well, man, imagine it's so easy to imagine her getting on a bus and the bus driver being like, Hey, you better watch out. There's some real weirdos around here. And her saying, I am the weirdo mister and I have the manuscript to prove it.

Yeah. She sounds really hot too. I think. What's the name?

Mary. All right. Sounds like a dam. What is she?

A damn Bruce Springsteen character? Oh, Mary. The fakteries gone. Oh, Mary.

Yeah. My car wheel fell off. Oh, man. I fucking love this right now.

You love this? Yeah. It sounds like a new Springsteen song I'm listening to here. I'm in.

Is that off of Nebraska? Sounds like Nebraska. I wrote Springsteen. Yeah.

I'm listening to me off in Nebraska. It's not even close. Okay. So in the movie, Needful Things, we learn.

Yeah. We learn Nettie's a little weirdo. Amanda Plummer really playing against. Against typing.

Just kidding. By against typing, I mean, she doesn't usually have a main accent. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Nettie, Amanda Plummer, she will buy any of the dailies, Paulie sends her over to Needful Things with a cake or a pie and Nettie, she has a dog, a rottweiler with her that she takes with her everywhere. And we already see a conflict brewing between her and Wilma, of course. Wilma controls a turkey in town.

She's a bit of a turkey baron that way. She's a bit of a turkey baron. She's a baron turconan. Okay.

She is. No, she is. You're being about this, but she is. Nettie brings a pie over and she sees a little statue and she's fixated by it.

Hi. I like that. I like that little statue right over there. That's very good.

That's a good, Amanda Plummer. Yeah. Amanda Plummer with a... Does anybody know how to do an impression of Amanda Plummer with a main accent?

Anyone? Anyone at all? That's cheap, Stanley. I think I've got one.

It's like the NASA. All right. Here's what we have and they just lay it out and say we got a picture of Amanda Plummer and a picture of me and they're like, make it work. And you're like, you get the big clear board.

It's not white board. It's clear though. And you're like, hey. Yeah.
