Nehemiah #11 - Keep the Sabbath Holy

When work and leisure take control, rest itself can leave people restless. God blessed the seventh day so human life would include delight in His creation and fellowship with Him and His people. Nehemiah therefore shut Jerusalem’s gates against Sabbath trade, yet Jesus says the Sabbath serves people rather than ruling them. Holy rest needs thoughtful planning, not rigid rules.
