Nehemiah #8 - Repentance

Forgetting who God is drains peace and joy from daily life. In Nehemiah 9, Israel answers that danger by confessing its rebellion and retelling God’s faithful mercy through its history. Honest repentance accepts blame, remembers that every good gift comes by grace, and asks according to God’s character. Sin is a deeper slavery than their burden under Persian rule.
