A Holy Discontent Leads to Persecution Nehemiah 4:1-20 Summary of Nehemiah 1-3 Nehemiah Prays Nehemiah Plans Nehemiah Prepares Nehemiah rallies the People We need to prepare our hearts for persecution that will come. The first form of persecution will be criticism, ridicule & open mockery. Persecution comes in order to discourage so you won’t fulfill what God has called you to. When God calls something to be, the only response is obedience, despite the persecution that may come. Nehemiah does two things simultaneously as persecution comes; he prays and defends. In light of persecution prepare your heart for attacks from the inside. The holy discontent the Lord has given us to repair what is broken is bigger than any of us.
