Nepotism is as American — and historic — as apple pie

St. Louis County Councilman Dennis Hancock recently faced scrutiny after he sought to hire his stepdaughter as his assistant. The Missouri Constitution prohibits nepotism and it’s been frowned upon throughout American history.
