Why do I love the characters and stories of the X-Men so much? When I collected comics in my youth, I amassed a nearly 200 issues straight run of the Uncanny X-Men which included some of the most iconic storylines in Marvel Comics history, as well as numerous X-Men adjacent titles. Something about these characters and the themes of being an outsider, accepting those who are different from us, and battling your own inner demons really spoke to me.
