We are looking for the like the comedy side of power as well. So you haven't noticed by the look and everything. We are tackling Beatle Juice. A lot of different podcasts and have Beatle Juice with the release of Beatle Juice 2.
We thought we'd be a bit different and do it a month after the release. Just so that we're not on trend. Because we're not on that page. We're not.
We did it for monsters when Beatle Juice 2 came out. Honestly, this is just how shit my memory is. And all what we do in advance. I actually helped put this all together.

But the advertising and the marketing for this was out of this world. Especially for the 80s. Like literally this was everywhere. And I didn't say it with cinema because I was too young.
But I think I think it was one of those white band man jobs where the video tips we got and we saw. I'm in the van. And I'm done a video man around Pennywise. What?
The one of his popcorn. Hey. My biggest memory for this. Because back in the day as well, when we used to have four channels.
And then we got five. This was one of the big movie premieres a year and a half after this. And then it was like, that's how long we had a week if you didn't get on video. It was when, like I said, the TV channels made a big deal.
When you used to get a big movie. Yeah. And I remember being too as being advertised for at least a month before it was actually aired. And the excitement about this movie.
It was again, a lot of different things happened about this movie. And there's not a different movie come out. It's a semi-type at all. But this was so different.
So original from what we've seen like this. This started a career as like nothing before. Like I know Tim Bernat was this guy before? Sis a half.
Sis on first. Massively. Came up before then. So I do know a little bit.
I do remember a few little facts and one and just the basically the start and of this. So but you don't. Like I said in months, you don't have this movie. If P.E.
Herman's big adventure didn't go all the way that it did. Because Burton would have just been a backshelf director and he would never have gotten this. But coincidentally, it worked out. P.E.
Herman was a huge success. And he gets not only Bethel juice at the same time. He got Batman at the same time. He got both of them.
And it paid off for him. That's all I really can remember. And what he really did get off from. But this is why you've got Keaton in board.
This because and I don't know which way it goes first. Was it okay? I know I'm from Batman. Let's bring him to Bethel juice or is it a Bethel juice to Batman.
I don't know where that because it's one of them he brings them to. And I can't remember which one it is. He's obviously loyal to actors and actresses or two loyal at times. He just repeats the same actors and actors in every fucking film.
But sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. That's the thing. And we might have any questions with Bethel juice because I know Tim Burton has a reputation.
He likes to put his name on things where he does direct and he doesn't show up. Then he's sure for this one. Just ask him. Yes.
Yes. This is 100% him. We are no burdens. A bit of a stick left for that.
But no, this is very, very much all him. All him and Keaton naturally worked very much hand in hand with Burton to create. Like Bethel juice is Michael Keaton. There's nobody else came in and said this is how you're meant to be.
These are what we want you to amort but we're not. They didn't really script him. This is 100% Keaton improv and the creation, the design, everything comes from his mind. It's not burdens.
It's his. And then obviously the great V Neil creates a masterpiece that's on his face. And I don't even want to get started on the second one because that's all. So, can you what was your first experience with the juice?
Fucking hell. This is basically my first timber in injection really. That's how I feel. It was basically like tinder to the flame.
That was already there. I remember watching this. Oh God, so I came out in the night. So obviously a little bit about it.
I actually watched it at an age where you shouldn't really be fucking watching people just to be honest. You know what I mean? But even like, look, I thought you were going on half the time. You know what I mean?
I think it's only quite recently that I've seen the Virgin when he goes, nice fucking model. And maybe she must have like a kitchen. But I don't know what these are the same way they had jokes for children but had jokes for adults as well. If you go back and I know everyone's going to like this, the Goonies.
I remember seeing the Goonies a few years ago because I used to always just watch the TV, or if you watch the DVD or Blu-ray. The swear words in it like chunks of shit. I was like, where the fuck did the Goonies swear? Like, there was a silly swear and it blew my mind.
It was always funny when we watched the Goonies in our house. Because if it was on ITV, we always knew the stiff joke was going to get taken out. And then when you watch the version that it has it in, you get really excited and wait for that line to come. It's a stick.
It's not even a swear word. It's just that you always knew it was that one bit that was going to get taken out of. I said, I'm going to be. Anticipation.
I'll try to look for this photograph as a photograph and it must have been Christmas 1990s or I would have been before. And it was me with a native Barbie and a beat with the head. The beat with actions to go where the head came off. There he is.
There is my zombie shelter. And I'm like, like, suitably demonic with the red eye going on. So yeah, it was something that really caught my weird morbid interest because even as a child, I was like, I don't know a lot of people being talked about air watching threads of late. When I was four, I was watching when the wind blows and watching two little old people dying.
It was a beautiful program ever. I thought it was great. I didn't understand it. But so I wasn't a bit weird anyway, but this, not only did you have the film, which, yeah, a little bit of scary and stuff.
And I would say, like, I mean, my son who's a six, he's watching it. I think it's a target. It was the stuff that came on the back of it, the anime series, was fucking mints. You had the comic for fucking Penny Wells shots.
That was fucking mints. It's like, nidya aspirations were on date with me. Like, it's just like, it's just fucking mint. When I just saw her and I was just like, do you know what I was?
They had like, you and me, right? It was because at that time, there was a lot of, like, especially, it was like, blonde, but then, like, it was a lot. But then they started bringing out different ones. I think we had Heathers, like, come up the volume, like, all the alternatives of all people.
So it's not being, like, not just in the background or my little friend type thing. It was like, on the forefront, like, showcase and, like, people can be different. Yeah. As the last boys, people could be strange.
Yeah. Um, what were you, what was your first experience with people? Just because it seems to resonate quite a lot with you. Maybe you're already better in that.

No, I, uh, I was born in 88, moving to about 89. By the time I was, um, probably five or six, I was a total fanatic. Absolutely obsessed with the film. Um, like a lot of things in the late 80s, early 90s, I was just kind of left my own devices and like, as long as she's quiet and, you know, watch whatever tape you want.
Plus, I got older brother that could sneak stuff from me. It also helped. But, um, I became super obsessed. I also had a couple of the action figures.
Um, I had one where you could take his head off and it was the shrunken head underneath, which I loved that one. Um, and I had, I had the, uh, the carousel head one as well. I was seeing them. Did you, did anyone have the, did anyone have the grave?
Like, I'm a graduate of the, we had a, uh, a hundred toy grave. Well, yeah. Hell, it is. You had the, you had the big, you had the big, the two's grave.
Now you could put the, the figure in, you'll close it and pull the sign. And it's like a magic trick because when you call it open again, those are, those are the things that are shrunk. Can't even read those in a mind. Oh, it's incredible.
Why did I wear, why did I wear eyeliner, Ferric Kelly, have the sort of, what was that thinking? Oh, you've seen it. It's all we've done, we've done. It's, it's.
So could you, so that's that right, Nis? Yeah. Well, as you all said, the toy, the all the, like this, this was height of the eighties. Like anything that came out that they thought we can mark it and make a movie, they make money from.
Like, um, I think it was Robocop toys. There was two toys, Martin for kids, by the way. Um, and these are all the big things. I think the big thing was, I think the toys followed, chef, the movie, but when the car room came out, that's why it exploded quite a lot, quite big thing.
Um, I think the room is, I don't know how true it is that they are looking to re-do or re-bring out the car room as well. Uh, I still don't think about that. Yeah, yeah. I don't know how I feel about the, I mean, I like the cartoon as a kid.
Sorry, Kelly. I really loved it. But looking back at it, I'm like, why are they friends? Yeah.
She's like 15. Oh my gosh, she's watching the Max isn't it? It's so naughty. It's so funny.
You can fucking zombie-sabble hanging out with this goth teen. But that's the... Oh yeah? That's in essence, that's what Jimmy's about.

Don't you know this character with that absolute monster? And I'm saying that against a genuine monster character. One thing, why I love this movie as well. And again, I watched it today, and it's half sleepy, half just doing 15 million things at once.
I'll just put it in the background, I'll just pick up the things, but then become heavily engrossed and not be emptiness of it. The story is so simple. It's such a nice story as well, which again sounds like the perfect couple dies in a tragic way. Just wanting to keep the house clean and creates this world.
And the world is so fantastic and so, I know it sounds way too magical, because with me being a strange and weird kid, you always want to know there's something out there, there's something... what's there? And it's kind of like giving a little insight into that aspect, and it's done so well and colourfully as well. And they don't over-complicate the story.
They keep making very simple and straightforward. Every person in this has a role to play and they play the role well. And again, I know we weren't really going to talk about the second one, but when you talk about the second one, this is where the image mistakes, they over-complicated, they had too many threads going, but they don't want to be off. I think when I spoke to Sami about it, where I described the second Beatle just movie is, it's either the hard idea is to do with Beatle just two and Beatle just three, or they didn't know whether they were getting green, they threw a Beatle just three, so they put the two movies that they wanted in the one, because what felt like this, if they have the Jenna or Tina character as a mean, as that story, because that was an interesting story, the killer gore story, if they follow that one through, that would have been an interesting story, because Beatle just doesn't actually do anything wrong in this, he gets chuffed it.
And then if they do what the Beatle just did, they could have done his partner coming after him. The Dolores story, where Beatle just comes to the detail, that would have been interesting, but again, that's just me. No one said on a thread on Nerdie Upnow's race, more plots than an allotment, and I said, yes, that's exactly, I'm fucking stealing that, I'm sorry, I don't know who wrote it, it's mine now, more plots than a fucking allotment, but I would say that the cinematists fucking buzzed off in tits, like they almost had their thoughts on the ones. I remember the lead up to you going to the cinema as well, like honestly the message you did was like, this highlight I've already got saying, but that's where I think the first one is the leagues and heads and shoulders above any, like, type one, because not because it's so fantastical or it has, like, clever switches or things, it just tells a simple story, but it does it so well.
And it gets you invested in the characters, because the characters in this, like, the person that we will not name, everyone in it has such an amazing part, like Catherine O'Hara's character is so everything, and just, like, you feel every emotion with her, because you want to kill her, you want to hug her, you love her, you hear her, she is amazing in this, and I think, again, I know she's done other stuff, I don't think she's ever getting out with the shadow of the, like, the part she played in Beatle Juice, because I know, and that's not a bad thing to see it, because she's been on doing it in the place, and I like that. But it kind of worked, because they are very much, if you look at my role as a look, it's, um, Diliya, they are, called wise, very, very similar. Diliya was rich, very well in Beatle Juice, too. She very much fit into how a person from then would fit into today, and she played it perfect, but there was one moment where Moira just weeks out, and it's when she's shouting for, um, what's our face's name, the daughter's name?
Ah, for the nostrils. When she shouts, astrid. Astrid. Astrid.
Come back into the house, it's about morning. It was the very, it was the primal screen part that caught me, that was, for me, that was like, there's Moira. What are you doing? I was just practicing my primal screen, that's very good for grief.
How about you take a turn? I guess I totally get Diliya, because you come in Moira shortly, and I do think, like, in a sort of like a weird kind of slag and doh as well, maybe they are the same person. I mean, I mean, I mean, I mean, I probably took a lot. It's crazy.
Oh, I'm sorry, Kelly. I'm not. It's a bit where, you know, who shall not be named, is wearing a jumper, watching the birds. She's wearing that jumper, it's a pair of trousers, and it's just like, I'm not in there.

So Diliya as well, like, the thing is, looking from Catherine of Horace's perspective, she does, she does creak on the basis that she probably will never, ever deal with Diliya, Diliya, at least, Dita, again. She's like, that's like in the back of her, she's never playing that character again.
So why not draw from it and create this absolute spectacle that is my role is, and then he goes late to find out that she's actually going to be playing her again, and it's like, oh, shit, what did I do? I love the fact that we're not a writer in her contract in Stranger Things. From the very, I think it was very stark, I was amended, but the she, if, if being produced to ever came up, she would have to take time off to film it. That was in her, that's in her Stranger Things contract.
And the Duffer Brothers agreed to it because at the time nobody was talking about it. There was nothing being meant to, I mean, obviously that whole thing became smitted to being produced in Hawaii and shit like that, but it was never taken serious. If Burton was never going to be involved, neither was anyone else. So they just went, yeah, yeah, you can do that and then all of a sudden come and leading up to the last series of Stranger Things, she's like, I got to take a break, I've used it in my contract, I've got to, and the potentially is the reason why it's a little bit delightful.
All right, I knew it was delayed for reasons because I try to get the story right, because it's the final season, and I think they are panicking how to finish doing the Stranger Things, I'll be honest with you. Like, they've been such a juggernaut, they don't want another game of thrones, I think. Oh, let's just have it, it's all been a dream. And we wake up, and we wake up in the garage of the kids and they're just being playing the game the whole time.
I love it, it's really taken over by Becca slaughters, everyone snakes into the world apocalypse. That's it, everyone's dead. The end. Everyone's a hive mind effecter.
And 11 is just like, the most involved in the Matrix, I think. Yeah, and that's where the Matrix films start. So it's actually, yeah, he's off. Why isn't the White Rabbit?

That really confused me. The Beyal Guys and Beyal Juice. I always thought I was spelling it wrong. Spelling it Beyal Juice, because when you see it online, sometimes it's Beyal Guys.
And I'm like, I'm out of, I'm out of, because I panic because with his being dyslexic, I always panic, but I'm spelling shit wrong. And then I'm like, oh no, I'm actually right. It's juice. I think it was the change of the same half of the reproduction or something like that.
But the main product, the main actors in this is like the Adam and Barbara characters, never the main focus of them was the film. And I think they are absolutely brilliant in this. And again, I'm not the biggest addict, old, wouldn't fan. I hear the Baldwin's book.
There's not many fans he could watch and enjoy. I was like, but in this, because I don't know, because it's very un-Baldwin-esque. Does it look like him? No, it doesn't feel like him.
It's not Baldwin's face. I don't know whose face that is, but that is not Alec Baldwin's face. I just can't get away with it. Alec Baldwin was in an A&M film, very close to this.
Oh, God, John Keeney, she's having a baby. Oh, yeah. I can't even think of him as a character. And I see, I kind of love these two performances together, even though they're different, because he's a bit of a cock in the film.
But he just looks the same. I can kind of see him as a person of that time. But then when I see him, they were like, what happened to your face? Oh, I can think of him as a role.
This is the fourth time I've said this on these podcasts. My sister's keeper. That's Alec Baldwin's sickest thing in that film. I've just watched it.
Oh, these come here on Friends. I was only thinking I liked him. I loved him. I really loved him in Team America where I'm at least.
It was brilliant. I've never been less wooden. It was a beautiful performance. It was Oscar worthy.

Their death has been going to be horrific. They took it all out. There's one bit that is left in that didn't get skimmed out and kind of may not make any sense if you don't know how they originally were meant to die. When she co-ox into the house and equals house the arm.
And yeah, it was the whole death scene was so graphic and so gruesome and that's the one bit that kind of left in to indicate How bad it was? Yeah, we obviously don't get that when we get all the light and fluffy You know, they just want the water and then the next thing you see is them being wet I'm sorry, maybe I said on the month's I do watch one It was a Gorvist and he was gonna be and it probably was like it was probably Kate and the creation of Beadlejoo's that might have like changed things Because look at him you can't put him in that kind of a serious role and take it seriously either do comedy or you don't use them at all No, definitely I think it's such a telling and iconic performance And it's amazing to think as well because a lot of people will think of a little bit of things in the game movie It's only a hundred to fifteen minutes It's nine minutes He's fucking makes it as well, and he's just he makes such an impact The little snippets where he is really picture in touch you know that like fucking rags a bit I write a fucking fake cow I'm not a person like you know, you know, I'm a horse I Lead leading up to the monsters episode obviously leading up to beat with you too. I jumped on the hyper jump down the hypetrian and And honestly, I was I loved it. I loved every second of it And I still kind of get that little warm fuzzy feeling about it, but I watched the original all the times in one day And I generally didn't mean to do it but I was Amazon must have been on a loop and because I'm right no one's out and I was doing other things I didn't realize I kept playing over and over again So I ended up watching it four times in one day and I was like I don't feel like I can watch this film anymore For a long time.
I'm gonna have to like Honestly every time I kept going around I was like, you know what?
