Not really. I watched the Royal Rumble last night. Oh, interesting. Yes.

Such a mixed bag of opinions online. Yeah. I did enjoy it, but there was certain parts where I'm like, yeah, they shouldn't have done that. It was like very botachy in places.

Like there was a lot of things in the, in both worlds actually where they tried some like really cool moves. It was like maybe a bit nervous or whatever. Cause like maybe the first rumble or I've been doing for a while. But yeah, I mean, overall loved it.

But yeah, it was a bit rusty. It was a bit rusty. It was an interesting event. I was it was the first event.

Yeah, it was the first event after the news of the shitstorm that was coming from WWE, which was an absolute shitstorm, which will not go into too much detail because it's quite disgusting and graphic. It's called Grim. Grim. But I did see people because Triple H was trending this morning and I was like interested, let's ever see.

And people had been out because he did a press conference and he had the opportunity to address the situation and instead of he just went, listen, I just want to keep it positive and not negative. And I was like, that's totally fine. Like at the end of the day that regardless of like what's happened, that's still his father-in-law. He still has to have some form of decorum when it comes to that's kind of what's going on.

I think there's enough people talking about it. He doesn't need to be brought into the narrative. Like let him just let him get on with these jobs. That's just my opinion.

He's going to be a great guy. I understand that. Yeah. Yeah.

Very positive stuff about the women rumble. Yes, me too. Yeah. And then Kargil being one of them.

Maybe with the whole WWE going to Netflix, I might start watching again, but at the moment I don't know who these people are, but I saw this one shot of two women having another two women over their head and simultaneously drop them on the floor while glaring at each other.

Yeah. But it was just it was like perfect timing. The pair of them had them up at the same time. The both staring each other down.

And then they both dropped them at the same time. And I was like, Oh, that is just. Well, I should be beautiful. Who was it who won?

So that's fine. Sarah, what have you been watching? First of all, I'd just like to say sorry if it could be any baby's maker appearance. I think I think you're going to give birth to more.

I know. I've been taking full advantage of the seven day free trial of Parliament plus this week. And I had a really watch of Dexter the new blood and I've watched Star Trek, Strange New World, and I've watched Star Trek, Lord, Dex, and full. Very interesting.

How are you finding Lord Dex? Oh, I enjoyed Lord Dex. I saw a couple of episodes when it first came out because my partner was watching it. But obviously at the time I hadn't watched the rest of Trek, so I didn't get a lot of the jokes, but now I'm getting the jokes.

So it was a lot better to rewatch it now. Cool. I've already enjoyed Strange New World as well. It is one of the most.

It's one of the most. It's one of the sexiest tricks out there as well. There's a lot of swimming in and you can't help but being wild. I would be in trouble if I was on the Enterprise in that day.

I'll also have one of the Vince McMahon. No, no, no. The shit I do is in public and everyone will see it. So that's fine.

But yes, Sammy, why have you been watching? Not a great deal. I've been trying because I've been doing a lot of research for Rick Baker. I've been immersed in his world for a bit.

I did finish my love or my killer. All of the sorts have now been watched. Season 3 was a bit more to it than season 1 and 2 is very much unfortunate. I said last week and fortunately very same stories.

But the third one kind of has a bit more needily to it. It did stop. The first one is well, which is when my turns to murder. Did you mention that on the true crime one?

Because I was trying to go. I remember you recommending one to us and I was trying to go back to find it. And I didn't know the patients to sit all the way through and find out. I might have mentioned that I was watching them because I was saying that I wasn't watching like the summer of summer.

I like to watch the more localized ones, not my 10th annual killers. But there was that one as well. Right. Well, that to me, like I said, we've just finished my love or my killer.

You have to say that. You have to. You have to. You don't want to.

I never want to. I watch the first two parts of American Nightmare. Wow. Yeah.

I'm going to watch it again because I was like, it's a really long girl. And he was like, whoa, I want to fucking watch that. And I said, why did you fucking tell me this last night? Have you just been in a domestic swip of who went on this way?

Because you seem to be arguing with them all the time. We don't argue. You just get to take care. We do not endorse domestic abuse.

Also, it's just me wearing green. Yeah. I did tell him that when we were watching my love for my killer. I kept going, please don't murder me.

Absolutely. I told him about Dreamy the night. So, yeah, and the first two parts of American Nightmare, I'm going to go back and re-watch it because I feel like I really wasn't paying too close attention to it. And he wants to now watch it.

But it is like the real life gone girl. Oh, very good. That's what I'm getting so far. So, yeah, interesting.

And again, this is going to be a throwback to when we've done an episode on a series where I thought I knew a lot about. And when I come to talk about it, I already struggled with when we've done the X files episode. So, I like mistakenly didn't watch many X files. I watched it all when I first came out.

I was like, oh, yeah, it's been 15, 20 years since I've watched this. I can't remember anything anymore. But Dexter, so I've watched like within the last week, I've watched the full season one and two half with season three and I've watched the full season of season four and the episode one of season five. In a week.

Yes. So I've not slept much this week. So yes, it's all being decks of but and I do this. But again, I'll try not to do any spoilers for this because anyone's watching it or wants to watch it.

They have to the final of the best trash TV that is out there that everyone must watch because it is just fucking amazing. The season two of the traders UK. And there's been much in that. I watched the seat like me and Nick watched it on Friday night, the season finale.

And if anyone hasn't watched the traitors, it's basically like clue to one among us live action where people are picked to be traitors and they've got to fool the faithful in the scene. Oh, yeah, I'm not a trader, but I'll murder you tonight. And if you get to the end and you convince them that you're fearful, you get the money and it was down to two people. And it was like so, so stressful that I actually screamed at the tally and put me top of my head because I was like, Oh, this is just.

It was getting so, so fucked up. But yeah, it was one of the more because the things with reality TV, it's never reality. It's always edited and stuff like that. But I think this one is the truest form of how humans actually interact and how conniving and slide people are that you find out and it's hilarious.

I would do so good on this. I'm not going to lie. We only watched the first series a few weeks ago. So maybe in a year's time, I'll watch the second one.

But yeah, I mean, Mom is furious with us that I didn't watch it when it was happening because she had no wonder to talk to you about it. I was like, I apologize. I'll tell you. I'll talk to you.

That's why I've been watching. So, yeah, I'm not really new to watch other than moonshineers, which again, I'm getting a few episodes in before you get that. I feel we need to do a proper episode on moonshineers. I think we all need to invest a little bit of time to get some episodes behind us and then do a proper moonshineers talk.

I can't put you through the studying seasons of it. Maybe you can pick the best ones. None of them are the best ones. Okay.

So, this show came out many, many moons ago, more older than I would like to care to remember. So, 2006. So, almost 20 years old. No, 18 years old.

Because I started singing Ant in 2007. Oh my gosh. That's a long time. Can I, before we get started, give you the tagline for Dexter?

Yes. Because as we all know, I love a tagline. And I do like this one. So, America's favorite serial killer.

He's got away with murder. Blood never lies. In there, go, dig good. I like that.

That's a strong tagline. But he does lie though. He does lie. Oh, blood doesn't lie.

Blood doesn't lie. Blood doesn't lie. That's why you think it is. Yes.

So, quick questions I'm going to ask as well. I'm going to ask them very quick ones before we start talking about it. Is Dexter a hero? Or is he a villain?

So, Adam, what do you think? That's a good one. Not naturally. I'd say more of an hero.

He's like, he's still doing good things, but it's frowned upon by the general public. I think it's like humanity is kind of frowned upon. Well, that's what I mean. But he's doing good because they're bad people.

Yeah. Question mark. I think there's a lot of question marks in there. That's one thing I do love about Dexter as well.

Is the question mark? I think in the description I put as well, he is the anti-hero. And, yeah. But, sorry, I've chucked in Adam for what we were going to say.

Lovely there. It's just like, because it does make your question your own morality while you're watching it. Because you're like, because you're like, oh, what's that? Well, yeah, well, that and.

It's good. You go, I want it on the same thing. And it's like, oh, is that made by a person? But is that extra by a person?

So I think it's unanswered. I think that's the point. It makes your question every move he does. No, definitely.

To make it take two wrongs to make a right. Like, coming up with this very logically. Just because he does bad things, you have to do bad things to him. It's still very entertaining though.

Yes. You do, like, say the person gets the curtains in the end. Well, but you said, how would you answer that question? Um, I'm very much with the anti-hero thing here.

It's kind of like, it's all ethical dilemma. I'm not a vigilante, it's just like that. It's an ethical, yeah, like that. Um, yeah.

Where is the blurred line between right and wrong, really? That's just a very, very all in, like, in one type of thing. In general. But the way I always thought of it as well, because you can have so many different arguments about this as well, because technically, Dexter was clever enough to basically get all the people he punished behind jail.

So all of them could have been punished. So he could have took off the streets a different way, but he had to get his urge out the way. And that's, that's like where the lines always blurred when it comes to Dexter. Like a lot of people, and they had this conversation during the show as well, where, uh, was it the, the, the, the beer butcher beer or the beer hobble?

They had a bunch of that was the one where the locals, when they found out about him, was celebrating them. Um, they were basically sending messages in, uh, stop trying to catch him. He's doing doing the right thing. Cause technically if he, Dexter hadn't killed all them people that they would have been free to kill more.

So there ain't more deaths around. Like, let's just see here. Um, don't watch Lost Boys. And like I said, that's not the murder couple of the world.

Me and Miami say a couple of the world, but he was saviil killers by the sound of it. I wonder how many people have tried the whole golf, golf stream way of disposing bodies. I generally would like to know numbers on how many have actually tried to do that. I'll be interested in idiots.

Um, can I throw an interest in fact out here, which actually kind of, it kind of measures with a bit of monsters actually. Um, body count. Right. How many do you get?

Right. So this is, this is another main dance situation because on the Michael Myers one, she got one number and I got another and we went with my number because it made more sense. Um, so I, I don't know if I'm scared more of Dan to be fair. I got 117.

You might have the same fact from the same site that I have. We may be using IMDB. Yeah. Yeah.

So IMDB says Dexter's killed 117 people. Um, he had 45 blood slides in his first box before it was destroyed. And now he has about 43 slides in his new box. He's also 20 or so victims from who we didn't collect blood from.

So he still doesn't beat in a, in a monster's capacity. He still doesn't beat the top tier Michael at the moment, but 117 people over the span of his, his murderous career, which is more impressive because he seems to live a normal life unlike Michael Myers. Yeah. Absolutely.

And he doesn't go on a spree and he doesn't go on a spree. He has to do his normal job. I'd be a family man. I'm a family man and sometimes and kills within the job.

That's why you're impressed. Well, that is why you're impressed. But when you do that kind of ratio, maybe you have to do with Dexter Morgan monsters episode. We do discuss it.

And I was like, I could not do a full episode on that as you'll find out tonight. Why? So just to confirm as well, I know when I first watched X there, it wasn't when it was broadcast. I got the DVDs because I think I didn't start watching them until I met my lovely wife.

So it's got all the props out to do. So when did you guys find I could find Dexter or find like the life of a savior killer? Well, I think it's always been living inside of it. I just jumped into his cousin's cousin.

It's 2007. We are a mate of my husband. I did watch mine on DVD, but it wasn't the. The promise.

You got it from Sam Carbird sales. That's fine. Right. We used to have that we used to have this person who come to work and every week, every Monday, he would have a list of all of these movies and special that he would end by Friday.

I would have them. I got the whole entire Dexter from one to wherever it was up to it. Probably just one and two maybe just one. And I got the for a quid.

So me and I watched them that way. But I didn't get into it the best time round. I probably didn't get into it until a couple of years later. I think I watched the first series and then okay, like I wasn't a teleperson at the time.

I think the only thing I'd ever watched before that was prison break. I wasn't really like a teleperson. I wasn't really that interested. I think Dexter was like the first big break into all this is what telly is now.

Yeah. It's not sorts and shit like that. I think Dexter was kind of what we took a couple of years. Wasn't straight away.

Well, you want to know? Well, me again, something else that you know. It's a big blame for so many things. The reason it's always Jake is because I've spent so much time just playing guitar for like 10 hours a day.

That point in my life that I needed someone to introduce me to things. It was like, I've started watching this and I think the first season on DVD. And what's the big round here? I was like, one more.

I think it was about 2007. Right. Okay. So not two long, first game type thing.

Yeah. And then I was on the first season and every season I got the DVD when it came out. Very cool. Yes.

I've still got them all, I believe. All right. So you have to try and get them out from somewhere. Yeah.

Cool. What about you Sarah? I probably got into it about 2008. I would say so I missed like the first two or three seasons live on TV as well being Sean.

But I quickly caught up with them once I realized that I was enjoying the show. And then after that, similar to Sammy, I had a friend who used to download things from when the when with Ed and America, I used to get like a couple of episodes ahead of the UK and showing. Oh, you little sneak. Yeah.

It's also been brought to my attention that my podcasting other partner is in the chat. I don't know. I joined us. I was more scared of done than some because some is a little scary.

That's fine. That's scary. I'm not scary at all. She has no care and clothes as well.

I'll see you in a new episode of Monster's Tomorrow. I remember because I think at the time the American TV shows that were coming out were quite. Trying to think the right risky and like off the cuff like Dexter came out, the Sopranos came out around the same time and like breaking bad. So it was kind of like America was like going hard for the anti hero and it wasn't just doing the normal cop show or giving you like the normal like, oh, this is a good guy in this bad guy.

It was putting them as I think, as we said earlier, the moral dilemma back on the viewer to say, oh, how would you fail in the situation or how would you react and what would you do in this pride pressure site situation. For the time, the the shores that were coming out were pushing boundaries that they haven't done for a long time because now you used to look forward to the American releases used to check out say when what shores are going to be coming out, you used to check out all the pilots as well. Because if it's something I was going to come out, you stick on, I'm not going to get invested in this for like how many seasons of supernatural for life apparently because they're going to really. Because the day, when I reboot again but yeah so anyway, it's a subject.

But yeah, so when I got into Dexter like for the DVDs, it was one of them shores where. Binging first become a thing for me because we didn't have Netflix at the time we didn't have I think love film was still a thing block was there where you set the day. So I think about my set on eBay and stupid enough it was an American region so I buy a multi region David Eclio or a daily platform as the hack you could get the codes off in there at the time as well. Not saying we're completely building everything now.

Remember what we got Northern is it's okay. We're going through like the seasons the first season of Dexter like this because I will talk through the podcast. There's certain seasons of Dexter goes up goes down it's like a rollercoaster ride the dedication the same place like a lot of stores and I go up and up and up and up. Unfortunately we don't get that with Dexter but when it's good it is probably up there with like can't be touched by many TV shows out there and the first season for a debut season.

So cleverly done and saw character driven I think that was the one I was on. It was just absolutely interesting and all of them had the little side stories but and it's coming from something I've done said in the chat before she said she was introduced it by the books. Now Sarah you've read books. Yes the decks of books.

I don't know about five or six or something. The the the the the the short premise is based on basically the first book in the series darkly green Dexter and it's that that inspired the short record rated. Jeff Lindsay. Yes.

And and all next try to read them and she described them as overly descriptive. So like literally everything's like as next award index as well. Everything's told with a fine to call my in descriptive. So if you if you do get overwhelmed quite easily the books can be a little difficult to read about me.

That's what I've been told but I'm currently you can get them an audio book as well. If you look around so I know you're like your audio book sounds like you. Yeah, it could be one of generally didn't know it was a book and I learned a lot of things sometimes I always learned I hear what was a book before a movie. So the whole job is saying all over again.

But coming back to the first season like the characters that drew you in like the extra was an interesting one because he didn't really know or see where it was born but he says the Deborah that was the gold. Deborah Morgan and I couldn't get all because I was I actually caught a bit of six week under and like Michael C Hall. Yeah. Short of dead bodies.

Yeah. I can't see I can't see this transformation from because he was a very sweet character in six feet under to be next to and I was like it kind of works for him but Deborah Deborah fucking Morgan was just. I think like Deb is a female character just stands out like amongst like the Lord TV shows because you don't really get many women portrayed like her is just I couldn't give a toss swearing me head off no filter. I don't think any of them portrayed quite like that.

Yeah. I think all the women in Dexter as well like that just like Deborah has done like hand it well was handled perfectly until the same. Yeah. I think all the women in this are given such a strong platform I think as well I think that's like thing because even the weather has done like it's done in a certain way and as shown as a powerful strong woman and very determined and going the way she wants.

In a simple like performance and the growth you get from Rita from start to her end not the show is end unfortunately but her eyes. I don't know. I don't even know if I'm walking here with this one we get around the season forward. Yeah.

Did you know that the actress who played Rita I forgot my name it's got to stop me here but she actually auditioned for Deb's part. Alright. It's interesting. Literally.

You know what I couldn't see knowing there is I couldn't see her poetry in depth. She was in there but he wasn't. Yeah she was the angel she was dollar. No I couldn't see her as Deborah.

It's amazing I can't say Deb Morgan without saying Deborah fucking Morgan. I can't physically talk about that. My immediate reaction is she brought me with it. That's my first swear by her.

She definitely wraps up the like the bleep meter and stuff like that as well. I was generally going over a moment Sarah was like not swearing earlier because of the children and then she got. Sorry that one has to be said fully that one has to be said in its full form. Well the one that would copy me has gotten better and the other two aren't all of the copy me now.

Everything are convoluted and to the extreme. I'm such an interesting character. I didn't mind that the X does brother again. Why are you watching the X is episode?

I think I think we're going to talk about it. It's a little bit further. When we were on an earlier podcast I got told off many moons ago by a certain person who's no longer part of it that I was given spoilers for Dexter. Yes.

That was a good one. Yes. I thought it was genius that it was his brother. Yes.

In the first series you get into pieces together who Dexter is. I thought it was genius that his brother was the one. That makes it more personal. Not having some random stranger being like his first antagonist.

He's all in flesh and blood. I thought that was a genius. No, definitely. The only thing, again this is the convoluted part is in the hall Miami PD.

Dexter being the blood's brother expert is head and shoulders better detective than every fucker that is there. He only looks bad analyst as well. That's the thing that blew blows my mind as well. I know Brian players were Dexter in the first season by giving them little clues by leaving the dismembered Barbie doll in his fridge with the painted hand with the fingernails and everything.

All them aspects were so perfectly done. Everyone kind of played the part so well and so interestingly as well. It wasn't just everyone playing nice and nice because then you get the people who don't like it. As the seasons go on, I love the little bits because certain characters do shine.

Certain people get loads of backstory, loads of terms to grow. Dux kind of stays one note a little bit. But his little grew off more personal. When you find out about his backstory when he was in the army and what he's seen in the Haitian war in Hixia where he saw someone when he was obviously done.

He was in the end of season. Season one or two where he sees him and then the angels got a lie for him as well. He shoots the person because he's basically seen him in another country torturing, re-eving, killing people and he wasn't going to let him get away with that. That's Dux to a tell you.

Everything is black and white and he doesn't trust anyone. His suspicion of Dexter is just beautiful. I absolutely love it. And also very spot on.

You fucking got it straight away. But we all here in Burridge because we're like no we want to see Dexter doing more. Fuck off Dux. I also liked how Dux, sorry I've got a crying chat on the background.

I also liked how Dux actually softened towards Deb a bit as well. He was so harsh with that when she first got promoted. But then when he actually took on board her suggestions and thought that might work, started to soften towards her and actually she was on respect. And like Dexter's always playing the chess game.

That's the thing. He's moving people around and wants people where they are or what they're doing. That's why he's trying to position Debra from just being a beat cop or what advice when we first see where she's went with the prostitutes. Oh, who holds it if you're in America.

Basically, and then she's moving up to trying to get into homicide and how he helps her and says this is kind of like the leadener to that path.
