Hello everyone and welcome to the Nerdy of North Podcast, the Nerdy Podcast hosted by two Northern nerds. I'm one of your hosts Sam. Now I'm the other host Paul. And welcome to this week's great podcast.
I can't wait to get into it. I've been excited about what's drove me round the bend. I'm not gonna lie. I thought this would have been my week and I'll probably just melt the me brain about a million times or trying to work this out.
The only thing I'm happy about is because of the topic I'll announce it it's the top five favorite films of the eighties is three of the films that would have been Dead Serbs, we've already talked about which is Horsebuster's Goonies and Lost Topics, which saved me a lot of heartache. Same here, same here. You couldn't pick them because it already been on the list previous and because this is how it's getting so interesting because now we can't go back over things. So you've got to really get your brain thinking.
Yes, because I can say when we're going through the horror films you could use the excess, I can use doors. So it's making us think a little bit outside the box but the honest my list even from this morning was still at 10. I'd be a bit brutal with stuff, the sum out of off which I don't know why out of off but it's just because Alta's not right, these are the ones I can think we were talking before about these are the ones I could watch any second of the day, because I'm out of the mood, these are the films. I could literally walk out this room and just one second of them all on I think nothing other because of that good dummy anyway.
So like every week each week one of us picks a topic and we go through our top five favorite of that topic. So as it is your week, you love us. Certainly and I'm just trying to pick the first one. So the easiest number of them all that basically was the first thing that hasn't left the top five, it kicked a few of them off but first one 1985 Michael J.
Fox. You can hear the music just as I'm speaking out it's about the future. My winter. Which one?
Power of love is what we came out to at the end of our wedding. It's always a special place for me but I didn't think it's because and you would and and I'm probably going to upset a few people here. It's not my favorite from the franchise. Even though it's a perfect one, number two will always be my favorite.
Number two, I'm dressed. Next I went to see a number two at the picture. I wasn't lucky enough to see back to the future when I came out in the picture that I saw on I think I was trying to remember the channel now. I think it was ITV because there was this TV adverts between them.
But I can still remember being blown away by the cell and even at all the aspects, the top brown, the customer Lloyd was absolutely mesmerizing that car, the DeLorean. So you can't think of back to the future and not think of the DeLorean, you can't think of the DeLorean and not think of back to the future. Even though it was a hideous car, I always wanted it. I'll talk you agree.
I've heard this from Carolyn. That this is scientifically the most perfect film from start to finish. There's no income. What's the word I'm looking for?
Yeah, income, there's no inconsistencies. There's no errors. It's just perfect from start to finish. I just look at it.
It's a film for all the ages because it is technically a kid's film. But there's some kind of adult humour in there, where it goes back in time. These mum tries to shag them. They kind of make us hear his mum a bit promiscuous, shall we say?
That's a life voice. It has one of the best lines in it as well with George McFly. You're only because you are my density. For the whole aspect, there's aspects of it like you said, you're loud, you're cry.
As I said, George McFly is a Christian cover. It was the mess of his career by trying to get too much money to go back to the sequels. You think that's what it is. But I've been listening to it because he's only just started recently talking about it.
It was a case of money, but it was no one he's worth. He talks about it. He will not say a bad word about the director or any other cast. It's one of the producers who he says was really screwed over by.
I feel quite sorry for him because he did hold his career in such a way. But you'll have to go and listen to his own words on what happened. But I don't think it's as black and white as he just wanted to be. I know he was a pretty inactive.
He doesn't even want to be the rat one. I was a strange film about how he played it. I'm recently in American gods. He was quite brilliant.
American gods. He was so good. In that film, but I think he would have been a bigger actor than he has if the things that went down. That rule, George and Clyde, was hilarious where he started.
He said he probably wouldn't be me. He said he's a teeny boy, not scared a total girl. He picked on by the big talent. He said even though he was a bully, I was actually scared a bit, which I never thought it would be.
No, I've had some of the best dialogue in that film. Why don't you make a tree and get out of here? I'm sure I actually just want to have a skateboard as well. I said, growing up in the north east in the year, he's skateboards weren't really that cool.
I know. I've been the most clumsy estate boy you'll ever see. I was falling off that skateboard so many times. At the time, he didn't have to wear the day at Calumice or anything.
I'm surprised I got damaged. No health and safety in this one. I'm going to apologise in advance if anyone can hear my cat going absolutely ballistic at the door. I'm not letting her in because I won't be able to concentrate, but I'm really sorry if anyone can hear her.
While you were talking there, she's going to absolute ends trying to get in. She loves to fall as well. I'm just really trying to get everyone loves it. I don't think I've actually spoke to anyone that has actually a bad word about it.
No, not whatsoever. I know the second one's probably my favourite. It's just because I like the fact that I love the 50s era. I just loved it.
But I love actually when he goes into the future. Especially the kids. That's what we love now. We're not looking for any sort of us.
We'll pass it as well. I know. We'll get where my fucking hoverboard was. Where's this cos hologram?
I'll come down. I know we'll have the 3D elements. We've got some truth in it. We've been a big tan and difficult president of the United States.
Whoa, I'm letting it last. That's about as much political as you'll get out of it. I know it's my time, but I had the biggest crush on to Maddy's mum as well. Leah Thompson.
I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why. I don't know why.
She was absolutely gorgeous. But it doesn't blow your mind that is how old she was when the film was being done. And now she's the age of what she would have been as mum. It's crazy.
It's crazy. I think seeing this film as well, it's sort of the obsession. I love Michael J. Fox.
I love him and everything he's made. And even spin city, I thought that's always fair. Oh, that's so good. That's sure.
Didn't him, Charlie Shaintegober. Yeah, when he's there. Too bad. But I love that he's still acting today.
With these Parkinson's, he's still acting today, which I just absolutely love. He was that man who's doing all wrong. My dad is a massive fan of Michael J. Fox.
And they actually share, not just a birthday, but they were going on the same day. Eric Stoldt, so originally Castas Martin would fly before. So we'd have had a very interesting, cos I actually started filming the movie. Oh, yeah, if you're going to look online, you'll be able to find pictures of him in Marty's costumes.
But I don't know if it's because we know the film and it doesn't look right. Yeah. Would you have known any different? Probably not.
Always not. But I know, cos it wasn't a family, it wasn't a family time. Family time? I was going to say, I'm going to show it.
I was like, oh no, but you were. Very different program. Yeah, cos he was connected. That's why he couldn't get out and apparently athletes.
He did both at the same time. Yeah. So he was doing that in the night time and he was doing his family ties during the day. And if you go on any watch more, or list about any television program from America, that one always comes up and it's always around when Marty, when he goes to the box was in it.
See, that's always the previous film that he was playing. That's fine. That's fine. Not really.
You'll say a few years ago when actually started doing a reboot of Back to the Future, cos no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. There's been loads of rumors down the years. There was actually going to be like a brand new one, but I think the producer of the director said that as long as he's alive, he won't allow them to do it. Then the one back to the Future 4 where Marty was going to be playing, Maggie J Fox was going to be playing the Dop Round Raw.
So he's going to be the crazy scientist when he's older. And a new, I think probably got a bit of a shine on the bow. Like I said, a new, I don't know what kind of reviews then, but I still have to use the dialogue out of being this point. Oh, yes.
I love the episode of the Goldbergs when the brother comes home with the Dop. It is absolutely sick when that episode come up. I love that show. I love the Goldbergs.
So good. You got me re-watching it again for the day of fall off. Because it became the same episode. Each week it wasn't much different, but it's just how they feel good feeling to it.
Which is what Back to the Future gave everyone. It's very exciting. Exactly. Well, as I said, if you feel happy, sad, visual.
Even if it's on top of you, it's halfway through. It's six years on. You can pick it up and just say right when you enjoy it. Were you looking enough to get on the ride of Lorna?
No, it would turn into the... I was! You would be... Oh, you would be...
The other time did the Simpsons ride when I went. I did actually touch the DeLorean. And I've met, I'd say, the guy who plays Dop Round at Florida and the University of the US, where it's only two times. But yeah, I touched the DeLorean, I touched the triad.
It was such a good ride. Like from start to finish, like from in the queue, you just submersed in the atmosphere. They want you to be in, which is getting ready to go on Docks' wild journey. The last time I rode it was probably the last year it was there and it was sort of like the screen was out of place.
And if you were to lean ever so slightly forward, you could see all of the other cars. And it just, it really took you out of it. But the first time I went on it, it was absolutely magical. And if you want to see a point of view ride, but on YouTube, it's there and you can do the whole ride on YouTube.
It was fun. I wouldn't do that VR. You know, it's VR sets you get now. Yeah, that would be very cool.
I'm really terrible on VR. I'm not a good person on VR. I get very violent. Going back to the sound slide, I don't know.
But the, the, the Seagal's two and three might be wrong. Was that the first time that the films were filmed back, like any film was filmed back to back, where it was Seagal, knowing that the set was not strange. I know I'm sure Pete Jackson came out to see me. It was inspired by Back to Future two and three that he was going to film Lord the Rings that way.
Oh, I don't know, potentially. I mean, you've got a different Jennifer in two and three. And I'm a good guy. I'm a good guy.
After another, after another, I think it's a bit sick. Yeah, I really don't know. And I'm not, I think I've only seen like three a handful of times. It's not, I still love the fact of the kid at the end, very pointed at his there.
It's so, he gets, he does that with the camera. And then he goes like that. And it's so funny. And but two is just, I love it.
I love it. And I think that's probably one of the, again, being one of them films where every TV show, every film has kind of had a hint or dorked about it in some way. I know it's not a very good film. Like a million Weirs the Dine the West with set.
I love that film. I think that film's fantastic. I do, I like, I have a very soft spot to set with Fallen. So you really kind of do much wrong in my eyes.
I love the, the dark brown kind of joke in that as well. But they go on the barn and he's like hiding the card. Oh, don't look good. Oh, I do love it.
Where'd you go on? And just a little bit of a shout out as well there. One of the posters in the Facebook group actually posted a documentary on the Discovery Channel. And I've forgotten the name of it now, but it's basically this travel guide searching for the original DeLorean.
And it's got, and it's got Christopher Lloyd in it as well to help them find it. So the search influence for the Michael J. Fox Foundation. So have a look on, it's on the Discovery Channel.
You're probably going to be able to find on some streaming device as well. But I can't remember the name, but it's so fine. Like say, finding the DeLorean and going through Hollywood. Yeah.
So that's something I want to watch as well going forward. Oh, brilliant. Well, my number one pick. So I'm going to go with the one that I toured in Broadway because I did take one.
I had a breakdown and it wasn't until I was thinking the one that I brought down could potentially put on another list. So I'm going to stay clear of it. And so I put this one in its place. It's from 1985.
It's directed by the star. It's it's the star. It's his version of the Cold War. It's it's Rocky 4.
The worst rock. Actually, you're getting it back. You mean? Rocky 5 was the worst rock.
I'll tell that back. Oh, wow. Oh, wow. I was going to get him.
I was going to get him. I was going to get him. I car that. I think it was going to be some blood spells.
Rocky 4 is brilliant. It has the best soundtrack. That soundtrack is on in my car. It is fantastic.
It's the death of Apollo Creed. Spoilers, by the way. Just imagine if someone hadn't seen it. I've seen one, two, three, five and.
I'm going to see it. Yeah, Apollo Creed dies. And then you've got Dolph Lunder and Eindrachal. It was really in like, it was the first one I think I watched because I know it wasn't a thing.
Because I didn't watch the Rocky films until a few years ago. And I thought it was all for Christmas. I want to say I watched this one first because it's I'm saying it's like his favourite. So it was like he's doing it really much.
Going into it. I disagree because the relationship with Apollo went properly. I do now. Yeah.
Yeah. But I really. I would have drawn a crazy watch and I would have ordered you to not watch them be first. I think I did.
You know what I really do. But this is just it's it's it's hard. It's like it's not hard. It's just an easy watch.
Yeah. And it was and I bumped it off. I'm going to tell you what I bumped it off for was um return of the Jedi. Right.
Okay. I've not. I've not exactly what that's what I was thinking. We could potentially do a Star Wars episode.
And I'm going to stop my Star Wars. Exactly. Yeah. So that'll be like yeah.
I was like I don't think this is going to be fitting. Because I could you could pick two of the Star Wars for the 80s and I'm like no no. I think that's just an easy cut out. I'm going to put Rocky fall in this place.
Um even if it was. How could you do it? Star Wars. I was very no like a huge Star Wars fan.
I've got Star Wars. I would have to be with every office really. But um I have to be in the right booth for Star Wars these days. Because I get yeah.
It's not as easy to watch as it used to be. Because I think it's not 10. It's just that much of it. It's now so you don't know where it's now.
Yeah there's a lot now. You kind of spoil the choice because you can go. You can go right the way to the beginning. You can go right the way to the end.
You can go in the middle. Yeah. It's cool and was as well. There's a lot of truth from Star Wars and I just thought that could potentially come up.
So I bumped it and thought what is the feeling that I could sit and watch for eternity and not get bored of it. And what are you talking about? It is what I support all the time with the guys. He does.
So there's a lot of money for Rocky fall in the dialogue. It's never been great. So it gives you a feeling of where it comes from. When he's when he's a little bit of a manager and I always do the mantra very well.
Oh the one charge scene with that music. That is the first one because I have a movie playlist and that was the first one I put on there because it is such a build up and then it just all it is is just music. There's no words in it and then you've got half on fire and easy way out which is just I love driving in the car with that on because I can just pick to slide driving in the car. I know I didn't realize until today that sovieta's along to direct this.
Now I know he's you know he's what he's Oscar for is writing the first Rocky and I didn't think he directed it but I didn't I definitely didn't know that he directed this one. Had no idea. But that's it. I really want much to talk about on Rocky for because it was literally just the last minute.
Yeah. It's a good choice. It is an easy one. It is an end of the year.
It's like America versus Russia. Big versus the slightly smaller. Yeah it was just it was his take on the cold war. And I was with David Best of life as well as in a crisis kind of way.
Oh yeah. And the Deputy's friend which is obviously a massive part of Rocky's story because Apollo has been predominant through one, two, four. And so it does have everything and it has a robot. I can't remember this name as well because.
No I'm neither can I but I absolutely here to Paul the other character. I really do. He's such a whiny little bitch that I just could do without him and I just think he constantly he just doesn't need to be there. He's easy.
Oh no I'll change my mind on this aspect straight away. Paul is the foil to Rocky because Rocky's obviously always positive. Yeah. So it's kind of like the easy.
That's exactly what I was just going to say. He's like a little devil sitting on his shoulder constantly just putting back in his head. Yeah. And I feel like you don't need him.
In the films though, like it kind of bounces up as if you just didn't have that like point of view. Yeah. It would be like oh yeah Rocky's positive. It's someone telling me can't do it.
So it's the kind of support as well. Yeah I guess that does make sense to us. Right we'll move on. You go next.
Right I don't know which one's the pickets I've got so. Yeah. No I'm trying to like I think I've got mine in order now where I'm going to go. I'm going to go this one because like I say it's not a great film.
I think that they went in when I've looked into it as well. The writers said the wrote in a day as well. They've already told them to write the films. Really.
But the cast is brilliant. And I think it's not his first role. It was one of his very first role of our very own Ironman. Probably down to it again.
So the film 1985. Then it's one of the things I'll say the name of it. And you'll start hearing the music and your head straight away at science. Paul I've never seen it.
Well you've never seen the way it's science. Carolyn will be listening to this one. Cauchy hasn't. Can you look at Brock's later this computer generated being that these two nerdy boys who didn't have a chance for girls at high school busy locked themselves in the teenage bedroom and brought into the Pentagon computers somehow because they were computing machines.
And they created this living theme that was Lisa who could make any dream come true. Oh wow. So if you love like the 80s films, it's directed by John Hughes. That tells you everything.
Yeah. There you go. There you go. Didn't they have a TV show?
I really think I've seen the TV show. I didn't know the concept of it. Yeah. It was on trouble.
But I'm thinking Michael Hall was the character famously from the breakfast club as well. He played Gary and I'm trying to pronounce him. He's running my Ellen Mitchell Smith played Wyatt. It's done.
Bill Paxton plays these all the brothers who used to torture him. It was like the army brats who came warm and just made the lives hell. And I said, I feel like the old mid 80s love like the Google pictures of clearly the broth from the 80s. You will.
I mean, like, it's just trying to people pictures of like the brothe. And I say she was the quintessential. He had a big hand, makes a big lips, absolutely beautiful. But as a teenage, I can say if we think of teenage comedies, we go back to see an American pie and that type of stuff.
This was like a bit of a watered down version, but honestly, it's just hilarious. Like the things that happen to which is a teenage boy's wet dream and I know it sounds stupid. No, it doesn't make total sense. Like, I love this film.
So and you went out there around about the same age group. So it totally makes fully sense. It just wasn't something I picked up as a child. It really didn't really speak to me.
Like there's one saying that always stands out because I find it hilarious now. Like, this is perhaps it gorgeous woman invites these two nerds to have a shower with it. And she's there, negative in the shower, like going around in the near standing the corner of the tower, and the wind shower show, swimming trunks, because it didn't want to be negative in front of her. But that's like, I'm hearing that is, and actually again, it's coming to be interesting.
It's John Hughes. So it has to be. It's not giving these two young ads confluence and stuff. And like, say the school colleagues Robert Downey Jr Jr.
And actually getting involved in says, we want to do the same thing. And chaos emerges. And honestly, it's, I can say without exploring the film too much. You can smile.
Like, it came out of me, Eddie's. If I haven't seen it now, it's me on hold. Well, it is like a complete romp of a film. And I know when the, I can say that came out and said, oh, we wrote this film in a day, just because I don't know, I'm like, where was Eddie's old films?
A Corbius and Anastor drugs and whatever during that time. But, Downey Jr. is involved in it more likely. And it's going by, where it was, was my John Hughes as well.
So, but yeah, we had science. It's one of the films that's similar to like, the license to drive. Although, Eddie's films, along with Sam, I think that was only, I could have listed John Hughes films, like, you know, everything. You could, yeah, you could do a full list on him, because he is very much a driving force of films from our, our grown up and kind of give like, especially for kids in the UK, a false sense of what the world really like.
That wasn't ours. That isn't our grown up. But we really tried to make it like that. Yeah, when I went to say, you still never know about a lot of our hours.
Well, yourself. I was like, because like high school, you were like, okay, I'm born in the big school now. I'm like, I'm going to give you one longer. I'm going to give you one longer.
I'm going to give you all these things, but all of these things, but all of these people, all of these people, all of these people. No, it was. And, but Dinah's like, hang out spots. Like, we had none of what we created.
Our own grown up. Like, he was like a, a driving force in that. John Hughes is just, there's a lovely tribute on, because Josh Dad over lockdown is done, and really, she'll call it Reunited the part. and he does a beautiful tribute to John Hughes, with all of these, all of these characters in it.
And you see Catherine O'Hara, and Petrian, the mother from Home Alone. And each is like, the actors now seeing their lines from back then, and it was just be huge. But I saw it through it. The story of you doing, how many films did?
Like, I said, this film, because I can say, when I was trying to be the list, a little of the odd film on film. So this one actually knocked off the breakfast club, because that was going to be the two, like, I'm not a... And you picked that before? I haven't picked that.
I would talk about it. And she was a production. I would never pick the breakfast club. So, I said, that was one of the ones I was going to have on.
But when I was talking about, like, say, John Hughes films, I'm sure the breakfast club was at John Hughes as well. I'm just trying to see, so yeah, I don't quite want to do so. I picked the way it's science, because I remember watching Weird Science more, if that makes sense. Yeah.
Yeah. I did not know it was John Hughes films. Weird science. I shouldn't do it, because of the cast he's got in it, is very, like, he kind of tried, didn't he like, use a lot of the same?
Yes. Yeah. I thought it was early eating films. Yes.
But, um, I remember watching on, uh, actually, this one was a bit late, because it was a bit wrong here and stuff like that. So, um, it sounds it. No. But it wasn't quite parties, but it wasn't as, as full on as that.
There was no new idea that that makes sense. But, um, it was quite a subject matter, it was quite American teenage. Yeah. Actually, which, uh, what a film.
I haven't seen it on, like, say the soundtrack again, which with any free 80s film, is always amazing. I'm excited to hear the, like, say the title. I think even the song was a weird sign. So, it was a hit to hear the time.
Yes. So, that's what's in me head right now. Weird science. I just remember, I just remember from the end of the TV show, which I wasn't really heavily invested in.
I wasn't really a television person as a, as a child or like, I liked, I liked what I liked and I stuck with it. The only reason I haven't been to the TV as well is because the woman who played Lisa was the woman out with Kingpin, you know, with, uh, Winnie Harrison. I know the one I've not seen, but yes, I know what you can all hear your referring to. I was wondering if you were going to do it.
I was wondering if it was a TV or a TV or a TV or a TV or a TV or a TV. I have a VCR player. That's fine. If you've got, if you've got videos, I do want to be CR.
I do have a lot of stuff on VCR. Maybe book up to the new topics. I think it's because it's good. Yeah.
Yeah. It works out pretty fine. You've got, you've got to track some stuff. I'm right.
You should have tracked them. Yeah. Yeah. I've got loads of them.
I've got all the old Disney videos, videos, VCRs. And I have home ones that me and my sister put together. So we have like a Christmas, we have Christmas Day with all of like stuff that we just recorded from like, um, stay tuned and we're all Paris and. Oh.
And just because the artist or the person has done bad things, so is it okay to enjoy the work or? It was just, it was just, it was just, it was like, 20 Robins did see it tuned. Yeah. And we've got like, he went back over like old Christmas, um, like cartoons.
The Popeye one from, it's a new year one. And it's one of my favorites. And I absolutely love it. And it's on theirs.
And I have them all on video. Yeah. We found out via chess as people probably view and this one. What the Fox VHS?
The over Gordon system. Except that on this day, you start to walk. On this day, with tape. Yes.
You would boob it if the tape wasn't. Yes. I'm sure it would even. If you had been have long clear shortly, you were not as well.
So. Yeah. Yeah. And if you went to America like our days from the age of 15 and came home with VHS that weren't in an English version, pointless, got judged.
I think ready to rumble was the first one I brought home and it was, it wasn't a UK. I think it was actually, I might be getting mixed up with DVDs if it wasn't. Oh, what a mean if it wasn't region one. Yeah, region one.
Yeah. People are really here being saved but more so more so than all the other. I think more so than all the other. I can't even remember the last time I bought DVD.
Oh, that's a big lie. I bought Star Wars to go finish me collection off. But I have the original Star Wars on VHS, which I bought at a convention of a lovely gentleman. I picked up the 4K last week.
The Schneider Cush. Just a second. The Schneider Cush. He's actually on to the disc, which I was surprised at because I couldn't fit the whole film on one of this.
That isn't the prizes. Given that it was four hours long. Right. You're going to move on to your number two?
Yes. So it's one I'm leaving to last. No, this is my number. Oh, no, no, no.
I'm almost in the office. Are you just gone? Are you just gone to me? I'm not going to go to the store.
Right. OK. So this actually fits in with what we were just talking about with Christmas because this is a Christmas film, technically, I think. When I was growing up, there was only two films that I loved more than anything in the world.
Also, it's just been one of them and this being the second of them. It was brought up in 1983, directed by John Landis and stars one of my favorite people in the entire world. Danaproids. It is trading places.
Oh, border film. Yes. It is one of it. I literally watched ghostbusters and trading places religiously.
And I'm going to be honest, I probably didn't understand half of what was going on. But because rare stands is in it. There was a lot of things I used to get me eyes covered all before any ears. But we're all up.
But we're all up. I remember the first time I watched it, I was an adult. And I actually go on. How did I watch this as a kid?
It was like, I would never have gotten half of this stuff that was going on here. But now, it was like watching it all over again. And it's seen that a million times. I was like, the first time any Murphy was in a role after he'd done Raw.
Did he do Raw after that? Oh, I really don't know. I didn't see that on there. Because I did read a bit of trivia on it.
And I didn't see anything to do with that. Yeah. Because I know it went huge after this film. I think because I said it was coming to Merigos.
Like the Golden Triangle. Yeah. Because coming to America is the reason why you don't have any Murphy in the ghostbusters. Because he was originally going to be part of the ghostbusters.
He wasn't the original. John Baller was the original. Yeah. Yeah.
He was an original cast member. But because he was doing that, and he felt that was actually more important. And I kind of get what he means by it. Yeah.
He went down that road with this. It has some of the greatest talent, like every Murphy. And Dan Afro, Jamie Lee Curtis. Oh, she was beautiful in Afro.
Beautiful. Beautiful. And then he has the same. As the same.
So she was a tit. She went legit. She went legit. She really did.
And you have Ralph Bellamy. And Dan, I can't pronounce. Sorry, Don Akameh. Akameh is the Jukes who are also in, I think they're in common to America.

This is a goal. I think a lot of Eddie Murphy films about that were just absolutely brilliant. Yes. I've just saw funny, his time and his brilliant, and his transition from the Eddie Val, Eddie Valing, you see first, to the rich version of him, is just night and day.

That's Louis. Because that's sold me on that act on that act, because you've probably seen him in other roles, and you think it does similar type of things. But that's when you're selling doing something completely. I mean, completely.
You see, but for us, yes, I agree with that, but from America, you've got to remember Dan Aykroy. Oh, right. It's like live and stuff. I heard that we didn't see that side of him, like especially the Blues Brothers, as much as it's one of me, my dad's favorite films.

And Our Sorum is Louis. I know it's like one of John Cante's some of the vacation as well. He's also looking at, oh my gosh, it's not creak show. It's a creak show.
No, it's not. It's the Twilight Zone. It is the Toy Zone movie that the day is. He's in that.
Oh, I don't watch that. For a long time. It is. I'm actually shocked I didn't put it on here, because it is absolutely phenomenal.
But the first, I remember, me and went through a phase of view year ago watching anthology horror. But again, we love anthology horror, and we wanted to watch the VHSs, because I think it was about three of them. But we started the Twilight Zone movie, and the first one is the Vic Morrow story, of where he's an utter racist, horrible human being. And he gets put into even a bar, and he's just spewing racist stuff with these men.
And then he leaves the bar. He goes back to Nazi Germany, where he's a Jew. Like he's put in the worst bits of history that he would be verbally abused over, and his life would be in tatters. And unfortunately, it is good, very short, because Vic Morrow died on that film.
It was directed by John Landis. Yeah. And it was the Vic at Nomb scene, where the helicopter accident, would John Aperide is in the film of that. I think it's been spoofed on P-We, on P-We were in Herman's grade, whether in the car.
And yeah, it's just fantastic. Watch it again, it is phenomenal. Absolutely brilliant. Another Tidalist book, yeah, but that's up there with like, Cimit type of comedies that are loved at the time.
What was the other one, Bruce? There's millions as well. Cimit type of style. Yeah, my dad loves it.
Which is prior. But that's my dad's style of comedy. Like, and that comedy was huge in our household from television to films. And that's like on my dad's level.
And then it changed. And one of my dad's favorite films is American High. Right, okay. My dad loves obscure comedy, not crude comedy, but obscure comedy.
That's just a little bit different. And that's really what we grow up on. That's a good show though. That's probably been my favorite so far.
