Can't rain all the time. Yeah, it's Michael. I love you. I know.

I can go slow ahead. Come on down and jump some of this shit. I'll do some scary movie. What?

Uh huh. Tell us this. This is a brody. We came, we saw, we kicked it down.

Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. It's your dad.

It's alive. Hi everyone and welcome to the Nodium North podcast. It's a tiny podcast and it's hosted by and all the nerds. I am one of your horse son.

And I am the other horse Paul. Hopefully you can't hear me and see me and all things like beautiful. I know we have been having a few technical issues over the last few days, especially with a lot of the equipment. So if there's any audio problems, let us know in the chat please.

But tonight is a special night. We do have two beautiful guests joining us this evening. We've got the darling of the Nodium North Discord, the Queen Mother herself, the one who gives birth to all the kids. We've got the lovely Sarah and we will be having none of this bullshit.

That Sarah is the longest episode ever now. That is truly down to Lee because we can't shut the whole door. And we are joined by the Boobilicious, the most beautiful lady in this world. One of my favourite people who I often offend, not even on purpose, the beautiful, the Vibracious, the lovely Emma.

Yeah, you get away with a lot of things, Paul. I can try and get away with more Emma. If you want a married woman, I'll just say that. Yes.

And I haven't said this for a while and hello to all the mothers out there and happy Easter, everyone. Happy Sunday, Jesus day. Happy Sunday, Jesus day. Happy tomorrow.

The day that Jack was born or risen, whichever the law these days in the Nodium North aircraft. Just a few little announcements will get out the way as well. Things look are a bellent. Full stop.

It's causing me so much aggro. So if you haven't followed the new Nodium North backup page just in case, please do, it will give me less hard palpitations. Also as well, just not going to start the podcast on the sad note, but I do want to make reference because I did get some sad news today and it has hit me harder than I was expecting. I mean, close friends from the Rolcea close, as much as you do move on and people coming out of your lives, but you always have them people with you.

She passed away over the weekend and it's a little bit tough, a little bit thing, but I don't want to celebrate a morning thing because she would have liked that. She is one of the most partiest, craziest and bad-ass women I ever met. She's the only one that terrified me when I was in the borough. I'm one of my birthdays.

She threatened me with a battery, said, you will lick this battery or I will punch you. I've never been so scared in my life. So, I really do go to miss you, Susan. So thank you for being a part of my life.

She was a character. Yes. So that's how it's out the way. So, how are you doing it to the way?

How are we doing? Are we going straight into this? Are we... Am I just never expecting this?

Oh my God, is she not? Oh my God, what's cool. I feel like I'm being self-fulfailing here. Maybe.

Do you think I would do that to you? Yes. Yes. Just got to be nasky, isn't it?

It's so hard and I just want to know how he's doing and what he's being watching. Right. Now there you go. Did you put inside yourself a little bit there as well?

Every time I see it, I'm dying a little bit inside. No, what he's been watching. Emma, what you've been watching this week? So we, just as me, my husband, just finished the gentleman.

We were... No, gentlemen. Which was absolutely outstanding. It was brilliant.

Absolutely loved every single second of it. It was Guy Richard, he's best, to be honest. We can't say anything else other than that. Brilliant character is well written.

Just... We binged it and normally we watch a couple episodes and the last three episodes of it, a grip show. And we were up until about half one in the morning saying we've got to finish it. We can't knock on the outcome.

Oh, I've never had a series like that in some long. It's so good. I don't know about you, Watson, but I sort of expected it to the end. But then didn't expect the end and at the same time it was a bit open in the air for me, but I really, really enjoyed it.

Yeah. I thought the ending was a little bit more telegraph because it was a clever show, but it was the only outcome that you could have expected. Absolutely. And to see how it chills there, because that's the first time in probably about five years that someone's actually called us Watson instead of Paul.

I'm going back to my teenage years now. I actually called you Watson on the stream the other day, knowing that Emma was coming on when you were on Twitch. And then Watson running, I was like, I mean, to be fair, that's way of online because I have been on the podcast with the last five years. And I'm pretty sure every single time I'm on, I call you Watson.

Possibly. But it's not many podcasts. My brain system mush with everything that we do. I was like, what's in?

Get fucking out. It's going to be a call. No, no, I never want you to be a grown up. I was going to let them emphasize.

Sorry. 16 when we first met. It's good. We'll not tell any stories.

No. Yes. So Sarah, what have you been watching? Oh, well, I did stuck behind with babies on my knee quite a lot of day.

And as I've had massive watching going on the last few weeks, I've watched all of the card. I've watched. I've watched. I've watched American gods.

There you be. I've probably been on one. I've also started watching the original Unsolved Mysteries with Robert Stack. I just love them.

I love the current one that's on Netflix. I've been watching. The old talk about Robert. He's fine.

He's a fan club baller. He's made on Twitter. He's very much dead. Got it in there because on this movie, I can't do that.

Did you notice though, on the original ones, a lot of amnesia in the eighties and nineties. Yeah. A lot. A very strange thing to like everyone had amnesia.

It was called the copious drug. Now the drugs are available. I was like, remember buying this box with a skeleton in it? But it was constant.

Maybe it was Ohio. I just don't know. I do love that. I do love that.

I love that. I love that. I love that main answer, but I love that. And then I do love that.

I do love that. I want to watch them sometimes. There's like Bradley Cooper's actor in there in one of them. Ryan Reynolds, um, the Dawson, he's been in one.

So you can like find all these like movie stars who started in an amazing place. Just a quick question, because you mentioned the show. I kind of love but hear it at the same time, how do you find American gods? Not just because you're fancy.

Anderson but um I thought I was watching it just to try and get to the end of it. I wanted to know what happened. Especially season three. It wasn't I think if it started the story of season three I wouldn't have continued.

No because that was because after season one Brian Fuller left and it kind of went a bit here. Why? Um very recommend to read the book, Emory and God's. I know I'll see it every time we've done a review on it as well.

Uh many moons ago many many moons ago. All of their right and podcast and podcast and issue one but yes um it's a very good book. It's like breathtaking the stories the characters especially if you like any think mythology it's so interesting. Um the first season got kind of right but then Di Volgian took and thought oh these characters are more interesting and give them more story time than gotten the book.

Like the leprechaun he died pretty quick in the book spoilers. Yeah I was going to enjoy this character. Um so yes makes us want to go the leprechaun. The leprechaun.

The leprechaun. The leprechaun. The leprechaun. Yes well by you Sami, are you all are being watching?

Other than the leprechaun. We are doing winds well soon as well so don't we? Um I like being with him. Feel.

I'll be watching this week. Um I'll be watching on this this week. No I don't. I'll be watching all the rumors.

Oh George I'll be watching all the rumors. I'll be watching all the rumors tomorrow. Yes but it's tomorrow but I recorded on that. Um but I've been watching a lot of Judge Romero documentaries um Invincible is back.

And every Friday it is fucking immense. The series is just so good. And we are almost finished the last day of ender I just I fucking love that so much makes us want to go and jump straight back into the cartoon as soon as we like Finish an episode and I'm like there's a reason you turn it off Sam. You need to go to sleep Oh, it's so good so faithful and I just love him so much.

I just want to give that guy just a big cuddle He's a big cuddle and it's really good Sarah. I kind of recommend it. Especially if you like familiar with the cartoon you'll get so many vibes from it Like look at that look at this and they're going a little bit more detail as well especially on Antoine Town and oh I really really haven't joined us. Cool.

I've not been watching that much. Like I say the gentleman that may never touch it on as well. I'm not going over that too much. Sorry to say guys.

Moon signers hasn't started up again so I've got no moon signogos for years. Oh, safe man. I've got down them hillbillies. Don't you forget me?

Interesting. It's an interesting show. The premise is flawless. People make an illegal whiskey then recording it and showing America that they won't get arrested.

But yeah, I'm having on a Dexter kick again. So we are season season six now with Dexter. So that's the thing. But not other than that we watched Ghostbusters and again go back and watch our thoughts on Ghostbusters.

I'm a bit sad because I felt like I slagged it off a lot of that podcast. I don't think you did. You just give an initial reaction and you know as well as anyone how much reactions change the amount of times that you watch something. It was just an initial reaction.

I just want to say hello to my podcasting partner. Nice of you to join us. All right. I believe that is a yes.

She says down the man's safety empire. Hello. She was showing off a teacher. She wasn't flashing everyone.

Sorry. Calm down. They didn't hear the conversation beforehand. That's fine.

Do you do do do do you lovely discolabre then Sammy? Yes. Well, everything discussed in today's episode is our opinions and our opinions alone. If you'd like to discuss anything from today's episode, please come and join us on the Facebook page of discord or the comment section where we can have an open discussion.

But what we want to have is anyone coming for us and opinions around we can all agree to disagree in fandom. So let's keep it fun. Keep it kind and keep the toxic behavior out of her nerdism. Yes.

And just get a cheap plug in as well. If you want to buy a t-shirt like Sarah's got and you can go to Blaine Marvellous website or Facebook page. She has a lot of good array of t-shirts, nerdy t-shirts on offer. So buy a t-shirt from Dan.

That's an endorsement from Paul. I love that. You give it on to the end. Yes.

I agree. I agree. Sorry. Before we get into MPI records, you know what I like to do before we get into the discussion of it, the taglines.

Yes. Just getting quite aggressive in these later episodes now, Sammy. There's like... It's like one it's Sam's way.

Yeah. From D1, it's me and my wig. Have you not figured that one out yet? Yeah.

23 years I take work. I'm making it all of this. Yes. Brussy.

Maybe that's me. Maybe that's me. Let's wave it off of Savvy's mum to some, you know? It's like Stockhorn, Southern, it's like, it's fine, you're kicked in.

Oh, Carol. Oh, Dawn, she hears any M should come to call and let's just leave, Abi. Hi, I'm... Right, 10 lines.

I've got a company where it's fine. We hear taglines. Taglines. And you guess what the me and one was?

Dan Man! Dan Man, Save the Empire. Second one, Autumn Midnight. Autumn Midnight, yes.

Yeah, they're selling music, but they're not selling out. The only one that didn't sell out in the night is just the end. The music is the glue of the world. It holds it all together.

Right. And the last one, which I think actually is my favourite. What's with today? Today?

Today? Today? Today? The other taglines I think they are fucking fantastic, especially their selling music, but not selling out.

Oh, this movie, let's be honest, it can't be any more 90s. This is busy, everything. It's so 90s. The 90s movie from here.

Like, from Jurassic Park, Forest Gump. It's a movie of generations. Yeah, it's such a 90 soundtrack. It's just fantastic.

The soundtrack is fucking great. It is one of the best soundtracks out there. I'll give it that the jig what deserves. The always thing that does surprise me about this as well, it's quite an inclusive movie as well.

Like, it doesn't just, if you think about music, it'll be like, all these, like, Prima, Donna's. It's not like Chelsea High Fidelity style where you'd say, the same character is taught about the same type of genre of music and having the same tears. They've got people who love rock, they've got people who love soul, they've got people who love a bit of everything teeny bop. It's quite interesting to see.

And everyone kind of had these type of friend groups as well, because I know, again, this is going to sound like a weird comparison. This is very much quite similar, long lines to the breakfast club. This is the 90s version of the breakfast club. Except for Nina, the fuck was wearing detention because none of these fuckers would turn up.

Except for the title, because she was a bit funny to choose. And just to get this up so everyone feels better. She was 17 in this movie. So he's allowed to think that.

It's all clear. Just. He was all the people. It's all clear.

You're not going to be putting the name. They would have been trouble on this anyway, because if anyone after themselves up, I got you sugar was her step down. We did really awkward. It's really fucking weird.

Oh, it's awkward. Oh, yeah. So, Sammy's touch on it. Probably is the greatest soundtrack beyond two other films I would say is better.

The only two other two soundtracks I would say is better than this. I'm going to have lost voice. Yeah. And watch.

Yeah. And I get the crows off. Crows is the cure on repeat. So I can't really give the cure the cure too much.

What's your problem with the killer? It's just one song loop. Isn't it really. One thing about the soundtrack though.

I don't think there's enough of the actual music used to the movie on the soundtrack. I was very sad in my use. And I actually counted I went through the credits and I counted how many songs we used and it was about 45 I remember rightly. Yeah.

I was the same. Obviously when it was all CDs and so about that obviously now you can get on Spotify. You can get all these different playlists and obviously people have made with all of the songs on as opposed to the actual official soundtrack. the actual official soundtrack, which is slightly better.

Wasn't there, like an alternative one, that came out not too long, a few years maybe like a 10 year anniversary. I know there was a like a re-couched with more Rex Manning in the movie version. And with the most disgusting scene ever with Rex Manning in it, yes, that came out on an anniversary one. Apparently there is like somewhere in a couldn't room floor, loads and loads of footage of Warren and his sister.

Sorry, but. Well Warren who only until today I realized what he said his name was, Warren V. Yeah, did you talk about Warren? Never thought we'd heard the V.I.P.A.D.

I only heard the Warren part and I went, he's names actually not Warren. That's why we're screaming. I'm so Warren. Yeah.

Yeah, the Lord on the couldn't room floor of him and his sister. Right. Interestingly on the couldn't room floor, there's also obviously cut reels and cut parts from talking to the Guay Bean in it. Yes, he asked it to be cut out of it because he was struggling with an alcohol detection at the time and checked himself at a rehab.

Oh right, did not know that. It's weird if you go and look on, if you go on Google and pay records and look at the pass list, he's there. Yeah, it's still actually in the credits of my version. I was still getting paid, so.

You'll be getting residuals for that, it's fine. It's good. Toby did good. So can you remember the first time you're watching this movie?

I know I've gone back. It's because we're not that old really, but yes. I mean, I'm only 25, so I know what he has to do. If you're 25 and so am I.

To be fair, you probably saw 25, but that's very, but yeah. Oh, really? Yeah. But yes, I can remember because I think I saw it on DVD.

It was, I think it was around the time I watched Mollrats. So I think I watched Mollrats first, then I watched this because I'm sure there was an advertisement because you know when like videos and DVDs used to have like movie trailers before you watched the film and there was a trailer on the video for more rats and then there's a trailer for Empire Records on the same one. Can't remember the film, but I just went, Mollrats looks interesting. And I was like, oh, this, like, this looks class like Empire Records.

Why have not heard anything? Did it get a similar one? Did it go straight to DVD? I was straight to VVHS.

Right. Absolutely bombed at the cinema apparently when it was released. And then kind of, it was one of those films that kind of rolled us up to be a bit of a, you know, a bit of a legendary nerd culture film. It was, I can say why though, it was like very much of its generation of its time, especially like, let's just take a moment and talk about the clothing in this movie.

Oh, I know. It's like a, as a 40 year old, I'm sorry, but those skirts. Yeah. That's not what you were saying when you were in your eyes.

Well, as a 17 year old, I was fully wanting to wear those skirts. Yeah. I think they definitely had the legs like when he was like, we're going to go and lift our legs on this movie, kind of sold it on themselves. Or miles and miles.

Yeah. Yeah. So we're going to this movie is just fucking unreal, but we'll get into that in a bit. I remember watching this with a group of friends I had before my college group of friends.

You had friends before us. Things. You know what I did. And I know it was already rid of us, wasn't it?

I mean, you won in the end. You're stuck with us. You're stuck with us. You're stuck with us.

So it was, but it was around the time of like the mall rats time and this kind of like came alongside it. It's like mall rats and this comes like hand in hand for some reason. And it just became everything. I was going to say, if you watch mall rats and this back to back, you could think it was like a mall rat sequel and away.

Just with different characters. Yeah. Just in a different part of the mall is this like record shop. It's just outside of it or something.

And but yeah, it just became everything. And this was the movie of like my life, like, and then eventually seced over into the friends that did make a college and they were just as enthusiastic about this movie as I was. To be fair, the French. You made a college wall that would in Dix it to be fair.

So that's fine. There is two of them. Well, that was about it. I think I talk about you guys, but I think I am when watching the film, there is not one single character within that film that you, apart from maybe Rex Malin that you don't really like resonate with is there are little bit of personalities that you can kind of resonate with either it is anyway.

It definitely felt like a lot like my friends group back at the time. And even though I bad my losing shit like that, like we all had moments like as a film go to the movie, we were so because a lot of hormones, a lot of emotional tangents go through this movie. We pretty much done the same like the amount of times like we fell out, argued, kissed and made up some of us kissed literally a minute. I was going to say it.

Never fallen out. How many years? We have never fallen out. It was everyone else around us.

Everyone else around us and me and her like, nah. I was like, what? I didn't know where to put a hormone. That was the problem.

Was it a sister's son? Yeah, that's true. What about you Sarah? What was your first experience with the Empire?

I think I also seen it about a year or two after its release. At the time I was going to like gigs twice a week at either of the Newcastle universities. But I was in the library like a fiber. I was going to say I just wanted to say that I was buying a melody maker and NMB every weekend.

It was a huge part of my life. It was just inevitable that I crossed paths with this movie. I still watch it twice a year at least. Oh yeah, it's all two.

It's all my goal twos. It's one of those that reminds me of good times with my group of friends. There was a group of four of us mainly. And when we used to see at each other's houses, we would always watch Empire Records.

Do you think this would have worked better? I know he said it flopped big style when it first came out of the cinema. Do you think this would have worked better as a TV show? No, I don't think so.

Just the amount of characters that we had. Yeah, let me know that but it might now. I just wanted to understand the relationship between Lucas and Lucas, sorry, and Joe. That was one kind of dynamic because they hint on the father and son relationship.

I just wanted to know a little bit more detail. Deb was an intriguing character. She went through all the emotions then she was like everything. You know that all sorts.

But I just I don't know that there was enough with Liv Tyler to understand her. Yeah. Yeah, she really was. A stressed out teenager who was obviously having far too much pressure put on her.

I think that we hadn't seen and seen by the bell Jesse. It reminds me so much of Jesse and say back to the bell. You know what's quite interesting? You know what's quite interesting though?

Like the characters I know we talk about the characters now. The male characters were a little bit boring other than Lucas. Like Mark was just the tickles off the wall. Everything.

Mark was the tickle bouncing off the wall that comedy element that you have to have. I have five people we went to college with who remind me of the character of Mark. Yeah. I also think that Eddie is MVP.

Eddie is one. I love Eddie's the most valuable player in this movie. Yeah. He's there exactly when you need him.

I've done a couple of notes on this one. It arrives exactly when you need him to break attention of what's currently happening. You know, he's short with pizza to break attention of what's happening in the staff room after everybody finds out Lucas's money. After the find out, which is everyone else was like, well, that was the pizza.

It wasn't it. Yeah. Yeah. It's not.

It's not creepy. He's kind of got this naive about him. Like when he's sitting at the table outside the quarry and he just takes the bar off and boxes on the table. He's not posted about it.

I know some blogs that would have kind of put that bar on their face and split it. I mean, you would have got to break it. You leave. I mean, you would have slipped that bar off your filthy animal.

You know, it provides a perfect get away from Mark with the brownies. He just seems genuinely nice and chill and like, you know, the perfect role in the store as well, like the vinyl section. He genuinely cares about how this person will treat the vinyl. He cares that much about it.

You know, it's lovely. It's just so easy. That's a good idea. That's a good idea.

That's a good idea. That's a good idea. I thought E.G. was boring.

It was the heartthrob. It was not the heartthrob. It was the heartthrob. It was, you know, you've got all 90 touch rub with the curtains.

I was the green. I was here. I was here. I was here this year.

I earned a new car and I had a new car and a new car and so that's it. I've been doing a bunch of work, and I, I've been doing a bunch of unused gear Piano for him burning marks a day. Yes. That was a non necessary mean thing.

Yes. But, um, but yeah, exactly. On the camera. But I can't remember see.

But I can't remember. Well, I have a friend who was into Quar at the time as well. So I just love the fact that you walk all the bands. lines to court like if you walk walking from this movie the likelihood is always one of Mark is gonna be a Mark love the bit where he just kind of like you know how you answer the phone and I have talked on midnight and of course midnight.

One of my two courses that one and help me help me your god. It's any point I'm gonna start a band over what are you gonna call it? Mark. I was going to say not with the kids to be all trippy and I can tell it.

No. Of course Mark says the day he has the idea to call the stars. Mark says it Mark says it's a without Mark. Without Mark.

You don't have the Empire saved. I used to be a great character. I'll tell you about my con and say all the member ball and just probably be a genius. I'm the other guy.

It was just yeah. It was there. It was even like his heart. Good looking guy.

Well, that's what I can't remember. It was again just two people that looked exactly the same just being in for looks really but they didn't bring anything different on you. He was there for basically the music. He was there for that.

You know, Epic's on at the end of the day. Yeah. Because that's his son. It's a very problematic person in real life.

Really problematic. To go a bit deep with you now as well. So because I was talking about the carol so soon. Well, it was called a cold.

I was going to take quick. That's all. No foreplay. I'm going to drive.

That is him. I'm sorry. This is why I can't be around each other too much. That's the way I'm going to be against every get all the gods.

I'm going to get his old shut down. Not just yet. We've had Graham on UCF it's. I know.

You've YouTube. Let's have Graham on it's good. Well, I'm good. I'm safe.

So which characters like let's talk about 90 Sam 90's Emma 90 Sarah, which character is more related to your relate to back then? And then afterwards we'll see which character you relate to now. Okay. Right.

And so I'm going to throw a semi under the water with it because she looks like she was planning a little bit. No, no, 90 90 Sam would be fucking dead because she just she just yeah, look, you're going to be saying all the immortions just being a debut on the internet. Oh, yeah. That is totally ugly me.

If anyone's going to go and fucking shave their hair off, it's going to be me. And 47 is also dead because there's no fucking difference. It doesn't change. Like I still I am still an emotional wreck.

And I still would shave me hair off in a job with a hat just because of fucking annoyed us. And there's no difference between 90 Sam and so I got a 2000 subscribers. You should have you heard. No, no, no, for Charlie.

Yes. To be fair, though, to be fair, you got a fan of last time with for Charlie. So I think they had to have in my you meet with your four pages as well. So well done there.

A lot more on Instagram for them. So all hands. A really nice town. It was Pete's well, you're Sarah.

We'll see if in 90 Sarah. The 90s. I'll probably go with with with some choice of debt. So he's all Blake and Darkin.

Yes. I want to be the big dark girl. That's kind of like, oh, I can't imagine you like that. I used to hang around all the gods one.

I can't imagine you giving them badges. More people. All the charters just used to call me the freak of the corner. Right.

Bless you. Okay. It's so about now, Sarah. I think now Sarah's more going with cure.

Right. All right. So you're the you're the one that's right. No man.

I started back and I go, what is going on around me? I wish I would play the drums. I would do that so much more to stress out. Seen as a razor as well.

Yeah. Yes. Okay. Yeah.

It was actually complaining. Yeah. I could tell that's one thing because you know, you know when someone's not really really like just hidden things and nothing but you could tell like just I know they do a clever edit and stuff. But I don't think that would happen.

So that was clever. I don't think that was clever. We're not going to the Kevin Smith style about it. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I'm going to be brutally honest and probably see it back then I was probably more Gina.

I was probably the funniest of the second world character. Trying to please everyone and just being passive aggressive when I was a whole. Yes. I will.

Like say, I like to dip my pen in any ink that was there. Yes. You dated. I was so glad you put it that way.

But yes. Probably Gina. But probably now Lucas. I can probably say because I'm I love his style and I love that he's kind of always got that positive and I that's what I hope I am now.

But that's probably what sorry, no, I'll change me answer a little bit. I'll be a bit of a ticker. I'll probably say I want to be more Lucas. I'll probably be a bit more Mark.

Yeah. I'm going to get a jig. Fucking absolute manic to then being like all of a sudden switching that you can switch it on and just go right and shoot. Yes.

I don't know how the fuck you do it. What you do and the plan comes together. The plan always it always works out in the end. And he just goes up to random build and kiss the feet.

You know who that was? Yes. We've learned the same back in. It was my co-field saying to these daughters.

No, it's all co-field. That's all that. I've done lots of random stuff. I've never went up and kissed at the woman's ring.

No, first tomorrow. Could be the first. We should come and say us. I want to be scared.

The people. I want to be scared. Always be scared. That's fine.

I think for me, I'd have to go with the same fit as you Paul. In the 90s, I was very, very much the brand is I'm like a character more I would say, but temperament than anything else. You add very much that temperament. You would blow up very easily.

Absolutely. I mean, I'm an 100% absolutely would lose my time in a heart rate. I am. And it was also the the insecurities.

I am way back in the 90s. I was teenage. I already tried the years. You know, and it was the insecurities of then leading to as you saw, nicely put it to dip in dip in my pen and you and you weren't that you weren't that far.

You weren't that far. You weren't that far. You weren't that far. You weren't that far.

You weren't that far. And it was like an into it. Well, that was before the years. I was.

I was. I was. I was. I was.

I was. You know, this false confidence. Yeah. If, you know, leading guys on and you know, like she doesn't waste rex manne and you know, she doesn't because she can and she gets a confidence and there's a personal part of me when I'm watching it.

Think it's because of her insecurities. Yeah. Like the false confidence that she builds a bit of it. Me now I unfortunately go to be very neurotic.

So I'm probably more if you can tell his character now. And just put this out there. Emma is not a speed addict. She does not take this.

No, no, no, no. Oh, getting all the references out now as well. For a movie that is like, again, can be put in one word cliche. That is probably the most best way to describe empire idols.

Every cliche that is basically being wrote or talked about in the 90s is probably in this movie. But it is one with some actual real depth as well. Because it goes through topics or conversations that weren't like very taboo other time. Like say, a taboo now.

We're talking about suicide and they're going quite deals about life and death and feel like relationships as well. Like having a young lady like a lived out of the age still being a virgin in front of her, like losing it for the first time as well. It's quite an interesting talk, especially in the surrounding and sludge shaming as well. Again, sludge shaming has been going around for many years and it still was prevalent in this movie.

And this is still prevalent today as Mark, which is quite sad because as we say, a man can go around and be hailed as like say, oh, he's God's gift or he's a hero for doing things that if a woman did would be getting a scarlet letter, be called a harlot and stuff like that. Where again, sex positivity is not a bad thing if it should be broadcast. And again, not be fucking celebrated. Absolutely.

And I think this movie does it does it on the line where it's not too condescending as well at times, but again, it does flitter quite close in my view. But again, that's just like a male view rather than like a female view as well. I don't know how you guys felt that. I love the scene when it all blows up, but I also love the scene afterwards where all she can think about, she in that argument, she threw out all about her promiscuous ways.

But when she's thinking back on her in a loving way, that's not where she goes. And she thinks about all of the good parts about her is that she's brave. In every aspect of her life that she's a brave person. So I adore that scene there.

Lived Taylor really does do my head in this movie sometimes. I thought that. Yes, it is. Oh, it's just when she screams in George's face as well.

Fuck, Jesus. That's just new, right? Yeah, they're just saying that is quite... I wouldn't say...

I would use the words uncomfortable. It is like the Lived Tada and Rex Mann insane. Where... Oh, it's good, cheese.

When she's got... That's the extended lawn man. Ew! When she kind of strips off into her underwear and he just goes, just takes a deep breath and just undosies, trousers and that kind of freaks her out a bit as well.

I don't like blue cheese. It's because of what he says in the extended one. He gets the bottle of blue cheese on the table, shakes it and goes, I hope you like blue cheese and that's why she runs out. Yeah, because it's gross.

Because it's just a... But the way that he just opens his trousers in the cut one just makes I think... Oh, this is too easy. There's no romance here.

I don't think I've ever seen the cut one. If I'm honest, I think I've never seen the cut one. He just opens his trousers. It's like presents himself and she freaks out and runs out.

But it's just in her head that she filled up this romantic scene where he's going to sweep her off her feet and it's everything that she ever wanted in her first time. It's where she just plays her naivety because, you know, like you say, young girls, little virgin, thinks this rock star is going to sweep her off. As young as maybe younger teenage girls, we've all had that. I'm so in love with Nick Hartle for the battery boys.

And if I ever met them, I would give it to him. I would give it to him. I would give it to him. He's going to sweep his office and realize he hates that.

That's not what happens. He's probably has every woman across the world. He's probably fucking riddled. He's probably absolutely riddled.

dirty bastard. Definitely. I mean, he was a cool rider. He was a cool rider.

Oh, God. Oh, no. Oh, no. No.

So one of the most interesting things I read today about this movie, and I think this is what made us think how much they actually, like, fucking cared about it. Rex, man and day. April 8th. We were used because it's the day that Kirk of Ben died.

Oh, right. And it was the day that music, in their mind, the generation died. And the one that's got, yeah, and the one that's on her that day with the red man and day. Oh, come on, they could do better things than that.
