We're not expecting loads of you straight away because this is going to be a spoiler episode. Oh, of course, spoilers. So just before we do get started and get into it, if you haven't watched Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, this we are going to be throwing out spoilers. We are going to be talking about movie in depth.

Well, there's in depth as we can because we're going to be on again tonight. So it's not going to be a three hour podcast. I'm not going to allow that. But we are going to tell about key characters, key points, things we like, things we didn't like.

But yes, so if you haven't seen the movie, this is your final warning, turn away, turn away now or have the movie spoiled. Bye. Bye nerds. Yes.

Like you guys have been great. But I've been reading a lot of shit on the internet and a lot of fandoms. I've showed themselves over the last few days. And again, this is me being serious and being disappointed in them as well.

The amount of key of keeping and bullshit I have seen over this course was just frozen empire movie that I've seen online is fucking embarrassing. And anyone who's been like that, you should be fucking ashamed of yourselves. And yes, I do mean, because this is where I am proud of what we do at Nodio North and on the Nodio North community in the Facebook page. Everyone's embraced and everyone's allowed to own opinion.

The amount of people that's being shut with down screamed out that the wrong for saying the like this movie for this movie for this movie for having an opinion. It's it brings out the worst and like fandoms and this is why we do what we do just to show that you don't have to be like that. So cut to say go fuck yourself, please. Yeah, literally go fuck yourselves.

I agree. And I'm sure Lee agrees and everyone else in the community, we don't do gay at the time. Everyone has an opinion and the greatest conversations come out of them opinions. This is what it was all started for is to have great conversations about fandoms.

Yes, so I saw the movie yesterday. I think we all saw it the same day at the same time, three different locations. I was in our early. Sorry.

You ruined it. I mean, we're mainly late at the same time, different locations. Yes. Obviously I went to the best place because I know you're dead.

I don't know why they give it out the next because then we'll post be open and de-exclusive as well. Emma, I think the 12 o'clock should might be the first one of yesterday's with my still being some left over from. Well, my son had absolutely forgot apart from this green, slimy drink thing and God and it was vital. Yes.

It was horrible. I love some of that sliver juice, please. Let me taste like a serious line and monster mixed up with like slushy and also people like, oh, that sounds nice. No, really, really.

It's the law now. But yes, so I thought it like an hour earlier, I was at the Born Center, you at Dalton Park and Lee was at the middle center of the posh seats. Yeah, I was peasants in the back. Yes, my cinema was quite empty as well.

So I was a bit surprised that I was expecting to be packed and sold out. But apparently when Donna went on last night, that there was only two or three seats left. So, so it must be like the latest season or the latest sessions or the latest screenings did a little bit better. But yes, we had a really shitty, like, ghostbuster car outside.

I'll be honest, it was a first that was painted into a ghostbuster car and I was like, oh, no, it tried, but it wasn't quite at all one. We had a cardboard picture of the ghostbuster sign that had been hand drawn stuck on the door of the cinema where we were going. That's what we had. But there was a lovely, sweet woman.

She didn't, we just sat down and she went, oh, that drink mind you, that'll kick your in the teeth when you drink it for the first time. And I was like, all right, thank you for the warning. She was like, and then she noticed me jump. She started talking about me jumping and she was telling us how kids get huge ghostbusters fans and they were like waving their and plushies at us.

And then there were really, she was talking about the front door and how she was having photographs taken outside the front door and that. And then I was like, oh, you're so sweet. You're so sweet. And then Paul, I was like, do you, do you know?

No, no, but it was just come best friends do the joys. She's because Boston makes you feel good. Makes you feel good. I even had me, we creature bag and she went, oh, my God, I'm trying to go.

Is that the slimmer bag too? And I was like, no, bless her. I'm actually going down to the mirror center because they had the Northeast Ghostbusters there. Yeah, nice guys.

Is that who was on at the North East Comic Con? Yeah, and you can't see the GB, the Northeast, the GB Ghostbusters that's there. They're really nice guys. And then I was like trying to take photo from them and back to the school and I couldn't get you photo taken with them, but there was lots of kids getting there.

I can't go in like, wait with all the kids. You'll be knee good at Disneyland when you say all the kids go up getting curls up like silly and stuff. You just got to push them out the way. I haven't pushed the kids all the way, but I haven't been doing that before.

Oh, yes. So initial thoughts on the movie before we go in in a depth, like, yeah, did you just enjoy it? So late? We'll let you go first because I know Sammy's going to burst.

I loved it. Yeah, it wasn't the best of the Ghostbusters franchises because I think the first one is the best. You can't talk about the first one. Yeah.

But I don't see why anyone's given it any shit at all. It was amazing film. It was the hard-felt moments in. It built upon the law and it gave us a lot to work with for the future as well.

Right, and the podcast because he's just said it absolutely perfectly right there. He really did. Well, he was. Oh, Jesus.

So Sammy, what do you feel? I love this. I absolutely love this. I love the fact that now GB two is, is confirmed as kind of so, can we get out of it now?

The fandom can't get out of it. GB two is kind of. I love the fact that we was like just straight in it. No explanations.

I mean, we'll get into that in a second, but I just, I loved it from start to finish. I don't get wrong. I know when I got this in a month. If I am in in pain, because I need to go for a week.

I will not go. I had no choice during this. And it was I felt like we're in a bit of a long moment. So I was like, I feel like I can go now.

And so I did Mr. Tiny, tiny little segment and I never normally do that. But it was some the worst and the moments, but it built up as it went on. But overall, we fucking loved it.

We are put I smiled all the way through this movie. So again, like I said, I know we don't trash things or anything. I do have a few thoughts and opinions on the film, which we will get new when we go through. So because a lot of the stuff I'm going to be saying might sound negative, but it's not.

It's more like missed opportunities of what this has had every element or everything included in the film. Yeah. For it to be a barnstorming classic. It could have even went past, goes most as one with the level and things it had the opportunity to do.

But it didn't show any restraint. It kind of went for the approach of having everything in the kitchen sink in it, rather, but not the stuff I wanted, if that makes sense, that could have been as a film by itself. I enjoyed it. It was a good film.

But when you watch it back, and I think if you watch it back on multiple views, you'll see it. It's like, shit, this could have been brilliant. This could have been something that changed things. There is a couple of plot holes that we can discuss as we go along.

And maybe it's something I've missed or maybe you feel exactly the same way, but we'll go through it as we go through the movie. So, Sammy, as you said, the start with Tony, interestingly, I liked the whole going back in time saying the firehouse. Oh, I love that. And seeing the eventually, the adventure society, that was really interesting.

Such a good set as well, wasn't it? Like in the costumes and the way that it looked, this whole film looked like you could literally stick animation over the top of it. And it was just the real Ghostbusters, like all the way through, which I thought was a perfect homage to it. And I love the opening, seeing the opening explanation.

And it was so small. And this is what I've loved about this whole movie. With this, we're in a position now with Ghostbusters where if you don't know, you don't know, it's as simple as that. You've got three other movies to go back over and watch.

And there was just no explanations whatsoever. And I love that about this. What were you like? What were you like, how did you feel about the opening, like going back in time, seeing actual firemen in the firehouse?

Yeah, it was great. I mean, I wasn't too bothered about the firemen. It's more like, again, like building up on the law, which I mentioned before, which is the firemaster. The introduction.

And it's like, there was technically Ghostbusters back back then. Yeah. It's like that's the building up on even more and like, yeah. Sorry, I've got to catch on.

That's all I can say about that now. No, it's kind of like, sure did the risks or like what was going to be happening as well. And then it was the touch the door and said, oh, it's expected to be hot and it was like, it's freezing. And then he's hand start freezing.

Oh shit. And when you went in that room, it was pure horror movie. It wasn't a kid's movie at this point. When you say the speaking of going round and the guy's hand detached and it's detached.

Oh, yeah. Looked for him a while. And then the just like, the don't overactive, the door over egg, like, like, bring out the just like kind of walking around the room and you're kind of like experiencing it like the edit as well. So it was kind of like, you don't know what kind of went on, but you know, something bad happened.

And then you see, as you said, the guy, the woman in the outfit with the old and you thought, oh, and then it kicks back to modern day and we see, like, say, the Spenglers. The Spenglers doing what Spenglers do is just destroy Manhattan. I loved this opening scene so much again, no explanation. There's no, we don't have to know why they are there.

They are just there as Ghostbusters as a family pack of sponsors. Now fucking love that opening scene so much. No, definitely. The family dynamic.

I was, you know, the family dynamic. Sorry. Not even just the audience is like getting no explanation. It's like, it's not even explaining about the people that are also in the traffic.

Having to be explained, it was just like, they know what's going on. Yeah. And it's established by the police officer sitting in the car, like, should we call this in? No, these guys have got it.

Yeah. It's like, it's already established. We just along there for the ride. And I was fucking living in that moment, especially with Phoebe.

I just love Phoebe so much. I've looked at her arc in this film was fantastic. I'm not going to give any spoilers just yet, but yeah, I can understand where, but I think the family dynamic between them. I was expecting them to moved on a lot more than where they were still at from the last movie.

Because it kind of like, you kind of thought the family dynamic had been closed because the distance between Phoebe and her mother had been closed with the course of a gone. Like kind of seeing that, the kind of like getting together and my thing. It's seen to be in the exact same places where they were from the last movie. So the growth wise, it kind of left us a little bit frustrated that there was still lingering over that aspect a bit more where the tension between Phoebe and a man where like, I think there's been a few times as well, like Phoebe resents and doesn't even say if you were a like a spangler, you would be working on the rather than actual sports.

But again, it's, it's, as he said, I can understand, but for a movie as a whole and I'll get this out the way it did feel very broaded. And I think there's a lot of people who are going on where I think the option would have been if there was in the editing room, you could have got rid of probably two or three characters or moved a few of the characters to, to a sequel. This could have been two movies in one with the stories that they were trying to tell with, as you said, the young Ghostbusters and the older Ghostbusters, of course, was not quite ready to move on yet. That was kind of like the way, again, I was living for it.

Like anything to do with that, that acro I don't mean as rear. I wanted more, Bill Murray, I wanted more, but it was kind of like fighting against each other. It's like you're telling this story, but then you're telling this story at the same time. And that was, again, not saying it's a bad, bad movie or bad story.

It's just, it could have been done, definitely, or done, it didn't have to be done at the same time. It felt very much like the new Jurassic Park movie, where it was telling two different stories of the older Jurassic Park characters and the new Jurassic Park characters going for the different stories at the same time. I can't, yeah, I do think you're pointing away. There's a few characters who, quite honestly, if you take them out, it wouldn't have made any difference in the story.

They really need to figure out Trevor, if they're going to move forward, they really need to figure out where Trevor fits in this whole place because that poor lad is just there for their sake. I feel like it's just a name, and that's it alone. And to be honest, Trevor could do so much more. But when it came down to the old and the new, I feel like the old took a back seat.

And it wasn't about them. I must say, Dan Aykroyd in this movie was fucking amazing for a man who hasn't done much work acting wise for a while. He fucking, I say this to Anthony Wave all night. How does he just dip into these memories and go, right, this is rare stance, and I am now back to being rare stance again because you're always going to need a rare stance.

He is the knowledge guy, and this is why I love the introduction of the Paranormal Center. Oh, 100%. And the guy, what was his name, Jim Castellaz, Lars' character. He, you need characters like him to progress it forward because Dan's not going to be around forever, sadly.

And the way that he was talking in this movie, kind of like he wanted to tap out already. But I love how knowledgeable Ray still is to this day. You can tell all he does is just sit in these little occult books and just read all days. No, I think it did need Ray in this movie as well.

The way they used Ray was great. I absolutely adored it. Like, I'll talk about a few of the characters I think we could have cut or would have helped with the storyline if we didn't have them in. Didn't need podcasts.

Even though a lot of people say Logan Kim was fucking on his A game, I was like, yes, he was quite funny when he was in it, but take him away from it, take him out of it. There is no need for him to be there. And it's a bit of a plot all that they've just moved up to New York from where the last film was this Missouri or like a farm. Yeah, you can go.

Well, it's funny. Didn't know he's funny. He thinks he's at Spies camp. As well.

Yeah, that was the stupid one. Again, character didn't play the part in the first one. Did she really play a part of the first one? She was the one that kind of because she helped Finn discover the minds and again, it's like teenage love.

So I can understand that aspect. It worked well for afterlife, but this one. She didn't need to be there. And it was kind of like, oh yeah, if you would like doing this one, we're going to find you a place in this one.

But going back to the podcast element as well, because I know we'll talk about it later on him being in this movie kind of devalued or not devalued. Middle question, Phoebe's Mortar in the movie as well, because, like I said, with her, I've lived with the course. I can't remember now. Was it?

Melody. Melody. Melody. So to be friends of course, because she, as he said, Phoebe is a loner.

Phoebe struggles making friends, but she made a friend in afterlife with podcast. So she's in New York, podcast is there and raised there as well. So if she was feeling like, like, where she felt with her mother and feeling like alone, she would have went to them. And that would have like, say, give it out instead of finding another lost soul in quite literally in melody.

And that kind of for me was like, Phoebe wouldn't have made that choice because she's no longer that lonely lost little girl that she was enough to life. And I get that to a certain degree, but I feel with Phoebe, she's trying to be grown up before at time. And she doesn't feel like, because she's a teenager, that a lot of people understand her. And I kind of get the whole thing with podcast and the friendship side because she did manage to create that friendship in afterlife.

But I just think that she felt like Melody understood that better than anyone was at the time, because at the time, she had a mom, she had Mr. Gruberson, who was, you know, on our case and even Trevor to a degree, like, kind of stop not from doing something that she clearly is passionate about doing. And this course just kind of like, I don't know, maybe reaffirmed it. It's okay.

So she kind of like, you leaned into it. But if you take the podcast out of the equation, it would have been more sense because she would have been the one there. Totally, totally great that because she would have been completely isolated. But holy shit, did nobody else get chills when we actually had a ghost that was not a monster.

The only time we've ever seen that, even the Scallary brothers in Ghostbusters II, or the Jogger in, you know what I mean? Someone pointed out that obviously, it was in the Ghostbusters universe, there are so many different styles of course, and we as Ghostbusters fans just come to accept that is the norm. And when we do get these ones that are real life people and they have consciousness and melody remembers our memories, remembers our family, she is, you know, she is just as a person she was when she was alive. The real life that the Ghostbusters have been dicks to other ghosts who are actual people, you know, the Jogger who's running along.

Nobody actually stood to talk to him and say, Hey, I'll help you pass over to the other side. We'll just trap your instead and I was in stitches when I was listening after that. I think that's a fair point. So what do you think that's down to choice though as well, because if you look back to the first, of course, was this movie, it's kind of references a little bit, you go back to the librarian, the librarian looks normal until you piss around.

Until she doesn't until she doesn't. Press the button and go. So I'm wondering as well, if melody is just that's her opinions there, but if you kind of what you're turning to a bend. Yeah, I'm not going to ask for it to be hell of that line.

And again, coming back to one of my main grapes of the film. The first part of the film is the only time you really say them busting ghosts. I'll be through you have to wait until the end before they actually strap up again and see a ghost busting so the movie is like two hours long. And we don't even get a montage of course instead of trap or ghosts 100.

That is one thing that is missing because it's montages in the first one montage in the second one. And yeah, right, there was no montage in the third one. That would have been that would have been quite fitting that would have fitted in with the way things are. And it would have given you a more understanding of the family dynamic when they're going through like learning how to be ghost busters learning all the tricks of the trades and how they got like again you don't need no how they got to New York but like it'll be nice to see how they react to certain or what type of like entities that they've came into contact with.

And it would have been like a say a good humor point as well because after these films have to be funny, they're comedy and the jokes have to be there. But again, I'll try to get all the negative stuff out first. Talk about how much I like this movie. The soundtrack for this movie fucking sucked.

I'm sorry. I'm sure that you are back to like trying to think of a song that was in the movie. And the song from the first movie like this. Like the first one sounds like me as in second one blouse you, even after life the soundtrack was was in Cape into the movie was entertainer.

And I can't remember a standout song for this guy listening to you. And that's really sad when it comes to course was just blouse you away with like music and like things that you hear, because, and again, this was maybe the eighties guy that's what they used to do with the eighties, like you have to blow the soundtrack and like hit like big hits, big hits rather than like trying to do like mood like change the mood or change the feeling for the film. But that again is Mr. Mark's I know you post up yes it's in it felt like a course post and very much there was very much course post elements but these are the key things that to me like personally I find would make a course post and again you don't even have to go back to play these music do modern things like this song at the end of afterlife with the kind of kind of great a second course in the house or something like that.

That felt like a course post to tune even though like say it was done in the credits but yeah again it just felt like a bit of a miss opportunity for me. I get you because now you've said that I can't think of one song that was in it but I could near me the whole soundtrack for one and two exactly but on every song from them movies are on my playlist and you're right I kind of think of one song from that part of the song. The course post a song by a report junior I love how the shoe horned that in like the head and then they're doing the dance with the report junior as if like that's not a music for your film. That means the course post is in that universe have done that video with Ray Park at junior.

Junior is now part of the course post is law. Yeah it goes to go post is too as well when they go to the kids part is it if you're going to call and go he man so I've been writing. No what's this called? Jason.

Jason Wrightman the dick. And his daughter. But yeah I can say a bit of the things that again could have as I said a film of missed opportunities again use a little bit more editing take away a few of the characters as I said podcast could disappear. Look you could go with it again they didn't need the firemaster even though it was quite fun.

It was very cartoony as he said it was very real gorse busters. Real gorse busters yeah it was an episode of the real gorse busters and Marnajari was fucking phenomenal in this movie. I'm so happy to have them there. Me too.

Everything is in. I just want nothing but the best remember we had like such a rough time with Marvel like the internals and I just want nothing he is he just seems so genuine and I love the fact that he took him he took influence for his character from the real gorse busters and and I love I loved him from start to finish everything he said and did was the comedy element you needed for this movie. But again clear devil's advocate to this as well if you substituted him out and had a bit more Bill Murray would you have been more happy? No no no I think Bill Murray was just there was not to be fair there's actually no reason for Pete Vankerman or to be there.

There was there was no reason to call him other than he just kind of stopped by and said you need reinforcements and what we got from Bill Murray was more than enough for me there's one line and me an anthropologist when we came out because it really it was just pure Bill Murray and it was just everything I needed was the quitting smoking line yeah proud of you then and proud of you now and it was just enough Bill Murray for us to go there that's it because in my head and how I'm looking at it is we do need to start fears and these people out. Oh 100 percent yeah and I feel like that was kind of like the starting point we got it we got a little bit of them and that's okay I'm really happy with what we got but we do need to start to figure out how these don't play a part anymore. Oh no I'm just talking about Bill Murray for a bit because I would say a little bit on Bill Murray how much fun did he actually say that we have because I know when we say Bill Murray he's the most grumpiest cantangerous person in the world and he never says anything nice about and he does phone in a lot of performances let's be honest like if you watch anything he's done over the last few years he doesn't seem to look like he enjoys making movies but he came alive this like say well as soon as he even in the office when he's throwing the pens on him and that was that was very much the Bill Murray from Goresbusters 1 like going back at that aspect and then when he come in like the office he give the old cast the energy that the world lagging. Yeah he riled them up because that's what P.

Fentman does he's a for all he's just I know he's the scientist but he was never the brilliant let's be honest and there is a deleted scene in Goresbusters 1 which is I think all the deleted scenes are surfacing again on YouTube and it is a case of like the two doctors or the three doctors are all getting recognized for their achievements and such and Bill and P. Fentman sent it and went well what about me and he's like well you didn't do anything and he's like but I'm here like and that's all you need from like Bill Murray's character but he genuinely looked like he had a blast he smiled so much throughout this movie even the press two that he's being doing Bill doesn't do press two as like at all but he's gone on at nearly every talk show with the cast and crew and just said nothing but positives he's been doing when he's all little two was where he's being talked openly about his career recently I don't know what if because he's friends are going mate you lost Ivan he's lost Harold and I think I don't know I feel like maybe Bill's having a moment of like shit yeah maybe maybe I need to start enjoying more things because this has been all gonna come to an end soon yeah I wish we did have a bit more Bill Murray for just one more scene in this film and I wish there was some interaction between him and William Arthur um oh yeah he called this one is the one of the peck well the peck like their scenes in the first one and some of the most iconic lines and it would have been great to get them back and have some of that rivalry back instead of just not to the degree where we could have like could you imagine Bill Murray putting his arm around and saying hi this is the mayor this may or this not have a penis well did you not did you not think of the thing you when the whole crowd shout and you need to thank them and then you think of someone you need to thank them Dickless for watching that in the book yes if you go back and listen to the crowd someone shout you need a bankam dickless and he looks around to find out who it was and so they do have a kind of William Arthur in this movie I loved it but I again no explanation if you don't know who this guy is you don't really get to be met he's an asshole I don't know what to get because they almost destroyed the uh new york 20 years ago oh but it is 30 years ago now yeah but if you don't remember they've kind of like throughout time and they'll probably do it again and I don't know why new york keep doing this they try to shift the ghost bus to stuff by saying it's lies and propaganda and that they created all of this because it's like he's really good at spinning shit to be able to get himself to be mayor no this is going to cause us a lot of shit so I'm going to see it now um if you because let's look at the state of America who they keep electing as president and who looks like the money how the potential of getting in a fucking again I can fully understand someone who nearly destroyed new york getting in as um as president just simply called a mayor because of how ridiculous american politics is but also the fact that he could probably spin it and how religious american is american is america is as well so they can probably spin that it's a religious like that it wasn't a ghost it's like it's like so they could have spanned anything that the ghost bus has done because ghost bus bus does remember is all about science and america doesn't believe in science because they're all mmm yeah okay well yeah that's that's my little bit out the way there yeah you both have all the arguments i take back my original statement but with William with William i think again it was another and non-explanated character where if you don't know who he is that's tough shit on you but you don't have to go back and do your homework there was one character though that i lost my mind over and Anthony just didn't see it at all when they're walking in the library and he comes out and i was like it's him and Antoine what does it get him from the first one and i couldn't do the line so all i said was what's that got to do with it and he didn't get it well the thing is all how much balls is reagan for the years because reagan from course was this one wouldn't have been the wall past him and fight and fight his way i thought that would have been vengven's job reagan would have crumbled and stopped stuttering by his friend he just walked past him and just like let's remember the red did get you know possessed by v-goal so he's kind of like he's probably changed in so many ways because of that possession alone and i did love the lion scene i'm not gonna lie even if it was cgi fantastic and i did enjoy it but what i didn't get at my little plot hall how the fuck did they get that lion back so quickly yeah because people in america work quickly apparently that never i just reckon i'll have one round the back just in case i say it's a lion i'm just wondering what in the library just for that bit he said he got banned from the library didn't he yeah and it's never explained why he's banned and i like just my little theory in my head is the way that that library goes to the first one that library goes to the first one that library goes is still there yeah and they've never gone back to try and catch her what if sometime in the past thirty years they've gone there to try and catch her and just destroyed loads of boogs and librarians just being like listen leave out you've not coming back i think i don't know there was some there was some deep connection there with ray and the library goes when he was standing just looking at her and i'm like what have you gone through over the last few years to like be in the first one no if it was but i tell you this is one character who um i feel got a lot of press attention and nodding over airtime he's only in one scene was patenose vault and i never really liked his character i love the ex- i love how the expla end garaka and and i liked all that interaction he was just like the ultimate nerd boy like i loved him but he just it was one scene and i was like oh that's a bit disappointing i thought paten was going to be the way that the like he's being a part of the media too is and everything that he was a huge part of like it's going to be within the ghost was to story and and they just i don't know so to me just felt a bit short with his on that one i'm not talking about paten as well so again next time i've got a bookcase and characters that one could have been nextly under way just by having reid doing his bit there do you know who i thought was going to be who i was going to be rick and raanas oh you know what i think they might have brought that in for rick and i say they weren't able to get him so they just went well actually i read um that had no interesting getting rick and raanas back on this one oh fuck him him and segoni waver there was no reason for segoni waver to be in rick maranas they were like they give up on the first one but i was like could they just be saying that just for you know just to throw us but um because i couldn't see where paten i was actually gonna fit into it and when i said that we're going the library because it's only and it was the way rick said it was only one man who would know and i was like oh my god is lua's totally like working the library now like is that where i really thought that i really thought that was gonna be a lua's totally moment but oh it's a ghost it's coming to get you no it's me fucking cat knocking shit over that's fine actually going back to the cgi comment that you made because that was my biggest fix i thought the first trailer didn't watch anything afterwards i've not i've stayed away from any any videos any clips or anything like that but i when i saw the trailer i was like oh shit this is going to be so heavily cgi and let's be honest the cgi i first in the trailer looked a bit rough i was gengy i was impressed with the cgi restraint or with the usage as well because everything that they used like i know people's complained about the ice i don't know how they could have done the ice any other way but they're not that fine the big bad i thought they'd done that fucking amazingly i thought it was going to look like a car in monster when we saw the trailer this was actually quite imposing when you got when you got face to face with garaka it was incredible even i was and i've no ghost was as well within like practical effects has always been its main focus but i like and i feel like the quickness probably is a lot of practical behind that it looks like that's for instance who did garaka no who cuz i couldn't find out who it was even white did not know it first last year we were there it was oh my god yeah that's who we're who's going to get it's interesting oh i'm so glad you said that because i've been trying to find out what i've been i've typed in every variation through google to see what effects were used and what was practical for garaka because there's definitely something behind it it seems even white was the puppeteer but i'm assuming that means like the guy in like the CGI suit well yeah because he would be cast as a puppeteer you know he did predator right early in one of the two he did one of them he would be classes of puppeteer because of the mechanics going through the suit as well um wow that is amazing i'm so pleased you found that out because it was annoying us but yeah the look of him like i thought it was imposing and again i just we had i wish we had more of him i wish we had the vigo level of like clips with him i know we got like sounds but i i just love these fucking eyes them eyes were fucking amazing and it would have been nice to see you a little bit more yeah when i saw these horns in the room um in the big brass i was like they look like fucking spines they don't look like horns they look like spines and i was like they're definitely these horns i'm thinking clear at all and then when he went to go and get them i was like fuck yes and the way that they kind of grew it wasn't just like these are the horns that we saw on the first ever trailer these were kind of like moving horns and oh they were like so a part of them i loved it not definitely now going like as you said going through the aspects i like we've got a few new characters coming one of my favorites and i didn't expect to love them as much as i did i love james asca caster in this movie i thought i didn't know he was going to be a but i was not my wife afterwards and she listens to his podcast uh with um i've got no where they had um it was a paul road to come on and they were talking about like so uh james being an engross buster and i was talking like he was just going to be a cameo he's a full fucking goss buster he's a fully fledged goss buster i didn't recognize him at first i don't know what's changed about his face but i've got glasses he wore glasses the car can't affect um i don't i've seen him in the red carpet and i was like i know you from somewhere and i just couldn't and at the point did out yesterday but i love that if we just talk for a second the paranormal center where lase's character is based i love the fact that when cindy's kind of gone full circle with his character he was the guy you're needed the steady paycheck he's now the guy who has the paycheck and is now paving it forward and there's not just the goss busters in the firehouse there's the goss busters underground and i love that i absolutely love seeing all of the different gosses in this this one room even the fucking stick disc player what you call in the cd players even that was possessed by something it's working using the slime gun in the background yes the slime gun there's slime bullet in the background there's elements i'm excited for it but there's also elements i'm a little bit worried for because as i said i'm hoping for more i'm hoping with this like as i said this is well enough that it's only so they're going to be sequenced because they don't give a fuck um basically i'm interested in staying like say in new york but again with that it gives them the scope to go bigger so if they go in national and start doing goss busters around the world i i think it might you know i think again you might lose that goss busters fail if that makes sense yeah yeah potentially both what i've read online is that the the whole goss cobs thing that they've got is to build up this like worldwide franchise of goss busters around the world doing stuff because because if you look at the goss busters fandom that's what it is it's a series of people all across the world who have their own little center of goss busters and i kind of get where the goss buster what really got me about people and reviewing this i'm sick of hearing or seeing well it's not afterlife well afterlife is better in when we saw afterlife and i remember when we reviewed this we we sat there and said okay that's all done with now let's move on yeah let's go further let's go and do something different and guess what we fucking did and you're still in fucking like it i you there's some people you're just never going to be able to please i uh and i am i am certainly not one of them i am happy for expansion i am happy to see different aspects i would love the idea of shipping done underground and like this i call secret society of like goss busters like looking into different areas of paranormal activity i'm just fucking here to wash busters change and grower because we kind of keep living in this 40 year pattern of what we've had we have to grow no definitely and that's where like elements could change or move away from like as you said certain all the characters we don't need to see as much as like fenf Winston can be there to pay the checks that's fine uh rear can run the occult shop or like harry's youtube video where the we're turning into information that rear is uh getting stuff from the public of like paranormal yeah and that Winston's paying him to do that because in the last film Winston said that he was just like paying re-addicting the club open yeah um so at least this way re is not just a sponge no but the thing is the rear is like he's so fucking intelligent and he knows he's shaped like it was very evident throughout this whole film that he knows he's shifting you can't you can't get rid of a rear it's like very quickly and what i did love and i knew i did choke up a little bit during this is watching re-and Winston fight yeah it brought back so many memories of goss busters too where i was like a bunch of friggin lights out man and i just i love watching them too because you forget like if you go back and watch one and two they are the closest like i know that it looks like um egon and rear but Winston was always there with them too and him and him and re were going off and doing parties together and when they go down the sewers together it's them two who bought heads because their friendship is so you know strong so when them two were fighting on the stairs i'm like this stop it guys just remember that you're friends be friendly with each other but yeah um it's a difficult one because again when you're talking about the tones of the movie or how because this movie could have been cut down to see um out here one hour twenty and that would have felt like quite like the floor and everything would have been natural that's why i meant earlier where it felt like two movies fighting for each other because you've got all the generation not one lekor that could have been kind of like the telling of this story that's why i like kind of handed over the reins to the new guys and realized that they're gone and then the new guys are fully taken over so that cross over there was meant to be a deleted scene that didn't make the final cut with Bill Murray and Paul Rudd so yes that was the talking that they're generating us yeah so that's supposed to be kind of like kind of like Bill Murray handed over the reins to him aspect so so the cut that out so that would have been interesting to say off it's in the directors got all in the actors that come out later but again i'm not dissing the movie i love the movie i really enjoyed it it is one of the first movies i've seen at the same time it probably didn't have the emotional weird that people were expecting from um afterlife but it had all the right nostalgia things like it had the right to when it didn't go over the top with nostalgia as well like when they're in the when they're in the library rear walk past and see the library ghost that was entertaining so that was good for me and also the new audience as well because like as you said something when you went the picture there was kids there that might not have seen the first-course posters and that might be the first experience i've seen the library ghost but oh look there's a course oh fuck it's a nice little jump scare not as big a jump scare as they're going to get when they see the first one but it's still a step killer it's still like a quite a nice little introduction to all the new but moving through as well like the final act i i was entered in i wanted more of it though that's a thing i could have done with that that's the bit that did feel a bit rushed um but just talk about like probably what's going to be the show we say the controversial part of it as well because basically the idea was a good idea like having Phoebe used in the the tool because it was like foreshadowed early when she asked for as it never as it being tested by humans like to get spread out and she kind of just presumed that would work in essence for that to minute she committed suicide watching when it goes back on Phoebe and you see her dead body lying in that little tube it was a part of breaking to watch it's like essentially it's like essentially a phoebe if this doesn't work phoebe's dead like in this moment right now Phoebe is dead i don't care how beautiful you think that ghost is on the other side that other side is fucking horrific yeah so to have that in in essence a kid's comedy well not a kid's got a teen comedy show is here teenage suicide because like i said the mid realize that phoebe was 14 and sure not it's either very brave or was it a risk we needed or i don't i don't to be honest if you talk that element out of it would have made any difference in the story i don't i thought it was that like she's a teenager still and she's going to make some stupid decisions doesn't matter how much of a genius she is she's still a teenager she's got the teenage hormones of like i really like this person i would do anything for them even going this machine and separate me so from me body so i can spend two minutes with you and yeah again just to throw this idea would have worked better because you said it had to be a human voice because the talk show possession wouldn't be easier if she possessed phoebe for a little while and then spoke the words i mean was that an option i don't know i don't know i probably for me my comfort levels i would have felt more comfortable with that then and again it's probably just maybe in all now i probably wouldn't have felt two seconds of it when i was younger but it does raise an interesting question or a taste level for me if that makes sense yeah i do i do i do go i didn't see it like that initially and not until you've brought it up there i just thought it was a way of showing phoebe that what what actually mad is yeah and the fact of who she's got around her because of that she all the way through the song she feels betrayed by everyone yeah by a man by you know a now new stepdad and and even a brother like she there's so much betrayal in phoebe's head in phoebe's little world of this teenagery world she saw betrayed and she just maybe that's her way of finding out that oh hang on a minute i'm not actually alone like this isn't as it's not as bad as how i've made it out to be because that's what we do as teenagers it's the end of the fucking world moments and that was her end of the world moment until she comes back and realizes oh shit no it's okay i can i can i can i can i can grow up yeah no i i liked like because a lot of people online i'm not saying i didn't like that relationship or that storyline i think it worked nicely and it kind of fed in it just as i said if it took podcast out of it for me it would have had more weird to it and more understanding that she needed someone and like felt alone and yeah absolutely right and i thought that when it happened i was like well podcast there you made that friend in connection and that was really special in afterlife because you could tell she struggled with normal human interaction because she's always been like slightly different and she's and the best part about phoebe is she's always been comfortable with how different she is she doesn't compromise for anyone she is who she is she was still telling fucking the best dad jokes in the in the open and scene but there was just a lot of conflict with phoebe in this one and i was happy to say it's like phoebe phoebe can't just be one note egon was one note that was enough but it was a thing i was happy with something like but yeah but no and i love that as i said phoebe saves the day with with the thoughts i think outside the box like dip in the proton pack and call it with brass so that it affected and it actually hurt the big monster as well another thing i didn't know the law pretty much like vampire's and silver but all ghosts affected more by brass or is it just we'll have to say you we'll have to get your rocky of course to get you in a chealy we'll have to get you it's all out i will have to start throwing brass at you and say that it won't affect it as it was just a little bit of a hierarchy of ghosts now as well haven't we? yeah the lower ghost we've got monster ghosts people ghosts and now god's uh i don't think vigo was really a ghost was he he was more like a sorcerer that it was a day it was a day it was a day yeah who did he a god he was but there was one thing that and said with baraka that was kind of like a bit of a plot hole was this um his story of being he was the something of a king but he was a god he was a king but at the same time was a god and it's like what? it depends what was because it could have been like say a vigo level where he was a like part human and then again it could have went in a bit further but again that's where it could be interesting like it doesn't have to explain us to the ninth degree we couldn't have that conversation now and see it was like why did that work and how did that work so i don't mind that plot all as much the thing where the said that the firehouse has to stay now as it's the plug to the next world i was really really really really really did anyone else scream at the screen when the cap go and the light is green yeah and the trap is clean i was probably screaming in them because i was like we should have put both of them i was like i'm not seeing it um they probably have smoked through the whole film was to see that no no to turn the backswing vault the pecs you would have just to go that man has no dick i've got to say like this is the first time we've seen William Athens come back since course was just won and oh i just love singing them again i know he's getting massive arsehole in these movies oh he's the best but did nobody else get kind of like almost a sympathetic side from when he's first interaction with phoebe where he was like and we were now going to have to bring child laws into this he not even paying on he was he sounded so sympathetic in his voice and then Walt the pec came back again and it's like oh shit no you're still an arsehole yep you're still that but the end scene where he confronts all of them was just a fight folded quite quickly as well though but yeah because he's male now he has to if you don't remember the mayor from the first and second and the minute votes get put into play they changed their attitude so what did you think of like the new introduction to the new ghosts as well like when we were going through the center you saw the really fucking spooky one with a teeth then you then you had this not monster one that was cute and everyone's like oh it's so cute it wasn't and puke was in one scene yeah like it was in maybe two with a push i just don't see why like he is a big thing of these ghosts when you had this red dot who was doing maximum overdrive in the middle of this movie and i was fucking living for it i can't remember what that ghost was called though oh it was just a oh it was just a possession of the possessive possessive that's it i couldn't but i love the fact it was full of maximum overdrive and you could like possess anything that was kind of like live like was kind of i loved it it was like a sprite or something as well i think it was referred to as but um this red dot was more like i was so cool that i was on board with this red dot and we're happy that the broad box slimers ass as well yes yeah yeah i love the fact that we didn't get enough of life because we why was trying to do no sense that would have been a good damn sense that would have been fan service for fan service sake but he lives in new york and it's i have really wished he didn't have it in the trailer um thanks to thanks to me watching the trailer because if not it would have been completely ruined by the kids at the next door is when the pile of trash was showing you and oh daddy slimers in there and uh huh do i need that oh bless the money was so sweet is this going to be leading into more of the real gospels where like sima actually lives in the firehouse and yeah that's what that's the feeling that i was getting and they kind of part of the team kind of because he's not gone anyway has he's been living there for a long time but again slimer practical the um the statue at the other puppeteer that they use for it because i don't know what when it comes to slimer do they have the puppet anastatia because it just seems so stagnant when you look at it there doesn't seem to be like a lot of movement um i just again the actress who does slimers voice was still the i can't remember i name i'm so sorry which he was the person who did slimer again and oh and the fact that little mini marshmallows came to the no they were cutest for that that goes as being defeated so we were really happy for slimer when he was getting his cheese moves like just the hand comes out is it just so happy with himself like yes he was the master though do you notice that he was kind of like small to start with and then he was huge and the second time you saw him i'm like how much have you eaten since then did you like just when you went through Trevor is that you just expelled in all of your wits to be further i'm not gonna lie when i saw him like reaching his hand out for the cheese mover to the reminders of the horrible leader that's that's why horrible leewood leave and that's how we would be in the thing but again like it kind of hinted at that Trevor and slimer was going to have a little bit of a friendship so hopefully that they do progress with that one and give Trevor a little bit more because that would have gave Trevor a lot more in this movie to have that little buddy system with slimer i'm like when the first one i just felt like i generally felt like with after life back in the first one and it's not and with after life i just felt like the getting wolf in heart um is it been wolf heart it's just an aim we've got been wolf hard look we've got the strange things kids we've got the edge kids and i was like right okay well if that's gonna be the kid you need to do something with him because Trevor again was a spare part in after life and it felt like he was almost coming to spare part in this even though he had a job he was a ghost but like he was a ghost booster he was 18 you're holding his cat pointing out all the time and but i just it's gonna be difficult for anybody though living in christma kennus shadow because she just always everybody with everything throughout these films it really is true i just want to act like if we're gonna have him as a regular now within the bores busses universe then put Trevor to work give Trevor something that is like we all know he's sister is special we know that and there's nothing going to take away from phoebe being special but there's no harm in allowing Trevor to have his little special moments too because of the minute he's just coming across this and i don't want to say ordinary but it's just it's all playing that it's it's uninteresting for us to like i want to get behind Trevor like i really do want this character to work but they're not giving us a lot i think like for the character work and again just like if i was gonna be like not saying i'm a weird movie writer or like storyteller and stuff like that that's right um like i mean a kid want to still the best idea just saying um but for it to move forward like i think again they've got a few of the cast members down like characters move look beyond move podcast i even have podcasts on but just like say have them like on the show with rear like i guess they're going to think about how we always are all gonna need uh denacra well i was gonna need rear there in some some element because he's gonna be more that kind of they're go to for the knowledge of us that there's other them kind of great none of the people that's involved are smart enough to work out these things or think i'll get the law so if the go like if boop rares books uh a cult books shop is always going to be there they can then go once they get stuck get some information rake and then lead them or point them in the direction like where to go next that for me will work perfectly and again have the fighouse as the main base of operations will then have like the bigger thing when uh the big bad comes in like go to uh ghostbusters hq and stuff like that but for me just keep i want to say them busted more ghosts i know it sounds simple it's a ghost was the movie and again i love it when you get all the fails and you get all the like like the heartfelt moments but remember the core the core audience are there to watch stupid interactions with ghosts yeah yeah no you're absolutely right and i feel like moving forward because there's going to be more movies it's a hundred percent going to happen and i know that they're potentially looking at tv shows or something like oh no i'm mixing two things up there sorry and no just more movies and then we now need to start outlining ghostbusters as something away from what we've had after life should have been the end point of that arc egan's gone now we move on and let's start paving a path with something that is going to be a future and this is why the nostalgia it has to stop within the ghostbusters well i love the little nods that we got and if that's what people are going for then there's no point in progressing this any further just go back and watch the best and second then because you're not going to have a progression in the story if we have to keep going over the nostalgia aspects of the first and second and again if you want to do nostalgia nods i'm not going to say don't ever go back to them yes have them in have like i said a dr p vegman talk show where like it's on in the background world the side of the world or have where like as you said vegman doing an interview for people and stuff like that but i don't again it sounds bad i don't want to see the old guys suit not anymore that that has to be the last time and or just there to help out it was numbers wasn't it or again to be a bit dark and do gloomy have them start the film and kill go big go big yeah i just i'm not so much like i don't know nothing about having them die or anything but i do it because the ghost is ghost the ghost is ghost the ghost is the news but you know i think that that's what they try to do here to a certain degree because they didn't come in until the end it was more the fact that it was it was more numbers than anything else because they didn't know this is something they've never faced before this was i mean vegal was one thing this is something massive and more scale-wise so they probably think in strength and numbers and that's why that's why i really think that vegman just came down like i'll just be here like let me hear the kind of thing not even just the old and the new i feel like they need to split to the new people as well yeah i don't know that might be why they've brought in so many people in this film to try and start expanding it from here yeah i feel like the idea of a tatina sure Trevor and Phoebe needs to be a part of that they can both shine like somebody said like you see him in this yeah he just needs some he just needs more but um the two characters who we've not talked about in my god did they or one of them steal every fucking scene that he was in is karaikun and Paul Rudd um karaikun was fantastic in this again as mama bear absolutely love that woman so much but my god Paul Rudd everything that man said had me in stitches it was probably like it was very awesome i know why you loved it because it was very much like watching an episode of the office uh it was just uncomfortable and like yeah it was the fact that he had the key point now especially when she was like i'm gonna go bust some ghosts and he starts laughing and he's like sorry that was really cool like that is how people would like react but and the bust didn't makes me feel good line i know it's been worse he was giving me some dodgy looks when he was like doing all that like what if there's something strange in the neighborhood who are they gonna call and he's like it doesn't make me feel good when we were waiting to go in and when we got some food first and i was like brushing uh the shelf that was near us and because like what you're doing i was like it makes us happy Justin makes me feel good and just making stupid little gussbusters like i was going in so when he started doing all of this i didn't just feel good but it's like that's you that's like being with you oh bless i feel sorry for the next time i just think Paul Rudd is just such a great a great expansion of the gussbusters now i love the fact that he's involved in it and i know when originally work on because before afterlife gussbusters three was on the table for i can't count how many years anytime dana grady did an interview it was yeah gussbusters three is gonna happen definitely gonna happen and the original idea was a pattern of the torch of the gussbusters to new gussbusters which would have been Paul Rudd join a hill stethrogon as you're now core gussbusters and i know it sounds terrible now but back in like the early 2000s like that sounded fucking unreal like they would dominate gussbusters but they were dominating the comedy scene at the time of when this was all being brought about but the only person i was ever excited for was Paul Rudd and i'm so happy he's here and so happy like he is the forefront of every poster now with the gussbusters oh no to be fair he's got much left to do now with amans being cancelled so did you want man films being canned yes it's been fun the bin so you don't know a lot of things have been fun the bin recently yeah so he turned us to the captain marvel film like all the stuff i reckon the going back to the drone boys i reckon the sick awards just gonna change everything so yeah yeah i think it's going back to the drone board i think marvel are going to go back to basics start with the x-men start with the x-men so the x-men have to let's appear up in the whole other podcast even in how we always manage to and i don't know how we do this get a model bit in there so oh because marvel is the world like i am bro i am bro we love i am bro yes that's been mentioned throughout this podcast um janeen i'm going to see janeen's as well she didn't she wasn't needed i don't know but it was like a nice little nostalgic moment yeah because janeen is a big part of this especially in the real gussbusters which they've totally inspiration from yes um i don't know did you notice the thing she was wearing as well like the gromm gromm gromm thing yes is that a call back to the 2016 i think so i feel it is hey i definitely have no problems with that gussbusters what's on that i didn't mind that gussbusters but it wasn't it's not the same as the other gussbusters it doesn't belong in the same universe but doesn't know it doesn't it's just a hilarious comedy gussbusters movie i have no qualms with that it did not take away my experiences of my love of the first and second world like everyone was saying at the time i feel like this might be why i was in this as well i think that and just like little things like having that pulled on gromm the thing were just little lugs to the 2016 one yeah just to be like i know people didn't look at you're in a nice light but still we recognize you're kind of thing i like that and i did like the fact that janeenane was in suit because again i felt like i was in an episode of the real gussbusters so it felt right that janeen was in her suit but she just was not again utilized enough to wear we saw a jane at work yeah i think with all the characters that were wanted in this work it would either have to be like a zach snight or six hour obers or a tv show or a tv show and again if they want to go down that route i was late put you know a few minutes ago if the work would have split it and i think it would work split you would have almost like a marvel kind of approach you would have a tv show about the base of operations like a bigger picture type thing that would work but then have the main movie based on the main cast and the main everyone that's involved um almost like an avengers uh level of kind of ghost type thing where the gussbusters can call like get the samuel jaxon eyepason and call up all the big uh like picket is from the gussbusters lore or the gussbusters but um like history to come into that course i think that might work that would be quite nice thing but i wouldn't be sad if it took this away from the big screen and brought to the small screen and had like say eight episodes arks ten episode ark and short like now we're at like now we're at like now we're 40 minutes in episode um it would work it would work really well and you would get more depth out the characters especially if they're gonna want to use so many different characters at once it's only where that's going to work on the bigger scale i think it works we go on i was just gonna have to see more of the paranormal research and i think that's an amazing thing i think you could do a whole series just based down there but then i started thinking what it started to end up like agents of shield and however i do like the aspect of if we are going to now start moving forward and getting away from nostalgia then yes maybe going in more in depth into this world to establish where we are now because that's because we're past the whole you know first and second thing now we now need to start establishing where the team is now this paranormal center that they have is like kind of a could like a headquarters kind of thing and then is it going to be other gores musters branched out in other places and also the so in the UK because yeah it is a classic like you didn't put an American accent in it was not god because i thought they already do it he already researched paranormal stuff in the UK before coming to the island research center oh i'm so glad he said that because that's what i was about to say the paranormal center is in Staten Island which is why a lot of the infactical joggers were there at the premiere of it and it was so happy to start an island representation and just another thing just to say well probably could again not to say rip off marvel or copy marvel but what could work as well you know when marvel used to do the shorts like between things anyway you're doing something like a short of like a huge carto you could do that anymore you could do like a 15 10 minute short of sewn rears paranormal hour like rears youtube like sure could be a little short you could have a 15 minutes short of vikman doing his thing or like again that's where you get the nostalgia hits but it's kind of like just like little snippets or little extras for the older fans that you can do just to try and keep them happy or keep them pleased not saying that you have to keep everyone happy but it might just be like a little extra thing that could could this but there's so much possibly and i know they're probably people who's got more money and more brains and us should be thinking about these things and should be and they probably are you know should be fair they probably are and i always think that when it comes down to these type of movies they have to wait to see what the reaction is like from the fan base and i know this one is so torn down the middle at the moment where would i just feel like you just need to move away from the fact that this was never going to be like afterlife this was afterlife was something completely different i've got some uh like the review scores here from rock and tomatoes which oh not not the critics scores because fuck the critics like it's all grumpy over here it's all about everything about i know he really trying to fight and go single but this isn't citizen gain so this is when you get in 10 percent but the audience scores i do get attention to sometimes so uh at the top we've got afterlife with 94 percent then second we've got ghostbusters one with 88 percent and then frozen empire with 84 so it's only just chilling behind the original uh ghostbusters two is 61 for some reason i will never understand that it's all good to be fair though afterlife was a lot better than ghostbusters do i'll i'll i'll i'm frozen empire sorry i thought frozen empire was better than ghostbusters but the only 84 percent of audience of all in this film is good is fucking amazing so fuck to hear this suck my dick like and it's a big one in the point and it's a big one in the point and it's a big one i never i have never heard these people like that before and but no i it's ridiculous it is no it is ridiculous because i just i will never understand the mentality of someone going well it's not after life but no it's never going to be afterlife because that was a good thing like it was so fucking special and it was the closure of the fact and the fact that we had to come to terms with the fact Harold wasn't there anymore um that egon is now gone and it was such a special moment let it let that be the moment and then now let's move on that's it as simple as it but that's the thing because i think a lot of people wanted this movie to feel i think a lot of people are sitting there waiting for them that's the thing because people oh people are so cruel that's that's because people always once they did well with this one you will get a lot of people out there and again like movies and opinions are like say well like everyone's got an asshole so everyone is an asshole but yeah um i don't know where that comes from but yeah we have it's a difficult one because a lot of people want to see this like like when things like people love like it's same as Star Wars people sit down waiting to see how shit a Star Wars thing is yeah and then this is the minute it comes on tackling Kennedy's the worst person ever in the fucking world we created because my god you know Star Wars don't get a starboard on that fandom because i won't fucking stop but as a whole like say moving back to the frozen empire and i love the big bad i thought it was great i thought everything about him was entertaining i just wanted more and as i said a few tweaks say you couldn't like someone doing the job at editing probably would have been better rather than pandering to either the studio or the directors i'll be honest given like some people like at times less is more and all a lot of fans say i keep giving us more keep giving us more but no no strip it back let's strip back let's start like seeing where things can go that doesn't include the you know the old you know the old cast they did have you got a name for the director i can't remember who it was and because so it's a right and you all of Jason rightment and this guy and Jason and him and wrote the first one and Jason directed the first well Jason directed after life sorry i keep calling it the first one my apologies that's fine it's the new one's it's talking hello and do it so i don't really get wrong with people Gilkeen so then to a partnership and they agreed that Jason would be able to direct the first one because that meant so much to him and his family that he would go on and direct the second one and that's the kind of so hopefully if they keep him to this pattern the next one would be Jason rightment if that's how they're doing it if they go on you take this one i'm gonna take that one you take this one but i think again because remember if i sort of harp on about afterlife the the pleasures or the look can you see a look the misfortune shall we say of when that was released initially they got an extra year and a half because the pandemic hit so they're gonna fine tune and clean it up and take elements out if that had the same kind of luxury or the same situation with with this one potentially we would be singing a different tune or because it probably was a situation where i needed a few more eyes over it a few more like say runtimes or to exist character work or desire to work but in all in all if that's the story that they wanted to tell i'm not disappointed that i'm very happy let's get the written so we'll go away first did you see that after credits thing as well though yeah i was right i wasn't i wasn't i was pointless i still don't understand the staples because they're like remnants of the destroyer of zul uh but like zul and Vince cloth will both disappear when goes left so how are the staples still around that's yeah that's that's why i was saying it's movie magic yeah i think it's just just for much got seals really because people build by little yeah i think that's why people are going silly over this puke character because again it's a little thing that will sell just like what the marshmallows did whereas i have that thing has no significance whatsoever in that movie experience again i feel like i've complained a lot so i do apologize one of my biggest book bears and i'm pissed off and again if the movie producers or anyone to deal with the films watching he's a dicks where's the fucking toys there's no fucking toys yet i want my toys um last question i've got is from afterlife it seemed like there was going to be something about this coin that egon gives to janeem like he said it was like a coin from like the 1957 world fair well it's very important to hold on to it and then we didn't get it's still compact it's still compact it's still compact there's a lot of different elements of different things that what we do get what's the thing is that is a deleted scene what you what we see there is a deleted scene and that is an after-pore's credit scene too so maybe that is something that will come into play later on it's like ah have you been paying attention to these little snippets that we've been putting in so because i yeah you've stopped this with that one because i totally forgot all about it but i do know that they are deleted scenes end credits scenes so maybe maybe somewhere down the line who knows or maybe it's just a meh who gives a shit oh it could be well put in the coin and then it opens up this whole thing that uh egon builds i got a world fair or i guess uh again just open up the law or but again just to say about the steopost it could be that goes as not really gone just has been closed off so sit yeah it's kind of like the first one that's not the center goes back to the other dimension don't they yeah but in this one's was in she's in like about a thousand different ghost traps so that could potentially explain it i suppose and also i really i do believe goes a welcome back the destroyer will come back in somewhere another there'll be some fucking crazy nut out there just like chandel who will want to destroy your back so i don't think that's the last we'll ever say of them i know i hope we do get like what some of the other kind of like i know people saying leave egon probably not in the next movie but i would like to see it just a reference to be go would be nice even just like there's the painting i was like looking around in case the painting was in that research laboratory yeah that would have been so open cool just the painting but the painting turned out to be they he disappeared at the painting then the painting became the ghost was just the oscar in the middle so maybe that painting is the one that we're looking out for not the v-go one because that wouldn't exist anymore but also where the fox oscar i was just about saying that when you said that i was like shit where the hell is he there's the baby maybe he's the one that's causing it all he's gonna be the big bad making the ghost was to run this there's so much that can be explored that can still hit you little nostalgia points but obviously like just tiny little bits we don't have to have a whole fucking wall look at that reference all of that reference it's just let's expand let's let's start anew yes let's grow a little bit of a good word yes so out of five me what you written it oh sat and enjoyed and smiled all the way through and that like it is a good movie it's just there was elements where you watch it as if you're gonna look at it's like what we do as fans and as you're gonna talk a little bit constructively as well yeah there you are elements i thought you know what this could have been better than anything that we've had before it had the cast it had the ingredients it just went and i hate to use the word blorid but that's what it felt like at times it was just like to the degree where i was like just peer back to start a bit more pageants when we came out the cinema and was like how do you feel and i was like i fucking loved it i genuinely don't know where Paul's gonna sit with this one like i really didn't i couldn't call if you were gonna love it or not and i was like i'm just gonna have to wait because i think i'm gonna talk to him about it i know if i'm not gonna talk to him about it because i remember the last one we were like no talking um so i was like i'm gonna have to wait until tomorrow but i could not play as where you would have been with this movie i think it would be i think anyone who says it's a bad movie i've been very unkind yeah i think you can't call it a bad movie you can say you can be disappointed or it wasn't for you but it had all the right notes it had action it had comedy it had people that you could care about it it had them and again a lot of people say uh went too hard with the nostalgia i don't think it did i think it could have pushed it a little bit hard at times just not even like the old horse wasters but more the ghost side i would have liked to see a few of the ghosts from the real gorse wasters or a few of the ghosts from the toys if we go down that route the way of toy gorse wasters and real gorse wasters i am living there you look like you're like you're looking so cheeky what is going on i've just got i've missed one of me no i'm just like this lady it's like the poor guy that had the bad business decision of name and his shop would intend it fire master and web shop oh you're the fire master no who are you guys?
