I'm just a scary movie. What the hell is this? This is a brody. What the hell are you?
We saw, we kicked it down. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice.
It's no doubt. Well, I'm having everyone and welcome to the Naughty Up North podcast. It's a nerdy podcast that's hosted by Northern nerds. I am one of your horse Sam.
I'm a little shit. I'm loving it. I'm out. I don't know.
I have my moment in this on there. That was awesome. That is it. It does.
Yeah. I've got a witness that I'll give you. I've got a witness that I'll give you. I'm a little shit.
I'm a little shit. I'm a little shit. I've got a witness that arcic circle. And the minus four call tonight.
It turns no different to where we are right now. You know what? It's cool there. Everywhere it's christmas.
Where is the key to? It's nearly me. It's my voice better now. Sometimes it does mess up.
I'm like. Why is it post-test. I'm possessed. It will be escaped.
Get me so often. I don't test it. When I've got more time to do that, Hopefully it sounds better now, hopefully. If you could tell us in the chat that would be grand.
All back. Sorry. If somebody wants to get a disclaimer out, we'll talk about a few things as well, because I know she wants to talk about what we've been watching. Yeah, I'll do the disclaimer first.
We'll get that out of the way with everything. So is our opinions and opinions alone? If you'd like to discuss anything from today's episode, please come and join us on our Discord. Facebook or the comments section where we can have an open discussion.
But what we want to have is anyone coming for us in town? The opinions are wrong. We can all agree to disagree and abandon. So let's keep it fun, keep it kind and keep the toxic behaviour out of nerdism.
Very well said there. Well done. Good. With me sounding like I'm possessed.
I wish I could lead into something that I meant to, but it didn't. What have you been watching, Sammy? You know what I've been watching, Paul? Because that's why we're talking about what we've been watching.
Last night I watched late night with the devil. Yes. And I don't know how I feel about it. That's next on my watch list.
So I watched it last week and I upset you toward it. Okay. Just simply because I love the aesthetic. This visually is just for what the premise is, I just said it's a 70s found footage movie and even aspect ratio is like 70.
So it's not like wide screen. Like everything is done. Like filmed like in the way that it would have been back then. So to the point where it's just like the production is the chef's case.
It literally is done without any like, they didn't leave it like a storm turned anything on the performances. Wow. Yeah. The aesthetic of it is amazing.
The idea of it in the concept of it is absolutely brilliant. It falls in line with the the literature talk rivals that used to take place, even quite still today as well. Just not so prevalent. Johnny Carson was mentioned quite a lot.
But it's the end and because Suny is not seen it, I don't want to get into it. Thank you. But at the end, I was like, the end and visually was fucking out of this world. I will give it that, but I just went, oh, okay.
Yes. And it's just like, it's just like, it's a bit like, no, definitely not like that. Well, not that it's probably just more confusion. Jiring as well.
It leaves you a bit shocked. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Because it's funny. It's not going to end well. That's what that was. So the thing with the being found footage, but in the way of the doing it, it's not kind of what you're expecting.
No. And I think there was some things that were like, drawn out a little bit more. But they kept to the time of what a re over talk show would have been. So you had, you had, you had your like moments on the stage, then you would go advert and in America, that is quite, you know, no one further, they literally have a few minutes and then an advert, few minutes and that's how it was.
So they did set it out the way it would have been on a semi show, but in some kid that worked brilliant. But in some ways it took away from like, oh, I just wish we were there just a little bit longer. But I get what they were doing. And the main star, I cannot say his surname.
But he was fucking phenomenal. Yeah. It's really nice to see him as like a laden, something like, I hope that there's going to be more of him. I feel like he's a brilliant actor.
Yeah. You got 97% of Rotten Tomatoes. Wow. But it's still going to come.
Yeah. Yeah. I'm definitely going to watch it. I'm definitely going to watch it.
But yeah, I'm just laughing at the chat. Michael Barrymore did a TikTok where they went to say it. He was like, what a load of shit. I was wondering if my coxie was like Michael Barrymore didn't like it.
I was like, can I make something? Was not a swimmer film involved in the movie book show? But yes. That was a quick one.
Yes. That's what she said. It was sexy. But yes.
But no, the young girl in it as well was phenomenal. And I'm like, literally just the way she looks in the camera should pierce down your soul. So it's literally like it leaves you. And I loved what Sammy said in the text afterwards.
This film is going to stay with me for a little while. That's what it is. It kind of resonates. And even when you're like, not thinking about it, there's a little shutters or little things.
It's just a well done. One of the most well done horrors I've seen in a while. So I would get this year. And also it's not your typical horror that we've kind of been used to say.
I'm loving the fact that they're taking little risks with what they're doing. And I'm just happy that it kind of like is getting American cycle out of you. I need that. Yeah.
So I'm kind of pleased that this one's replaced it. And then today with a topic at hand, that's kind of replaced it as well. So that's all I can just talk about that today. So what was what was doing?
And Sunday being watching? Have you watched anything fun? I know Sun has been in an adventure. So she's probably just watched snow.
Actually, actually, um, it's really depressing. So Coxy had never seen before, but I have an encouragement of watching episode with us. He'd never seen six feet under. And I remember absolutely loving it.
I watched it when it was on TV. And I said, at Coxy also, the final episode, I feel like it's one of the most satisfying and brilliantly done endings to it. So I was like, so, you know, let's watch it. So it was on Netflix.
We watched, uh, we watched at least six or seven episodes. And then when we got back home, we were like, let's continue watching it, right? But it's not in UK. It's only in fucking no way.
So I know what I probably could find without means to watch it, but at the minute, we'll have it. So yes, we have been traveling and seeing the sites, but we also watch six episodes. I did watch it when it was on TV and then watch it again. When it, I think Sky got it.
Oh, some of it. The first episode just is one of the best first episodes of TV. Sure. Yeah.
Right in it. And oh, wow. Yeah, it's not on Netflix over here. No, but I mean, you have to go and live in Norway.
I'm sitting there. I said today, you will talk to the rescue. It's just to finish the series. What about you?
Do you watch anything fun? I have. And also some old-sumption shit stuff, but I've just laughing. I didn't realize that Daniel Craig's in some his background as well.
He's like, oh, he's like, but in Russia. I just like really. It's like, Tywin episode. Oh, we're good.
He's not on the toilet. He doesn't like, he doesn't like, he's on the sneaky one tonight. He's cracking his throat. Well, I should be.
I should be. Hello. I'll be watching Daniel Craig. I'm running the assistant's back.
We're only green living with him on the ice, the North. Oh, we're definitely not. We're not going to be green living with him on the ice. We're not going to be green living with him on the ice.
We're not going to be green living with him on the ice. No. We can definitely get you to be one. Okay.
Shit. What have I been watching? I've been watching. I've been watching.
I've been watching. I've been watching. I'm in the middle. All right.
I'm going to be back to my family. Family friendly. I mean, I've been watching. I've been watching.
I've been watching. I've been 97. Yes. Talked about a lot last week.
I'm not going to go back in the winter. But say no, this was a fucking wow. Yes. It started off.
We still doing spoilers. We've not done a kennel. I've done a kennel. It started off with the funeral.
And I saw Beast carrying a coffin and I just got lost it straight away. I was like, how can I help? I had a filler episode and everything. I still wasn't prepared for it.
No. See, I've been absolutely loving X-Men 97. Absolutely fantastic. But because I've got Disney Plus, I've just been exploring what else is on there.
I've been in the middle of the middle of the night. I don't want to make half of me take something. It's just good to just switch off and watch something silly. Yes.
I forgot how much of a fun show it was. It was so long ago. It's aged really well as well, isn't it? It's no bit.
It's no bit. It's no bit. I've got a family dynamic. Dynamic.
It could be the same family in the 40s, 50s, 80s, 90s to 20s. It would be the same kind of reactions as well. But the current is a sore for an amazing. Oh, Halmann is absolutely with the green.
But I was finding funny the scene with the man when she's in the shop and she realizes that she's got time. Oh, yeah. It's activity. It's activity.
It's fantasy. It is. And I've got time. Like, I've got time.
Like, I've got to manage that. I've got to manage that. I've got to get so much to get some massage. Yeah.
Really calm. She's really Zen. He's actually in the Australian. I'm a celebrity at the moment.
And oh my God. He is such an lovely and endearing person. He has nothing bad to say about his time on Malcolm. He does have some things to say about the industry, but he was very sheltered from a lot of the industry.
And that was really down to the cast and crew of Malcolm Middle. So protective of them boys. They were like, no, no, nothing like Hollywood Tangea at all. And Brian Cranston especially became like this on set father figure.
And he's just got it's lovely hearing him talk about it. Because it sounds like, you know, you get these kids who just don't have the, we think they're having the best of time. Yeah. It's so lovely to hear.
I would just want to think about nice things for that boy. He just comes to be a reboot. And it does only as well. Those talks about it.
But even Frank, Frank and you're not supposed to be involved with it. So that would be fun. We'll believe that he had like, yeah. What a weird time.
It's like severe brain damage and as I remember last and then he went on Steve O's podcast. And he's like, yeah, no, I can't remember a lot of it. Like I'm fine. Like hello, look, series of debilitating like strokes.
I was like, I believe. See, that's what happens when people don't use the word allegedly. Yeah. And I'm watching two things.
So I started watching it, but I don't know if I'm going to finish it. That baby reindeer. Okay. I've been getting the spark and also on TikTok basically.
I've never heard of any of the shit you guys are talking about. I've been watching it. I've been watching it. I've been watching it.
I've been watching it. I've started watching it, but I don't know if I'm going to finish it. That baby reindeer. It's massive over here at the minute.
It's just one of those things. It's kind of the more people talk about the more people read because the first episode is interesting, but how realistic and real it is. I'm like, no, because actually you watch stuff to be entertained and you watch stuff to, like, I know just very light stuff, but when it was that close to the knuckle, I was like, I don't think, I can get enjoyment out with this. But it's someone laying their trauma out for us all.
Yeah. And I get and I get where he's coming from. I'm kind of like, it is almost therapeutic for him, but at the same time, that's still his trauma and everything that's coming out around it as well. coming out around it as well, especially with the fact that yeah, mother is being found and she's set up a Facebook account where she's just still going off on him right now.
It's like it's triggered so and I hear that word, but it has triggered so much. Bring like bringing this back up again. I just don't know how healthy it is. I don't know maybe I'm wrong, because I know I feel like because he's been really voting about the fact that he didn't want that to be found.
He was like, we've gotten a great lens to kind of hide people's details and protect their anonymity, but like he must have known people were going to figure it out. They literally went to his Twitter account, went back to the time of when this apparent happened and saw all of her messages to him. That was public not like in the public to me. Yeah.
I can see it. Same things that she says in the show. The actress who plays her iFUCKIN' love her, she's in pride and I honestly, I just want nothing but nice things in her life as well. But she does look very similar to her.
Like, could you not have done like the complete opposite? I don't know. I don't know. I don't think I watch it.
I'm not in a place in my life. I'm like ready to take on someone else's trauma in that way. No. The other thing, and again, just to try and bring it back to a lighter note, Moonshine is his back.
It is returned after the mid-season finale. I made a mistake. I've left me Moonshine downstairs, so I don't have any idea what to have a drink, but it is from gorgeous stuff. I'm saying Moonshine is the best.
But basically, I'm not going to too much deal, but TIGGLE has come up with this brilliant idea because they've got all this Moonshine that they need to try and get across the country to sell and the poor poor, the police keep on pulling them over and stopping them. So what they've done, they've got a flat bed and they've got a broken down car that they've hollowed out the insides and the black out the windows and they're going to put the Moonshine in the hollowed out car and to look like the tow in the car across the country, rather than tow in the Moonshine. TIGGLE, you're going back to jail soon. Sorry.
TIGGLE, my gosh. Well. But yes. Don't again, I'm not going to buy it.
It's just a little bastard. But there's a lot of go-ons on in Moonshine. Like, the two old blocks have just had $10,000 worth of Moonshine stolen out of the back of the van. So they're not very happy.
What? Yes. What are these people playing? What are these people playing?
Yes. So Moonshine is a dangerous business in America. You've got to be careful. I'm sorry.
You're just going to buy it on the streets of York. Yes. I could see Coxy doing some Moonshine. I'll do some Moonshine with Coxy sometimes.
Oh, yes. No. I could see Sonny. You could do some Oh, yeah.
But it hasn't been Daniel Kreyiks. I've been trying to do one to appease my office fans out there where there's been a murder in Savannah. I do declare Michael Scott's impression. Wow.
I can't. I don't think I could ever do Daniel Kreyi justice. But I was trying to do Michael Scott's trying to do a tiny big type impression. There you go.
Before we get into the movie, I do have the taglines. This movie does come with taglines. Oh, yeah. So we'll start with Orion Johnson, who done it.
Right. He's done it. Comes with who done it like no one has ever done it. What?
Comes with who done it like no one's ever done it. Right. Okay. Nothing brings family together like murder.
Yes, I like that one. Good one. Everyone has a motive. No one has a clue.
I think it's another reference to clue though. So I quite like that. My favorite. My favorite.
And the last one is hell. Any of them could have done it. Pretty much. But I do like that when I didn't notice that.
I'm glad I was able to say it. Comes with who done it like no one ever done it. Right. Yeah.
That's a fun one to say, isn't it? I wouldn't be able to say it. I would have said it like a motherfucker. Oh hell.
I do declare. Okay. Foggorn like I want to go now. Oh, Kentucky Friday.
Oh, I brought down. Um, CSI. CSI. CSI.
It's all you do it. Um, but yes. Uh, actually, what I'm going to start doing as well because I know Sonya's just said she doesn't use the dodgy stuff. I've noticed on the dodgy app that I use when I watch films, there's a written so I know I've got the dodgy app rating guide now for the movies.
So we decided with straight fight last week, who got I think was 4.2 out of 10. So this one, what do you think written that the dodgy stick gave us? I give a straight fight at 4.2. It's obviously not very accurate.
It's actually higher. It's 8.5 lower. 7.2. Oh, close.
7.8%. I would 10. So I'd actually look on IMDB. Glass onion is 7.2 and knives out is 7.8.
So that's actually the IMDB. Alright, so I thought it was a dodgy rating. So I thought it was like people who'd watch on the dodgy stick and rated but they're still in the information. I'm not going to do the segment.
Well done, Sonya. Well, thank you. We would be doing that again. Damn you, dodgy stick.
She's so good. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. It's fine.
If it was anyone else, I would threaten them death because I like Sonya, it's fine. But just to see as well, what a fucking cast. Like for a movie that was coming out. Like the people that was in this, like it was just star after star and none of them phoned it in.
Like none of them could have just been mixing or we could just do like a murder mystery. Like a lot of the ones we've got, like the latest one with kind of brand-new like the audience's press web. Again, had a good cast but it just felt like the stars were there just to be stars. Like I think I'm Johnny Depp and Shell Viper.
This had people in and every single one of them looked like they were having the time of the life on this movie as well. Yeah. Christopher Plummer was, oh my god. I couldn't remember how like what, this is my second watch of it was like Jesus Christ that man is so fucking good.
Then I had to go on Google and to find out like how is he so good. And my god, I know he, sorry but he did pass away recently. But I didn't realize. How did he die?
Was it? Was it? It was a 31 year old. Was it a 31 year old?
Was it a 31 year old? Was it a 31 year old? Do we need to get a like Daniel Craig to investigate it now? I hope not.
It was 91. I think that's enough. But his daughter is a man-applomer who is wires in Hongpicking him and in full-fiction and I had no fucking clue. Right?
I was gobsmacked. The standout star for me apart from Daniel Craig. I'm going to say who I'm thinking. Is it a no Daniel Craig?
I think he's on an entity when it comes to this movie. Which is just a... Oh, that's not what I said. I thought I'd love 20 Collette.
I thought 20 Collette was... I thought Michael Shannon. I thought Michael Shannon's absolutely amazing. Oh, I was going to say Chris F.
What? Who's the name of the song? Who's the name of the song? How interesting.
How interesting. Was very much a Gwyneth Paltrower wasn't she? Yeah. What was that like a bunch of Collette?
Oh, I would love anything that she does. She's amazing. She's amazing. She's amazing.
I'm terrible with names of people. She's the one who's in hereditary race, aren't you? Yes. Yeah, that's correct.
Yeah. She's my real. And the sixth sense. I was doing it for the sixth sense.
Even Don Johnson wasn't embarrassing. I just saw the life dream from Sammy's face once. No. Even enjoyed Don Johnson's performance in this as well, which not many people have said a performance about Don Johnson for since the probably the 80s.
Who? Who? Don Johnson is. He's given a courtesy of his husband.
Oh, is that doing that? Yeah, he's a big 80s, 90s, like actor type thing. He was a big and all the cheesy stuff. But fun fact about Chris Evans in this movie.
Because he was just come off filming the Avengers. So he packed on a lot of muscle and the thought he looked too big. So they just piled them in sweaters. Jupy's.
I know. I was watching. I was watching. And it really watched it before the podcast.
And the scene when he takes Marla to the diner, like, they were driving there. And I was like, you know what? I don't know why. But all I remember from this next scene is sweater.
I was like, he's wearing a really big one. He's in the gym. And he sees arm muscles in the jumper. And then like zoomed in on him and got.
And he was like, oh, yeah. He got his. He got his. He got his.
He went like viral. And he got his dog Dodger. He won a little white jumper. Oh, but what this said was on set because Chris Evans is like, he's a huge dog lover and dogs love him.
Because the dogs are meant to hate him in this movie. Yeah, really difficult. Because these dogs absolutely. The dogs are the best actors confirmed.
Yeah. This is what's really difficult to like do the scenes where they're not angry at them. They're like, hey, hang on. Oh, I'm supposed to do one with the bucket over the top.
Yes. It's like, how to make them aggressive. No, I read some trivia that Michael Shannon actually like improvised a lot of the lines of other people. And you can say that.
You can say that. Which I love because like so much of it sounds like Adlib. Like the shit that they say. Yeah, Ryan Johnson said that Michael Shannon was in absolute fucking joy to have on set because he made every day.
Just fun. Funny. Yeah. Yeah.
Which I never like kind of. I've only ever seen Michael Shannon do serious. So to think that he's a funny guy behind the scenes, I'm like, oh, I was just like that. I thought you would just be like the Iceman.
Like I've seen you before. Oh, maybe for Zard type thing. Yeah. It's what culture is like.
I can only say a mazord and like nothing else. But we're going back to the actual movie side of things. Because I know with the tagline, as Sammy said, it's like who's done it? Like you've not seen it before.
Like the whole format and how this played out. Like when I watched it the first time, I was like, I love like these type of movies. I love trying to work out murder mysteries. I love fucking clue.
I love even I got part of the power of all like a beard for TV. Next to see us. I from the door. Um, but when it's started, I was like, right?
I'm going to sit there. I'm going to try and work out who's done it and stuff. I got. But then you see the give you're it right in the middle of the film.
Like, and it's straight away. Like, oh shit. And it's like there's got to be more to it. Or the film just be going to be like the false as we found it.
It's like the false ending. Is it just basically going to be trying to work out how Martha gets away with it? Like which I wouldn't have been wouldn't have been sad about. Because I fucking love Martha.
I thought she was lovely and she deserved everything that she got in this movie. Because as the whole premise is, she is a good person. And these and these families is just fucking reptiles. Like every single one of them has no redeeming feature.
Even the neo-Nazi little boy that's masturbating in the toilet. Over here in shit. Like everyone's just like fucking evil. Except from the grandmother who was just we we lead there.
She's so funny. I've got total creep shore vibes of that woman. The segment in creep shore where it's the daughter coming up to the dad's grave and she's got that box for her rounder. I'm like, that is her.
That is so her. I actually got a jump scare in the scene where like my jumps down from the trellis and she's just sitting in the window. It's all perfectly placed in that indoor frame. There's like no either side.
It's just hilarious. But you know, like, don't you. I was going to say go back what Paul just said there. Like, I was the exact same the first time I watched this.
Because I too love murder mysteries and I used to watch Jacob's. Oh, Jacob's Creek. Yes. Yeah.
How good was that? Jonathan. Jonathan, Jonathan. Jonathan, Jonathan.
What? Jonathan, Jonathan, what? Jonathan, Jonathan, Jonathan, David. I'm David.
I'm David. I remember as a kid watching Murder on the Orient Express and being like, oh, it's so smart because you're going to do it once and then again, it's everybody. And it's just like you're expecting some verdant like that. So when I got a partway through it, when it just shows you the medication missed happen.
And I was just like, oh, I was really looking forward to trying to figure out who did this. But I'd only seen it once. So today when I've watched it again for the second time, knowing what I knew, I was able to pick up on so much more to the point where like, Harlan tells you in that scene, who the killer is. Like he literally tells you a bit of a bit like he lays it out.
And we're doing spoilers, right? Yeah. Yeah. I mean, we were so excited about the medication thing because he's like, oh, this is a really good like weird emergency one.
And he's like, oh, it's so easy for someone to switch to the medication, which is exactly what's been. And then he starts to, previously this he's talking about how Ransom so much like him. Yeah. So much like him, right?
Which is part of me too. And then he says, he wouldn't know a trick knife from a real life. Which is exactly what happens. Yeah.
So he gives it to you on a plate. But the first time you watch it, because you think that the twist has already been given to you, you're not going anymore. Yeah. Kind of like disarms you typing.
So you're not looking for like the little hints and stuff. But it's like the prestige. Yeah. You're looking in the wrong place.
Yeah. Yeah. I was, I think after, like a lot of people I watched this off the back of Ryan Johnson's previous film, which was Star Wars. It's not your career.
It's not your career. It's true. It's true. I'm just talking about it.
I'm not going to get into Star Wars because things. But like I was, I had trepidation. I was watching this going. I was like this guy.
And then like who did it was over by the end of the first act. And I was like this little bastard. He drew into it again. I was so angry.
Like for the next like 20 minutes of the movie, I just like wasn't paying attention. Right. Like so like I was just like, why would he ruin it? It doesn't make me sense.
Why would he ruin it? Who did it? And then like, it keeps going. Obviously the movie just, I was moving to.
And I was like, oh, all right. OK. It's actually like, is this like what we just changed? There's layers in this one.
It's changed the genre. Yeah. Yeah. Layers.
And obviously by the end of it, I was like, I was so wrong to jump at that and be like, you're little shit. I'm sure you messaged me because I recommended it to you. And I don't know whether you messaged me halfway through or at the end. But I remember you messaging me being angry about the twist being ruined.
You know, it might have been during that 20 minutes which I was like, what the fuck? I'm going to go in and away. I'm going to go in and away. I'm going to go in and away.
I'm going to go in and away. I'm going to go in and away. Ryan Johnson just stuff. That's a whole different conversation to offer.
I don't even understand. I like the idea we took risks. We took risks in this as well because we picked up, yo's right. Yeah.
And you learn a lot of it. They learned a lot from that experience. And this was actually the right kind of movie to do it in. The whole murder mystery thing.
It's not done by any player because it's a huge genre, it's a huge industry. But doing something fresh is difficult. Oh, definitely, especially with what we've been brought up on as well. If you're thinking about like diagnosis and murder with Dick Van G A.
Yeah, this is murder! Oh my God, I forgot to wear a shirt! I'm very sure, I'm very sure, I'm very sure it's all of the... Any time a television or a radio was on, it was a murder show.
Yes. Yes, yeah. Yes. It was a murder show, it was on the telly.
The program that our sisters watched in at the beginning, on their laptop, that is Jaws and Gordon Levett, doing the voice. I read that, yeah. Yeah, but everything has a murder mission. A murder theme going on in the background.
And it's not used a lot, which I thought was great, so it's not always saturated, it's just ever so subtle. She's got murder she wrote on in the background. Yeah, yeah. There's like, there's so much like little, like little attention to details like that that I really appreciate.
And I didn't notice on my second watch through, but you know, I did a quick little bit of research after the film and before joining this, that in the scene where it shows you ransom in his house reading a newspaper, he has a load of Mason jars on his back shelf. And then in a later scene, there's a jar missing and you see that it's a Mason jar thrown into the coroner's office to start the fire. All right. It actually shows you that the jar is missing.
It shows you that it was him that, which obviously you're cos he started to fire, but there's so many little things like that where I was like, wow, like it takes a lot to put such thought into the movie that people might not even recognise on notice. Yeah. Like I said before, when Martha drops down off the trawlers and the grandmother sees it like a jumpscare, she actually tells you as well, she says, is that Branson? You're back again?
Yeah. So again, it's it could be just like, oh, just throwing away at you. It's just crazy old woman. Yeah.
But she actually is actually telling you like what happened as well. So if you're paying attention as we are sleuths and accustomed to all these type of murder type programs or films, we should have been following it. But because these took you off guard, he's took you out of that safe place where you're watching and looking at everything. As Joe said, you pissed off a little bit.
You went, oh, so now we're just going to be watching a completely different movie. It's so cleverly done and well done as well. And with the cast that you've got, like there was not a miss step or a miss bay because like a lot of them can be vulnerable or like quite like when it comes to Michael Shannon's character when he corners Martha in the corridor, like how imposing he is and starts being quite sinister till he makes the wrong wording. And then she kind of flips on it.
It's just so clever done. And it's one of those movies as well where you've got like action movie stars, like you've got Bond, you've got Captain America, you've got Zod. And it's all dialogue based. And that's so cleverly done and again just well done in my eyes.
We've got the whole family with us tonight. Yeah, we have. Son, you've enjoyed the man's just joined. Oh, bless her.
We'll get Son, you're mum on the podcast soon as well. She was supposed to be here, but the Army of Darkness podcast, but she talked to us that way. You can win. I never got the notification.
Never went live. And I was like, I definitely did. And she was like, on Twitch. I was like, they don't do the podcast on Twitch now.
Oh, that's right. So, I mean, she had the right link. Yes. I like my mum.
I like my mum. I like my mum. But yes, nothing pretty good. If you want to get on the podcast, she absolutely loves like end of the world films.
Like all she watches is like volcano, 2012, death tomorrow, like that, but I was like, 2012. Oh, she loves. She loves films. She can go, oh, yeah, right.
You know, people actually shoot when you're like, what are you doing? It's just I, you're going to reconnect with the X, like mint. It's like two minutes. It's crazy.
It's just drama saving everyone as well. She's just like, oh, I'll get back with me. And is the apocalypse tremendous? Anyway, I digress.
No, it's fine. Yeah. I was quite lucky as well because I didn't see any of the trailers or anything leading up to this movie when it was released. It was just like, oh, it's a murder mystery.
And I saw the cast. So me and my wife Nick, they were lovely with Nick. Not just mums. We went to the pictures to see it.
And my fur, because I was like, all exciting Daniel Craig, when I first heard his accent, I was just like, what the fuck is going on? I don't know. What was your like first reaction to the accent as well? I was the same.
Yeah. It's so weird. It's the best. I do love James Bond.
