Oh yeah! Ahh, hello! Hi everyone and welcome to the Naughty of North Podcast. It is a Naughty Podcast hosted by Naughty Nurds.
I am one of your hosts Sam. And I am the other of us Paul who is very very tired today so I do apologise. We've been busy, yes. But tonight we are joined not just by one Goth Queen, two Goth Queen tonight.
So we have a lovely Sami and we have the beautiful Eel. All the way from Bonnie Scotland has come to join us. No! To kick off, can't see and hear what's on there.
I know, I got me worried after the issues that we just had. Hey, can you give us a thumbs up if you can hear everything please? That's fun. We are kicking off our spooky season and we are kind of checking it and starting a little bit early last two weeks.
That wasn't smoothie, that was just a saving king area where we were doing boogs. That was boogs. That was boogs. That was boogs.
That was a good one. That was a guy. Look at him. He's easy.
He's tired. Oh, I've come out strong. Yes. I'm starting swinging.
So how are you guys? Are you alright? Totally. I have an ill for a week.
I'm going to get that out the way right now. We're all tired and stressed over the night. So it's just going to be unhinged. I think it was.
Yeah. I think one of the moments I've had on the edge or they closed a mental breakdown. Everyone I speak to was either on the bottom or over the edge as well. So yeah, let's let's train to the point.
What happens to all three of us at once? Oh, let's just let's just have it like a, like it'll be bonded experience. We'll be trying to find something. I don't know.
I don't know. Oh, crisis. Yeah. He'll just need to introduce to that.
We like that. We wanted to come back. Oh, thank you. Oh, thank you.
Oh, my God. Oh, you're going to have so much fun. I can't wait. She's a curious of them all.
Yeah. From everything to do with that, you'll do. So that'll be interesting. Fantastic.
So some of you don't do it. Yeah, do it. So everything's just interesting to do this episode is our opinions and our opinions alone. If you'd like to discuss anything from today's episode, I'll probably use comment join us in the comment section.
You can join us on Facebook or you don't know discord where we can have an open discussion. But we want to have you as anyone coming for us and tell us our opinions are wrong because we can all agree to disagree and fandom. So let's keep it fun. Keep it kind and keep the toxic behavior out of notism.
We always try. Sometimes we feel that we always try. Well, yeah, that I got the tagline for this movie. This movie, the craft movie.
Well, it's not the art and crafts movie that Christy Christings is watching craft the 1986 the craft. One tag line one tag line alone. Welcome to the witchy now. Straight to the point kicks it's right.
I told you this was kicking right off. Yeah. Back in time to 1986. I want to know how the deal was.
Oh, days. Oh my goodness. I do feel that I'm probably the wrong type of gender. John or gender.
Jean for this time. I don't think I'm the target audience. I did enjoy it. This wasn't really aimed towards me.
I would say. I think that's a fair comment. You know, studios weren't really into backing films about teenage girls at this point. Certainly not about or for teenage girls.
It's probably the first and this is pretty buffy. Even we're talking in a like we haven't had a screen yet that came out later that year. A very busy year for the camel. So this is the first time we're really seeing a sisterhood in this format.
Point score as well. There's not only when it's like female roles or less like you're talking to go anywhere. It was all kids. The wrong comms, like TV friendships and stuff like that.
But this was like kind of the start of the MTV era for movies that came out where a lot of film directors of movies that were made were aimed at the MTV crowd. I think this came out screw intentions. Just behavior teaching this single and all you want to see is it doesn't exist. It's not a poem or it's a movie.
It's a film that Paul had the proof. It's I have seen both versions, Paul. And I will tell you one of them is not important. So really.
Yeah. Well, from it's worth a watch. Robert tuning is the main star in this film. And I don't know why I'll never understand why, but she was hot at the time.
They wanted her soul badly for this film. Bare to my new Campbell, isn't it? She doesn't even spark in anything. It's just, oh, it's a new Campbell from party of five who gives a shit.
Like Robert tuning. They really, really wanted. She actually auditioned for Bonnie initially. And they were like, you know, yeah, but they were like, no, no, we want you for the main star.
We want to basically target this all movie around you. So this came out after a record, isn't it? Pretty much straight afterwards, because obviously she's got the shaved head and a really bad wig job that they did. I said to pop before we came on, I don't care what copy you're watching VHS.
Okay, you can still see them edge in lines. Oh, it's harsh. It's a harsh line. It's really.
That is crunchy. It's not down properly. Can't we just like get them? Because this is before RuPaul's drag race.
So people weren't in work and learned how to do these things properly. So it wasn't before Wigs Paul. It wasn't before theatre. So I'm not going to take that.
Okay. It was terrible. You can't, you can't. Not with that wig.
It was so bad. They might as well just let her have bald heads. It would have been so much better than the hair. But hey, it happened.
It's a thing. But yeah, she was hot shit. Yeah. They loved her.
And they sent it this war film around her. The cast was pretty decent for the time. I love the up and comers. I skate.
It's a lot of people. I'm sorry. Street urchin. Well, he wasn't this movie to be fair.
But I say this was before he was screaming. I know he's not really done much since then. But he was a big thing. He was me.
He was in Rivetyl. Okay. He was in Rivetyl. He was in Rivetyl.
But he was supposed to be like the next Johnny Depp. Yes. And then that just didn't happen. We were in the city.
We were in the city. We were in the city. We were in the city. We were in the city.
We were in the city. And then it was the SHI. Was he on? Was he in the city where he wasn't on the show?
Yes. And then that just didn't happen. Was it a lifestyle thing for him? Or was it just that type of casting?
I just think Johnny Depp was hot and cold for a lot of time. So when... I think this was... Like...
And I think so. Michael Rosenvahn's podcast, he talks about the dark days, like how fame got to women. You know, decisions. the cast 85 for the actresses auditioned for the four main roles and the only names I could find associated with that 85 was Angelina Julie.
Okay, Scarlett Johansson. That would be interesting at the time because I said she don't want to go to school. Of course, of course. Excellent term.
Yeah. She did pan in that film and her just go hand in hand and it works perfectly. That's what I love so much. I've so much love her Thor birch.
Oh, yes. That's where I got my hair inspiration from. In goes. Well, actually it was the 90s Queen.
So wasn't she just up for every part or everything that was going in the 90s? Potentially, potentially. Yeah, it's tuning the audition for Bonnie, New Campbell auditioned for, oh gosh, what's any name? Not Nancy.
Sarah? No, not Sarah. No, Michelle. Keep forgetting her name, Poomer-Shell.
Poomer-Shell true. Yeah, nobody wanted Nancy. Nancy's a Wow. Yeah.
Nobody wanted to be Nancy apart from from the bulk. I've got you said that. Legends. For Musa.
No, actually practicing it before we came on. As I said, this one came out in 1986. I can't remember seeing it first time. All I remember is the hype around it because this was the heedy of the MTV movie awards, where everything you think and literally used to get like all the, not the bad movies, but all the commercial movies used to get more awards.
I think one of your crew intentions got the best kiss between Sarah and her. And so, hi, when you watch it, it's not a nice case. It's one of the most relevant cases you'll ever see. It's just weird.
Far too much done. Yeah, that's just my anyway. We're learning a lot this evening. I always take it down a journey.
But yeah, I think this one, and again, someone could prove is wrong. Best fight scene with the end between Sarah and Nancy, where she goes all crazy, which she feels like that's right. And then the cast of wardrobe and she turns it to clothes and stuff. When they actually used the practical and special effects, they kind of combined well at times.
But as a whole, that's what I can remember from this movie, I know I've discussed like agents of this was a 15, I believe, from the KML. Unless you're just not in, I don't think you would have seen it at the cinema. I was 13 when it came out. Yeah, but you were looking at something, so you would have got in.
I was not me at 13. I didn't hit that until I was 15, and I have not changed since. And yeah, I was probably about 15. This is probably one of my gateways into the golf lifestyle I've led since.
And it's obviously a gateway into a lot of things that I don't like to use the word practice, but they're interested in. I found an obsession with the actual wicker. That's what the craft is in this is very different differentiations between the craft and wicker. They use the rule of three in this, and that is a religious aspect of wicker.
The craft that I'm interested in doesn't. So there's that. And so yeah, this was about that. I was like, everything I remember going into there was a witchy shop in the Metrual Center in the Mediterranean part.
Do you remember that with the old guy? Yeah. Yeah. I was like, I was like, the restaurant corner for a while, then it just, yeah.
Yeah. I think if you were to walk through there now, that's a go of bunch of restaurants, but it used to have a witchy shop in there. I was born. What it is, I was looking at it, I was like, I wanted to read everything, everything back to him with this movie.
I just, I wanted to know it all. And my collection up until I got moved, how was it? Five? Five?
Six years ago, my collection was unreal. And I got rid of it all. Because it's just, it's not what I'm interested in. I don't like the religious aspect of wicker.
So I was like, let's just listen to yourself from that. But this is the starting point of all that is this movie. Oh, yeah. I think it must have switched on thousands of teenage girls onto, uh, seeking out the dark arts for, um, you know, for friendship, joy.
Oh, yeah. Certainly wasn't alone. I certainly wasn't alone, especially if you told the girls of my age who watched this, it's when, you know, about the same time I did, they all did exactly the same thing. They're all behind the same boog, since subscribing to big time.
Which craft magazine can I tell you a fun story that's connected with this? So I discovered this through, um, you know, the video shop, as we were doing a Friday and Saturday night, it was a sleepover. I think we were about 13 and maybe even a couple of years and we were allowed to rent it. Someone's big sister got it for us.
And we were obsessed from that point on. So there was four of us already were like, sorry. Um, and we decided we were going to, uh, we're going to look up some invocations, which like sneaker at libraries trying to find anything on the occult, anything on wicker. It's like, anything, even like a little bit closer, like, oh, we're going to be practicing witches.
It's so exciting. Um, so once we were at my house, we decided we were going to do a binding spell because friend of her was being bullied because we did shit. So your first value trying to do instead of like, I think you went for a binding, like putting curses on people and shit through it away. I love this.
So we're like, well, we could just like try to blend in. Don't be so stupid. No, we're going to use the thing that they're really good for. We're going to do more of that.
Right. So stop this, like the circle, have the candles, and everything. And we're doing the, like, we're giving them their chat. Yeah, call it.
And the candles flicker a little bit. Shut ourselves and run. Now, they've liquored a little bit because there's, you know, four or 14 year old girls yelling into the center where there are lit candles. I'm not surprised that like they might, you know, remove it.
But in that moment, it was Satan. It was coming for us. I would get it there, man. And then I've, you know, I've ever practiced them, which got ever since.
That's enough. That's enough. That's enough. Walk away.
Just walk away. And all like you can do, like, you can do like a thing. There was probably a lot of people because, as I said, a lot of people believe in like a witchcraft, believe in all these different elementals as well. Yeah.
Would you see this as not like, I'm trying to think the words correctly, it's not like a slight or would you see it as like almost like, because after watching this, lots of teeny girls try to get into it. So what do you think it pissed off the community a little bit, or do you think it would have embraced that mix either, silent? Well, they just have a wicked consultant. Yeah.
Somebody had Devon. Yeah. So there were like invocations and things like that were written specifically for the movie. They tried to keep the reality kind of separate from the religion.
The book was slightly low. The book was in a couple of years. Yeah. This is the book that was slightly, especially with the creation of the Daily Mail, Manon, which is very close to a Greek deity.
Manon. And they didn't quite, yeah, the names are very, very similar, but they created Manon in order to not piss anyone off. But they ended up making it so close to the Greek one, it sounded like that's what they were saying when they were repeating it back. Yeah.
Some weird shit went down that night when they're on the beach. Hang on, I've got it here. So Manon is a fictitious creation for the film, sounds very close to Manon, which is the Gaelic, actually, it's Gaelic God of the sea. So do we have to be careful of using these like, we're just a little bit later me either.
So I don't want to get fucked here. Just don't see it next to you. As a kale, I'll just put it in a good word for you. Okay, this is just a, yeah, that's how it works.
I don't want to talk about certain things, anything can happen. That's true. They, yeah, sorry. I don't know why I thought it was Greek.
I listened to being read correctly. And I was only reading about this earlier today was then when they were down by the beach and they called in the column, and they called in Manon to come. It sounded too close to what the other God was. And when they, the sea got out of control, and they ended up having to shut down the film in for the night.
And it is, but when they picked it back up again, so you calm down and as soon as Nancy says the line, Manon, film me, how we cut off? Oh shit. Wow. All the power just like kind of cut off.
And yeah, they didn't pick back. That's all we take. That's all we take. That's all we take.
That'd be quite, I mean, I'd be quite excited. I'd be quite excited. Because imagine, I know, because like, if you think about all the different, like I'm not the classicist of the girls moving. If you talk about all the different, I think it's like the excess, polka guys and all the different elements to their.
So it's almost going to have a little bit of realism, shall we say, or a little bit of like, almost like a legacy left in, so that it can help, it can only help the movie get bigger with that type of that. Yeah. Well, one more thing that happened that night was when they were evoking the deity Manon, a flock of bats, circled them in extinguish all the candles. That's, I'd have been out there.
I'd be gone. I'd do winging creatures. I'd do the flapping. I'd been gone.
You'd not see me if I dust was sanding even. That's so cool. Can we do that again? Yeah.
There was always one rumor about Fizzouza. Fizzouza? I can't say it. I can't say it.
I've never seen it in front of us. Fizzouza. And there was always a rumor that she was part of the Wiccan consolation on this movie. She wasn't.
She told, she didn't, I had to go on deep dive on this one. She didn't interview in 2017 and said, fuck, I was just really interested. And the shop that is used in the film, she ended up buying. That's why I say she had money when she did this film.
So yeah, she ended up buying it and owning that until 2001 when she sold it to two friends who used to work there for Next to Nothing. Interesting. Fantastic. Yeah.
But she was just interested. She wasn't part of the consultation team. The even Robert Union and I watched the Meghan of the Craft. She was like, oh yeah.
And she was like, oh yeah. And she was like, totally into it. And she was the one telling us this and the other. And she's like, at all.
That's just for hype and that. I remember her staying at interview with her. And she was like, it just means her so much for me. You know, when they make movies about witchcraft, they're not really making movies about witchcraft.
And this is, you know, this is closest to me. Gotta get it. And I suppose when she was right, I mean, what was what was kicking about at the time? We didn't get practically magic for what?
I was like, oh, that's my own brand. And until, oh, 98, I think. Was it? Was that?
Yeah. Yeah. And that is a good representation of Hedges. That is something that is completely different to this.
But still kind of has that witchy vibe to it. And the book is shit. Right. We're just going to put that out there.
Don't bother reading it. It's absolutely terrible. If you're not what you're expecting. Oh, okay.
It was much better. You heard it here first. Folks Sandra Bullock and Thinnakol Kidman way better than a book. Yeah.
Well, yeah. Infinitely better. So. But I think, as I mentioned at the start, when we class this as an MTV movie, when the movie start, we'll come over the time.
It was different take to the ates, different tones and stuff like this. I think storytelling in the ates was a lot more imaginative and and wary. What the 90s kind of tried to focus on was issues of the time. And I think this is where the craft and such movies were a lot braver.
There are a lot of things that they're trying to talk about, the things that they're trying to do. Yeah. So kind of like, I'm not trying to stick so it's so in your fears. It's like, oh, we've got a love song in this guy.
Now we get so in love that he almost forces himself on Sarah to the point. Yeah. Like to that length where in America at that time, it was rifle stories where a lot of young college women were getting sexually abused or taking advantage of in the States as well. So it was quite interesting that they were doing them type of stories at that time.
Yeah. But each for each one of them has something that each girl of outrage at the time would have been able to, you know, like look, not represent, but you know what I mean? They kind of know, no one at least one of them or something they were going through. And one of them was going through grief, poverty, vanity, and discrimination, and racism.
Now, I just want to get this part out of the way with, because I want to focus on all the positives of this movie because you know me, I love this. It's one of my favorite, one of my gortas. But this film company really did racial truth, fucking dirty. Really dirty.
And she was, she's the only one who at the time was 30 years old when this was filmed. All the rest of them were in a younger age. She was told by her agency, stay away from Farooza. She has bad news.
If you go next to her, we will not represent you anymore. And this was something that was passed on from the production company to her agent who passed on to her. And so she had to keep a distance when it was called a record. And so she completely separated herself from people to where she was alone, majority of the time.
And her storyline was meant to be so much more rich and developed and through her, through the racist actions of Laura Lizzi. And she was had an eating disorder. She, there was much more put into the actual story and how it really affected her. And it got completely stripped out of the film.
When it came down to the promotion of the film, she was kept out of it. She wasn't invited to any of the press tours. She wasn't invited to, she was invited at the last minute when somebody realized she wasn't there and was like, oh, she is. Let's pick the fucking phone up.
The MTV movie was you referring to. She wasn't invited to that either. She was never cast as a main cast member. And I still, it blaws my mind that she still holds this movie in high regards.
This should have absolutely brought her. But the kind of person that she is, she didn't allow it to. She wanted to get that. Jeez.
Yeah. You can't talk about this film without actually talking about Rachel True and how bad she was trapped through this film because it would be a complete service to her and her character. There's always been a history of stuff like that. But she was one of the more interesting characters in this because this could have been, I know it could have been a teeny movie.
It could have just been a symbol of some girls being messing around with things they don't know about. But this one, as I said, was more about friendship, like all these kind of lost souls kind of come together, quit and respond. And then it shows you kind of like, and this is where I get a little bit of true life as well. Because when people do get a little bit of an ego, a little bit of like full of themselves at times, the two kind of change at times, you can see that like every day, like it doesn't matter what kind of walk of life.
And it's kind of like the Sarah character as well. She's probably more grounded and like humble of the ones. Because she doesn't really change too much. Like the things that the others do, you go from absolutely nothing to like all the things that have been there past to being like the most popular, the most powerful, the most functional, especially the Nancy character as well.
But Sarah's kind of like the still the most grounded. And she, when she tries to take control of that, like kind of the actions of no one has gone too far, how quickly like said the Sarah, like the Bonnie and the Rochelle character, who you think would, because they were always nice to her and kind of say, how quickly they turned on her as well. And still with Nancy, because she was the most powerful one. Well, as a thought, but she wasn't.
But she wasn't. The only reason they three have any power is because Sarah came into the fold. Sarah is the only true way, shout of all of them. So they're only the reason anything works for them.
And it only work when she's there, apart from when Nancy envalks the deity. There's a scene that's being cut from the film and they did it for for good reason, because we wouldn't have the end in that we have now. And it is a good ending. It is the bathroom scene where they all gangle on Sarah.
Well, in the deleted scene, it's not it's Nancy who gangs up on them all. Right. And she breaks them all as well. She is vicious.
Her tongue is sore, sharp. And she breaks every single one of them. When it would never work with the end in where Rochelle and Nivhambe will stand. What's Nivhambe's body?
When they stand together with her, it would never have worked because why would they do that? After what she just said to them. So that was put and the scene was created in where they all gandered on Sarah. But they are nothing without her.
And it's such a shame because Robert Toni is not good in this film. Oh, we'll talk about a mop acting like she is wooden throughout the whole thing. And I don't know what if that is because she is standing next to greats. And she's just downfall is because of that.
But she is the way she talks is sort of, she has nothing to her. I do love her. I do love her. I really do.
Yeah. She just doesn't feel particularly likeable. Does she either? She's quite smarming.
And she's quite like, I'm going to take anyone's advice and like. I know it's all that. Yeah. Like one of those people that can't do any wrong or like, like, oh no, I was like, that was kind of a proud describe.
Yeah. A little bit. A little bit. When she's doing the witchcraft shop and she's like, she picks up these candles randomly by the way.
Just picks up two candles out of nowhere. And she's like, do you know how to use that? And she's like, yeah, like the week. I would have hit out with them.
I would give this a answer though. So how do you know how to use a candle? I would think they've been compromising to me now. That's like, it's pleasing to settle like that.
Sure. It's just like a generational thing. Like, but there's like, but any else we've been able to use candles. That's like, sorry.
Well, it's probably the noisence of sassnip. Like, yeah, but we have. What is it? How you using?
Depends. Depends. It's a plug itself. These days, yeah.
Yeah. One thing I do think is masterfully used in this film is to use a practical effects. I don't know. We've been on it about each week and like, how much of a difference it used.
And like, one thing that's still like, I still guess, shut this from it. It, this has one of the most realistic looking when all the, like, when a, when a, when a guy gets knocked on it, that looks so realistic and horrible at the same time. Like, you see, like, the guy going under the wheel and rolling and he's arm going around his back and leg. Like, you know what, it's a dummy, but it's so well done.
It's just, it's horrific. It's just time to perfection as well. I think that the time and the movie is done so well. I all love how them three just stand and I think, we did this and it's like Sarah's like, it was me bidders.
Oh, you did. Oh, you do. Oh, you do. Oh, I don't think you did.
Oh, you did. Cute. Yeah, cool. Cute.
Also, um, Rochelle's in the air, like, it's a feather. Yeah. Oh, it's a ball. Yes.
How many teenage girls tried that on a sleepwater? So he's actually did. I thought it was just a myth, but he's actually tried. Did anyone floss it?
Oh, no. Well, yes. Oh. Because enough of you and a little bit of pressure, a little bit, you know, if there's enough of you, then you can lift a body.
They're stiff enough. Was it six eight of you or something? I thought it was just, I think maybe, maybe half of that. Maybe eight or nine girls.
Yeah. I didn't want to. So, so I know an ex-meadork. We have very little.
Yeah. We have to try to find the smallest and lightest person, Chris. And we will try to see if we can get you off the floor. See what happens.
We'll drop your cross. Yeah. But it's the same kind of practical effect as they didn't go, supposed to. Yeah.
Kind of at all. Yeah. They're in the middle. And then blank that out later.
But yeah, I still love that one. I still love the fact that you can see underneath there. If you can, and even on four K Itali, nothing's ruined. No.
Yeah, it still looks really cute. Yeah, it's great. They could have just like really badly just for super-poster. Because that was the technology, but I'm also glad it did that.
So yeah. It's like funny wires. So these four girls as well, they all had their wish when they first invoked the spirit. Like one of them wanted love, one wanted to pay back, one wanted to be a bit of a scars, and one wanted not to be trailer trash anymore.
So to go on to your lovely ladies, if you had that chance, like if you're 14, 15 year old self, what would you have walked back then? And what would you have walked now? Better teeth. Right.
Better teeth. Okay. Better teeth. Just give us better teeth.
Give us better teeth. And a body that is in proportion with normality. Because I have the torso of a short person, but the legs of a long person. And yeah, my proportions are completely out.
Yeah, it's vanity. I don't give a shit. I don't give a shit. So that's vanity.
Yours is vanity. That's fair enough. Vanity. Would that be for you 15, 14 year old Sami?
Or is that a social? I'm 41 years old. And I still feel exactly the same way I did then as I do now. What's weird is I have the opposite problem.
So we could look into some surgical options. Do you want to? Swag on. Oh, swag on.
Should we friend get something this? Yeah, why not? Oh my gosh. This is turning a lot weirder than I was expecting.
This is friendship I never thought about. You weren't expecting weird with this. I knew we'd go on places by the next back, like, spot in each other's body parts. I'll try anything.
I think at 14, 15, I would have probably wanted fame and fortune. And power and all that, like, all that stuff. No. Uh, I don't know.
Like serious answer. Yeah, I don't know. It's a difficult one. It's a really difficult one.
Like, I know that young me would have wanted the world. I would have probably gone like Nancy. So you're the one full Nancy back then? So, yeah.
Yeah, which is, you know, at that age, and into my early 20s, I was going for auditions for things. You know, I was in bands. I was, yeah, I was very fame hungry. I was very like looking for my break.
Good job, YouTube wasn't around back then. Otherwise I'd be interested. Oh, thank God, like, phones weren't around. Man, like, the stuff that I was doing, I'm so glad that it was not, of course, in any way, shape or form.
Oh, yeah. I've done the girl bands. I've done drama school. I went and did it in college.
I went to auditions and walked out of them because I've got to stay right. Oh, yeah, I completely did need some because I got so scared. But, you know, I did quite well for some. And I thought, OK, this is it.
I swear to this day, if I had broken through it, like 19 years old, I would not be here today because I was just, I did not, because they know. Yeah. I don't want the fame thing. I just wanted the creative side of it.
That's all I wanted to do is be creative. I wish I could lie and say that. But no, I don't want to say that. Oh, I don't know.
I think, I think now if I could summon anything, maybe just maybe influence, like, how could I talk myself into getting, how can I talk myself into getting a position here? Or could I talk myself into a placement over here? And like, I've talked about it before, but my absolute dream would be to go and be part of Tom Savini's school, for example. So, you know, maybe like the gift of the gap, maybe just like extra charm, a bit kind of like.
I don't think you could have any more charm. That's the thing. So yeah. Oh, you.
And that sounds really weird. I'll do a little bit reverse. I would wish I would have the confidence and probably some of the needs that I think when I was voting. But with the knowledge and the know-how that I've got now, that's a thing.
So I almost like all the lessons I've kind of learned in the 40 audios I've been around. But with the same confidence and vigor that I had, when, because when I was 14 and 15, I know something you mean a little bit when I was a little bit older. But I thought I was in Vince, so I was going to take over the world. Like, I think there was nothing I could not do.
Like, I know it sounds way like sports wise and stuff like that. I was always like in any sports. And I was always going to be sports. And it wasn't for me dodging names.
I'll probably, not say that. I'd say possible to say you wouldn't hear it. But I probably would have done a lot more than I did. But I think no one would have known that with a lot of the experiences, like I do want to say the experiences.
But I think about how that confidence, I would probably not run more doors than I did now. It's probably, as you said, anxiety and not fear of rejection, but just fear in general. That stops. It's not just me.
I was 40 year old. But I'd be confident that I was when I was studying 15. Fuck, what do we say? It's crazy how confident you, like I was a cocky teenager.
I wasn't even cocky when I went to college. Like, I was mow the years, fuck. Like, all I was going to remember when we first met the same mouth as I was. I'm a complete opposite of that now.
Like, anxiety has kicked me so hard that I'm like, shut up. So yeah, I kind of agree with that. I don't want, I don't ever want to go back to being that age again. I said, before, you couldn't pay to go back to that age again and relive that time.
Not because of just fucking here at school. And I never ever want to go back there. The people that say that high school is the best year of your life. What are you doing wrong for a risk of life?
I'm sorry. But not to be judgmental here, but Jesus Christ. Aim higher. You know?
Yeah, the best years of your life wasn't when you were at school. You know, make decisions for me, self. You know, believe me, on stuff. But like, you know what I mean?
I'd fuck all the deal with that. That's like, yeah, it is. I was not having to answer to a field court adult, so I would address you like this. Oh, you sure words.
Oh, it's good. It's interesting that you talk about like school life and stuff as well. Because normally when it comes to like these type of movies, like teenage rom, not not teenage rom, teenage. Teenage movies.
Teenage movies. Oh, at the end of the stage, but one thing that the Americans normally do is that they're going to glamorize or make the American high school experience so appealing that everyone wanted that as a go back, like say it by the bell, like California dreams. Like everyone thought it was about it. Like sleep by the high and stuff like that.
I just wanted to live that lifestyle. The promise me all sorts when I was going to company just never happened. I never got a locker. Where's my locker?
We see a lot of it. This representation in the craft was quite a lot like teenage or like, I wouldn't say at school, but more college life, just how the different facets of people acted and dressed. Like there was always people's threaded rumors. There was always people like one of the people on the cool down.
And this was quite a true reflection and it kind of related a lot more in this movie. This is probably why I gravitated towards because it didn't glamorize or over like make everything look shiny and perfect. Yeah. This was like the last year side of like the school.
So I was like, shit, I could understand why you don't like this person. I understand why it was tough for these people and being from them different backgrounds as well. And again, it wasn't kind of short case and the perfect American lifestyle. And all from the house, I was moving into that new house and it was like one of those getting massive mansions that, oh, look, I was single parent.
I can afford this. It's like, no, no, you can't. Oh, with that Mediterranean Los Angeles bloody decor. Don't like it.
And Chris, I love it. I give a soft spot for it because Marilyn's house was decked in that Mediterranean. And it's nice to agree, but when it's all over, I just, I don't want to take like, you know what? It's because of Jennifer Tilly's house in Brader Chucky.
I love that. I love that house that he is. Yeah. It's so quintessentially Ellie.
Yeah. Yes, it is. And that's what that house looked like as well. And the character Chris, can I just say, Nancy did every one of the other.
Nancy did the world of fear for when she kicked him out of that window, because he would have went on to be one of the worst human beings that Grace is. So her boot was a gift from above. Can I just say something about her as well? Because he wasn't asked all.
He was in the clear spot. I can't. That's what that would be. Yeah.
But we know from our experiences, I mean, something most, like not say old blocks, that's the worst thing to say. We know of people and that acted the exact same way as Chris did back then. That used to tell lies. Used to never go the one way or going a little huff and trying to spend the one little narrative.
So even though he is a horrible character, he is one of the most true reflecting characters of the age range from anything. Content percent. I can image. I can put I can put I can put faces to the people Paul has just said right now.
And we would probably be thinking of exactly the same people. And you are right. He is a true reflection of what Bali is because that's all he is. Is at that time, but I just feel like she really did the world of favor by taking him out.
I just didn't. I really didn't like the character. I thought his friends should have joined him because they were awful. Even though I love the kid who he's always a stoner.
Yeah. It is a clueless. Yes. Yes.
