Now we're live. We're live. Hi everyone and welcome to the AlipNoth podcast. It's an AlipNoth and it's hosted by you know the nerds.

I am Wally Horsam. And I'm the other host Paul. And as usual, we are joined by the person that we can't seem to keep away. He seems to be popping up in every orifice but he can get access to.

It is the captain himself. Captain Goodwill. That is his new name. Hello Captain.

We are joined by a first timer. Oh, the lovely Sarah from the Nadion North Group. You might have seen many Boston and especially in the Discord where she does like a chirping and tell us a lot about herself as well. So Sarah, give us a big of your first time.

I know I've started to run the bus a little bit just before we went live. I was a little bit about yourself then. Oh, I have a few little nerdy things that I could want about every now and then. You might have seen me go by Sarah Peach in the Facebook or Discord.

The Peach is a nickname that I've had for like years and years and years. Kim is a result of me miss speaking one time and it really really stuck. I was talking about one of my nerdy's which is like 90's music. Especially Britpop.

So I was very much in the like the Manic Sweet Preachers. And I said the Manic Sweet Preachers one day and that is literally where that goes. That is literally it. I often say that I'm small ginger and fuzzy as well.

So that would work as well. Yeah. It's a good one by your chance. It's a good one.

It's a standard one. Reunited again. Yes. So Sarah has been so kind just because like she does listen to the podcast and she normally does chirping but the Discord afterwards to talk about.

So I thought I'm going to push her buttons and say let's see if we can get her on. So yes. I've got to turn into one of them I guess I guess. But yes.

So she's been very kind and been very brave, bless her. And coming on to join us for tonight's episode. And just before we start as well, I just want to wish everyone a happy Mother's Day. Next day I hope everyone's been spoiled rotten.

All the meals out there. So thank you. And I hope you had a nice day and Mrs. Weatherwell.

I mean, Marlle. Hi. She has the best day. She had it with me.

She had it with me. She had it with me. I love Trusses. Wow.

We are three minutes in. We'll call you the Mother's Guide. We'll call you the Mother's Guide. We'll call you the Mother's Guide.

It happens before the three minute mark. Let's be honest. Yes. This is what happens when he doesn't have movement.

Shine is in. The moon shines as a gone. I've lost it. I am.

That's actually a good segue. Yes. For the Sunday question, which goodwill? The LSE is hard.

It tried to pull out on Tuesday, but it's a Sunday question goodwill. This is the end of the week. I told her. Can we not mention our office is all pulling out please?

Because I'm getting a reputation now. It's already on the chat goodwill. Everyone's talking about it. Hi, everyone in the chat.

But the big question is how are you doing and what you're being watching? Not too bad. I love the guest. I love the guest.

Sarah. I'm doing all right. I'm tired. I've had a busy day.

Yes. Overall. Excited. Never so tonight.

I'd like to keep them. It's been a busy month for live gigs for me. I think the clearly several times this month. I've been in the middle of the weekend.

All of a sudden. I'm there four times this month. Watching wise, my son has recently got an obsession with dance monsters on Netflix. It's like a reality show.

I don't like reality shows. I'm kind of into it now. I don't say it. It's just like a fancy rain.

Yeah. So yeah, it's just kind of like professional, semi professional tik tok dancers who don't have the self confidence to be a face to face on the stage. They get a CGI generated monster allocated to them. This monster dance is on stage.

And they get a big prize at the end of it. How do we get good while involved in this? I think you'll have to contact Ashley Vanjo on that one. I'll get a email.

You want to go on any con that's what I've actually done to it? I've got an idea. I just want to talk about Star Trek. Oh, Captain Goodwill be ill.

Sorry. So other than Dance Munch is there anything else you think that's the chain of your fancy? I watched the lore according to Lydia Poet recently, which is a new one on Netflix. It's based on the true story of the first female lawyer in Italy.

Oh, that's interesting. I haven't done too much reading on the real person to be honest, such a known space on her and the character in the show goes around. She gets disbarred as the first female lawyer because, you know, women can't do anything at the time. Bearing in mind this is the 1880s.

Oh my God, what a time to wow. Yeah, so she got disbarred after qualifying and helps her brother solve mysteries. All right. So it's like an Elna Horn-type thing but actually real.

Yeah, yeah. I mean, I doubt that the mystery she solves a real book, you know. I like the... I still think in my head Sherlock Holmes is still real to me.

And I'm sorry. Is he not? Please, I'm just... I am John.

I'm not biting with that one. I am John. It's a Captain Goodwill. What have you been watching?

How are you? Other than being abused and being the most... I'm dying. I'm the most broadcast person from the New York North ever.

Every time I've seen something... I'm not going to be on my own. Can you see it? Have you been live this week?

This is the fifth day I have been live. You have been gone. Early up and off. Sleep is but a myth.

But I have watched content. Ah, content. Being obviously the last of us finale, which we discussed at length last year, is to go back and watch out. And finally, I caught up on the Mandalorian.

I was going to watch the latest episode today, but I realized there was an hour and I was like, shit, I'm doing this and half an hour. So a few of the episodes have only been half an hour long, isn't it? There's been all over the place. Like the first episode was 32 minutes, so I was just like, why bother?

And then the second one was more reasonable, you know, like I think it was like 45-50 minutes, and then this one was an hour. I think this is a very weak season. Mmm. I think it's trying to find its feet again after like the thing, but I love the second episode.

I thought it was very much in the fail of Return of Oz. I failed for some reason. I don't know why, but I did the end of Oz. Possibly the Emeralds and going under the Underground City, and these monsters chasing them down, and then the TikTok man and stuff like that.

But I enjoyed that one. But again, I think it's going to be a transitional season, shall we say, for the Mandalorian? Because the first two was just basically to get Grogo back to where they are. And now it's basically fine to recapture Mandalore-type things.

But I have heard on the Ziggripe Vine that Filonia has been teasing a crossover event in the future with the Mandalorian, Boba Fett, Sogaton, or etc, etc. Whether or not it happens, and I don't know, but we're in that sort of period universe-wise on the TV. So it could be fun. Could be very clone-wisey.

But apart from the Mandalorian, like I said, I've been on the early-out-n-off four times on a podcast, one-son-twitch. Other than that, though, really not much. I've watched this week. I think it's a little bit of a feeling.

Yeah, I just want to do it as clear as well. We don't force goodwill into doing this. We do force him into doing certain things, but this is what's his choice. I want my family back, Paul.

I'm going to be more believable back in Naptie Dog. That's out to my mother, Happy Mother's Day. Shout out to my grandmother, Happy Mother's Day. I've been being all soft and sweet.

No, no, that is sweet. Happy Mother's Day. Yes, so some of you have been watching. Oh, I've been watching, but I'm not being watching.

And on Tuesday, I forced my husband into watching a League of their own, the little hang-sillum, because it is just being phenomenal. And I finished my second run of one of my choices tonight. So I'm not going to mention it. Oh, what my aunt watched.

And I was catching bits and pieces of it. Was it an ethics documentary on the airplane that went missing? Oh, right. In Malaysia?

Oh, in H370, I think. Yeah, wow. From what I watched, wow, that's a lot. He watched the end of it.

And I was like, was there a conclusion? And he was like, no. I was like, I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And we watched the first episode of the Mandalorian, because we are a little bit behind.

I have not seen the final episode. All of us, of us. Right. So we're coming in.

Come on, Tuesday then. Well, if I was coming on on Tuesday, I would have watched it on Tuesday, but with Anne's birthday, I didn't get a chance to end that force into watching their own. So you're picking it off. All right.

So here's birthday. You make him watch stuff you want to watch. Is that how this works there? Yes.

That's all I was looking for. I'm coming live with me. I'll tell you who's boss Paul. That's what it is.

But now I'm going to have you to live one more again. Now I finished my second run of that one. And I started the Marvelous, Mrs. Mearsall.

Oh, I like that. But I started being unstarched watching it when I first came out. And I just dropped off. Just not because I wasn't enjoying it.

I just dropped off it. And with a new series, I'm coming out this year. I thought, I'll just go back to the beginning. And do you know what I can never watch?

Did I remember any of it? So it's a good job. I'm going back. But that is what I have been watching this week.

Oh, very cool. Now, I'm excited to hear I am still staying away from the Moon China's. I haven't made a return as of yet because let's be honest. I'm falling out with another.

And I want to keep the memory fresh and the love there for the Moon China's all the life that sort. Shadow to the Moon China's. But I have been watching something new. And it's not Discovery Plus people.

So that's a bit of surprise. I'm a little bit obsessed with this and watched the two seasons in one day, starting up till five in the morning, one day, actually watching it because I needed to know how it ended. Head lasso. Yeah, I knew you were going to say that.

I didn't realize how fucking good this sure was. So good. We watched it last year, just like literally the same as you one after the other. Because I couldn't.

I was devastated. I couldn't actually get the link for the last episode of season two the nearly a week after a came out and I was heartbroken. It's so good. No, like more than anything, the writing was absolutely brilliant in the characters.

So I was worried it was just going to be under the football as wives. When you say the trailers and like all the different avenues, you think, oh, I don't know if I can actually handle that. Because the football was wives, look, you're on a journey. I feel that you went on.

Yeah, well, I look at the film with his living at my well, spending a lot of time in Manchester at the time that this was getting filmed. I used to drink the pub with a lot of the people that were in the show. Oh, right. Okay.

So you had an obligation to watch it. Yeah. And that and Holly, also, there's a few people from Holly, obviously used to drink another bar that I used to drink. Oh, yeah.

One minute and the other about this thing is nearly as tall as you, Sarah. So don't worry. Yes. And this is a bit of a bitch.

I'm sorry, just put it out there. No, exclusive. An exclusive there. But yes.

Um, but yeah, it's just like, it isn't at all comedy because there's some fruity language I'd say that my dad wouldn't approve of when I was done with about today. Same as me, just watch the podcast. Um, but yes, the writing on the story time, that's very wholesome. I'm very like, say, just makes you want to do better.

I think that's a bit. Yeah, he does. He put he completely put a smile on my face. Just because it was just it didn't it didn't wear thin.

So that whole persona could have really worth it and really quickly. And it doesn't I am absolutely like head over heels and love with them. Roy Kent, even Jamie, like even Jamie, he's an asshole, but he kind of comes with a little bit of a lovable asshole as well. Yeah, I fell in love with Sam as well.

He was just so adorable. He's just so cute. And the but the underlying story that goes with with the whole series is just it's phenomenal. It's such a shadow to men's mental health.

Yes, and it's done in such a beautiful way. Um, I love it. I'm waiting for the 30s to finish and we will literally just binge it. Yes.

So yes, so, um, starting on without the wait and wonderful. So sorry guys, I'll try and watch swing swing swing swing for next week's episode of promise. Please do. I mean, come on.

This is what the people are wanting. This is what Lee and Chris are getting off on. And then I go to Paul and he's doing China's. But say another, I do have some of yours.

I can't see me. So I'll just keep this here. Just make sure that you can. I'll just do jagony as time.

So I get to call them. I wear it. Grant didn't actually dare us to wear it with nothing else. I was like, no, I'm not getting done for that.

I'm not getting that type of favor. Do you know what though? I'm still wearing it. But thanks for having my course.

Yes. So give your phone over first. But yes, so get the plugs in as well. Like say we are going to be hosting the cosplay competition.

Um, we are going to be naming the judges this evening as well. Because I want to be partaking as a judge. I am a staking step back because to be honest, I'm not really naughty, which I'll cosplay. And I'll probably just pick the one that looks prettiest.

And that's probably not fair. So just put that out there. Um, but yes, we've got some people that are experts in a lot of different aspects. Like this goodwill is going to be one of our judges.

And he is our sci fi nerd. We've got Sam who is like the game of thrones fantasy nerd. And we might have one or two others. So I'll let them come out for the surprises later on.

Yes. So I'm going to do the skamf that I putch it. You did not try to do it though. Like no one else has done it by your thoughts.

Charlotte's done it before. Alright, sorry. Charlotte's done it once before. But you sounded brilliant.

It wasn't BBC worthy, but it was good. It was good. I joke. I joke.

So I'm going to make a really bad comment there. I thought no, that'll get me cancelled totally. So I'm just texting it. I'm not.

So everything discussing today's episode is our opinions and our opinions alone. If you'd like to discuss anything from today's episode, I'll leave you comment in the Facebook group where we can have an open decision. What we won't have is anyone comment for us in town. This is our opinions are wrong.

We can all agree to disagree and abandon. So let's give it a fun. Give a kind and give the toxic behaviour out of nerdism. Well done.

Yes. And she didn't say what in us. So it's always better there. Er, no, but I finally nailed the game with the wrongs, all in it.

And instead of just like living in it and like you've done it, I just went fuck yeah. And you will check that out now. Period on please. It's only £2 and you can watch Sami gets here for you.

If you get back at your rock soft, that'll be like to your content. That's great content. Yes. So tonight's episode is our top five American sitcoms.

Now I thought this was going to be really, really easy. And it's been a complete minefield. It's probably changed. My top five has changed more this week than any others.

Even to the point of half an hour before we went live. I was taking one's out and put one's in. If anyone caught us at the beginning, and my face lit up, that was me changing in a pic. But I tell you what though, I know I'm going to go out with mushy and soft here.

What a nice memory really and to think about these as well. Because I think with these ones, it's like a nice warm blanket. It's like a comfort zone here. And that's what I felt when I was thinking about these.

Because normally when you think about your top five, it's like a pressure on. You think why does this mean this to us? And you think, oh, like all the mics memories. I've not had a bad memory or bad thought about anything I've thought about this week.

Like why I'm picking these or it's just made a smile a lot. And I don't know about you guys. No, I couldn't agree with you more. And what made me smile even more is that my husband picked my top five.

Oh. But it was just, we were talking about it last night. And I've had like a list like run through my head. And I was, did you know what?

I'm just going to have to narrow it down. And I said to him, top five Americans at comms, he went for you. And he just listened to all five. And he went, and it's just goes to shore how well he actually was.

Oh, that's always right away. And you don't want to let him watch his own things on his birthday. That's see, that's harsh. I know.

But yes, so how did you find it Sarah? With it in your first time doing a live top five rather than being in the audience? So yeah. I think I've visited similar to you.

But I kind of, it got to a point where I just kind of had to leave it and went right. That's it or I will be changing it right up to the end. I had about, I had a top 10. Right.

And I kept swapping them in and out in and out. And no, a couple of days ago I went right, this is my final list. I've got a few notes on each of them. I'm going to leave it at that and ignore the list for a couple of days because it will just, I'll be in every five minutes changing it.

Yeah. I like that. Because I normally go with like the first five that is going ahead. But with this, it wasn't the five that came into me head.

It was like 10, 20. And I know when I was thinking, I was like, oh yeah, that one. Oh yeah, that one. And I gave him to me that today, like ones I was talking about.

Like I don't know if he's remembered with well, two five good old now. You know, be able to remember because he's a young and all these, been all 40 and stuff, all nearly 40. I remember comedy channel before, just showing friends. Used to have all the old sitcoms like Taxi, sorry if anyone's picks his wings and like, say a soap.

Fucking the soap was brilliant by the way. What was it? Yeah, that was such a good one. Wow.

It's just like I come from back to was there. Yeah. But not all of them different things were just absolutely like just little memories and little nostalgia pockets that just popped and like say like something I needed. I think this way because I'll be honest, I'll be honest, I'll be honest.

I'm out of shit. Wait, let's be honest. Mental health wise, it's been a tough one for a lot of people. Makes sure I'm not one of these people that's ashamed to say that I've struggled this week.

But this is thinking about doing this and thinking about these things has really helped and made things. So this is going to be my therapy tonight. So I do apologize. This is, no, don't ever apologize.

This is what we are here for. We are a nerdy therapy session. This is where you get a hash out everything. Yes.

I'd make sure we have all that these things as well. Like they bring them back good emotions and nice emotions as well. So I'm quite excited. But again, I'm not going to be selfish for once.

I'm going to be really. I'm going to be very nice. So I'm going to let a lovely new guest go first. So, Sarri, you've got the number one pick.

Number one pick. And all right, the first one I've chosen has it's one of the earliest ones I can remember actually seeing an episode of and it reminds me of my grandma because well, because of the subject of it and it was something that I actually watched with her quite a lot. You know, it's it's your traditional like it's funny. It's so be a tart belt.

It did tackle a few to poos as well, which I think is what I found is one of the themes that I've got going through mine tonight. There are things in there which shouldn't be heartfelt. The ones that I've chosen do have their moments of going headfirst into like the hardest stuff. I love that.

We may have the same list. I mean, there are a lot of things that do that as well also. Yeah. The do kind of go into it.

But I mean, the one that I've chosen, it's it's it's sure as that no matter what age you are, you can move away a single day to be promiscuous but still have great friends like people around you who love you and you love them. And it's kind of like a version of the Ultimate Adopted family. You can't lean into you can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends. Yeah.

You can choose your cult. You can choose your cult, yeah. We can't. But you can't.

But you can't. My first pick is the Golden Girls. Oh, damn it, it's on my list. I'm sorry.

I think the theme tune now. I was actually going to I was going to start and I was going to sing the theme tune, but yes, Golden Girls is on my list. You can start singing if you want. Sing it.

I'm not going to do it now. That's where my get it in a bit. Yeah, it's on my list. Yeah.

And I've actually I was quite upset when I found that I couldn't find my Golden Girls t-shirt. So I've won this, which to some, there'd be a link. Yes. Yes.

I guess. I guess. As we, as some of you may or may not know, B.R.S.'s image appeared on a t-shirt in the Deadpool movie. Yes.

And reportedly Ryan Reynolds paid quite a large amount of money to B.R.S.'s favorite charity in order to use her image. And again, it's kind of like sticking to that authenticity because Deadpool himself in the comics was a big Golden Girls fan. Yes. And I just really appreciate the fact that they allowed him to use it for like a charitable donation.

And I mean, one of my all-time favorite actresses is Betty White. Yes. And it's again, it's the first thing I saw her in and you know, I fell in love with that. And you know, I can't really say enough good things about Betty White.

Yeah, she's a big fan of her. I was a Blanche fan, but for obvious reasons. So. I've got bits and bobs about them.

I want to say though, because like, you know, it's, you know, at one point, it was blamed for creating a whole generation of gay men. Right. You Golden Girls. Yes, yes.

And I mean, you know, I'm going to say this is sarcastically in case it doesn't come across, but you know, how dare they give an entire generation the idea that being gay is okay. Yes. Yes. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, there's an episode that I'd like to follow the gay statement up with. And it's Blanche's brother.

And now he was going to marry another man. And at the time of the year, he's kind of like, is that right? Is that not right? I mean, some places are still like that now.

But I don't want to go to the politics side of that. But Sophia turned around and said to him, you know, everybody wants someone to grow old with shouldn't everyone have that chance. And I just think it's a great, like, it's kind of like an acceptance. Yeah.

And, you know, an FU to the people who didn't like like that statement at the same time. So it's kind of like, you know, well, it's not the only like example of stuff like that. You know, Blanche again, you could see I was like a sex educator. Oh definitely.

Yeah. You know, she was sex positive. She hooked up with lots of different men. But at the same time, she just stood up and taught us that women, especially older women could do that.

And it was that again was okay. And again, there's like my example for that one is the event to the store. Do I condoms one time? You know what?

It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter.

It doesn't matter. And typically, like, you know, there was a price check on these condoms. So there was an announcement over the tunnel, you know, coming up and price check on these condoms. And obviously, four older women stand at the tail and like people walk and cast giving them like dodgy looks and things like that.

Yeah. But then Blanche takes the tunnel and basically gives a speech on like, you know, being safe and, you know, sexual responsibility and stuff like that. And I just thought, you know what? Yeah.

There's no shame in it that you're not back at the album. We don't buy in the condoms in the first place. You know, it's kind of it's going back to that. There was the time when like sexually transmitted diseases were absolutely rife in care homes and like homes for the elderly because they thought they didn't need to use that anymore.

And it's kind of reflected on that. Mm hmm. No, I can say it's a great pick as well because like if you think about what the type of show it was, it was groundbreaking. And they would like kind of say it's showing all the ladies like in a different light that they've probably never been shown before.

And as well as far as say, we wouldn't have shows like Sex in the City if it wasn't for other gourm girls. No, no, no, no at all. Um, yeah. And I mean, even then it's like it's it's it's incredibly funny and it wasn't free of the controversy.

Um, there was that hearted and stuff with that mix of funny and heartwarming stuff. And again, it was like a fuck you to we will see what we want. And I like that attitude in people. Yeah.

And I think that a lot more older women should have that attitude. Yeah, absolutely. Well, yeah, all the generation now that's a good direction. And I am going to swear my head off when I'm in a care home.

Yeah. I will tell you what I think. Oh, there was one more thing that I wanted to touch on as well because I think it was an important thing because of the the To-Boomness of the subject in the 80s. And there was an episode where Rose bet you why it's character actually thought that she might have AIDS.

Oh god, it's so sad. It's such a sad episode. And I think it's kind of it was massively taboo seen as shameful. It was literally a death sentence for people at the time you had that.

Um, but I mean, again, it was lunch again. She came forward and she said, it's not a bad person's disease. Yeah. It was such an educational episode.

And you've got to remember these episodes of 20, 25 minutes long. There's not a lot of time to fit in the message that they want to portray. But that episode is so powerful because it because Rose acts like that's it. Or the contochany one can't do this can't do that.

Like and Blanche is like, you need to educate yourself. That was the premise of everything is educate yourself. And it was such a fantastic episode. I think that the women involved with the show as well, they had very much like a lot of control and a massive say of what one I was what wanted to do.

As soon as that kicked off, like I remember, like, it used to be Friday nights. It used to be on those nights. I was like, yeah. I was like, yeah.

It used to be the American sitcom nights because that's where like friends got like started out and like everything used to go on channel four on the Friday nights. But and the, I said, it used to have certain episodes on it's semicolp. But like the hard-hitting ones used to be on always a bit later. Yeah.

But I also remember because like we used to be sure I used to watch me, man. And I didn't get half the jokes or half the humor because I don't think I was the target audience. But I just remember like the energy and like the like the magic that had between all four of them, all four of them had the elements where it was like you would never be able to get that chemistry again. Like if you pick four people and try to get them in a room, like each one of them like B Arthur, like B Arthur was just starwood.

Like she looked at her and she had a presence and she had like star, like everything she did was just pure star, like kind of just good queens. And Betty White was just a lovable like one you just wanted to give a quote of co-to and she had that career that she never changed and like elements as a two as well. But no, I was hoping I'd say the Golden Girls wouldn't go out, probably new with Sammy. I'm glad that one of the first ones that came up with the shirt as well.

I'll go, I'll take my pick next, which is the Golden Girls. So why is the Golden Girls for you then Sammy? Honestly, it's just, it's been such a staple since I can remember. I can't pinpoint when I found it, but I've just constantly gone back and I have never been so fucking happier when it came on Disney Plus because it is the hardest got down short find on streaming platforms, especially if you want to watch it in order and you know the order, like don't get it wrong, every episode is something completely different.

But when you know the order of that show and it's not and it totally messes Europe, so I'm so happy that Disney Plus have it. And it is just such a pioneer in series for its time. The language that they use, the subjects that they cover, these women knew exactly what they were doing, exactly what they were doing in that series. And I go down massive rabbit holes when I get involved with the Golden Girls.

And I love the fact that they're all the same age. If not actually, I think Roo and Kanna Han was actually younger, she was probably the youngest out of all of them. And there wasn't that much difference between Stella Geddy and Beyatha. But Stella Geddy did go and do the naughty, I'm gonna be a slipped.

And the studio went fucking crazy. Because she's meant to look older than Beyatha. When natural fact, if you took the makeup off, she looks a hell of a lot younger than that. And I just, I love the chemistry between the women.

I love Roo, Kanna Han so much. That southern bell, that you know where that woman's come from. She's from the south. You know the values of how she grew up.

That is not the person that you say live in in that house. Like she grows, she expands, she's just, oh she's absolutely phenomenal. So when the series ended, because Beyatha left, of course, the last series, she started to dwindle out of it. And they tried to revive it with a hotel, as many of you have seen the series.

But they've moved into a hotel. It's not called the Golden Girls anymore. It's called something like the Golden Hotel or something, or the Gordon Times. It's something like that.

In the movie, the Golden Work and the Hotel, and it's just the three of them. It's still Geddy, Roo Kanna Han and Beyatha. And Don Giedel, very, very young Don Giedel, works in the hotel with them. And they have one of the most powerful scenes about racism.

Yeah, there's a lot of the flag in there. There's a confederate flag episode, yes. And obviously, you know where Blanche comes from. And that flag has a different meaning to her than what it does for Don Giedel.

And it's such a powerful scene. But I love everything about this show. I generally thought that this would be me one that wasn't going to be on anyone's list. But I really honestly did.

But the minute you started seeing ahead of its time, groundbreaking women. And then I was like, all right, okay, this is my first pick. But I'm really pleased that you did, because honestly, I'm planning for this show. I've got my husband watching it.

I am Beyatha and my sister to watch it. She can be birthday a couple of years ago. She got me a mouse set mouse mouse. And please, Matt, with all the women on it.

So I have a lot of blanches and room and Betty White's all over me. I was just a quick up son. It's one of the gourneys on my list. This one never knew of it.

I tried from me number one pick. This is the second one and said that I would pick with Beyatha Golden Girls. I just absolutely adore it. It is so lighthearted in some cases.

Even when they're talking about the nitty gritty, it's still lighthearted and funny. The fact that they could call each of the sluts and go away with this. They constantly use that word, but it's never used in it. It doesn't come across me as a drug-durabatory.

They are literally ripping the piss out of each other. To be fair, it's the same when we call the twat. It's kind of a love. So yes, my number one pick.

Probably wouldn't have been my number one pick if Sarah hadn't said it first. I probably wouldn't have waited to drop that pearl in, but yeah, it's all good girls. So good girls, do you want to go next? You're looking all smarmy and I'm really not.

I'm really not. So I'm trying to impress on the chat. So you turn it on. I have, as you know, I have deliberated this top five months.

This will be my first top five because I love me sitcoms. Yes. And there's far too bloody many to condense into five. I mean, you probably have been on more, more than them.

So I'll pay off. So far. My fifth month, my first one. I watched this when it came out and I sort of rediscovered it during the lockdown.

And it was something that I, it was the first lockdown. So it wasn't one, two or three Tokyo Drift. It was the last, you know, the lock in the down or whatever it's going to call. The original, the original.

Yeah. Well, we couldn't lock out the box without being taught in Sam. The car Vin Diesel's family became common. Oh, not the best.

It's not the best. And then, pretty much. The other one from the group as well. The other one that many means, but the family man, see is.

Yeah. I'm the only wheel man you need, guys. So this one I just covered, like I said, during lockdown, I'll give you some hints. 2006 to 2013 set at the lovely New York City, setting New York City.

This will probably give it away, starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. Set at 13 Rockefeller Center, manhan. It is 30 Rock. Very good.

Nice. So this essentially for me, because I am a huge Saturday Night Live fan. Absolutely huge. And you know, even if you have never seen Saturday Night Live, you can appreciate the stars that have been born from Saturday Night Live.

So when they were like, hey, Tina Fey has got this sitcom coming out, and it's Saturday Night Live on drugs. And he just like, what? Oh, okay. And I fell in love with it.

From the pilot all the way to the end. I absolutely adore this. Everyone in it, I loved Kenneth, who, you know, towards the end, was some sort of transcendent primordial being that's been around hundreds of years, but really wants to be a runner. It spoke, Kenneth spoke to me quite a lot when I first saw it, because I actually applied for NBC, Universal, in New York, when I left uni and I graduated.

And because they did this great apprenticeship scheme where they would, if you passed, they would pay for you to move to New York, and they would train you up for a year or two in, you know, what studio work or whatever you wanted to learn. And then if you passed, they would then give you a job on one of their subsidiaries in London or wherever around the world. So I applied for that. Obviously, I didn't get it.

Tell us you didn't choose an idiot north or NBC. Is that what it is? I also got a job on a cruise ship, but I'll talk about that at the time. So I was a singer.

How many gimmicks on you got? How many of you led? Too many, something to me. Well, this was, it was so funny, and it was so hilarious.

And they did what Will and Grist did, which was quite popular around this area where they did a lot of live shows, like a couple of live shows. But it was brilliant because as the people behind it worked for SNL, and it was, you know, the live stuff was filmed at Studio 8H where SNL was filmed. It was just literally a 45 minute SNL sketch. And we're taking a fair behind it.

It was just so funny. And the, the, two and from between Jack and Liz Lemon, Alec Baldwin and Tina Fey always used to get me because Alec Baldwin just played this like rich, like... It's played Alec Baldwin, let's be honest. It was Alec Baldwin.

Yeah, he played Alec Baldwin but like super rich Alec Baldwin. And it just, I absolutely, I loved it. I loved Tracy Jordan because he was just such a diva all the way through. I loved, I forget her name, I'll put Liz's best friend.

The blonde dad won't actually. Oh, so I was having Kimi Schneider and Bill. Yes. He is phenomenal actress.

Ah, so the biggest eyes in the world. Yes. But it was just so, it was always well written and it was just always like, it was a light-hearted dig at the pressures that the SNL crew face. Because obviously they work five to six days a week.

And like once they've done the side issue, they have like a day off and then run, you know, they're straight into the next year on the morning. And yet the turnaround is in, and it's shows, it like portrays like just how hard the crew work in the background. Because Saturday Night Live is, when you read about it and when you watch the behind the scenes, it is in sin. Like that crew to do an hour and a half sure every week at 11th or 30th night.

And do everything at speed, like changing sets, because it's only one studio on the speed of which they change. It's in sin. And this was sort of like a loving tribute. So I mean, it took the piss out of Saturday Night Live and Law and Michael's day over to see it.

But it was like a loving way to basically say, these are all type of on-path even drugs, right? Because they do a short midnight in New York City and they have to change sets in 30 seconds and completely change someone's vehicle. It'd be 10 seconds. And it was just, I loved it.

And I deliberately, this was one that was constantly dying in and out with my list. But I thought no, because for me, it was such a unique sitcom about technically a sitcom, like a live right? Yes, it's so, it's so meta. We started watching it again, Bella, for no other reason, but just because we did.

We actually really loved it. And I am a fan of Tina Fey, I think her comedy is hilarious, but Tracy Morgan is just a fucking delight to watch on screen. He really is. And absolutely delight.

That man is a treasure. He's just brilliant. But I will go back and watch it at some point. But I can imagine Law and Michael's had a lot of oversight on this.

Like, I can't imagine him not. Yeah. He, they did a lot of things like, he's very much a SNL, barbed in him. Yeah, that's what I did feel like I was watching an extended version of SNL live.

That's what I bought in due first. But then again, I think something else must have got came out and I kind of trialled away from it. Yeah. They also had a lot of special guests and Michael Keaton and stuff like that.

Just playing a janitor, where he's like two days from retirement or something like that. And he's just like, I'll just turn it through and then I'll go home and throw the pitch for the big game. I hope nothing happens. And he was just that sort of SNL type comedy in a movie camera.

I just, I absolutely, I absolutely love that. It is something I feel I will go back to, but I'm not in any rush to, because it's there. I live in to be get round to it. Cool, choice.

Yes. So I'll follow up with a link to the Golden Girls in a way. Because Betty White did cameo in this TV show and I think it was two episodes. This show.
