I'm alive. Well, hi, everyone. And welcome to the Nodhvarkas. It's a Nodhvarkas.
And it's hosted by another nerd. I am on your host, Sam. Now I'm on your host, Paul. And we are joined again tonight by the wonderful Dan from Blienen Marvellous.
It's just not a sick of us. I'm an upset guy. So that's fine. So it's all going good.
So how are you done? I know you've had a busy week. I'd like to say the last few weeks, pleasure. I'm here.
I'm Alri. I just say it then. Yeah. I'm all good.
I'm here. I woke up this morning. Yay. So I'm...
Well, I thought we'll get down on again. Well, we'll be trying to get down to come on quite a lot. But she is a very busy, really, because we say when time comes on, we do have a laugh and it's always a little bit entertained as well. So see who can swear the most?
No pressure then. No pressure. We'll be working on... Yeah, yeah.
Do your thing, Sami. I just want to say before we get into this, I just want to say huge congratulations to my little sister, and my new brother-in-law, as they got married yesterday. So congratulations to you, I just want to say that before we got started. Congratulations.
That's the most important question ever. How are you doing? Oh! And what you been watching.
Oh, I'm so also to see a university to Charlotte and Kefil who were made upon the podcast, they forgot there was a anniversary. So when is an anniversary? Yeah, we can we get into celebrations. So yes, I'm not too bad.
I left down and tell us what she's been watching it. Oh, if she's been watching anything. Have you had a chance to? Last night, I re-watch scanners.
Right. I saw your pause. Yeah. And you watch this again.
It's been donkeys. I think I was about, I want to say maybe 15, maybe a bit older the last time I watched it. And it's sort of stayed there, but bits have faded out. And I watched it last night.
And I was like, this is the most black shit in same film I've ever watched in my time. And the ending was still way worse. Well, way weirder than I thought it was. I remembered it being.
Yeah. As well. But yeah, the special effects is absolutely dying as well. But you can't make it so special.
It does, but you can't beat that head scene. No. Like, yeah. Is that a spoiler for later?
Is it? No. I crossed it off. I crossed it off.
Well, please. Well, yes. Well, you're something you've been watching. I can't remember.
Oh, well, you've had a busy weekend. I have such a busy weekend. I've only just got married yesterday. And it's been all gone.
Well, I was having to work. I just, cool. I can't remember. Oh, that's sorry.
I do remember. We restarted Brooklyn Nine-Nine. All right, cool. When I said can we start a community?
Yeah. Compromised. And we'll go back to the beginning of what Brooklyn. What's the new?
I'll go for the competition. No, I can understand that. I've been watching quite a few things. Because I'm trying to fill a moonshine as well.
That's being left behind. Because this should become shit. So I couldn't watch anymore. I've really watched SuperSaw.
So another American sitcom. It has some good episodes. It has some bad episodes. But it's just like, full of TV.
I think it's like turning brain off and just watch. But this is some genuinely good moments in it. I always would recommend to watch it on Netflix as well. I've been trying to re-watch Red Dwarf again in preparation for the Red Dwarf episodes.
So I'm on the season three of Red Dwarf as well. But I found a new show that it's even more worse and terrible than moonshine as. The thing is, well, you see that, but moonshine is wasn't the worst. Oh, I forgot that.
It's on a channel called Blaze. So that's shown you how to call me. And it's going to sound really wrong. But it's not based on the subject matter that you're probably saying it's called hard core porn.
Yeah, oh, god. Is it the phone shot? It's the phone shot in Detroit. The old dude with a leather jacket and a tatchet and a tatchet.
That's almost angry. It's the little angriest little woman ever. Like, I see their clips on TikTok all the time. And I get stuck in the internet.
Oh, I've watched one episode. I know me man watching it and told it about it. That sounds awful. It's fake as fuck as that fights and everything.
But just the children are the most vile people in the world. I just want to see them get the comeuppance and everything to go around. I just want them to feel. I know that sounds horrible.
But yeah, that's my new obsession at this moment. It's hard core porn. I just remember what we watched the other day. Actually, we started watching.
There's a couple of different documentaries. Come on, Netflix, the last couple of weeks. And D.B. Couple one.
Right. We started watching that. That was pretty interesting. But we also, I have a huge, and I don't understand where it comes from or why I even have it.
But I have a huge fascination with the wake-up stage. I know more about that than I should. Have you seen the TV show they did of it with, Oh, god, had Keira and Kalkin or Rory Kalkin in it? I think it was Rory.
I just know I'm creepy. I couldn't even Kalkin because he's a creepy guy. He's got the reason. Yeah.
That is really good because that's told from the two perspectives. So they both collabed on it. One of the guys in the sea and then one of the negotiators. So get a chance.
It's just cool. Wake up. I watch that. The documentary is really good.
I was getting an answer because I was like, well, this happens before. This happens. And it all links because it links with Ruby Rage, which again is really fascinating. And also the Oklahoma City Bombing.
All in the link with each of that. And it's because Timothy McVear, who did the Oklahoma City Bombing, which is probably actually is the worst terrorist attack in America. It's not, it's what's called when I think one of your own, who does it? Internal one.
Yeah. It's the worst that ever been on American soil. I was going to say, I was going to say, 9-11. 9-11.
It's like, it's like, they're one of their own who's done it. And he was there at Wiggle. Yeah. He was watching the siege happen.
And all he took from that was the trying to take their guns away from them. Can't be having this. And that's what planted the seas and laid. And it's so poking fascinating.
And I don't know if, because I'm only on episode one on the Wiggle. I don't know if they'll go into the connections between Ruby Rage and the Oklahoma City Bombing. But it's really, really interesting. What I've seen advertised, I think I might be the same one.
I was actually talking about, because normally it's the telly about the thing, but it's actually the people that we didn't, the cult and everything as well. So that's, seems like I've never heard of that perspective before. So that might be quite interesting. I haven't heard, to be honest, I've heard everything about why Kuresh should have been taken out.
But in my opinion, David Kuresh should have been taken out, but not in the way that it happened. That was unnecessary. There were children in that building. It was completely unnecessary.
But David Kuresh is a piece of shit. We'll talk about that on a true climb episode that's coming up. Honestly, honestly, there's something I've been watching that I've been holding back on because I'm waiting for that episode. I just remember that is what I've been watching this week.
Well, I've got a very weird connection because going back to Superstore, I've been on the set of Superstore twice when I've been to the US. And it's huge. That supermarket is absolutely massively interior. And I say about a year ago, I found out that Dina, Laura Nash, she does a true crime podcast called True Crime and Cocktails.
Oh, right. But basically it's her and her cousin, and they get absolutely wasted. And then they just talk about True Crime, which, oh, wow. They laugh for probably the first 45 minutes.
You, you can play about this show running over when I'm on it for about two hours, but they try to go for about two and a half. Because I just laughed. Well, last week went for three and a half. So yeah.
We were doing top five on our sitcoms. So that's why. And there's four of us on as well. Yeah.
So that was crazy. But yeah, it was worth it. But I couldn't talk at the end trying to like talk everything. And I was like, words are failing me completely now.
I mean, watching in part, but it was a very heartfelt episode. It was a lot of good memories come out. And we didn't actually, I think the Cosby's got mentioned, but we didn't go in a two for us. No, no.
It wasn't a wise choice. Yeah. Yeah. There's some things that you just, you just got to keep away.
And there's actually one of my choices on my picks at night. And when don't do it, it just wasn't a fucking conversation. You don't want to have it. So I was like, all right, I'll take your point.
But let's do it. Because this is a topic that I could talk about. I'll tell you what I'm going to do. Let's do it.
Let's do it. Sorry. I've also had me in the other hand. So be prepared.
I talk with my hands a lot. I'm going to be talking a lot more now. Right. So everything this is in today's episode is our opinions and our opinions alone.
If you'd like to discuss anything from today's episode, I believe it's coming down in the Facebook where we can have an open discussion. What we want to have is anyone come in for us and tell them there's our opinions are on. We can all agree to disagree and find them. Give a kind and give the positive behaviour of netism.
And Sam's posh voice comes out again there. My mother said it's a posh-a-side. Ever. So how do you guys find this top five?
Because I was not usually, I think this one was your choice. Was it something? It was the one thing that I can guarantee will come up in a topic of conversation during my day. Who died?
Who died? So how did you guys find this pick? Because I struggled a little bit this week. Yeah, it's a bit in down.
I could win off 20, I think, fantastic. But the five I've got, I think we're going to cross over on. So I have backups just in case. We've got to prepare.
We've got to prepare. Yeah. I was thinking, would Paul pick this? But I do that on every pick now.
Would Paul pick this? It'd be fair though. Mine's just going to be the fluffy ones. You're also going to be like the nasty ones.
I have a couple of nasties in there. But it was difficult because it was, well, how do I feel about it? Yeah. Like, how did it make me feel?
And the one that Ants told me not to put in was that really like, shock to the core. And so I'm good at using it. But then I looked at the rest of them and I was like, yeah, they're like, I can talk about these and tell you how they made me feel. So I'm happy with the choices I've made.
That was the thing. Because when I thought about it, there's ones that make you laugh, there's ones that make you cry, and there's ones that stick with you. And I've kind of went with the stick with you ones rather than anything. Because, like, I was going to be a bunch of unrollable mentions afterwards.
I don't want to give away any kiss on how to pick them as well. But, like, with Dan being a lovely guest, I'll not be the digger and go first. I'll let you go first this tear the sign down. So, it's getting kick us off.
Right. And it's not the obvious one, but I'm going to leave that one just in case you took on it as well. So, I'll take that one. My first one goes to, and this was, like, exactly what happened to this person, happened to every person that watched it and cared about the character.
Right. Washes death and serenity. I'll pick. I haven't picked it up, I'll go cry.
Well, really, I was like, I honestly, I thought about this one, and I was like, no, Paul is definitely going to be washed. I love Alan Tugic as well. He's like, for me, the king of the nerds, man. He's amazing.
And he can turn his hands to anything. But this was way before I knew that he was a voice actor, character actor, you know, he was washed to everybody. And that great big bloody telephone pole or whatever the shit it was that come flying through the window and stabbed him, they didn't even give him a parting goodbye. You know, it was literally just, and he was gone.
It's so sad. Yeah. He was, that's what got me massively with this one as well, because if you watched the Firefly, not just surrounded like the final of with every single member of that, but I'm not going to call the mega crew, I mean, they're a family type thing. That's the best way you can describe it.
And then when we got somebody to finally tell the story, we thought we were going to get, I thought they were going to get more. I thought, great, this is not going to be the end of the story type thing. I thought this is going to show Fox were wrong because it makes the right to massively well and the better than they expected the box office and specially on the DVDs as well. But when I watched it, I was shocked at this one as well, because it comes out of absolutely fucking nowhere.
It was like, I think for me, I disliked the film massively because it was like they went over so much old territory from the series, but then they just did that ending and then we were expected to be at peace with the fact that the curse of the weddings had stripped again and we were left with it. I was like, even at the end, I was still like, there's no answers. Who's the blue hand people? That's what I wanted to know.
It was just, it got worse than what more it went on. Now, I still like the film because it's part of, I don't know if you call it the Canon or part of the thing, but it's just went with the shit out of me. They came out of wash. Wash.
What's wrong? They could have killed off his misses. No, they could have killed off so many other car wrecks, but no, no. Would everybody's favourite?
I wouldn't have been started with Simon Wentz. I'm not going to be, but I know that would have probably been effect clearly, but yeah. Wash, he had all the best lines in the film as well, especially with the dinosaurs. I was like, oh, I've never put a trail and stuff out there.
I'm a leaf on the wind. I'm not going to put it in the charts, but Jesus Christ, that touched me. So he said, you actually believed it as well. Oh, yeah.
I think if they'd killed off Jane, I don't think I would have been that upset. No. I wouldn't. Was he dead by then?
Has he killed off? Shout out before that. Yeah, because I gave Miley's motivation to walk through fire and Jesse, just have his belief. He didn't care what he believed and just his belief.
And that's how, like, Miley got the job done. That's it. It's been used in the scene of the film. I just recapped on the death to make sure it still had that impact on me.
I still couldn't care less if any of them were Captain Fancy Pants. Fancy Pants are like that. You see, I'm notified of fire. Fire.
Fire. Fire. Fire. Fire.
Fire. Someone got lost to Miley first before I have seen all of them now, but I watched the film first. So I was grateful for everything that they were going back over. I got attached to these people quite quickly, and especially wash because he Bianca was like, fuck, and I obviously selling some fan favorite and then TV shows like.
Oh, my God, that is going to fuckin hit some people, majorly. I think the episode that wash becomes just legendary serious is when Kevin Miles fighting and then the Russian comes back and then and Kate and I have some both and and Mal and washer get tortured, but mild is just basically taking fights or just to keep him alive. And then when Zoe comes in and says it's like you've got a pick and he just just named things she just picks washer and then washer just breaks down and that's when your heart goes out. I like this there because I just said in the movie you don't expect you don't stay coming.
He's just got you through this like busy but you're like sitting around with the ravens and stuff and he's landed the ship that no one else could have landed you think this is just to me and then it's just like boom. And that's what I like about it. It's just like shutting the dark but he deserves better than a person. You as an audience member you've just taken that it's okay we're out of this now and then boom you're here with it again and it's like shit and but I can only sit on the sidelines and wonder how I would like how you feel on you know No, we're going to watch Firefly again now, so thanks, Zach.
Sorry! I think we're going to open a lot of wins tonight, so there'll be a lot of therapy through this podcast. I don't have feelings. We'll try and bring them out.
I'm sorry. I have all of them, so I will be everyone's emotion tonight. I'm one of those people who tends to laugh at the inappropriate things in the cinema, and I get giggles, and I know people are staring at me, but you know what I mean? You know what I mean?
That's ridiculous. Oh my God, that's so disgusting. I'm sitting up. That's the good.
Because you know how the sausages mean, though, that's the thing. That's why it doesn't make it seem interesting. I'm sucking love that thing. You know how the sausages mean?
Dad, we need to get your attention with that one. I don't know where it goes. I know you will. That's an idea.
So yeah, so... So take away your saumée. Oh, okay. I'm going to go with probably the most obvious when it comes to me, if you know me, because this was mentioned on the first episode we ever did.
That was a long time ago. It was from one of my favourite films that I used to hate admitting that I love this film. Now I don't give a shit. I'm older.
It's 1989, Steel Magnolias, and it'd be like the challenge. Oh my God, I haven't heard that from any years. I went through a phase of wanting to be called Shelby because I hated my name. I was like, why can I be called Shelby?
I know, I didn't want her life in the slightest, but I love turning in. But yeah, I used to unachuse me. I used to have a free period where I could go home because I lived two minutes away from my college. So I used to go home and say movies would have this on fucking repeat every Tuesday.
So I would just sit and watch it all the time. But I used to hate admitting it was one of my favourite films. I was like, just no, of course this is man, I'm not fucking cool. I fucking love the exorcist, but no, I'm a damn.
Look, this death got me. Got me good. It gets me good every time. And it's not so much the death itself because to be honest, she's a very poo-leady.
She has diabetes and she does things that she was told not to do. She was told she couldn't get pregnant because she wouldn't be able to carry. She did it. And she brought this lovely little volume to the world and then not a year or so later, she ends up dying.
But what gets me is Sally Fields grief. It always gets me. She is so strong until she's not. And it's like everything's done.
Her daughter is past. Her daughter is buried and she's just standing with her best friends. And they're all like, oh, are you okay? All the service was lovely and she just fucking snaps.
And she says everything that you want to say when you're in mourning. And it's so fucking powerful. And I'll just, I love that scene so much. But I sit there just, ooh, crying, my eyes out at the fact that she lost her daughter and it's when she says I could rent a Texas and back again and my daughter never could.
Yeah. She's not even talking about the fact that she couldn't do it because she's passed away. It's the fact that she couldn't do it while she was alive. And it's a special one for me.
Yeah. But it's a special film. But yeah, I, I grieved hard on that one. I used to watch that with my dad and granddad because my mum worked.
Yeah, well, when I grew up, my mum worked three jobs. And I'm a single parent family child. And so she worked three jobs. And so we used to say with my grandparents.
And we used to have certain videos we'd watch over and over again and still my barriers was in the cupboard. And I remember Sally Field, I remember Julia Roberts for Shelby, wasn't she? Yes. Yeah.
And then I was totally partnering it. Yes, she probably was. I think I remember it's like a limited car customers in it as well. I love seeing her name as well.
It's such a queer name to sign. And then Shirley McLean is in it too. It was fantastic. Absolutely fantastic because that it's just went.
So Sally Field's just done her iconic breakdown scene. And Olivia to Carcus grabs Shirley McLean and just tells Sally Field's character to slap Weezer, to slap her. Everyone's wanted to take a slap at Weezer to draw. You go and do it.
You be that person and she just bursts into fits of laughter because it was, that's what a friend would do. Yeah. It's such a stambona. Keep this together.
It boils down to it. It wasn't family as a blood family. It was family as friends and then women were fucking tight together. And when they needed something, they were there.
That moment where she grabs Weezer and just tells it to slap at his fucking hilarious, but it totally breaks the tension of what you needed in that moment. Yeah. That's the best choice. It's not a film I've seen for a long, long time.
I think I was a kid when I watched it the last time. I know how much it means to you and stuff like that. It's ridiculous how much this film means to us. But I used to be very ashamed to see it.
But I'm not now. I'm just surprised I see the first picture to the two of the two horror hounds is when quite like fluffy so far. So I don't want to be predictable just yet. I've sort of held back a bit.
Yeah. Like I said, there's stuff on here that I think we're going to cross over on. So, but I'm going to go with the one that disturbed me the most to the point where I still have a little fear of certain aspects to this. So I'm going to set the scene for you here.
I want to try to paint a picture. So imagine you just chilling out on the beach, just having a party, having a few drinks for the guys and the girls. And it's beautiful that last over the next day of over here will just give to the eye and things. Oh, I'm going to have some fun here.
Like you said, both had a little bit too much to drink. She made kids the chaser. So you think, I'm going to chase her here and then she strips off and goes in the sea and then basically you're sitting there. This is a fart thing.
I'm going to go in the sea and I'm going to have some fun with this girl and you pass out drunk and it's all what happens. And the girls just like swimming around just being all naked and free in the sea. And this is just perfect surrounding. Then all you hear is.
Then all you see, you don't even see the shark. You see the sound and you see it is flashing around and you see it as a little nibble. It goes, what the fuck's that? And you start getting the feelings and you start getting the fear and the anxiety is building up.
And it's just how she gets thrown about like a fucking rag dog from that point. You don't even need to see the blood or see how graphic that is. Just that one moment put me off going into the sea for about 10 years after watching that as a kid and to the point where I was even scared to go in the bath for a little while. So what was absolutely terrifying but that film, not seen exactly was just absolutely terrifying to the point.
I still think it's one of the best film death scenes or like to scare someone because you don't need jump scares. You don't need these aspect. It's just the build, the tension, the anxiety it builds up. It's never been beaten in my eyes, I think, but I still remember vividly as well how fucking terrifying and just monstrous that bit when she was just getting flung about on top of the sea.
Like that must have been so uncomfortable for her to be filmed as well because it must have kind of rigged golden and I dragged across and I was so violent as well. But, Jesus, like just the picture, you can see it's seen from saying how it happened and what it was. When you mentioned drinking, that's when it came into me head and I followed you through with it in me third eye watching it. And it's when she does the leg movement and I'm like, oh, that's not just a horrific death and a good death.
That is a fucking amazing opener because that really like, there's no whole bars after that. It's still like, it's still like, I just best on the story and just pin the picture through the lens. Yeah, like very minimal dialogue. You know exactly what's happening and you can't stop it from happening.
Yeah, it's all visual and it's all sound as well. So the sound is obviously that the that's building the tension up to the leg man. I can't if the when she moves that leg and she twitches. It's one of my worst videos.
I don't want to do the sea. I'm a swimmer. Always have been. I was very good at it.
Um, some of them seem to be very much. But here's he is. It's a scene afterwards as well when you get into just like the chief audience and stuff and you're going to investigate the remains. And all you see is like hair and fingers and boots as well.
So it's just like the after effects and like Jaws is one of my up there favorite movies of all times. Like I'll argue with anyone who says, oh, it's not it's not horrible. It's one of the fucking scariest movies ever made. It is.
People don't give people don't give Spielberg enough credit for two of the most I don't know, gateway horrors I would call them like Jaws, Jaws and Polgeye's film. They're not necessarily horrors, but they are horrible enough that you have a child that disappears that scares life out the family. Then you have that big white fog thing that anyway, and then with Jaws, it could really happen. So you have that element of, I don't remember a film prior to Jaws that made you sit back and go, oh, that could really happen.
I don't think I want to go in there. And then you realize that everybody's got a sea somewhere. So they're going to go into the sea, you know, or there's possibility of sharp being in the water and you're just like, no, no. I think living next to the, being a seaside city as well, we have a number of beaches as well.
And that's where your parents just take you to and you're trying to break from here and stuff like that. But it didn't help as well. I'm on the ocean. One of the skill trips as well, because we just have like, it's a little bit now, but we used to have like quite a big fishing area and it used to be, and I was still trying to stop us to the docks to see the fish, fishermen and see what it did.
It was a strange school. What school was this? It was called D.M.Dot at the time, but it was in ROGA. It was a primary school.
One of the fishing boats actually had a shark's head on it. It said all caught a shark a few weeks ago. A few weeks ago, and that was just like, say, some mended in my things in shit. It was like a great white or anything.
It must have been just like a basket or something like that. I was like, is it shark in the fucking water? Where are you? My monster's go off.
Not a fucking chance. But when you were talking about like real life, like that is like something that could happen. That's what always scares me about horror. I was scared of kind of a lecture because there were people who do that.
They got it. Not because I'm saying I'm going to come across any fucking catables anytime soon. But they are there. They exist.
And real life horror scares me. I watched Jaws and I was 16. So I had been going Florida for two years before that. And I've been on the Jaws ride.
It didn't, nothing for you. I didn't bother us because it's just a ride in the water. Oh, big shock. It wasn't until I came back.
My mum made me watch it when I was 16 because I had to experience it. And I'm not going to lie. I sat there like kind of. I just moved about a lot.
It was really cool. It was like, I found myself doing that a lot during that. But it was such a fantastic, fantastic movie and something that I have berated my sister for today because she has still not seen it. Not good enough.
No, it's terrible. She's talking about the podcast. She has seen it. Right.
So yes, that's my first pick there. I have to get the shot one of the wits. Such a good, such strong first pick. I like it.
Go on then. Right. This one's heavy. I would give it is a heavy one, right?
Right. Okay. Yeah. That's the ending of the mist.
That's my pick as well. Oh, you've got a giant pickle and guys. Well, I can pick another one if you want. No, it's fine.
Don't worry. No, we just allowed a run. I often think, well, it's common knowledge that Stephen King gets a terrible rap for his endings. Yes.
It is common. I mean, he jokes about it in it. But this ending was by far chef's kiss for Stephen King ending because you didn't have to do it. No.
He didn't have to kill Andrea and Dale. No. Have a little. And then then.
Are you calling them walking dead, Liam? Yes. That's a nice one. He didn't need to kill him.
And like that second when you watch it on his face, when it dawns on him, whether the fog, the misclears, you can see the army coming out on the tanks and the big cars. And you just see Thomas James face just go like from absolute like just grief that he's killed his kid, but then this whole other level of it. All right. Yeah, because he realized if he'd just waited 30 seconds, he would have been, it would have been fine when he had to done it.
So he's got the realization that he's just murdered three people and he's, he didn't need to. That was like one of those things. The first time I sat there and I was just like, yeah, no, because it's one of them things. I think the movie didn't do too well at the cinema, but it did.
It did. It was only like on David A, but it's, I think it's like the sixth sense that I could go to spoil for a lot of people who watched it because everyone wanted to talk about the end and rather than movie. Let's do some Roxy CGI in it. Like when you say the monsters, but the characters in it, like the proper people that you do hear it and stuff like that.
And I think it's just with a being in America, the Bible belt as well. And I just watching from the nine, I'm just, it's got Captain Leven Paul's as a bit of an arse all in as well. Oh my God. The funny thing is I've never actually seen the mist and it's only because if you go on any watch more, you're a list of like, and death is a thing for me.
And I will watch lists of TV, yes, movie deaths, real life deaths. I watch them all. And the mist has come up so many times that I don't need to watch it now because I don't need to, I don't need to be attached to them people that were in that car. I don't need to learn my life.
A lot of it as well though. If you watch the whole film, it's like a lesson in people watching. Yeah, because to some extent you're a bit of a voyager in that film because you're watching the dynamic of what you think, how people would behave versus how they should behave. And I'm not talking in like the walking dead scenario or, you know, these are post-apocalyptic show type things.
This was like the realization that these bunch of people that would be next to each other in the line and would never know each other in a million years, shopping in the same shot time and time again, have these backstories. And my favourite bit to this day is where they love a Karen at that woman. Yes. No, literally there's this one woman who I can't for life remember a name I'm going to call Karen, might think Karen.
Yeah. And she's like a preachy bible. She got a really southern accent. Really southern.
Yeah, she's talking about how this is all the sentence faults and stuff like that. Yeah, I think I know who she is. I have seen clips of them in the store. I think it's the mam from with it.
And she's been in a few SVUs before. She's right. She is just a bit like she starts to try and lead a revolt and get everybody pray in. And then one of them just throws a can of pictures or something ahead.
And I'm like, that would hurt. That would hurt. And then I'm like, fracture your skull. And she sounded like, I think this way I do enjoy it.
Because it's like a people watching or watching human sighting and how you put in an impossible situation what your mental state would be and how you would turn and you fell off like your neighbours and stuff like that. But the end of it is truly one. And we do get a lot of shit because he hasn't a lot of shit from us. We've done a lot of good things.
Thomas GMA in that film, his performance, his realisation of what he's just done. That's really neat. Every fibre of your heart as well. That was why it was on mine just because when you think about it, if you put yourself in his position, like how it's unfavourable.
I don't want to. I don't want to. That's the thing I don't want to. And that's why I don't want to watch it for because I don't want to be attached to them.
People who are in their car. I don't want to know them. I know what he's done. I don't know what happens next.
I think it's like the sun because he spends all the film trying to protect you soon from everything that's going on. And then he sacrifices the sun because he doesn't want to be eaten, which is understandable. But that's like, I think it just resonates so much. It's basically like a normal guy trying to do the right thing.
I'm just fucking up so badly. And it's just heartbreaking in every single aspect. And that's why Alexei always don't think about it as well. Just because I'll, if you tear that in the note, it's a good movie.
What you put the end in, it's a brilliant movie. Yeah. Great. That's a good move to scribe, Nick.
That actually might make us one go and watch it if he's putting it in that aspect. But I've seen it so many times that anybody gets out the car. It's horrible. It's horrible.
It's yeah. Yeah, it's something. This is like the first time we've all been kind of lost for words when it's like, yeah, that's because you can never explain or express because to put yourself in that position, you would probably shoot yourself if you'd like, if you thought, try to think too. Honestly, the way that I'm thinking right now, if that was me and I've just carried out what he's done, I get out the car, I've seen it this hell of on its way, the army showed up.
That's it. I'm out. It's all back game over. I'm not getting over this.
Like there's not enough therapy in the world that can get me over what is just taking place at the time of one of the tanks or something. Just get that done. I'm done. Yeah, I'm done.
When if they make a sequel to this, like to see like what happened afterwards or to give you an act like what happened to his life afterwards? It would be really, really fucking awful. Like said, a drug addict just him looking at ways of trying to figure out why it's something because it's always never explained why these monsters only just appeared as well. That's one of the things I did like about it, about the next.
Because sometimes like say, if movies like that, they'll try next to be in a way of like the the most irrational or stupid thing. this mr turned up monsters are here we don't know what the fox happened i think i think in the short story they they explained it as um like a dimensional rift or something it was something along the lines of that but they didn't like you say they didn't go into detail it was just like this happened deal with it and that is that i'm so rare for king because he could over describe the fucking shit out of everything so that is quite refreshing that it's not and it's this like we don't have that we don't have to have an explanation just fucking there deal with it that's right so that's mine and had done second pick all in one there okay okay so yes i have a feeling that people might have known this one's going to be on my list and this is one of this is one of the marshmallow one no this is from the other film um this this is not just a death this is a fucking badass death by a badass actor who has been killed so many fucking times on screen we're starting to wonder do the studios just want to kill them off is that what they're looking for but it is um it's borrowing his death in lot of the rings right sure i got shawn bean as my honorary mention on here i saw a thing when i was doing a bit homework and it said that he has been killed on screen 25 times but he is not the most on-set or the active of the most on-screen death that honor goes to christophilly 70 on-screen deaths and my mum just turned when i told me mum that she went well yeah you got stabbed a lot he was drafted there okay but borrowing is it's just the coolest fucking death like because he has these big weak moments of i want the ring but i don't want the ring oh i'm going to take the ring oh no bro i'm really very sorry boom arrow yeah another one another one fuck it takes down it's three arrows in the chest and he's still fighting see it's a film that goes on too long and it's an awful long death so it's perfect then there's a fighting word they are geez we've had we've had many words but it comes a lot of the rings i am not a fan of the warring shall we say he is not a fan of the rings um but i very much am and this was when i was thinking of death like borrowing it just came to like fall front of me mind i was like because i just remember washing it going fuck me you are the coolest you really are shawn bean the coolest person in the world right now because that death was amazing the fact that he got to he got he got to have his closure with um oh my god his name is complete no one of her oh no he didn't get that with her name oh no he didn't get that with her name but yeah he got to have his his bit with aragon because he said you know the hook on door and all this shit and they got that closure but i just think it's such a bad last death three arrows man three arrows and i think i think the one just normal arrows always well they're like fucking monster sized arrows as well they're like the biggest black arrows you could have a harv as well yeah they're made by orcs and i don't think they understand size but what also the one the orcs they were really high i apologize i apologize you know terminology right for the lord the ring nerds out there are for us healthy advantage don't let them come for us so most of the harvards anyway they can't even get past your names so don't get about me like that um but he's is is that's just fantastic there's nothing like there's nothing like i'm not sad about it like it's more satisfying than anything else but i really love that takedown the fighting that i think he got to have his bit farewell and for our forgotten door with aragon and it's just fantastic the only thing again i think as you said it is a great saying and like i know i'm sitting on the other rings i'm only joking but like visually it's great only thing i did put is often i want to say this thing but i got really bad travel motion sickness during this thing because i did the overhand camera like seeing when they're like all the orcs and the other guys fighting and coming down and it was just like i did actually feel a bit blur at the time because it was just like like almost like um same private ryaner at the other time like where all the motion sickness and everything was kicking off into stuff like that yeah that opening scene was saving private ryaner's the reason i can't watch that film again i can't sit and go through that because i move with them and you move with the camera and i totally get what you mean by that um i just love it so much i just had to mention it on this list because it's i just remember i saw it in the pictures and i saw you fucking you go shon you go shon bane but this was at a time when i don't even think i realized like on you the whole you know shon bane always gets killed it wasn't until around about game at the run time i was like oh shon b oh my god spoilers by the way i think i remember saying i don't know if it didn't die was it when sat there comes any bit of football i know which one you mean um but there was a tv series we watched about n cars and raisin and such it was on it was like a sky program and we're watching it with him in and i'm like we got to the end like the last episode he was still alive i mean the guy in sharp did he as well he survived in sharp i think bastard bastard bastard i've watched that video so many times of the compilation of him going yeah that's it still in free york yeah but no one that series we got the last episode and shon bane is still alive and me and him like what's going on? are we gonna do it? file scene killed it's yeah my number two pick is gloromea so oh well we've got a lot of rings one in there somehow it's a shame i can't get a goonies referencing because no one died in the goonies he was dead beforehand he didn't say that he's a copper pot he's scared he didn't say the death so to do a prequel and do chest of copper parts like pre life unless the original goony chest of copper pot um they have they have dense watching that's a movie we can mix uh we can do this i can't even bowl jolly sis jeez so yeah so we're back to darlin elle for a third pick they're big right um right okay uh i'm gonna go because i put earthing out on my page early today to say what what yours and someone came up with one that hadn't even thought of in a million years and i went back and i watched the click of the death on youtube and holy sh!t that's messed up it's in meals death in robo cot so oh yes so a meal anybody that hasn't seen it a meal is a bad guy he's one of the henchmen to the big bad or yep and he's just a hockey shit all the way through it and the culmination of his death is i think it's toxic waste or acid or something he crushes into yeah it was toxic waste toxic we call it a toxic adventure death yeah so this day that special effects makeup i did on him was like unlike anything i've ever seen like the melting skin the boils pop in that i i everything and then when he runs out to his mate and he goes help me and he goes ew get away from me it's just like he was melting even more and then he sort of limps out and he's all like ehhh and then he gets hit by a car and he just explodes after that doesn't he yeah because he has dynamite inside in here because of the whole thing apparently well it was a whole thing in here so of course it was going to be exploding so yeah um that was what was that explosions that one was thanks to people perhaps if i remember his name right then so i just want to say thanks to paul for that one because holy sh!t yes that was disgusting and still it had that gross factor that like you say nothing has to make you feel anything something can just make you laugh but yeah this one was just like the whole way through your game how the hell did they do that with the special effects how did they make him look so they get it i think it was pauled liquid latex on time and it was like driven down and i think that was banned on tv for a while that's a ravine you could see it on it was it was cut out the tv version but it was actually in the video version because i think robocop one was in 18 robocop two was a 15 i believe um but um like i said um because i know that did the movies that made me made us um under the robocop version and watching the behind the scenes from robocop barking hell they were just chaos i don't know how that film got made but yeah i didn't even think about that one that one's just blowing me mind because yeah it's horrific that has been on the radar day when i've been out with um my family for a dinner day to finish up the celebrations of me sisters wedding and i brought it up in conversation and my brother-in-law mentioned it and then my husband mentioned it and then we just got on a full conversation about this scene and my mom was like not into it at all i buy that for a dollar and do you know what i absolutely adore the first one but i've never seen the second one i've never seen the second one but i'm so i'm so i'm so excited all he really enjoyed it but the third one was shit but i don't think that's the pete weller paul weller and then i come and remember his name pete weller pete weller that's it and i think it's got him in it but that scene is that scene is like for me i want to know how it's done yeah i'm not bothered that it's happening i'm like how do they do that so yeah i mean the guy doesn't get enough rep for for the acting on that as well though because it's like you've just been thrown into toxic waste you're burning from the outside in you're trying to walk washed off skin is literally falling off your body you're asking for help and they're like ehhh yeah like that's not the reaction you're expecting from you at your hench crew is it like ewwww i think the kind of player that he was like an notorious like a bad guy you know a lot of 80 films and stuff like that he's like being through he's one of those actors like you've always seen him in a movie but you don't actually know his name so is that your third pick or is that the one that you're picking from the page there that was i'm i'll call him a third pick and i'll say it's a page pick oh that's fine i didn't i didn't want you lose that will pick there so i have i've got another page pick that someone said so i'll say that later just in case sweetly crash but that's an amazing pick i forgot all about it but there's so many interesting deaths in robocop like the actual death of mr for himself like when they're blowing them apart like literally taking them apart by piece by piece that's like unbelievable and then there's like the whole kind of fly by the and get in front of the back the car and stuff like that it's just like absolutely lunacy like the violence in this movie and i would have got away with it a lot but yeah that proxy wasting is just one of the most horrific scenes of things but i think yeah when you said how they did it's i think when i watched the back the livery just poured liquid latex on him and seen how it flowed on him and stuff like that and then let's record this now get it now because he's actually falling off yeah i'm not to watch robocop i'm gonna watch so many films after tonight now i get every time every time we do something i'm like that's what i'm gonna watch when i come up here i've not watched it ever over common years after the during the remake that kind of goes off a little bit but yeah anyway sorry um so sammy's third pick there right my third one is probably the most iconic death scenes in cinema history it is um book fantastic and it made me scared of showers for a really long book in time it's janet lee and sego i nearly had this one i nearly had this one back to go i have the lovely mrs lee staring at me on the wall in absolute horror and i didn't even think about until the last minute didn't even think until the last minute and then i was like holy shit fucking psycho so it goes i am a huge hitchcock fan and it all starts from my love of psycho and it was when i went to the universal studios they had like a backlog thing yeah and it was a hitchcock experience and it was dated it was all you could tell it was on the way out but i lived for that experience and i'm just heartbroken then i never bought that i didn't have the foresight to think this merchandise is going to be worth a lot of fucking money because it's going to be so fucking rare because i had beta motel towels orbs slippers soups toothbrush you know what i mean like these things that would become really rare but psycho is oh it's such a film and to it's the i mean it has a lot of resemblance to serene i know it's with the screen took the influence from psycho type thing the one switching bait to get the big actor in thinks it's going to be the star and then just no she's not she's not she's gone but marion isn't do you know what the foresight is seen like it's horrific marion is not a nice person no she's shit back she's an absolute shit back she really is i'm not saying she deserved to die in a shower but she's not a great she's only there because she stole a shitload of money from her boss so she could run off with her lover who was married yeah like she is not the greatest person but she does end up in the moor she does end up dying in the most horrific manner and also dumped into a swamp so i do think again like similar to that like my first thing the music elements play as a big part in this as well and like say the fact that this was shot in black and white had more than impact in a way because people say oh like you see blood and guts and like can mess you up but no this was more scary because of the sultlissen as well yeah you just all you saw stroke down you've got to remember at the time this was the 60s 60s 50s yeah 60s 60 I think i was 60 and this you know that the studio had a poll on everything and they would rip everything the pieces you couldn't like they couldn't even show the toilet there was certain things in the toilet that couldn't show like that's how Hitchcock could not give a shit i used to have a book on the making of of of his movies and the the cycle the scene that shower scene and cycle was so interesting to us because of how he could it how many shots he did how many times that woman had to scream like and she has one of the most iconic streams that at the end when is a v-ra i can't remember me v-ra miller v-ra miller or something like that she when she pulls mrs beets around and she pulled herself back in streams that's gently that's not her scream because that's how iconic it was but the the shower scene itself is terrifying the fact that you've got forget forget the screeching sound when the knife comes in all you've got is a woman taking a shower you get you get like a angle around that where it stops and you see that shadow come here further and getting closer and closer and closer to rips oh my god it is terrifying but yeah marrying wasn't the greatest so in just asking you know the show is in the what did they use for the blood was it because someone said it was uh so i thought it was ketchup not the chocolate sauce it was chocolate sauce brown showed up the brown showed up more like dark blood than ketchup because the ketchup just watered down so when it hits the water it just goes into the consistency of it's causing nothing whereas chocolate sauce has a thicker consistency so when the water hits it it's not just disintegrating straight away and the color of it as well but yeah it was chocolate sauce no i was catching up that's why i was i knew you would have probably known more than me but yeah so on and everyone's just getting to see my legs i do apologize right no one could see it as well i've cut up it out it's fine oh that's alright it's not my legs yes sounds got me pants on again guys i'm just glad you didn't go on about the vince fawn mate remake yeah did the shot the shot for shot nonsense that was the vince fawn was it an hedge yeah it was an hedge it was oh god who direct it was absolutely shocking it never happened yeah it didn't happen doesn't exist that's quite happy yeah i'm expected not to acknowledge but that must have been a weird decision i can understand reading cycle doing your own science almost like i said the base motel tv show that we got but doing it word for word shot for a shot exactly the same lazy and yeah that's probably the word i would use lazy lazy it just doesn't seem to be um your groundwork is already laid out for you by a master of cinema and you're just going to go in there and do exactly what you did you're not even going to put your own spin on it and just make it your own put your signature in there it's lazy i was so fucked off it wasn't bothered and he was actually playing um playing american cream because the look it wasn't too far it wasn't that bad i don't know i don't actually have an opinion on his vince fawn it's not my best what's the actual book the thing that gets me with the vince fawn choice was at the time i think he was mainly company cast at that point and this was the first role i'd seen him where he was substance yeah and um it just didn't work it did not work but then you see him now in some of the stuff he does uh one of them was i can't remember the name of the film but he was a prisoner um and he has shaped head and he's done something and he actually does serious so well now but that's come with experience i don't i think the whole uh Anthony well the norman beards character is possibly make mild managed like yes like you wouldn't you wouldn't notice him if you walked out the street well vince fawns are six foot seven giant sort of man that would terrify you that was the point i was going to get into next it was the cast in of it like Anthony Perkins is perfect because he's got a kind nature a kind face and uh like a very small build and that was what was more terrifying about norman beards was that all these all these attributes led into who he was and or what what he created and he's on head vince born is a fucking giant he is a monster of a man i i'm gonna believe that he can fucking murder somebody i'm gonna believe that he can carry them off and dump them in a swamp i don't believe that Anthony Perkins would have done that until the reveal at the end which still scares the shit out my sister i generally scares the shit out of her whether reveal happens in the prison and you see the mother space going over here fucking hears it i'm not talking about the numerous sequels i've just made no sense as well oh no i'm sorry i will defend um segore four is probably one of the best cycles equals going it's i think it's fucking fantastic where he's he's on the radio station and he's talking he's talking everything through i think it's such a great psychology lesson when it comes to that comes to him i fucking i will defend that film i love it after the vince was fantastic the radio um presenter who is she's one of those actresses who is in a lot of stuff but i couldn't tell you who she is i think she's an episode of supernatural as well i think but yes she's been in so much but yeah cycle four is great but marion korean's death was even better go i thought cycle might be on your pick so you've you've set the bar you said that's the most iconic cinema death in history is that what you're seeing?
yeah i'm gonna stand by that i'm not gonna stand by that i'm gonna do a little speech here then so see i'm gonna do it justice because to me might not be the greatest death scene in cinema it's certainly the greatest death in sci-fi i've seen things you people wouldn't believe attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion i've watched sea beams glitter in the dark near the tana hasa gate all those moments will be lost in time like tears in the rain time to die right buddies there is i will give you that that court is an iconic death court that was an iconic death scene but i love this thing i love that line more not just because of the line just the whole build up to this yeah wait i'm sorry i'm not no i was just gonna say it's like he spends the entire film hammer and tongue that's his one purpose he's got to do this he's got to get to to harry's and for what he's got to do this thing and then he just goes yeah and then the dove fly is away yes i get it and it was it was a beautiful speech and that film will forever not be beaten for the opening shots the the replicants the whole idea of i i think that film has been copied so many times without even knowing it's been copied yes through the ideas you know like the replicants like everything that you know the shot for shot the just the ideas of things well to be found the Batman film that we got was pretty much like a Batman version of blivina in a way of like the shots and visuals and like the film no i aspect um it still has like i said impacts and resonates with so many different sci-fi out there but i just like i love i just said i love that aspect to it where it's like Roy's a machine that's just got destruction and he's got one purpose and he's one at the end he's one because Harrison Ford is dead Harrison Ford can't beat Roy. Oh can spoilers man i'm not seen it. And uh like see a decker is is on the edge of the building he's about to fall and Roy grabs him pulls him up gives him that speech and then he knows it's his time like to go and it's just i think poetically and visually it's just like it hits us hard and when i watch the first time i was mesmerized by it and mesmerized by the movie like even like the regular the sequel because the sequel gets a lot of people confused and stuff like it's not on par with Blade when i like see this was ahead of its time so much i think this came out in 1982 the year i was born so um i see that i will have i think about was it six or seven different directors cuts as well um i remember you're telling us about that um were you talking about this the other night is the film i mean Michaela i'm having a very in-depth conversation about Blade Runner and Michaela always and i think i get what she means people love this movie for the aesthetic it's not the story it's not the characters it's the actual aesthetic and the way that and then like then they live in life like how do i know how his heart is falling in this film i'm sorry no she really is i've seen pictures of that for all of us do you know what's one of me mum's favourite she fucking loves Blade Runner that's why that's my medium i made a meet-up in avatar because that's fine Daryl Hannah actually broke her elbow in that scene you know the scene where she goes flying into the i want to say broken down one of them yeah like one of the shits cars whatever you want to call them she goes she did she comes thundering down smashes her elbow and she shatters it in three places in real life and then she still manages to finish the scene and then she goes to hospital but she's so hard as fuck all down here it's messed up yeah this was probably the one that was me first pick and i thought about famous deaths i thought death scenes and i was like this one i remember being as a kid and i remember watching it like say watching back because i've done some of some of the doubt what Dan's done i've went back and watched a few of the deaths and laughed a bit and well this one kind of because if you watch the full scene play out it's not just a speech like it's a whole interaction with him and like Deger and as he said Deger is just a broken man at this point is because i know the whole like is he or isn't the irreopent as well there's that argument will play out as to the end of time but i just think it's a sick of beautifully seen with them to Ruga Howard and Harrison Ford who i don't think two other actors can do it as well as they do it is i'll give it if i can't see it it's because it is one pair of the dead that gets celebrated every year every year in the day of his death i see shit loads of post of tears in the rain yeah because apparently the date is on there so you know what it is i don't know why you're given i just think loads of posts on his death date so i'll give that iconic status yes as cool back cool so Dan are we going to the gory side now all yet yes this one's another page pitch so i'm going to butcher it now because Martin is Swedish and Martin i'm not going i'm gonna get this completely wrong so i apologize um it is the scene in mid-summer called the attishuba oh yes yes and now i didn't enjoy the film as a whole i enjoyed it parts yes i don't think it meant enjoy the film i mean like i always find Arias this films to be very intelligent and very intense and very intense i cannot hold an hour and a half of being like i can't do it i need to have the flows but mid-summer i felt so sorry for um oh god i'm blank on a name florence pew florence i was gonna call that flow and then i thought no is that right yeah florence always gets floor to be honest because she's a lot of crying she had to do but that's not the point is the death and the death of the way that the pagans i presumed it's like the pagan lifestyle yeah the old couple can no longer contribute to the um the family the um the village because they're too old so if they're just eating the food that they make in and they have him so they cannot give anything back so it comes to a point in their their life where they go right okay i can't help no longer i'm just draining what other people need so i will now go and take my life and uh they get treated like royalty they have a final meal with a family they get carried up amounting um then they have to pay their respects to whatever the god is that they worship or whatever it is that they worship and then they eat themselves off a cliff now the first i will say out of the two the woman in the man when the woman's got me worse than the man's because you saw her face come off peel back and there was nothing blood and then you see about the five second clip of her laying there i always see it's just a bottom jaw there is nothing left just a bottom jaw i have gone incredibly funny but then when he does it he doesn't he doesn't she jumps like that basically he jumps like this so when he hits the floor he breaks his leg but he's still alive so his family then have to come over with a mallet you have a feeling because he feels alive now none of those people queuing up to bash him on the knob you're on on the head had any idea you know they have no emotion about the thing because it was simply that this had to be done and this is the way to point the manalorian but and and there was something so unsettling but yet perfectly it made perfect sense that they could no longer contribute then and they were being a drain then what was their purpose of being there if they couldn't for each for themselves if they can't cook for themselves if they can't do anything like that um it makes practical sense in the in the in the sense of the environment but the bigger picture they were they needed to go yeah but then when you saw it and you saw how savage it was it was just like couldn't you give them a gun i mean jumping off a cliff seems quite they were so peaceful came to me for something that was a little bit yeah just something to numb it a bit that movie is probably one of a couple that has made me feel so uncomfortable and Arias is incredible at making you feel uncomfortable uneasy like you can't you're not allowed to sit still in one of his movies you i made the mistake when because i didn't say this in my download on uh streaming so elay really watched it um i didn't realize there was a director's cut and it's a longer version so we downloaded like i think one we watched was over two and a half hours so we were like um as Dan said it was going this is intense intense intense intense we're going to go to end please be this fucking end it's not until the very last scene when she cracks that smile that is the only time you get to go are you fucking kidding me and there is so many there is so many deaths in this that you could pick but that is probably the brutalist yeah i think it was just the sheer peacefulness about the fact that they were about to kill themselves with no pain relief no prior bonk on the nonce no nothing like that they were just literally gonna go please when he throws themselves off and we get to see the horrific aftermath it was the fact that i didn't think they'd show them hit the floor yeah um because you know i didn't think it was gonna be a horror i thought it would be a psychological mindfuck fucking oh arreaster you know like he tends to have that like a day that's sort of intelligent plays with the head of it type yeah how does he um he's fucking brilliant at it i think there was a colour that we used that's that brought me as well because like the very like when white peel and like the clips that were jumping off were very like sandy colours and like very thin peel but as soon as they hit the the red like the sheer redness that like the explosions of like were came out of the bloodspatters was just mesmerizing you could make it was one thing to take a car actually don't look at it so you can't look away at that same time the the for a movie that is sort of dark as it is and a subject matter that as dark as it is the cinematography is incredibly bright and there's not a lot of darkness in this movie it's everything's kind of a lot of daylight and which is quite even more unsettling yeah when because but no because of you when you think of things that are going to go wrong you assume they're gonna happen at night ships happen during the fucking day that doesn't happen in horror and that's that's why i think arreaster's films are intelligent because he takes the opposite if he knows he's gonna make a film that's about a girl whose sister died took her own life and and she i think i'm um did i'm a dad die as well in that yeah literally nobody yeah she was definitely a candidate and so she had him and he was a piece of shit as well and you were on that sort of plane with her from the beginning and you were all she did was cry for the first half hour so you were like emotionally exhausted from going through that with her for the whole half an hour and then you see all the flowers and the white and the green and you think oh this is nice but then you knew no this isn't nice this doesn't feel nice it feels they all were very blank they were all very what's so welcoming to a degree they just didn't have that genuine emotion it was there's a lot of thickness taken towards it yes like a facade if that's what i was trying to see it yeah and he was so clever with that because when you go into a film you want to empathize with the character you want to like the character but by the end she was you did like her but you were like okay so you just i'm gonna spoil that you just set your boyfriend on fire or you were part party too set your boyfriend dressed as a bear on in fire in a triangle shaped house fuck yeah and yeah because he deserved it to be fair well he was a ship i mean he deserves to be set in fire but well no saying Sam's venture cycle i'm no one pissing someone i think if anyone tuned into the patreon episode where we talked about um satisfying deaths you will see the more sadistic side of me and it really does come out a lot when we talk about it's like death really um i i went into this movie thinking it was gonna be like a wicker man yeah like the like the like the mean character was gonna be like put into this like cold situation it's pagan cold situation and she's gonna get fucked up at the end to her to fucking turn and it's almost like it did i was i was born away i absolutely loved this movie i love a lot of Ariasas movies and it kind of leaves me lovely into my next one if we talk mine because my next movie is an Arias to one i know where you know where i'm going because it's one of the most talking brutal it's a brutal death it's a fucking fantastic film it is hereditary and it is the death of i can't remember the door is there oh my god i'm so sorry and Charlie Charlie range how's how's her head how's her head she i don't know come back and yeah Charlie's Charlie's death in hereditary is oh that just no that that shouldn't happen um it's it's going to end up ideal she's a person who i'm just building up to get to it and so so the character is already going through something to start with she's having an allergic reaction because she's eaten something that she shouldn't i can't remember what it was she was allergic to but she's been doing that she's been doing a part of your brother her brother had the patience of the scenes with her because she was fucking annoying and he had to take these little sister with her house party for god's sake but she ends up getting an allergic reaction he takes her he's taking her to go and get aid and she's she's struggling to breathe so she's already gone through that we're going through that with her to when she sticks her head out of the window to breathe properly and it's gone and her head is taking clean off her shoulders the worst one after that is the is the brother's reaction because that is exactly i generally believe that is how i'd react i don't want to look at it i don't want to like he literally stops the car and just will not turn around he knows what's happened but he doesn't want that realization of what's happened that day that got me that caught me to i had to pause it for a bit and say was it like got you like is inside or laugh because i was when i went to the last i did what i saw it i actually i actually let out a yell like oh you gotta be fucking kidding us and i had to take a moment to like gather we go like come on you're gonna have to how the fuck you're gonna explain this to 20 klax how the fuck do you explain like i'm putting it in my head how do i go and explain to my mother my sisters just lost her head do what he does and don't just go to bed just just go to bed again it's interesting just completely ignores it just go to bed and leave her decapitated body in the back seat of the car for the month of mind in the morning and then when they go back and get the head what do you see the head is bested it is absolutely swarmed with ants and bugs and and it's only been more a day not even at that point but the flesh is flesh is like commodity in the Antwell that is how come out of it they go and get the people are definitely gonna get that it is horrific and the movie itself is absolutely adored it i watched hereditary and get out on the same night and i had such a good movie night they are absolutely you make no that nice dreams aren't they? i think horrible i think horrible i thought was it was fantastic it was refreshing and Charlie's clicking going fucking off and getting the bin i don't ever want to hear again no i thought the ending of that movie was absolutely spectacular watching tawny kalette in the corner of a room sawing her own head off was horrific i'm not awful mereal i love it i love the fact that you got a mereal's wedding joke in there yeah that's one of my yc of it's new year's wedding to watch it all the time but Charlie's death really really strapping over this kid losing the head in the car good pick um i'm not like in the mood a little bit but the one i was um when i watched it and i hit on them things where it's so comical and like out there that i was one of them once when i was at the pictures this movie is horrific it is one of the most like i love the movie i know we've had discussions about the movie in the past but this death um it's so out there and grateful at the same time um it's kind of a little bit of a giveaway except um he would always have to be a swear before we went live that was lame oh so um the parrot bevin and paul allen death in american cycle where he's telling both he's got paul allen in his room and he's telling them all about like how emirs and he lives and knows why he's basically doing up and i go like he sees jagged on and paul allen's just like sitting there just wondering what's going on to the point where i actually have parrot bevin just goes hey paul fuck he was doing it that's absentum to death and it's one of the most brutal like weirs i've seen them but just the whole scene and leaning up to it and how like say it's just so i would say it is you're you're being an ism and just absolutely bellender this the more like these two arseholes being the height of the biggest bell end you'll ever meet but just how many bellends can you fit in it with sentence just just the fact that like see it uh christian bale being about this world to be fair um um just how much joy is in his face as well yeah that's and i i it's one that i've done said it like i was in the center of i was like should i be laughing at this it's absolutely fine that hilarious at the same time but just the noises and the sounds that that that be makes and you see the blood spanner and and you see them like get that rage out as well like that pinned up race that he's had towards ball all and all we're through the movie so far and just the front of that that release out was just like it's just mesmerizing to watch and um with the backdrop of like say one of me favorite bands like doing back to the future to hey it's hip to be is but isn't that just fucking fantastic that they didn't change the music no do you know how in sometimes horrible where you've got music playing on and they'll change it to the actual score music but they keep the huv Lewis music on while he is bashing the shit out of him i have seen american cycle in chunks i have not seen it all the way through and this scene is it's it's iconic when it comes to cinema and one of my favorite bands um uses it in one of their stage performances in their music video it's the i actually does the whole scene like hey paul do you like huv's in the music but it's just like what he's walking behind him as one is doing his little shuffle it's like he's like he knows what he's doing he's really enjoying the moment he's like taking in the moment and like he doesn't let anything like kind of spoiler from as well and it's like such a bizarre scene to watch because you kind of enjoy it at the same time you like think yes he's getting like he's just his earts but you're watching a fucking cyborg or fucking uh to town with with an axe or someone's face let's face it we've all wanted to do it to Jared let's out at some point now probably yes probably more now than back then yes yeah i agree i'll hear him sing live for the first time is that i suddenly understood Patrick Bateman when he was doing a 30 seconds from miles live youtube stream and he was singing one of the songs and it was god awful you know that whole was it puddle the mud that recently did it or one of those songs and it was the most disgusting awful vocals you've ever heard and they had to come out and apologize for it it was that bad this was that it Jared leto cannot sing live he cannot hold the the melodies and he cannot do the falsettoes and he can't do the harmonies by himself live at all and after i heard that i was like yep i completely understand patrick bateman beat it in step for the next with him it makes a lot of sense doesn't he have a cult like a man he has a man cult there's an island that they bought or they rented to do like some sort of festival um and he they all came and he dressed in white and he had his hair straightened and had his beard and it was more like a as a buck and bream it was like a retreat you know like a weird uh honestly god that's the thing get in the bin actually get in the bin get in the ocean oh i loved i loved him up into a point and i think he's one of the most pretentious people on this planet but yes but good on you but on you Patrick Bivin yes yeah given him the biggest axe wind as well oh oh line of the night it's line of the night they're going to fall cool so i know our last takes now so that takes away right i've got two now one of these i'm just trying to work out which one but one of these i've got a feeling one of you two is going to choose so i'm like do i hold off on that and then miss the opportunity on saying it um well why don't you go with the one that doesn't and if it's not you can you can circle back around and you can mention it okay all right now this is like a non-horror one it's a marvel one for me right which is it's yondu's funeral not yondu's death yeah it was a bit where they he was laying there and they were putting all his trinkets and his trolls on him and they put the band across his eyes and they shut him out and it was where they all gave him the colors all the ravages appeared and and they were playing it to cat stevons fun as an i don't cry my teadox don't work but that whoa i was just like i don't know why i find this so sad i don't know why but it was like rocker like i don't know why that gave me the feels i don't get the feels but that really did something and it was just like i think for me it was james gotten's brother that's in it shawn gone because he gets he's getting all upset then he sees them and he goes the all key him and he's like yeah and he's like you see that like that he's so happy that's what kind of chokes me up as well and i lose and yonder actually hit harder than like say certain marvel characters shall we say yeah yeah yeah the certain ones i didn't cross my radar that one dude but seeing that like seeing stuff that's just a long turn up and i got it's an all that but yeah i didn't even think about it that's an amusement pixel yeah yeah i think a lot of it for me is my mum used to be a DJ when i was very young not a radio DJ but like a she used to do nightclubs and pubs and things so i was always brought up with music music was something that was constantly in my life and she used to play cat stevons t for the till the mount over and over again so i know a lot of his sons anyway but that song there was just something about the fact that obviously he's the speech he gives um just before when he's saying when he's saying to peter i might not be your real daddy you know um and then they choose that song of all songs and it's like you couldn't have picked a more perfect song and i'm glad i have to say thank you dame thamp for not choosing the boy's own version because yes thank you that would be a good thing yeah no but there was something about the use of that song and the fact that no matter what he still was one of them despite him thinking he wasn't because of the choices he made and that one choice was all to do with peter because we find out later don't we that or no it is during that one at the first at the end of the first one there's that hint or the elude to isn't there that perc Russell's character ego and employed him to go find peter in the first place and they were all pissed off of the undo because he shouldn't have gone for a kid yeah and that's going well happy for him to go over a kid he just never handed him over that he didn't he didn't he didn't he didn't upload the pia check and yandu kept him safe and that's not the ravager chord you are meant to you get the job you do it and he knew what and yandu knew what he was up to and that's why he kept him safe and that's what really pissed the ravages off I think there's a comic of the film as well where the shorts like the reason why yandu kept him I think there was a comic released it probably was and there was loads that I don't know if they still do them now but they used to do a lot of um lead-up comics or after comics to like kind of fill in some prelude type thing yeah prelude yeah it's like prelude and I don't know if they do them anymore they used to do them for like eight of the shield and that just to fill some fucking gaps because that was really complicated to follow but that is such a good one it is one that kind of crossed me and don't get yourself upset when they're doing the whole speech he may not he may not have been your father I mean I'd be your father but he was obviously daddy kind of speech and oh and it is a funeral they all turned up for him when he thought that he had no one word and I think like I said the speech didn't look and the death didn't really like hit so much it was the fact that in death he thought he would be alone but he was not you know he was loved and he was he had loved it and I think it's one of those things which does a weird circle for Marvel because you don't tend to touch on real-life stuff with Marvel because it's so fantastical but it made you feel I think for me personally it was a bit of one of those things about your own mortality you were like yeah is anyone remember me taking his boots I don't know I honestly swear I'm gonna be Eleanor Riddby you know the beat was all nobody turns up it's just gonna be me and some old priest sticking me in a hole or something oh my god it's that fear of you know we'll do a podcast for you don't worry I don't know anyway yeah but you know it's one of those things where you do you have that mortality moment what do you think oh am I gonna die alone am I gonna have people around me and am I gonna think no one's coming and then the world turns up or am I that egotistical that I think the world's gonna turn up no one comes you know is I think for me that's what I got out of that one same thing that's probably why it made me more emotional than I'd actually hate it yeah I told you that yeah that is one bit in the in the lead of to his death is close screen that's pain that is pure pain and emotion behind that scream I know I think you took a lot a lot of these like of personal stuff to to get to that to get to that moment so that kind of I don't do very well when men cry no I I do not want to be a good episode I don't do very well by men cry and that moment right there he's not exactly crying but he's crying he's in you can tell he's crying in pain yeah and it's hard but if he's absolutely he's a heart is breaking in that moment and it's such a in the nicest way possible such a good death it's a nice it's a nice ending to his death it was it was it was fitting it was poetic incredibly poetic and he's Mary Poppins y'all the only man ever made me blush I don't know if I told this story before to you guys I am not a man I did not know that you met Roker yeah I'm like I'm using I've met him a couple of times but the first time I met him I took a copy of Slither and I took a copy of my moorats compendium and got into sign what inside the front of it and I went up to him and I said I'm really sorry I've got two things I said it's like okay obviously I paid for two things but I said I've got two things anyway you took one look at me but he definitely I only went I love a greedy woman why I went the kind of a bloody post box and I said then I was like that is a mean that I would have went it's a good job the other two there's no words it was so unexpected because I just thought it's a no problem but I'm down but it was the fact he looked dead in the eyes and as he said he did that smirk you know that's a good smirk and I was just like Roker and he said I saw your balls sucking moorats everybody did everybody did yeah I hope he washes hands the chocolatous but um I bet he gets that joke so much now blessing he's coming cons he's maybe new for I'm sure wrestling with him kicking out somewhere he is just one he's just a me like he's amazing isn't and is it yeah and Henry portrait of serial killer oh yeah that man is a that man is amazing well him and Sean him and Sean are coming to one of these shows and I've got the vinyl the colored vinyl of the bell co-experiment all right and I'm desperate for them to sign it and every time they come I've always been too busy to go and get them both on it but Sean's gonna be there as well and that's not Sean so I'm like I got to get them to sign my vinyl you know you might get announced to the northeast one with the city of Hickenlo fingers crossed yeah we are the army of the jokes that we are we are as the in between is it yeah yes um this is my friend sweet for great divis to be announced I'll be with that to be fair yeah that would be so cool I would love to say down next to the grad divis that would be interesting again that is such a good segue over the whole friends bitch for my my last pick my last pick is probably one of the more I'm gonna make sure I get his name right one of the most heartbreak and heartbreak and death heartbreak and aftermath has one of the greatest lines in ever one about his classes Thomas J.
Senate from I know fuck me this hits me in the worst place the worst place it's the death like it's not obviously it's going around the bees but it's the aftermath it's Vader's it's Vader's realization I bet because she avoids it completely she avoids the fact that he's gone the Thomas today is gone and it's when he's lying there and the realization kicks in for Vader that because she starts talking from like he's still like come on we're gonna go play and then she realizes he doesn't have his glasses on but I don't know about it's best performances as well to be fair it's it's Jamie to cut this as well yeah who plays here Morticians artists are kind of insane she's a mortician artist yeah and I watch and make a part of the death yes I watch an actual mortician watch this whole thing and she could not she loves the movie and she didn't shit on it at all but she couldn't stop laughing at the embalming scene when Vader walks in and there's two people embalming a person and neither one of them have gloves on neither one has gloves on protection she went you realize how much spray and what you are dealing with in there you burn your fucking hands off yeah and but the scene of the Thomas dear's death is come on for a kid back in the 90s it was it was heartbreak and you don't expect the best friend to get it and she had a heart broken as well by a teacher that was the thing with this type of movie okay I'm out it was before spoilers was before the next and no one fucking knew till you saw this film that it was gonna be of the fucking bees a lot of shit the bees get the poo bees are getting such a bad rap after this death that they are struggling to recover from it no that was in the 90s that was Nicholas Kaitersville not poor my god what about the bees what about the bees what about the bees what about the bees I'm so sorry actually that's so funny that bees what the fuck was he thinking and the CG IB's as well what the fuck was he thinking this my goal used real bees the wind the wind hard not the wind hard core my call call me calling call me took one for the team but yeah Thomas dear's death is it's horrifically sad it's just a strange because I do love the film I go that's like the decision making and to say why did they make my goal to after that yes oh my god I totally forgot about that so they made us able to have a good day oh yeah I have a better at the same cost and a chance he wasn't it and a chance he yeah kalumski oh yeah and I wanted to be called Vader so badly like so badly that is such a fucking badass name and I thought that my mom was at the start was as well I was like I want to be called Vader it did not pass with my friends so going to the gods is always always going strong since the 90s and what he did it come out 1990 I think I was around 1415 when I came out I'm not sure it was 1991 I was 11 I was 11 when that come out yeah how old were we I am I do my so I need to so yeah 10 9 9 9 10 yeah yeah you were 10 I was 9 yeah and I was old 11 that is just it's size it's a cold freak and it's like for some kids it's their first glimpse of death of grief yeah it's fucking terrible the way that it was I was about the same age as I am yeah and I had already had some experience with death at that age so for me I've always had a very good ability to compartmentalize things and so it didn't it didn't like affect me in the floods of tears things I was just more upset that I'd actually got the killed off of my kali colkin for a little while like actually killed like a lot of girls yeah because I think it was the same year it was like earlier in the year or later in the I can't remember I think it might I want to say how my line was the year before was 19 90 90 it was definitely he looks he looks he looks younger on my girl but my girl I don't know it's around the same time because he doesn't all but as well yeah and and I was even younger on that as well yeah so it was like I was like he was growing up I was growing up the same pace as my kali colkin and like yeah and then seeing him in home alone and it was like oh he didn't die it's fine he's okay he's not really glad he got the bad guys it's all good and he didn't need his glasses he can see without his glasses find his way because now so when he doing it remain a formal one whether to use bees to fuck them up yeah these things are like bees but even no glasses but yeah Thomas dear is it's a hard one it's a it's a very emotional one that's still to this day a 40 year old and absolutely emotionally cripple me like I am absolutely no good after watching the scene in the when it is funeral I will I'm sobbing so Thomas dear is my last pick cool well mine's probably the most obvious pick of them all this as I said I've talked about this movie numerous times I know Sam doesn't like this movie and but to me this is what I fell in love with cinema I fell in love with movies I like adore this movie to this day and it holds so much special memories and reverence in my life not just like the fact that I don't like it if it's like that specialty yeah but the death scene in it is just when I saw it as a kid I thought it was like one of the most amazing things I've ever seen and the performance of the death scene was just hilarious when I watch back at the Lafayette about now but it was just so so moving and I'm melting I'm melting I'm melting oh yeah I'm melting the way I'm melting I could have put money on you picking a wizard of ours option tonight I really don't like this film I'm really sorry and know how special it is to you but what a choice good choice yes but saying it like I haven't the audacity to kill a witch by just by doing something simple by throwing a bottle of water over by accident and the melton scene as a kid was just scary as fuck like she's just going away and like just into the nothingness and just just blaming the other thing and just how everyone looks terrified but then the change to the like a little minions afterwards which is dead then it goes off like and director of these the new hero um but saying that for the first time watching that with like I get goosebumps watching it with like like me mad me dad and I say make me grandmother and stuff like this this is what always brings back the woman fuzzies but I could not have this death in there because this movie is just basically like the pitney epitony of what movies movies like cinema is to me and this is why I love fantasy films and stuff like that it's movie magic maybe sister being taught about this over the last few days is movies that make you go up all you shit that is movie magic right there and wizard of ours I'll say and I'm not the biggest fan of it but that is movie magic that makes you that transport to you into places your mind never thought you could go to and there's a lot of films I can do that and I knew I knew that she would be on your list I hate the fact that I don't like it and I was fortunate I was gonna make I'm just kidding that we won the end as me go watch until you do like it I've tried the whole fantastical thing I like what you're saying about cinema though with that film rings true I mean you imagine 1939 you're on the brink of war at that point as well you just had the first one second one's coming about okay not so much for America but you're just in general and you're sitting down in the cinema which was a big thing back then it was you got dressed up to go to the cinema oh yeah your sunday best you don't turn up in jogging bombs and trainers and sit in a lazy popcorn and you know and you know it was that you had your news before you watch your film so you would have had all this about what's going on in europe and blah blah blah and then you sit down to watch this movie that starts off black and white and it's a big destruction scene and then can you imagine how you must have felt as a person watching that for the first time in 1939 when the door opens and there's colour yeah colour yeah so it's hecany colour as well that's colour i think it's a new colour your mind just it pops right there and then because it's not like any other colour film that i'm aware of that was out of the time this was like the yellows that Queens, it was so intense all the colours and so when you watch it even I think I don't know how old I was when I first watched it But I just remember being annoyed with the scare, now the Tim man annoyed me I'll scare quite a lot as well because he kept losing him, he's inside and he got sapphire and Stay still man! But like, Toto was always the win for me because I love a dog so Yeah, nothing bad happens to the dog as well, that's all it's going to be So I mean, it's just I always think of that film from that perspective like if I was in 1939 and I was watching How amazed I would be seeing that for the first time and there's all this other cat going on in the background and There's that there's a lot of films that I would love to put myself in a position of like How did people react to it? Like the excesses is one of them like how was like audiences at the time Prepare for this? Like how you're about it?
I think where you're right, Wizard of Oz would have been an absolute Holy shit moment for people I think as well with that with the way I filmed something dad used to show us when I was a kid as well It wasn't just the standard like there was always the Disney films and stuff But he always started out on the old's lower than Hardys on the marks And the marks were this so I did watch a lot of black and white movies when I was a kid So when I as Dan said when you see the Wizard of Oz and it starts off with the black and white And you see the tornado and you see it all kicking off and you think oh what the fuck's going on here And as you said when you open the door and you just hit with a variety of colors And I've never seen a movie like this before as a kid So when it came along and it just absolutely took me breath away Again like the death scene is in it as well always just stay with us Because it's not what you're expecting at the time You think there's gonna be like a battle or like she's gonna be sat on fire Or there's gonna be something else dropped on her because we've already been knowing that house being dropped on her In color, but I'm gonna put a lot of water thrown under the me and I'm else Oh, I can just only imagine because like you are me she has to go like she has to go But in my head, I mean, how is that gonna have they just gonna drop something on her like we are like that That has happened and that's how they that's how the system went out Maybe she would just take her out in that manner Not the fact that her whole fucking body melts to the floor This is a children's film Oh, no, the book is really dark If you ever read the book it's way darker than the film But I mean to be honest with you that the concept of the way that the bad guy dies in the film Is the fact that she could have been taken out with just something as simple as having a shower Yeah That's fucking the rain Yeah, exactly Oh my god, she's gonna be thinking No, that's why my brain went on That's why she's green She must hum That's all I kept thinking That witch must give off my radius of stink because she can't bathe Think anything remotely wet Yes, or water place It's like the thought about the fact that she could never shower But to be further, they do get around that and they'll give a different story So anyone who's saying wicked wiggle knows how it really ends Right, I haven't seen that yet, sorry I'm not supportive of it, it's one of my favorite shores But yes, that was my final pick Now, I know we've talked about like seeing how difficult this was There's so many ones that have been on the list And show about like, um, smocksteath and Star Trek I want to see a three, I think Because I was too Star Trek, I can't remember which one now Good will tell us in the chat But when he's put himself on the reactor to basically sacrifice himself For the need for the many, the need of the one type thing That one always kind of like resonated a little bit What did I miss? My headphones went off Oh, it's just talking about spot-line Oh, okay, so Trek stuff, that's alright Okay, so that's fine I didn't miss anything Cool, but I was gonna breathe Good will I will I'll just mess up and run up that hill Ah, I was like two, yeah sorry, sorry, raffle car I'm the best starter Ohhh The other two ones I actually flitted on as well Was the death from 13 ghosts the lawyer When the glass comes down and just cuts them in half And you seem slimed down Ohhh That was just like editing But also a million years to die in the west When the block of ice falls on the person unexpectedly And everyone's like, everyone fucking dies in the west Everyone dies at the fair as well Well that was just like the most stupid and idiotic ones as well Jump to me mind I've got an honorable mention for the priest and the omen Puck nor do I want to go out that way? Right Just speed it Speed it through the chest and pin to the floor I don't want no, no that's not good Um, what's the feeling with the boat? And the lawyer That's it That was the one that I was gonna say That was the one that I was gonna say That was gonna be my pick And I kept thinking Someone else is gonna choose it So I won't say it Cause it's such a A hell of an opening scene No one will mention it If someone picks it I'll just hold off, I'll hold off But yeah that was my top number one to talk about I'm so sorry No, it's cool It's just a total of them to be felt It's really bad but that'll open it I love it And I'll tell them That open it is horrific law And especially the girls just standing there like Oh, okay Like she's totally calm I would be hysterical I'd be chum enough to sign of the board I don't want to be a part of that It's totally browning, isn't it?
Young Emily Browning at the beginning It is, yeah I just think that at that point I've not seen anything like that Calmish to open a film with You know, like literally something is simple I mean you'd sing fine of destination I think that come up right to this film At this point, the first one So you knew of like a series of accidents So when you first see it happening And you see things start pinging up You're like, oh where's this done? Is it a ghost? Cause the film's called ghost shit Is it a ghost that's doing it? And then you realize We come to realize the rest of the plot anyway But just one tiny thin wire To capitate in Cutting people in half Literally cutting through their faces And then just watching the slow aftermath Of everything just stripping in And then the sea of appendages And tall shows and heads And people trying to still stick their legs back on again And like That is like one part of like horror That does not freak me out Is when people get sliced And it takes a long time for the slide off I am actually quite satisfied with that And I think one of the most One of the most of the films I'm most hit In the goddamn world of cube Fucking it that film I can't believe I actually Oh it's so bad And I actually persevered with it I'm sure there's a death in there Where that happens And it's like lasers And it's like cubes of art So satisfying I like it The other ones I was like Toy with mentioned but to be honest You could just do a whole episode Talk about the deaths on these ones As the fan has done Said the final destination movies Just because each movie was kind of one Up in each other And each one is just out there Outlanded actually It's hard to name one Just from that movies I would really like us to do a final destination So just to force me into actually Watching them from start to finish Because I'm getting into like franchises That I started back in the day Started watching originally And not finished them The saws have been I've done that and I love it And I want to do the same with final destination I feel like I'll have the same That'll have the same effect on us Yes So that would be interesting I would like that Cool So any more other dimensions there Dan?
I've got two One of them is Tucker and I were able to do it I was able to do it with that one It's all cool The kid that eats himself in a wood chipper Like he bends down And the kid just jumps above him And then gets his head first Into the wood chipper Every death was a complete accident And it was just like Oh yeah It was like a series of unfortunate events That made them look like the kind of rednecks And it was one of the most underrated movies That anybody Or 100% agree with you Please don't do a second one Leave it just leave it It's a masterpiece Leave alone My second honorable mention Is Bill Murray in Zombieland Right Because he pretends to be a zombie He comes in He's scared I hate Jesse Eisenberg But he comes in And he should have been It should have been Bloody should have been He comes in And he's like He's trying to pretend he's all zombie And he's already told what he holds in And then by saying that he's not And he comes in And they're watching Ghostbusters I think And he starts to move And then he shoots him with his fucking shotgun And I'm like You just killed Bill Murray And he's like He's sitting there and he's going He's sitting there and he's going Do you have any regrets? And he goes Garfield I mean I just Bill Murray is always a winner for me So that one had to be said And last time we talked As well because you were quite excited for Antman and Quadamity Just because It had Bill Murray in How did you find it? I've not seen it Alright Well I've not had the time No I've not had the time yet And I'm like I actually have seen the reviews And I'm like Oh It's been a long time It's been a long time Just go with it If you want to pin me I actually really enjoy it My husband really enjoyed it Just you just go in with your With an organ mind Do you want to take any Because you'll take something That other people have And I'll just drink it It's one of the most more comic book movies that we've had From Marvel and one Absolutely It's Cassie She's not my Cassie But you will have the whole thing I'll have the whole thing You'll have the whole Cassie There's more There's more than just her I want Peanut I don't want that Cassie She's not Cassie Yes I 100% agree And I think Marvel might be taking a hint as well Because it's one thing that was said repeatedly She's not a good Cassie Just Cassie's daughter in Supernatural God damn it But yeah It's really not If I'm going to go with one more Punching death Which just sprung to my mind The day don't or not forgive me If I do not mention it 1996 Optimist death In the Transformers The movie Well the most horrific cartoon death We actually had this argument Because when we've done a live event in Silicon Where we've done a panel We've done 80s versus 90s movies And Jay can shout it Attended to one of me Because I was fighting on the 80s part That was in nothing has been more Saturday than Ash's death in Pokemon And this has been an anime festival though This is where we had all the anime nerds Everyone was getting out in yeah And Sam just pointed over and said See Optimus Prime So we mentioned Optimus Prime And the room just went quiet Because everyone fucking agreed They knew They knew I wasn't allowed to partake In that a bit Because I was not seeing movies I couldn't sit there and go I've not seen that one Repeatedly over and over again That'd have been embarrassing You made a good choice So we are doing Silicon again We're gonna do top three Cartoons Because we're not for an hour I mean we're holding this one Yeah so we did another panel That's on the con But yes so that is our top five Maybe deaths So I have so fucking enjoyed tonight Let's talk about Death more often Let's just sit together and do it Well actually just trying to think Because next week I think I think we're at Converse on the con We'll have got Donna and Tutti coming on Friday To tell us all about the history of Silicon and That's going to be quite interesting The lovely Donna's going to return Then unfortunately we won't be live Next Sunday Because it is my win at anniversary That's right, that's right But we are going to be live on Yes And celebration It is a 6 year I remember that So I'm not in the bad books yet I'm not in the bad books yet I'm to buy a present tomorrow as well as That's a spin away she doesn't listen to this Um also So I think it's one doing on the third Which is the Monday And it's going to be the Red Dwarf episode So we are going to be talking about Red Dwarf and the boys from the dwarf Sound looks confused there I'm just trying to think Monday It's the third of April Is it about quality?
