Netflix Wrangled Into Texas GOP Race As Ken Paxton Sues

Texas Attorney General and Senate candidate Ken Paxton has sued Netflix, accusing the platform of harvesting user data—including from children—without consent and using “dark patterns” to keep viewers watching. Netflix calls the lawsuit baseless, saying it respects privacy and complies with laws as it prepares to defend against the claim in court.  Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt signed Senate Bill 1481, doubling mandatory recess in elementary schools from 20 to 40 minutes per day, split into two periods if needed. The law also bans taking recess away as a form of discipline.
