Neurodivergence & Mediumship: A Theory on a Metaphysical Missing Link in Preternatural Cognition

Being a psychic medium can sometimes make you feel like you're loosing your marbles. And there are various kinds of mediums. Each utilizing their psychic gifts and metaphysical talents differently. As metaphysical professionals we've theorized our own hypothesis on why and how someone's perception of the paranormal and supernatural may be linked to psychology, neuroscience, and genetics. Some of Psychology's hot topics today seem to center around the ideas of societies' thought processes. Notably neurotypical cognition and neurodivergent brain activity. One of these two is considered an "abnormal" or "atypical" thought process, influencing the way a person interprets and perceives the world. Similar to one of the two neurological cognitive functions we will briefly summarize, perhaps a lack of understanding and a general perpetuation of ignorance revolving around psychic abilities has led to the creation of stigma.
