Nevada Expands Apprenticeships with New Grant | Las Vegas News

Nevada’s getting a major boost for job training with a $1.54 million federal grant to launch FORGE Nevada — Future Opportunities through Registered Apprenticeships, Growth and Education — targeting booming sectors like advanced manufacturing, mining, education, hospitality, and IT. Instead of businesses building programs alone, the state is using intermediaries to lower barriers, helping small firms join and expanding access. The goal? 225 new apprentices, 300 pre-apprentices, and three new programs across the board — all designed to build skills, create careers, and connect Nevadans with high-demand jobs.
